Sister Jayanti – 19th September 2021 – GCH: Drama is waiting for us to get ready …

20 September 2021

Tomorrow is the day that we begin the 14 days in which there are special offerings for departed spirits and in Hindi it’s called Shradh. I think most of you are aware this is a system that happens in Bharat. But it’s also interesting that the remembrance of ancestor souls happens not only in Bharat but it’s actually in all the continents and all the traditions. I’m remembering in particular a situation in which a person who became one of the instruments together with Nazar Bhai, but the idea was first from Marcus from South Africa, who has passed on now. But Marcus at some point around 1995 or maybe a bit later, had the idea of a project that would cover the whole of Africa and, of course, that resulted in 48 countries in Africa having centres. A few still remain without centres but … so he was very creative in his thinking.

I am remembering when he became a Brahmin and he’d been a Brahmin for about a year, he spoke to me and he said, I want to share an experience with you and I was interested. He said that I’ve found the way to reach young Africans. When I talk to them about ancestors they’re very familiar with that concept. I hadn’t thought about African spirituality and ancestor worship but he was telling me that they’ve all grown up with that idea that it’s very important to honour and worship ancestors and so on. So I tell them at some point, you are going to be an ancestor but only if you have that quality of life and character that allows other people to see that your life is a very elevated life and so you have to make that elevated life now so you can be listed as an ancestor and yes, then there will be offerings made to you also. He said that concept of becoming an ancestor was something that struck them very deeply and many of them would want to know more and it would lead to a conversation about Raja Yoga, but his entry point was ancestor worship.

It made me aware that across that whole continent there’s a whole lot of emphasis on that. But, of course, you all know about the Chinese, Taoism, Buddhism, ancestor worship. So today, although Baba hasn’t used that word, Baba is talking about our role now and Baba has mentioned two very specific things that have to happen at this moment, because we’re seeing that it is the last chapter. One of them is that, together as a collective we should be able to reveal God, and the second is that we have to make sure that we’re able to give something to everyone. Baba specifically mentioned that, whether the souls that you’re serving become deities or whether the souls that you’re serving become the bhagats, the devotees of the Copper Age, you don’t have to think about that, but just simply make sure that you are giving. In the giving those souls who are going to become deities, they first have to be able to receive something, and then they can become the devtas, the ones who give. The first step is that they should be able to receive something and then the second step is, yes, if they’re going to take something now from you, even the bhagats have to receive something of value from you, and that then becomes their foundation for worship of the deities in the Copper Age. So now just be the ones who are able to give on both accounts.

You are the ones who are the children of the Bestower so just as the emperors of the Golden Age, or even later on, the kings are always remembered as the bestowers, the mother and father, who are able to give and sustain others, so that role of being able to give now – it’s now that I have to be able to be an instrument so that Baba is able to give. So, I found that very interesting, that if you want to become one of those souls that is remembered in the Copper Age or one of those souls that’s playing that very special role in the Golden and Silver Ages then the secret is to give at this moment.

So, that idea of worshipping souls who have elevated characters and elevated lifestyle and are in that awareness, it’s something that’s there in all the different traditions (ancestor worship or offering of bhog). In Christianity the have 31st October, all souls day, when it’s not just the memorial of one or two or a few individuals but it’s all the souls that have departed. So a very interesting concept. I hadn’t thought about it earlier but, just today, that recognition that it’s one of the things that connects all the different traditions, whichever continent, whichever spiritual path they follow. In fact it’s true of all the different traditions, birth, death, weddings, major life changes, all of them are honoured and celebrated. The food that you share might be different, the customs that you share might be different but they’re observed to signify that there’s something sacred in that and of course now at the end of Kaliyug you just go and sign something in a register and that’s it. There’s no awareness of the sacred commitment or the sacred promise in anything. Or parents just choose a name. In India they choose all the names of the film stars now. Earlier they used to choose the names of the deities, and that’s just in my lifetime, so nobody chooses names of deities for their children anymore. They always choose names of film stars or even politicians. So things have changed dramatically by the end of Kaliyug but generally old traditions honour each time there’s something significant that happens during life and they honour it as something sacred.

Even the relationship with nature. Every single tradition has honoured nature, the environment, our home, so this is how nature has managed to continue to provide for us for 5000 years. It’s only in the last hundred years that all the things connected with remembering that nature is sacred have been forgotten. And, of course, over the last 50 years just total commercialism taking over. But all the traditions remind us not just of our relationship with each other and with God but also our relationship with nature itself. So, we’ve seen how bhakti has deteriorated over this last period of Kaliyug. I won’t go more into that. But just this idea that now is the time that we’re creating whatever it is we wish through the whole cycle. This is that moment.

So, Baba is saying, it’s only, and at that time it was even fewer, but even today if you think about the population of the world, it’s still only a handful who actually become Brahmins, which is also fine because we know that part of Satyug is the limited number of people there, so when people say that one of the big problems of the world is the big population, it’s absolutely true. Baba agrees with that. It’s just that they have a different plan to reduce the population and Baba has a very different plan.

So, today’s murli is very much about serving all souls and being able to reveal Baba to the world and, you’ve often heard this expression “revealing Baba”. One aspect is that it’s not one individual who is going to reveal Baba, it has to be the whole community. There have always been individuals who’ve been powerful and who have come and given a message and their life is powerful and elevated, whether it’s Buddha or Christ, whoever it may be, but a whole community being able to reveal God and glorify God and show the world who God is, that hasn’t happened. And, of course, in drama it wasn’t their role. They came to establish one branch, so they did what they needed to do. But today Baba is saying that the main purpose of everything that you do, whether you are giving drishti to somebody, the way you look at them, what you say, what you speak, the way you say it, the steps that you take, can you reveal Baba through everything you’re doing? And, revealing Baba means connecting them with Baba. So every soul has a right to be connected with God, so am I able to bring others closer to God and make them see what God’s qualities are.

Baba has mentioned it often but has mentioned it again today, there are many who give brilliant speeches out there in the world and people will say that he speaks, or she speaks, with great authority or of wonderful things but here also sometimes the same thing happens but the question is, are they able to give others the awareness that what they are saying isn’t just from them, but it’s actually knowledge that has come from God, so that then those who are listening are able to connect with God.

Baba has commented on how when there’s love in the heart then it’s like a musical instrument and the one who has love for God will have only songs of praise going on in their heart all the time. I hadn’t appreciated that this word ‘dilruba’ also is actually a musical instrument. So the song that’s playing in the hearts of those who love Baba should simply be praise of God and sometimes it changes a little bit, and there are two other things that come in. Sometimes it becomes complaints to God and so check and see, are there complaints to God going on in my heart. Baba, why is this happening? Why is that happening? It shouldn’t be like this. She shouldn’t be like this. Why is that one like that? It shouldn’t be like that at all. And, secondly, sometimes it’s praise of the self. It was so good I was able to do this. I did this so well. So Baba’s saying the songs shouldn’t be praising yourself. The songs should be of praise of Baba.

And, so if Baba’s in my heart, yes, Baba’s going to be present in my words in such a way that souls are going to be able to come closer to Baba. So, my words are powerful, for everyone, I don’t mean me personally. But people remember words you said to them for decades and they’ll remind you. Sometimes, they’ll say that, what you said to me in such and such a situation helped me so much and it really encouraged me to move on and at other times somebody else will say you said such a thing and it so much. They carry both, the hurting words, and they also carry the loving uplifting words. So am I so aware that my words have such an impact, and it’s a reality for everybody, out there, here. Words have a great impact but are my words such that people are able to recognise who God is and come closer to God. So, it’s not one individual but it has to be the whole community. Eight jewels are ready, that’s fine, but drama is still waiting and the suffering of the world still continues, and so it’s waiting for all of us to be ready also.

When we think about time then sometimes there’s a thought that, well, we’ve been hearing Baba say this for a long time. It was very interesting somebody writing to me the other day, in another country, and saying, she feels that reading each day’s murli is like reading a fresh newspaper. It’s like Baba is talking about the sign of the times and what is going on now. Why she thought of that is because somebody said to her, when I read the scriptures it feels like I’m reading an old newspaper. When I read Baba’s murli, it’s today’s news, fresh news. So, Baba’s telling us everything that’s going but Baba’s telling us the secrets of everything that led to what’s going on. Why is all of this happening, so understanding all of that and recognising the time it is now. So what do my eyes reveal? Do my eyes reveal God’s love, God’s compassion, God’s kindness and the steps that I take (Baba always connects steps with srimat), and so are the steps that I take the steps of srimat, the father’s footsteps, and just think about that.

How did Baba live and work and what did he do? And, we’ve had the fortune of hearing stories about Baba from Dadi, and not just one Dadi but all the Dadis, but also through the avyakt murlis. Some people find the avyakt murlis beautiful and fascinating. I do. And, some people find that the avyakt murlis are somewhere up there and they can never reach up there and so they’re not quite able to take it as Baba talking to them. The first time I heard avyakt murlis in January 1969, I was stunned by the beauty of the language. With sakar Baba, the language is very simple, the Hindi language. I think it has around only 200 words in the vocabulary. That’s it. Learn 200 words of Hindi and you’ll be able to understand a fair bit of the sakar murli. But the avyakt murli has such a vast range of language and very often I have to ask what does this word mean. What is the translation of this word? Like today, the word ‘dilruba’. From the feeling it was a word of great love, but it’s also a musical instrument so that’s new for me.

But Avyakt Baba is always talking about Brahma Baba and the efforts that Brahma Baba made. And so, Shiv Baba, through the sakar versions, Brahma Baba was able to learn and understand what he needed to do and achieve that stage through 33 years of practice. Many of us here in this gathering are 33 years plus in gyan, and so we can see why Baba is number one. But also Baba said that, even if you can’t be number one, you can be in the first division, so make sure that your effort is such that you enter the first division at least. So following in the steps of Baba’s srimat, and it means that, yes, I can definitely reach that first division and be able to be part of that community, that collective that’s able to reveal Baba to the world.

I’m very aware that at this moment now when you come in white clothes, or even if it’s not white, your family knows that you are coming to the Brahma Kumaris. They understand that. So, what transformation have they been able to see in you that enables them to say, this isn’t just another organization or another little twig or branch of the tree? But it enables them to say there’s something special happening here, something unique and they want to come closer and they want to find out more about what’s going on. So, Baba’s revelation is not far away but I think it needs that last spurt of effort from everyone to actually make it happen so that everywhere there is the sound that, yes, this must be God’s work. So today the reminder of the ancestor souls and, starting tomorrow, special bhog will be offered every Sunday, but be aware that it’s a universal awareness of ancestors and what they’ve done for us and also how we can also be part of that and be ancestors ourselves. So, every murli has many layers of understanding.

Today, we’ve got something that happens every year, our fire safety video and it was actually very stunning for me to see what happened next door in the garage (there had been a fire some weeks back) and you still see a pile of stuff there but that night, at about ten o’clock at night the fire must have started and we could smell the smoke coming in through our windows. When we went up on the roof to see what was going on we just saw four fire engines and a lot of firemen and a lot of smoke. And, it was only because they had safety precautions. Apparently, one of the lithium car batteries had exploded – your telephone battery can explode – so just be careful. But in this case they had some fire protection things in place so the fire didn’t spread. Otherwise we were literally about 2 to 3 feet away from the fire, so I was grateful that they had their fire safety in place. So, very important. So we’ll be seeing that and after that we’ll be having bhog.

Sister Jayanti –12th September 2021– GCH, London: Now is the time to experiment, experience and practise

14 September 2021

The murli today is about sitting on the throne of self-respect so that you can have powerful yoga.   If you are seated on that throne, position, chair you will feel – and Baba has used 3 words - Baba says firstly do you understand the different titles that Baba has given you, but further, not just understand the titles but do you accept it.  Understanding it will bring you subtle happiness but accepting it will give that feeling that it belongs to you and then further,  as you apply it in your life,  that will bring intoxication.

Every sakar and avyakt murli contains so many powerful titles of self-respect and I think this is because one of Baba’s main tasks is to lift us to that awareness of knowing who we are and of having no ego but yet a huge amount of appreciation of our fortune and the intoxication of that and so to give us all those titles Baba has had to work very hard so that we neither have a superiority complex nor an inferiority complex.  Yet it is still very easy to let those titles slip away and think about external things.

The word that Baba used again and again in the murli today is the word success and the Hindi word for that it is siddhi and normally this word is used with another word riddhi siddhi which is used to refer to occult powers.  Some power that is not usual, not normal but the context in which Baba is using the word siddhi is a very different one and Baba has used the word riddhii.

Baba uses rhyming words.  Riddhi - the right method.   If you apply the right method in any situation there is going to be success in that.  The results are going to be very good.

Sometimes some people get a bit disheartened and say that they have been trying to remember the murli for many years and it is not working, that they are trying to have good yoga and not experiencing anything and trying to do a lot of karma yoga and not experiencing any joy from that.

Baba says that if you are not getting the result, check what is the right method and am I following that - and of course it is all to do with consciousness.  When Baba talks about the method He is usually talking about either the right consciousness or one of the divine virtues or the principles.  If I am not doing something based on the principles that Baba is teaching me I will not get the results that I would like to have.  Check what the right consciousness is and what the method Baba is teaching us is.

In the blessing Baba used the word victory and it hasn’t come up recently but very often people used to ask me what is the difference  between success and victory and today’s murli actually clarifies it very well in  that victory is when you are dealing with things internally and so I am dealing with anger, lust, whatever it might be and in the case that Baba is talking about today Baba is saying even when there is pain, when you are settling karma of the body, the suffering that comes as a result of past karma -  practise the bodiless stage and you will be able to have victory over the suffering of karma.  The inner suffering that happens either through karma or the vices that come when I take Baba’s power, understanding and help then I am able to conquer the vices.

So the battle is something that is going on inside.   It is never something that is out there.   It is actually inside and very often the conflict outside happens because I have not sorted out the conflicts inside myself. So victory applies to the battle within.  If we have a debate and we get heated and you win and I lose it is neither a victory for you nor for me.  Both of us have lost because both of us got heated and so Baba is not talking about anything external in terms of this word victory.   It is always the internal battle.

Success seems to be the external results of the things we do internally.  Right method.  Applying that and seeing the results of that and sometimes success may be a little bit delayed.

I was thinking of all the things that Shiv Baba said in terms of service. Baba talks about Baba’s message being taken to all the corners of the world.  Baba is talking about many, many centres opening - the vast difference between the 400 and something centres when Baba left  the physical world and now the many thousands that exist that happened after Brahma Baba and so a lot of the things that come up in the murli Baba doesn’t see with his physical eyes but Brahma Baba and Shiv Baba talking together and Baba is able to see into the future.  Past, present and future being clear and Brahma Baba also in company with Shiv Baba gets coloured by those ideas and also Brahma Baba’s total faith in what Baba has said.   So no results that were visible in that way earlier, but all of that came later.  Some things are only manifesting now.  Baba said there would be mics that will awaken the khumbakana of Bharat and we are still waiting.

There are a lot of things that have happened especially in Bharat but we still have not found those mics that the world respects and the world says that this must be true because so and so is saying it.  We are still waiting for some of those scenes.  We get impatient and say I am not seeing any results.  My consciousness was right, I did things in the right way, so what happened.

If you plant a mango tree the tree will give you fruit after about 5 to 7 years, not instantly.  Taking up the aspect of expectation - you are expecting this tree to give you a result and it is not giving you anything but keep doing the work you need to do,  keep planting the good seeds and nourishing, nurturing them, watering them - whatever you need to do and at the right time the result will come. There is a total guarantee that the right method and the right consciousness are going to bring good results.

Baba has often spoken about fortune and today Baba has spoken more about the law and when Baba uses this word “law” this applies to spiritual laws and spiritual principles.

I was thinking about success.   Baba is saying you are the lawmakers.  We don’t lay down the law for anyone else.  But it is by following Baba’s principles myself and ensuring that as I follow Baba’s principles this is the pattern that others are also going to be following.  I am aware of that and to have this awareness means to keep moving forward based on the right principles.

Baba was giving the example of purity again in that.  And many other things - one God.   Baba’s called that one of the principles that you believe in deeply. Also, not just one God but God the Father.  Again it struck me that the one relationship that everyone all over the world remembers for God is God the Father.  Not even mother so much.  Definitely not God the Teacher, God the Guru, that comes in Bharat but even in India God as my Teacher is the Geeta and that says God speaks but that feeling, that relationship of God as my Teacher is very exclusive to Brahmins; which makes sense because Baba says that through this study you will attain the kingdom and not everyone is going to attain the kingdom.

So it is the Teacher relationship that enables us to attain the kingdom but Father is a very universal concept and so Baba is saying that is one of the principles.  Follow the principle of one Father and you get the inheritance.  The relationship of the father comes so strongly because of the inheritance.   So Baba is approaching the whole subject of laws in a very interesting way.

To what extent do I believe the basic principles of gyan? To what extent am I following the basic principles of gyan in terms of the quality of my life and in my behaviour?

Looking at success - when some people see success they say well that is their fortune, which it is, but there has been work done that has created that fortune and that success and so each one has their own destiny, their own fortune, their own part.  That is also a reality that we see all the time.  But somehow, even this basic concept we forget and so then the comparison and the competition comes in and of course sometimes even conflict, but Baba said at one point, your fortune will follow you wherever you go, no one can take your fortune away from you.

It is the same with success, your success will follow you wherever you go if you have done the work and nobody can touch it.  It is your shadow and no one can steal it.

There was a lesson I learned from Dadi very early on:  she put it a bit differently.  She said whatever is your right is always going to come to you.  You are never deprived of what is your right.  Fortune and success are going to come if I am following the right method and so I never need to complain about destiny, drama, and people.   No complaints, just acceptance.

Baba is using the word acceptance for the title He gives us.  We enjoy all the titles that Baba gives us and today Baba is calling us the lawmakers.  Of course with the wrong interpretation you lay down the law but even with the right interpretation, am I really a lawmaker.  Is everything that I am doing not just following a law but is it actually setting the law for the whole cycle?  Baba has reminded us of how the things that we are doing today – like the portrait of the future last week – is creating the future.  I hear the title, lawmaker, I like it, I understand it, but to what extent am I accepting that this is my title.  This makes you aware of what it is you are thinking and doing at all times; not just in morning class or at amrit vela but what am I doing all the time.  It is creating a system for the future and if I am not following the right method then I am not going to be part of that system.

The ones who are doing the right things are going to be creating the law and that system is going to be fixed and if I am not following that system I am not going to be part of that in the future.  That is the connection and if I accept it then am I following it through.  I like it, I want to take it, but am I following it through in my life?

Think about the fortune that you have today of finding God, belonging to God,  receiving all of God’s knowledge, of having sustenance from God, of experiencing God’s love, receiving every single one of the titles that God has given.  It is in the sakar murlis that Baba used to say to us, and it came up recently, that they say that the sparrows dried the ocean.  Baba is giving us the title of master oceans of knowledge and so all we little sparrows, we take and take and I used to think that drying up the ocean meant that finally at the end Baba will have given everything and we would all go home together and what I didn’t realise at that time was that the time that the Ocean would dry up and Baba would not be giving us anything fresh any more would happen while we were still going onwards.  So we are still going on with service and the efforts -  everything, but it is now the time to see whether, truly, whatever we have taken from Baba are we experimenting with it and experiencing it and applying it in our lives.   And so the sparrows still haven’t dried the Ocean up even though the Ocean has stopped giving anything new, but there is so much that we haven’t yet done with the things that God has already given us and so it is now the time to be able to experiment, experience and then practise.

Every single title of God Baba has shared with us.  God has kept nothing in reserve except for one thing.  Baba always says: I don’t give you the key to trance.  Which is fine because you don’t need to experience trance to understand anything that Baba has said.

Mama - zero visions.  Brahma Baba had many visions – the two extremes..   Brahma Baba’s visions started the transformation at the beginning of the yagya. and most people in between Baba and Mama to a certain extent.   And Baba has said that at the end you will have visions but they will be very specific ones about your own stage and the stage of others.  Transparency, total clarity.   But at this moment to be able to actually take all the other titles that God has and use them in a way Baba wants me to use them.  One example, Baba uses this word, a Hindi expression: jananjananha.  The one who knows all secrets.  Would it help me to know the secrets in your heart?  Probably not as it may create a lot of waste thoughts and Baba is saying:  understand all the secrets of the drama.  The beginning, the middle and the end.  The secrets of the Creator and the secrets of creation.

I do need to understand that here is an action I am about to perform.  Have I thought about it?  Why am I doing this?  Where did this begin?  What is going to be the result of this?  And so today I decide whether I should or I should not.  So also thinking about the beginning, middle and end in the context of what I am doing each moment.   Even a particular thought that crosses my mind - where is this thought going to lead me to.  Is it going to lead me closer to Baba, is it going to uplift me or is it going a little bit differently.

I see how the Dadis had such total attention not just on their words and actions but on the quality of their thoughts and this is why the result is already pretty clear for the Dadis.   We know who the 8 jewels are and there is a little bit of margin maybe  but mostly we know.  How did they attain that status?  By watching themselves.  And Baba says if you are watching others you lose track of time.  Time runs away.  It slips through your fingers but if you keep track of what is going on in yourself at each moment you are able to progress further and so that inner work of keeping track of every thought is needed because then according to the thoughts so my feelings, my consciousness, my attitude and everything else.

If I am doing some work that requires my intellect to be engaged in that, Baba is not saying don’t give it proper attention.  Whatever external work needs attention, give it all the attention needed and do it accurately, and efficiently in the way that glorifies Baba because if a Brahmin does something that goes wrong then who should we blame.  The world would say that you are supposed to be God’s child, what happened?   Do things accurately and efficiently. This is how Baba’s work is going to move forward.

The rest of the time is the time in which usually the mind goes here, there and everywhere with things that are not my business.  Can I use that time well and stay focused?  Watch every thought.  To have that attention is the way in which truly I can have fortune and success at every moment because the right method is the right consciousness.

How should I be thinking at this moment?  By understanding that and following that principle, means that there is going to be good karma and good karma means good results, success and fortune.  So think about the fortune you have already, but also think about what more you need to do to create fortune for the future.  Today we are reaping the reward of whatever good we have done but how much of that is actually my investment for the future?

I think in this birth we are comfortable and this is good fortune.   But what about the immediate future. There is upheaval in the world today and there will be more. Have I created that stage of consciousness in which I know that whatever is happening externally I will experience fortune and God’s love, God’s power and God’s company and nothing will distract me from that?  So even following the right method now and preparing for the immediate future and the fortune of that is something to be aware of.  We have lots more opportunities because with every thought you can create fortune and how many thoughts do we have in the day.  The mind is nonstop but every thought can be creating fortune just by following Baba’s systems.

Sister Jayanti – 5th July 2021 - Revision of Avyakt Murli 30.01.1988 The second step of courage is tolerance

10 September 2021

We are hearing the whole story of Brahma Baba – a story of love, faith, courage, immense courage, a pioneer - an amazing story that the world still doesn’t know about and I hope they will come to hear about very soon.  Baba spoke about the Almighty Authority Father seeing his first elevated creation and I was thinking about how the Creator is always the most powerful – creation will always be a little bit less. Brahma Baba, being number one, became not quite like the Father but the Father will always be the Father and the creation will always be the creation. So, the first deity, Adi Dev, is the one who is first created in the subtle region and then gives birth to Brahma Baba here and, through Braham Baba, all the other Brahmins; and so, he is the first one in the Confluence Age and also the first one in the Golden Age and the one who is remembered as Adi Dev in the temple of Dilwara. The image of tapasya is that first divine being, and then the first deity of the Golden Age, Krishna. Adi Dev with an amazing, very powerful and beautiful title, is the first man, the first deity, the first one, the original one. And then Baba spoke about how this amazing individual had first of all become the karmateet angel, the first one and then Baba reminded us of the story of the surrender, and how powerful that was and because of that first surrender, he claimed the number one status. But that was going to be in the future; what laid ahead of him at that time in the Confluence Age was a very, very different story. Here is a person who was honoured by his community, respected by everyone, even by the kings and the viceroy of that time, even by the gurus of that time. Everybody saw him as being very, very elevated. Then, as soon as he comes to God, there is a very different experience, and so he gets attacked by bad language because people understand that what he is talking about as ‘purity’ is not what they want and so he has to tolerate a huge amount of abuse.

How do you see tolerance? Do you see it as gritting your teeth and saying that I’d better get on with it? No, for Baba, it was very different. Tolerance meant being able to smile. No matter what was happening, no matter how much opposition there was, Baba kept smiling. And this was his tolerance, not a trace of anything in his thoughts, not a trace of anything in his feelings, and so what was reflected on his face was just that gentle loving smile. Of course, for most of us, when we are praised we are very happy to hear that and we smile.  Baba said that’s not tolerance. Tolerance is when you hear defamation about yourself, bad words being spoken about you, and yet you are able to keep smiling. How many of us are able to do that and manage that stage? And so yes, Brahma Baba had to do all of that to be a model, a role model that on a human level we could see and follow in his footsteps and become the same like the Father.

And then Baba explained further in terms of three different aspects of tolerance. So, one is when there is defamation such as bad language being spoken about you; when people who had given you love, now no longer give it and where they see you as their enemy. So how do you face all of that?  You will just make sure that you have nothing but good wishes and good feelings for them. So your tolerance will show not by gritting your teeth and saying let me get on with it, but through a very genuine feeling in your heart that’s able to emerge and be expressed in your kind words to them, in your love for them. So one is the situation where they come to you as your enemy and yet what you are doing is actually sharing with them mercy and compassion so that they too may begin to have a change of heart and have good wishes and good feelings, but you are not waiting for that result – you are simply giving them mercy and compassion because you know that it is an external negative influence, a shadow of anger, that is over them. They are not in their right consciousness, they are not in their right awareness, and so anger, lust maybe, has overtaken them. There is another influence working. And so you are separating the original qualities of the soul from this temporary influence that is working. Because in the story of the Yagya, the people who were opposing Baba were good people, they were well respected in the community, they were into philanthropy. Baba was not saying that they were bad people, no they were good people. But for the moment, there is an influence. And so to be able to have nothing but mercy in your heart, not even thinking I have to forgive them. You have taken nothing negative from them, there is nothing to forgive. All your concern is about their wellbeing and so there is a spontaneous generosity, mercy and compassion for them that they too should pass through this and come out the other side.

So, one was all the things that happened at the start of the Yagya and in the period of establishment and Baba’s amazing cheerfulness through it all. And then the second thing that happened, through the period of service when service first started, were many, many challenges. Sometimes there was a challenge because of individuals who wanted to follow purity. At one point it was the challenge of the beggary part of the Yagya. And at another time it was big challenges such as when the government was not giving us our land that had been requisitioned. Everybody else got their land back, we didn’t get our land back for many, many years. But Baba was treating little and big things as if it was a game. It is not a mountain I am having to cross. It is as light as a ball. And if you hold a ball, it looks big but it is very, very light. And so you are able to stay light as you play with the ball. And so, staying so light, Baba didn’t even feel like it was a burden or a big thing. No, it was a game. And because of Baba’s lightness, he was able to make everyone else around him light also. So Baba is responsible, Baba is taking care of it, Baba is light about it. So I can be light about it also. Otherwise, imagine a parent not having money to feed one child, never mind not having money to feed 350 children. Can you imagine the anxiety, the fear, the stress that a parent could go through? Here Baba is absolutely responsible, and yet it is a game, a ball of light. Baba was remaining very light through all of that. Baba was treating every situation with that sense of nothing new, we have gone through this before, it is not a big deal, we can deal with it, it is fine, and so even that problem wasn’t seen as a problem. It is something that has come, it has come and it will go. So have that attitude by which absolutely no problem is visible, and so if I am confused (Baba spoke about that later in great deal) I will get heavy about it, and the problem is going to be huge. And so, even if it is as big as a mountain, can I minimise it, reduce it so that it becomes a little thing? The opposite can happen, if I don’t have tolerance capacity. My thoughts can make a tiny pebble huge, as huge as a mountain. How am I going to deal with it?  I think about it too much.  Why did this happen, it shouldn’t have happened. Baba has none of these thoughts. It has come, it will pass, nothing new. You hear this in the sakar Murlis - how many times does Baba say nothing new, every kalpa it has come, and every kalpa I have been victorious? So the memory is returning of the past kalpa. And so, being able to reduce big things and minimise them so that you can then deal with them very easily, instead of the rattle that goes on – why, how, if, but, maybe this, maybe that, it shouldn’t be like this and a little thing gets blown out of all proportion. Which side am I on – the one who minimises things so that I can deal with it easily, or the one who expands things and makes everything so huge that it spoils the whole atmosphere? I can see how sometimes I am one and sometimes I am the other, or can I always be the one who is able to minimise?  Why? Because if I take the long route, I am going to find myself tired, exhausted and breathless, and I am going to say I don’t like this. If I find the shortcut by minimising it, then I will be fine, I will be able to deal with it very quickly, very easily. My time and my energy will be saved and I will be enjoying the journey and I will be fresh on arrival. Otherwise I will be exhausted. Baba kept using this word rattle, and how, if there is an empty vessel you put something little in it, then there is a clatter, clatter, clatter, rattle, rattle, rattle - a horrible noise.  But if a vessel is full and complete, then it has great depth and it is silent.  And so using gyan and yoga in our lives we are able to go into the depth of silence and experience that richness and fullness in which things out there really are insignificant. The important thing is how I am using gyan and yoga in my life at this time. Is there a wasteful rattle that is going on in my head?  If it is going on in my head, it is also going to come out in words. Can I learn to get away from expansion and come into the essence? And so if I am using gyan, if I am using yoga, I have that capacity of tolerance. Then, not just in questions of why, how, what, if, but, but in any situation I will be able to get to the essence and I will be able to share that essence, instead of getting into the expansion that is going to take time and energy on everyone’s part and so on all levels. Let me develop the art and skill to be able to come back into the essence and use that in my life, but also help others come to the essence, rather than going into the expansion which is going to take a huge amount of time and space and energy. Of course, if my time and energy is wasted in expansion, again Baba is saying I will feel exhausted and tired, that there is no joy nor pleasure in Sangamyug. If I am able to get to the essence of everything that I am involved with, everything that I am doing, then in that essence I will be able to experience the pleasure of Sangamyug.

Baba spoke about the 14 years, the famous 14 years of renunciation and how sisters who came from very royal homes and had done nothing like that ever in their lives, and perhaps had never seen anything like it in their lives. They took on the task of using the cow dung and patting it to make into patties so they could be used to light the fire to get hot water. This is especially in the days of the beggary part, but even in the days of Karachi, because there was a war going on outside, you couldn’t go outside, you couldn’t buy things, so they used to make their own slippers. Different people took on different roles and somebody became a shoemaker, somebody became a gardener, somebody became a car mechanic.  Dadi Nirmal Shanta played the role of being a car mechanic and so there is a photograph I have seen of her lying under the motor car that they had and she was smiling. Of course, everything was done out of love, it was not considered labour, it was just an experience of love. Those 14 years, Baba asked them, how did it pass?  Did it pass like a struggle, an effort or was it a joy, a pleasure and, if you were to have the opportunity would you want to have those 14 years again in the same way of being able to do those different tasks that you had never ever done in your life before? Dadi Ratan Mohini told a story of how they were building roads. When they first came to Mt Abu, they were in Brij Koti and there was no proper road, there were no lights there.  Somebody came along, taught them how to build roads, how to put up electricity poles, and that was what they would do. And so they learnt many different skills that they would never ever have imagined possible. Yet today Baba says sometimes people say why did I surrender, did I surrender just to do menial housework, am I not supposed to be a teacher, I gave up everything, I have renounced the world, I have sacrificed everything, but I came to be a teacher, I did not come for all of these things. Baba says whether you are doing something very simple, or whether you are speaking to a thousand people, do it with pleasure, do it with the same pleasure.  Maybe for some, speaking in front of one is more of an ordeal than doing physical work, but let me learn to speak in front of not just one, but a hundred, a thousand, with the same pleasure. Am I able to experience the pleasure of Sangamyug at all times in this way?  There were two words Baba was playing with – mauj (pleasure) and moonj (confusion) – you can see how close these two words are (Avyakt BapDada very often finds rhyming words). And so at that stage where something has happened and I am not tolerant, then many many waste thoughts and a lot of confusion result – it shouldn’t be like this, why is it like this, it should be like this, why isn’t anybody listening to me, why can’t they agree with me? It is like you have got a ball of wool, or you are doing some embroidery (maybe today’s generation has never knitted nor done any embroidery, but I remember doing both at different times) and when the thread or the wool gets tangled up, it can cost you hours and hours of trying to untangle the thread or the wool. It is a real pain and so you have to be really careful that you don’t let the thread get tangled. And so the same thing can be going on in your mind – are the threads already tangled, crossed and confused? Confusion in your mind, attitude and vision can result. And what’s going to be happening with your actions, and the world around you?  One person can cause confusion for many people, not just for themselves, but for the world around them. Stay in pleasure without any confusion, then everything is clear. Baba has been very clear about everything. And whether I have facilities or I do not have facilities, like the period of the tapasya that the Dadis went through, the soul is lost in God’s love and so there is pleasure.  So my happiness, my pleasure, doesn’t depend on the external situation but rather on my inner state of being and the experience of God’s love. Baba spoke about that inner fullness and state in which I am complete. No one is complete, I am on that journey and am content. There is no discontent.  The final stage of satisfaction will come through effort, but at the moment have no confusion, let everything be clear and usually Baba will provide and everything will become available. So even if there are difficult situations I will be able to see a clear path through them and move forward. And the other way, if I am already confused and discontent inside, even though everything is clear, and even though I may have all the facilities around me, but I am not able to enjoy those facilities, I am not able to see the straight clear path ahead because of my confusion. I will muddle along and there will be more confusion.  It is just going to get worse and worse. So Baba is saying sort it out, sit quietly and go deep inside and use gyan and yoga and let there then be clarity and that will bring pleasure and joy. If you allow that confusion to grow and grow and grow, then the tangled web, the tangled thread will just get bigger, bigger and bigger. And so that’s what I need to do.

Baba spoke about how one aspect of tolerance is the situation where others are defaming you, or becoming your enemy, the second aspect is the situation where circumstances are really challenging, and how do I deal with them with tolerance. And the third aspect is probably the most difficult one that Brahma Baba has had to face, and sometimes we face it. We have sustained someone for so long, genuinely, altruistically, just out of love for Baba and for that soul, so nothing else intended, but then they turn around and they become a traitor. Baba used very strong language, and in Baba’s days, if someone was just content and left the Yagya, then people were waiting to hear stories about that, and so news stories would spread around the whole community. And so this is why not just for 14 years, but even afterwards, there were challenges hearing the name of Brahma Baba, Om Mandali, or the Brahma Kumaris. So the third aspect of tolerance was for the traitors.  How did Baba deal with that?  Again, whatever they were discontented about, with a lot of love and good wishes, Baba would try and help them. And if it was something that they had failed in that was causing them discontent, Baba’s love and big heart would give them the courage to enable them, with his love and absolute tolerance, to move forward so they didn’t get stuck.  Some of these souls would come in, say defaming words the first day, the next day they would come in to say “Baba truly is Baba, the only one who would allow me to move forward in this way”. Or even some of those who left might complain about other people, but generally they wouldn’t complain about Baba or Mama. They would say Baba and Mama’s sustenance was incredible. I have met some of those people, in Bombay in particular, but they were really just full of love for Baba and Mama, because Baba had continually showed kindness and mercy towards them, not allowing anything to come into his mind, even for traitors, and even when they came back. Baba went to Bombay and Delhi often, and so some of those souls would come back to meet Baba and Baba would give them no feeling of ‘why did you leave, what happened?  Baba would simply, again, just give them love, and say “Child, welcome, it’s your home, keep studying, keep moving forward”, not a trace in the mind or heart of the soul of Baba of the things that happened in the past. Baba has demonstrated how to deal with all sorts of levels in which I might lose my tolerance capacity, and so Avyakt BapDada is reminding me - these are the things that were possible for this human being, why don’t you follow in his footsteps and develop the same, and so you too can become that angel that Baba became.  So tolerance isn’t gritting your teeth with a frown on your forehead. Tolerance is so light, so happy, so full of goodness, virtues for others, good wishes for others, that you are able to rise above it and the mountain is reduced to just a ball, or not even a ball, just a ball of light, so that you are not carrying any weight at all. Hence, the reminder of Hanuman, the one who carried the mountain on the palm of his hand. Tolerance to this extent is real tolerance. I can’t complain about what it is that I have to go through as Baba went through all of this and much more. What I can do is learn to be able to create that higher consciousness within myself, increase my inner capacity. Somebody said that Raja Yoga is the way to increase capacity, that is, capacity building. It was a non-Brahmin who used this expression first, and I thought it was a very nice expression - building capacity for ourselves and teaching others how to increase their capacity also.

When we tolerate, we are not doing someone else a favour, right?  Sometimes we think we are doing somebody else a favour.  Today Baba made it very clear that it is really for your peace, happiness and sanity, and that’s why we tolerate.  What about you Jayanti? I know you have to tolerate a lot. You are our Brahma Baba at the moment. We are seeing you in action also constantly smiling which is wonderful, but something from your personal perspective on tolerance, why do you tolerate?

It is something that I have seen Dadi do and if you listen to her classes (thousands of her classes are available still), she used to pick up on tolerance in a big way. For her, tolerance was a very important quality to develop. Sometimes I have had to tolerate when people have spoken badly about me, and I just have to remember that I am who I am and Baba knows me, and if this person doesn’t know me it is ok, and also if they are badmouthing me and telling others, well others can see for themselves and judge for themselves who I am and what I am. It is important not to be bothered by this and keep smiling and keep carrying on.  I just know that if I have waste thoughts about other people because they are not the way I would like them to be, I remind myself - can I see their speciality? Through the month of June, we were hearing many of Mama’s qualities and one of these was speciality, being able to see specialities. Avyakt BapDada has also spoken about this, but especially through the month of June, I was thinking can I see their speciality in the ones who are not doing things quite as they should be. And so you develop the skill - if you have the aim to develop a special quality, it is possible. We don’t start off as angels, we started off as shudras on the path, and gradually we learn and learn.  Baba’s murli last week on being able to see virtues and being able to absorb virtues with my intellect, reminded me that tolerance is not difficult, but is something that is shifting inside of me, and when I make that shift, then there is happiness, there is no sense of a burden of being tolerant. So, what all this is doing for me is carrying me further in my journey - I am learning, I am growing, I am stretching, I am moving forward.

What about the obstacles in the Yagya? What do you do to face those? What do you say to yourself?

When we had the problem of plumbing, then it was a big obstacle in service. Then I just had to think about it and say it is fine, it is going to be fixed, that it is also a time for a break for everyone who has been serving so hard in Oxford.  I thought maybe it would take a couple of years but it has taken a bit longer than that. It is true that not just the pipes needed renewing, but I think everyone’s awareness also needed to be renewed because people were quite exhausted after most of them had been there for the whole period of 25 years. Some came just a touch later, but it was over 15 years that everyone had been there. If you see it with purpose, what is the purpose behind it, like Baba says go into the depth of it - yes it is time for a break, it is time for everyone to contribute and create their fortune, so both of those things have happened, we are now coming to the end of that journey. Yes regularly we keep being put off getting the date that we get handed the keys, because they test one block when it is ready, and there is something to be sorted out with the electrics, and something else happens somewhere else… When you hear about it, it sounds funny, but at that moment, it wasn’t very funny. They were putting up big ducts, canopies, hoods for the kitchen because there were many things going on and so we need big ones, double the size they were before because of safety standards having progressed, so the ceiling fell. Can you imagine?  And so we have to sort out the whole ceiling, those who were doing Baba’s work also had to be very detached and not sort of grit their teeth and say why has this happened again.  No, it has happened, it is ok, we will deal with it, Baba will help us.  So really I have to say that the instruments who have been dealing with it on the ground have kept that attitude all the time that it is Baba’s work, it is going to be fine. Everyone who comes will definitely have a very, very powerful experience. That was a big one, a real big one, but every day there are little things that happened and if you laugh at it, smile at it, it is ok; if you get upset by it, you fail, because then you have to sort yourself out, or you have to take help from somebody to help you sort yourself out. And that is time and energy that I have lost but I have also pulled it from another.

Do you want to give us a little update about Oxford?

We are hoping that we are going to be ready to move in in a few months’ time because all the inside work has still to be completed in terms of interior decoration and stuff. The main work that you will never see, hopefully, are the pipes that have been put in, the electrics that have been changed, but now it is the turn of the interior design and furnishings and so that is going to take a few months.

We hope by November we will be able to welcome Brahmins to come and have some silence retreats and experience the power of yoga which Baba has been talking to us about for quite a while, especially since the Pandemic started. The focus has always been yoga, but many of us have still been active, whether with Zoom or whatever, so towards November I think we will be able to maybe invite people in, but if that date changes to December, don’t be surprised because things keep happening. But for the public, we will be thinking of retreats probably sometime in May, starting at that time. So it is still a bit of a journey, but it is a settling journey, not the hard work that it was before. And one other thing is that Manda Bhen wanted really to change her role, to have time for herself and yoga and so on, exploring her inner world, and so she is going to be around, but it is going to be a team that is now working collaboratively to do the main things that happen in Oxford, but of course with a bigger team of residents with them. So everything is new, a new chapter, but with Baba as our canopy of protection all will go in a way that Baba wants.

Someone who is afraid is never able to go into the depths, one with essence remains constantly full.  This is why there is depth in something. What is the connection between being full and not being afraid?

When I am afraid, it is creating a huge amount of rattle, or waste thoughts in my head.  All sorts of questions arise: what if, what if, what if. I will share a little practical story. There was an interview that Liz Hodgkinson had done with me many years ago and the whole thing was about anxiety and fear, and of course, anxiety leads to fear. She shared some research done by a newspaper in the 80s but the situation and how we interpreted it still stays the same. The newspaper people had asked people when they had fear or something happening, or they were very anxious about something happening, how often was it that fear was actually realised, e.g. you were not feeling too well and you thought it may be cancer, or you thought that something bad had happened to your child because the child wasn’t coming home at the right time – this was before the time of mobile phones, now you just phone them, where are you, what’s going on. The percentage was 80 times out of a 100, that the things they were fearful of never happened and so it was a waste of time, waste of energy, waste of power really. Twenty percent of the time the things they were afraid of did materialise but they wasted so much energy in just thinking, thinking, thinking that they didn’t have the capacity to deal with that situation in the best way possible. What Baba is saying is that if there is gyan, if there is yoga, if there is faith, if I am filled with God’s love with God’s power, with faith in God, faith in Sangamyug, faith in the drama, then I go into the depth of that and I am able to stay very full, silent and content. And I am able to find the solution to whatever it is that is going on.  My fear creates so much confusion that all these negative thoughts and waste thoughts are really pulling me down. And even the little energy, the little strength that I had at that moment, is actually being depleted by my own thoughts, not by the situation, but by my own thoughts. So when I come to that stage where I am afraid, it is because I don’t have faith, I don’t have understanding, I am not able to go into the depth of gyan because other things have taken over my consciousness. But let me not allow that to happen, let me be able to go into the depth of gyan and yoga and stay full and content and be able to be silent to take power from Baba to deal with whatever may come. So between the empty mind rattling, or the empty vessel rattling, and a lot of stuff going on, I speak about it and create confusion for others also. So fear, anxiety and confusion, all of them go together.

When one does service, like washing the dishes or repairing the car, and they have a bunch of waste thoughts, is that still service?

Not really, because my time and energy has gone in the wrong direction. If I am appreciative of the service opportunity that I have been given and I see it in that way as an opportunity, then my thoughts are filled with love and joy and I am receiving power as a result of that service. That service, whatever it is that I am doing, is probably going to turn out to be excellent. But if I am having waste thoughts of what I am doing, then certainly the energy loss at that moment is huge and it is visible on my face and I am turning moody and getting upset. Even the happiness that I had before I am losing. So yes, I have done something, but I haven’t earnt anything from it, I haven’t accumulated fortune. It’s so very important to do service with the right consciousness and see every opportunity of service as fortune because I am doing it for Baba, I am not doing it for a human being. This is the thing that we look at when someone is doing something else, we compare and so that comparison means that I lose my self-esteem – why aren’t I doing that, am I not good enough? It might be jealousy that is biting away inside and making me lose all my goodness and is leading to a state of weakness and degradation inside. So Baba is saying, everything that you do for Baba with love is an opportunity to experience God’s love and to feel the return of happiness from God for that. So whatever comes your way, just simply enjoy it and you won’t feel it is labour of any type.  Nowadays, lots of people when they are washing dishes have got buds in their ears, and they have got their phone or iPod with them. It is really an opportunity to hear Baba’s songs, to hear Baba’s versions, and the time will go by like this.  You can do automatic work like washing dishes with a different consciousness, a higher consciousness and know that you are doing it for Baba.  Your heart is with Baba and your hands are working away.

I feel that I have to explain myself because I have been so misunderstood. But Baba didn’t have to explain himself as such. So how to move from expansion to essence calmly, silently, simply.

It is my own misunderstanding that is telling me that no one understands me, maybe they do understand me, and maybe what they are saying is coming from a different perspective to mine. Maybe I haven’t understood them. Let me just explore that and see what could be the case. Instead of trying to explain and getting myself more jumbled and confused and more tangled in my own web, the web that I have created, let me just stay silent and see if I can see things from their perspective rather than thinking I have been misunderstood, maybe I have misunderstood something. That is a very important perspective to have, but also something that I mentioned earlier: who I am, what I am, is going to be seen through my face and activity. I don’t need to prove anything. That which is true is visible as a proof of truth, I don’t need to prove it. If I am stubborn and I insist that I have to prove myself, you have to understand what it is that I am going through. But that is just my stubbornness. So I don’t need to prove anything. What is true will be revealed in its own time. It is a very important lesson to learn and certainly if there has been some type of misunderstanding, the more you try to prove it, the more the other people will see it as you being stubborn, so let it lie, it is ok. Maybe I will try once, if it is not working, I have to put a full stop to it. When I learn to put a full stop to it, as time goes on, whatever was a misunderstanding is going to become clear. Sometimes they say are you conveying, or are you convincing?

On the topic of expansion, how to make the emails simple. How would you like us to write to you Jayanti Bhen – how many words, how many lines?

Baba gave Dadi a very lovely message many years ago. When Dadi used to stay up till 11pm at night, we used to print out emails for her and she would diligently read all the emails, not just hearing the translation or a summary but reading it all. And Dadi Gulzar had seen this quite often, because they shared their cottage. She must have told Baba because Dadi didn’t say anything to Baba, so Dadi Gulzar must have told Baba. So Baba spoke about it in the murli. Baba said, on behalf of Dadi, I am telling all of Baba’s children, all the double foreigners especially, just send Dadi a note of ‘I am OK’, that is the best note to send to Dadi. It doesn’t take three sentences, it doesn’t take three pages, just one sentence. That’s the best news.  I understand sometimes it is not possible to say all is fine, all is ok, but yes send a summary. News can be essence, but also if there is a question, sometimes the question is lost in all the detail, so whatever it is, tell me what the question is - what is your question and whatever background you think is needed, that is fine.

Some people are feeling that some of Baba’s centres and premises are not being used at the moment. Should they be closed down because there is so much rent and people are not able to come because of lockdown. What is your view on this?

I feel very sad, and this is not an emotional sadness, but it is a feeling of loss that where there is a centre and we close it down, it is a loss for the community, not just the people who are coming, but for the people who knew us, who are our friends, contacts, neighbours. Because even though they are not coming, they know that it is a place of peace, a place if they ever went, they could find some solace, and of course the community of Brahmins that are coming. I know that even though it is lockdown and people sometimes say that it is fine, they are sitting comfortably at home and being sustained to a great extent, but I know that there is a big difference in walking into Baba’s home and feeling that safety and protection and a situation where I am just alone at home and even with my family at home. But being in that atmosphere is very special. It is a pilgrimage place, every centre is a Yagya; so just wait, because I think we are now at that point where in different ways whether it is through vaccination or herd immunity, whatever it is, things have actually become a little calmer than they were before. So you have been hanging on in there for 18 months by now, so give it a couple more months to see if the country opens up and people can start coming. I think many countries might be opening up because there is a recognition of something that is very important, about how there has been mental issues created through lockdown. I think many health ministers are now balancing the whole subject of virus vs lockdown, not only because of the state of the economy but also because of mental health issues. Baba’s home is a place of refuge for people to come and find shelter and peace and absolute space where they can be safe and secure. I am not talking about coming for physical shelter but really a place of peace, that they can experience God’s presence. My suggestion is to hang on in there for a little while longer and see how things evolve. You will probably see that many, many people have been waiting to come back to the centre. Many who have taken their courses through Zoom will be finding their way to a centre. They probably have not had the experience of the Dadis nor Madhuban, nor personal Avyakt BapDada in the presence of Baba, so at least we can offer them is a centre where they can come and who knows maybe your halls, your classrooms will be fuller than they ever were before. So hang on a little while and see what the drama brings.

Only Baba, the 8, 108 and the 16108 make it. How can I overcome disheartenment and still keep smiling and not be fed by this old sanskar of disheartenment?

A very interesting thought about Satyug is that everyone in Satyug is going to be happy. So even if, and I don’t know what the final results are yet, there is still a long way to go, in terms of my own effort, I know that with Baba’s help I can do more than what I have done so far. All the tips that we have been getting in the avyakt Murlis are quite incredible. Every murli is powerful and helpful, but especially in these recent Murlis, Baba has been telling us how to move forward. Ok you have been doing this, you have been doing that, now take a step forward. Now today again, you have been taking the long route round, so instead of using your time and energy in taking that long route, can you find the essence, the shortcut. After your time with Baba, you know what is the long route and what is the shortcut. Practise going down the short cut and you will be able to save your time and energy and you won’t feel disheartened. Otherwise, the loss of time and energy causes that disheartenment. So know that this period of time Baba is still giving us a lot of help, a lot of support, a lot of mercy, a lot of forgiveness to help us move forward. So take advantage of the time that we have left.

How do you tolerate jealousy when you know that a Brahmin is turning other Brahmins against you because of jealousy?

The lesson I learned from Dadi about this is if I have a little bit of ego about my role, my position, my specialities, my service, it will cause jealousy to flare up in others. Where I have dealt with it with deep deep soul consciousness and humility, then people would appreciate but not be jealous. Mama is an example. She was one out of a whole group, but she moved forward, she moved ahead, and nobody was jealous of Mama but everyone appreciated what she was able to achieve in her life. There was no competition with Mama. How did Mama achieve that - absolute humility and also constant sustenance of others. Think: How can I give my time and energy to others so that then I win their hearts and there is no jealousy.

Which are the areas in which you don’t have to tolerate?

The fine line between tolerance and facing up to something is if my principles are being challenged.  If I am being challenged in terms of my principles, let me be a shakti, let me face it and do what I need to do so I don’t have to tolerate it at that moment. But in the situations that Baba spoke about, practise tolerance and a big smile, so the other person doesn’t even feel that you are tolerating. We sometimes see tolerance as putting up with something. Baba was not putting up with something, Baba was creating that awareness of helping the other. Baba was changing the big mountain into something very light, so change of perception is what tolerance is about.

Om Shanti

Sister Jayanti – 30th August, 2021 – GCH, London Is my buddhi agile so that I can relate to Baba in the way Baba is presenting Himself in all the different relationships, according to the time?

4th September 2021

Good morning. Om Shanti.

Greetings for the second day of celebrations for Janmasthami, the commemoration of Sri Krishna’s birth…Krishna was supposed to be born at midnight so both days celebrations. Today the celebration of how Krishna breaks the earthenware pot in which was the butter and the cream.  This is commemorated in India by young boys making a human pyramid and then jumping and breaking the pot!  Bhakti, as Dadi would say, is wonderful!

I think we all understand why Baba has said that there are three types of love.  Firstly, from the heart: spontaneous, deep, profound and connected with Baba in all relationships.  The second one according to convenience and desires ‘wants’.  There is a motive for the self and family…for convenience and comfort and it is love to fulfil my selfish needs.  The third is out of being desperate and out of compulsion at a particular time.   I am in deep sorrow.  I haven’t used gyan and I desperately call Baba to help me.  He will help but this is very different to the natural connection and state of constant love, that is sweet, holding within it always the possibility of receiving whatever the need, Baba knows, my mother knows.  We can then be constantly loving, cooperative and  powerful.  Baba said he would take up the second two aspects  later and we wait to hear what Baba has to tell us.

We have all had the experience whereby sometimes the love is emerged and other times not so emerged.  Then a situation pushes us and it emerges again.  We have also had the experience whereby, due to Brahmin sanskars,we are cooperating but sanskars are get in the way, and we distant ourselves and say I would rather not.    Constant cooperation means going beyond those sanskars.  The third point is to be always powerful.  Am I  always powerful or are there fluctuations.  If there have been, I think that this is still the time when Baba is teaching and giving us and the margin of time to make up whatever it is to achieve what I haven’t before.  Whatever has happened never mind, but  be constantly cooperative and powerful now.  It is time for a full stop to the past and do what I need to do.  This margin, is different to the thought we sometimes have that we wish Satyug would come quickly.  If the line has been broken in any of these aspects now is the time to have the consistency to make this up.

Seeing what is going on in the world, it is not just the bhagats crying out to God, but people out there in the world now in many situations are desperate for God’s help. Baba and Drama have to balance both of these things.  The time is needed by Brahmins and yet maybe time does finish before we are ready.  The eight are definitely ready and the 108 are probably ready. Baba wishes to fulfil the desire of Brahmins as well as being needed to fulfil the desires of all people.  Drama finds a balance between these somehow.

There is then the subject of time and how my relationship with Baba needs to be appropriate according to the time.  I can say Baba is my loving Mother and Father, yet when I am sitting in class it is not the time to have a sweet relationship of friend with Baba.  Here is Baba teaching me, and I’m wanting a sweet chitchat and so I miss out on whatever it is Baba wants to give me now from the Murli.  Another aspect of this.  Sometimes when Murli is going on, some say they would rather sit for meditation in Baba’s room.  They want to be with the Mother and Father, but the Mother and Father are saying it is time to go to school!  There are many aspects like this throughout the day.  So yes there is a time to be with my Friend, but also a time for me to be with The Satguru, the One giving me srimat and reminding me of the quality of karma I need to be engaged in so I am truly doing karma and yoga together.  If I am playing with my friend, I could miss out on the attention I need to give to karma.  If I am remembering srimat and then engaged in karma, I am more likely to be able to manage both of these relationships together….karma and yoga. Often it is not what I am doing but the time that I am doing it.  Am I recognising just the 24 hour clock, and doing according to that? Baba reminds us of the bigger picture of time and that now it is Sangamyug.  There are lots of fun, games and rest ahead in Satyug and through The Cycle.   According to time, there was a period  to do bhakti, go on pilgrimages and all of that.  But Sangamyug is very different.  This is the only opportunity for me to experience a relationship with God.  The more I am aware of the value of this time of Sangamyug the more I will see what I need to do.  With all relationships with Baba,  at any given time we will see where the buddhi needs to be.  With the Teacher or through the gaze and vision of the Satguru, we are able to fly beyond to the place of peace.  The mission of the Satguru is not just to teach me srimat but also to take me beyond with a glance to experience that world of silence.  Baba says all attainments come from all relationships with One.

Is my buddhi agile so that I can relate to Baba in the way Baba is presenting himself.  If I do this then I will benefit, but if I have an expectation of something else, I will lose out.  So here is the teacher, am I benefitting or do I want to chat to my friend and then I would lose out.  When we recognise the time, then my intellect will easily recognise the role that He is playing now and take  benefit from that. Through the day am I very aware of this precious container of the buddhi and do I clean out all the negative thoughts that could create poison for the self, and affect my relationship with Baba.  Whatever the situation and whatever someone has done, it doesn’t matter.  My priority is my relationship with Baba.  When we are in connection with others we often ask what is the priority…my relationship or the task?  We understand if we get stuck in the task, then the relationships suffer.  We now realise that the task will happen anyway and relationship with my family is what matters most.  On a spiritual level my priority is the relationship of pure love, without selfish motive or desires coming in and that being the most important aspect.  Baba also feels the attention that I am giving and He gives a response to that, so I need to keep a clean and pure intellect.

Waste thoughts - when we are not feeling bad about others - yet there is a subtle complaint about drama, thinking it could have happened differently.  Baba says Drama is ‘my child’, and our friend and not to have waste thoughts about what is going on.  Can I put a full stop to these?  By saying that Drama is benevolent and having the attitude that Drama is my friend and my mother, and will not let me down.  It will cooperate with me because I am now ready to give my cooperation to drama.  Then the relationship is sweet and the waste ends.  What about ordinary thoughts…..spinning about this and that. I don’t need to think what is going to happen.  Responsibility and accountability is different and I have to be accurate.  Baba said that if we are accurate in terms of relationship with Baba and srimat, then nothing will go wrong.  If srimat is accurate and my attention to the task is accurate, Baba has said what will take 4 hours will take one hour!  This is especially true when accurate on srimat and the task, due to honesty in the soul, it will work out fine and Baba will find a way to help you move forward, as there is faith in drama and God. Then ordinary thoughts are minimised. I am focused, I do it, and then there is a full stop.    Then there is the possibility of the buddhi being clean and pure.  Then the buddhi can be agile.  If it is heavy, filled with waste, it is not able to move so quickly or connect in the way that Baba is offering at that moment.

Baba spoke of  other aspects regarding the intellect:  unlimited, subtle and broad.  Then the ‘divine’ intellect, which does not see things as they are now, but from the point of spirituality.  It is spirituality that creates the divinity.  Without this we are human and we have forgotten the being as we got into doing.  The divine intellect is always able to see things from a level of spirituality, so the divine intellect cannot see anything bad or less than the highest.  If we have had Drishti from Baba or the Dadis, what they were doing is seeing the individual on the highest level.  We would want to have those moments of glimpses as it reminded us of our highest state.  Are we able to do this for others!  So that we see their highest state and no less.  The unlimited intellect sees the big picture, not just focusing on now, but remembering past, present and future.  This is what Baba would do.  He would respond to a soul, seeing their eternal role.  If the intellect gets blocked by anything, then limitation comes in.  This block is usually ego.  ‘I want’, not externally, but ‘respect’.  Yet the soul hasn’t recognised that respect has to be earned.  I don’t need to fight for or demand it.  This is going to come automatically when others feel the quality and character of the individual.  The limited ‘wants’ of respect, control or power all create blocks.  Then I cannot have the unlimited intellect in which I can be close to God.  This is all in the context of the loving relationship.  Can I go beyond all the blocks that ego brings and pulls me back into the limited? Then Baba talks about the ‘broad’ intellect.  It is Sangamyug and can I take advantage of all the opportunities that this time offers in an unlimited way, not just thinking in a narrow way, at this moment.

It was interesting to hear Baba talk about the intellect in all these three things.  Baba also asked is my love unbreakable and unshakeable, immoveable?  He also spoke about ‘eternal and imperishable’ in the context of love.  Is it imperishable, or does something happen to spoil this state of love, especially with the Brahmin family, as that will interfere with my love for God also.  We need to keep imperishable love for all others around us, and only then can we experience it with Baba. And love as immoveable and unshakeable?  We think our love is strong and that nothing can shake us…but then something happens and we get shaken and we question the self and ask ‘how strong is my love for God anyway’.   Is my love for God strong enough to help me jump over that obstacle?  The problem with Maya is she is very sneaky and she knows what is my weak spot.  Maya will find a way to enter through that weakness.  I don’t realise it at the time.  Things happen and my love for Baba shakes, and it is due to this interference.  We need to see what is the weak spot that gets hit each time.  It is a recurring pattern and it will keep happening again and again, until I recognise what my weakness is.  Then I will be able to deal with it maybe.  Taking Baba’s love and power helps me be immoveable and unshakeable in this love.

Many things to reflect on from yesterday’s Murli.  Your own reflections will be even deeper and subtle, as you know what it is you are going through.  Really go deep into what Baba is telling us.  Baba doesn’t waste His words and if He repeats it, it is because there is a need to.  Baba is wanting that attention from the child.  Many times in the Sakar Murli, and again today, Baba says ‘keep attention on study’.  This means that every word Baba says is significant and can I keep focus so well that I can take the power that Baba is wanting to give us through the study.  Baba says that just simply through the study, we claim a kingdom!  We are studying in an incognito way.  People know we meditate…and they see us coming and going in white….but do they know we are studying to claim a kingdom…that is extraordinary.  Our study means attention on what Baba means and then application in life.  It has both these elements.

Now we have powerful collective yoga and then toli. before Murli

Madhuban Newsletter & Homework Points – September 2021: Be full of good wishes and pure feelings and spread the rays of love and co-operation everywhere. Be a world benefactor and give pure inspirations

2nd September 2021

Most beloved Avyakt BapDada’s deeply loving instrument teachers, brothers and sisters who are the decoration of the Brahmin clan, those who with your powerful stage of remembrance become images that grant visions and spread the rays of light and might, please accept sweet, love-filled remembrance.

At present, all of Baba’s children everywhere are doing very good gyan and yoga tapasya and with powerful remembrance full of light and might, are doing the service of spreading the vibrations of peace and power in the world. Along with that, on the pure festivals of Raksha Bandhan and Janamasthmi, very good service took place everywhere. Many, many congratulations to everyone for having this balance of remembrance and service.

At the moment, very beautiful yoga tapasya programmes are taking place in all the complexes of Madhuban. Along with the yoga bhatthi of surrendered teachers’ and brothers in Shantivan, small groups are having yoga bhatthis in Mansarovar, Gyan Sarovar and Pandav Bhawan. It feels as though Baba has made the unlimited home of Madhuban a light-and might house for the whole world. According to the time, in order to make His children complete and perfect, Baba is again and again giving us the signal: Children, now become the unlimited master creators and experience yourselves to be standing at the top of the kalpa tree with the Father. Become a master seed and spread the rays of powers, virtues, good wishes and pure feelings, love and co- operation. Just as the sun remains high and is able to spread its rays all over the world, in the same way, be a master creator or a master sun of knowledge and give sakaash to the whole world.

Tell me, all of you are doing this service, are you not? According to the time, this is also a changing form of service. This power of yoga will make all Baba's service places a place of peace, to which everyone will be attracted and come close and claim their Godly birthright. Now is the time to be an image that grants visions and give visions to all, and for this all of Baba’s children have to adopt an attitude of unlimited disinterest and stay beyond. Do service with the balance of being loving and detached and only then the task of world transformation be completed through self-transformation.

Baba says: Children, now, in order to become complete, the same as the Father, practise being bodiless, the same as the Father, while being in the body. While you are in this body and playing your part with your physical senses, at that time take support of the organs to perform actions - and then become detached. Throughout the day, whenever you have time, every now and then, take out a few seconds from your activities and practise being bodiless and you will receive a lot of help, because everything will happen suddenly in the final scenes. In that paper of suddenly, this practice of being bodiless will enable you to pass. So, each one has to pay attention and definitely practise this. All of you must be safe, well and healthy under Baba’s canopy of protection.

Lots of love and remembrance to all.

In Godly remembrance,

BK Ratan Mohini

Sudesh Didi. GCH, London 22.08.2021 Sunday Morning Class on the Day of Raksha Bandhan

1 September 2021

Om shanti.

Good morning. Beautiful morning. Special day, special greetings. Greetings of Raksha Bandhan. Who is tying rakhi? And to whom?    Are we tying rakhi? Sisters tying rakhi to brothers, and brothers give the promise of protection. Is it we who are tying Baba with great love, with the refined pure thread of love and faith? We are tying the One who is ever-free and never comes in any bondage or tied down by anyone, even though He says, “I am tied by two things, two powers:  the power of drama and the power of love of the children. It is the love of the children that brings Me down there. Why should I leave my Incorporeal World of perfect silence, of perfect peace, of perfect purity, where there is no trace of any influence of any other elements. I live in Brahmand.  I am Sat, Chit, Anand Swaroop, Ever-truth, Ever-blissful. Here, I come into the world where there is total corruption; I come into a degraded world, an impure world of violence, and leave my World of Silence. What for? For the sake of My children; to liberate them.”

God is proud of us. He has not come because of mercy. No. It is love. On the path of devotion, He is merciful for the devotees. And He is love-ful to His children. The devotion of love is for the children. Now the question arises, what is difference between love and mercy? Mercy is also because of love. You have mercy on someone because there is love. There is a very clear difference between mercy and love. Mercy is, of course, a form of support, cooperation, help and upliftment. Mercy is given when someone is very sick, “Poor soul, they have to go through so much suffering.” When a wealthy person becomes bankrupted, someone with the virtue of compassion, has the feeling of sympathy and give mercy. So sympathy, compassion and mercy. This is for at the time of need. You recognise they had something and have lost it, therefore, you have mercy for them. For the children, the parents do not need to have mercy. When a child is born, do you need to have mercy on the child?  You have love for the child. Love is an expression, the dedication and the vision of a very elevated stage. Mercy is helping at the time of total helplessness.

God comes. When we were devotees, He had mercy on us. But as soon as we take the new birth, it is not a question of mercy. He says openly, “I don't have mercy. Don't ask for mercy.” He tells us, “You should have mercy on yourselves, and not ask for mercy from Me because it is a very limited energy compared to love.” Love is support in advance. Mercy is after you have lost and have become helpless. Love is the preparation or support of every type. Baba is the Ocean of Love.

Today is about the relationship of love of the children and the parent, the relationship of friendship, that is, ‘Khuda Dost’ (God the Friend). I have seen many youngsters, especially, who tie a friendship bracelet. One sister was making the bracelet, braiding it with so much love, like it is a rakhi. Khuda Dost is our Friend, unique Brother, unique Mother and unique Father, unlimited in every aspect. It is said ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed.’ But God is not only our Friend in need. He is a Friend who makes me aware what I truly need. I did not even know what I wanted. But I was looking for what I was capable for. He has made me worthy. He gives me the opportunity to see how sensible I have become. He opens my heart and shares my feelings, my emotions, my hurts, my failure and my insecurity. With my True Friend, I can share and I have trust. He will keep what I share in His heart.

In Iron Age, people are deceived many times because most friendships, instead of spiritual strength, are based on the limited: limited achievement, dependency and other physical and emotional needs. So ‘a Friend indeed’ is who really makes me aware what it is useful for me, what brings satisfaction in me, what brings perfection in me. Baba sees that I am worthy of that. This is why He comes at the right time to protect us and support us, but at the same time, makes us aware of the consciousness I should have. As a friend, He gives many opportunities.

God is proud of us. We are proud of having the Company of such a Friend, such a Brother and such a Parent. The experience of this unique bond is not a question of comparing what we have not found in lokik relationships. Some experienced souls in the world, have been through unpleasant experience in relationships, according to karma philosophy, due to karmic accounts. The nature of personality of the parents, or brothers and sisters or friends or circumstances and situations became such that relationship became unpleasant or deceitful. When developing the relationships with Baba, they create doubt. It is not a question of comparing what we have not found in our lokik parents or lokik friends or lokik world. This is no comparison as His name is unique. Baba is bodiless and yet He gives the experience of being the Embodiment of Love. He is invisible and yet becomes visible to give us such lovely sustenance, healing us from the past, empowering us now in present, and creating my fortune for the future.

Baba is the Knower of the three aspects of time of my fortune. Generally, a fortune teller reads the lines on our hands to tell my fortune. Now they have also invented machine with the technology of displaying the aura of the physical body. But the Supreme Soul, the Fortune Maker, reads what is behind the skin, and tells us how fortunate we are. In fact, Baba is proud of His relationship with us and reminds us of our relationship. This is why we experience with Him the relationships of protection, of support, of creating self-respect in us. He makes us aware of the greatness of my fortune, the very moment I believe in myself as a child of God. This experience is so deep that, not only do we enjoy this fortune, but the blessings we receive from God.

Our Fortune Maker is also the Bestower of blessings who gives us the method to create our fortune. It is not just the karma philosophy of action; it is the karma philosophy of the mind, that is, the action of the mind. This implies our thoughts. Why is it called ‘for…tune’? With a positive, pure, powerful and clean mind, the kind of thoughts created are tuned into the stage of Manmanabhav, that is, the mind is connected with Baba. When we are tuned into this energy, how elevated will thoughts and feelings be? The energy that is emerging in the heart of the soul is the feeling of the mind. The purest energy emerges through this connection with the Ever-pure. This flow of energy enables the mind of the soul to become clean. It enables a clear intellect to experience both catching power and touching power, and automatically, there is faith in the intellect in discerning what is right. I am able to discern accurately before making a decision.  I will be protected from self-deception and from any repentance afterwards. My righteous actions bring the fruit of success, not just for present time, but the fruit also creates the seed for the future. During rakhi ceremony, a fruit is received as a sign of the fruit of our actions. It is the fruit of fortune, FOR TUNE, tune before, to be connected with and to be touched by refined thoughts, elevated and pure thoughts. The intellect has faith in Shrimat, and this is kismat, in Hindi it means fortune.

Kismat depends on which direction you are taking when performing actions. Are you performing actions with worldly desires or are performing actions under compulsion, or are you performing actions due to sensual pleasure? Are you following the dictates of your mind, are you are following the dictates of human beings? If we are just fulfilling the desires or emotions of other people whilst performing actions, what will be the consequence? Baba has gifted us with a clear intellect to perform actions. Shrimat means Godly elevated directions. “Be Manmanabhav, tune your mind with Me. Have the yoga of the intellect with me.”  It is a connection, a bond, a relationship with faith, one of pure selfless love and a clean mind. Then the sanskars of the power of the soul is elevated. Baba says, “I am not only giving you Shrimat, but I am making your intellect divine.”

A time will come when we will catch Baba’s signal naturally without Baba needing to speak. As the intellect becomes very pure and powerful, you will be protected against any attack of Maya. The elements in nature will come to test; even relatives will come as a challenge. For a family unit to work together can also produce a big challenge, Challenges such as jealousy and competition can be themselves big tests. Sometimes within a family, some are not happy to hear the praise of another, and that can make the heart dirty or sad. Baba’s children are not affected by that. You are protected by all these different storms when you are connected with Baba, but this is possible only when you are in tune, “for tune”.  You are fortunate because you are saved beforehand; protected beforehand; warned beforehand; cautious beforehand and you are protected. Here Baba says, “My love is so great. You experience love being so natural, now connect with Me, for always, I am the Company with all virtues and I am your Canopy, your Protector. But you have to stay under the canopy to experience the Companionship and Protection. Do not move away.” It is not that the umbrella is here (on the right) and you stand here (on the left), saying, “Oh, but I am still wet, the rain is still falling on me.” This is something that we did on the path of bhakti, “Baba, you are very powerful. Baba, you are the Almighty. We know that You are my one strength, one support, all my relationships are with You. But You are there, and I am here.” Now Baba says, “First you come here where I am.” This is why in order to create our fortune and enjoy our fortune, count your blessings. See the result of your blessings, experience your blessings and the vibrations will automatically reach out and benefit others without any discrimination.

Flowers do not discriminate where their fragrance goes to; the sun does not discriminate who gets the sunshine. Natural energy is non-discriminatory; it is unlimited while consistently maintains the same quality. Baba is unlimited, His love is unlimited, and how much each soul receives depends on their capacity, their connection and their openness. This wireless connection depends on how clean and viceless we are. Waste thoughts, negative thoughts, thinking about others will affect the quality of connection with Baba. Let my intellect holds the hand of Shrimat. As Baba is holding my hand through Shrimat, the actions performed will be elevated, and the result is the experience of happiness. Each day from morning till evening, continue to count your blessings. This is your fortune. Today is the special day of Raksha Bandhan. Baba is giving me protection as long as I am connected. It is as easy as going online. You do not have to make any effort. All that is required is to keep the line of intellect clear and clean.

Our time-table is the most beautiful aspect of our Brahmin life. From Amrit Vela, we wake up with a lovely sound of the song “Amrit vela sudh pawan hai, mere ladlo jago.” All my sweet children, the atmosphere is clean and pure here, wake up, wake up. Baba is not just waking us up with the song, but with subtle touching. Even in our sleep, if we have loveful thoughts and relationship, He gives us touching at the subconscious level. Have you ever experienced as if someone is there moving your bedsheet or gently touching you? I used to hear the doorbell when we first moved to the House in Tennyson Road. The old owner had just left her body not long before we moved in. I was on my own in that house while Dadi and Jayanti bhen stayed in the house next door. The sister who was with me felt quite afraid and moved next door. I was sleeping alone, feeling strongly that Baba was with me. It was a wonderful experience that God, who is Bholenath (Innocent Lord) and my exorcist, is with me. He also gives liberation to the ghosts. Sometimes at 3:30 in the morning, I would hear the doorbell ring. Dadi and Jayanti bhen had the keys to the door, and would not need to ring the doorbell. The catching was so powerful and natural that even during the day, there was the feeling of inner-joy with the heart singing ‘Wah, Baba Wah’.

We sing our fortune because God is my Companion. All His qualities are received as blessings and powers because I am the child of the Almighty Authority. I don't have to beg or ask. The wisdom and the love He gives is unlimited. As the time-table continues, there are clear experiences. During Murli in the morning, He comes as our Teacher and gives such clear instructions, Throughout the day, He is my Friend. Working with Baba, I never feel I am working alone. He is Karankaranvanhar who is making it happen, so my heart feels light. We feel lightness without any tiredness. Still, we have to keep attention to keeping the door open. Keep your heart open to Baba, and sees virtues in everyone. When performing actions, do not open the door to Maya.

What is the door to Maya? It is ‘I did this. I had this. My idea.” This consciousness of I makes the soul tired. Being egocentric with the wrong authority is a subtle bondage. Baba says, “Do not open the door to Maya. You have opened the door and then say, Baba, Maya has come.” Keep the door open to Baba. Then Baba will take you in His arms and always keep you protected. You will never get tired or feel lazy or make any excuses because you are not the one doing any action. Karankaranvanhar who is your Friend, your Mother, your Father, your Companion, is doing it and you are just an instrument. Then there is lightness.

This month is Dadiji’s month. Dadiji, Didi, Mamma, Baba are the examples in front of us. And many of our Dadas are doing so much work for others, yet remain so light, so easy and so creative. They have so much responsibility, yet always light. We have seen how tireless Dadi Janki was, sometimes doing 16 hours of service without tiredness. With Dadi Prakashmani, I can share one experience: I asked her, “Dadi, there are so many activities in the yagya you have responsibility for. Both foreign countries and Bharat have so many situations and problems with so many centres to take care of. It is certainly a lot of pressure and a lot of work. How do manage to do everything with so much lightness, especially after hearing others relating so many situations and having to give solutions and suggestions to so many. How do you manage to not keep them in your intellect and still go to sleep?” dadiji looked at me and said, “Do I even do anything during the day? Why should I get tired? Karankaranvanhar is making it happen. I just watch. I enjoy watching what Baba is doing. He is Karanvanhar and I am Karanhar, His puppet, and wherever He makes me dance I enjoy that dance of action. And as soon as I put my head on the pillow. I sleep in Baba’s lap.” This is what Baba meant by do not sleep with worry; do not sleep with tension; do not sleep with tiredness, do not go to bed feeling perplexed or start thinking about others. Otherwise, all the comments will take place in your bed, and you will not be able to experience sleeping in Baba’s lap. As our Good Night song sings, “Princess, Princess go to sleep. Lovely child, come and sleep in the lap of Baba, the lap of light, the lap of love. And so you will wake up as an angel.”

We are tying this rakhi of love and lightness, power and purity. Purity has power. Purity has strength. Purity is respect-worthy. It is a promise to fulfil Baba’s hope. And as Baba is proud of us, we are proud of Baba who is my Companion, who is protecting me. We are very proud of becoming Brahmins. Brahma Kumar and Brahma Kumaris! The power of purity. So Baba is feeding me; Baba is sustaining me; Baba is my Companion, my Friend, my Mother, my Father. Baba is sustaining me spiritually, physically and practically. So consciousness has to be changed. I am not a householder. I am a trustee. I should know the method. Baba has explained a very clear method. We should not forget that method as you hear the Murli. Time is telling me it is time to end the class now. So, do not forget the method that Baba has given. Whatever we eat, whatever we do, all our needs, spiritually or worldly, are fulfilled. God blesses you practically, and God now says, “you bless others, because whatever I am giving you, you hand it over to others.” Share with others without the consciousness that “I am sharing.”, but enable others to experience it. When our action is pure, with the natural state of purity without the consciousness of “I am doing” it is called akarma (neutral action). We had been doing vikarma (negative actions) for a long period of time. Sukarma (elevated charitable action) is the karma we perform now.  From an extreme negative to an extreme positive, the outcome is neutral perfection. Now is the time to achieve perfection. We need to deepen our relationship with Baba by following Shrimat through the actions of the mind, the actions of the intellect and the actions of our sanskaras.

Sister Jayanti - 29th August 2021 - Avyakt Murli Revision 12/03/1988

1st September 2021

Q: Has Krishna taken birth yet?

Jayanti bhen:  No, I am absolutely confident he hasn't yet taken birth.

Om Shanti, and a very happy Janmashtami to each and everyone but, yes, we are still waiting for the world to be completely pure, and then we will see the birth of Shri Krishna happen. It won't happen prior to that. At the moment, we are still reaching the extreme ends of kaliyug and every day's news keeps telling us how extreme things really are, and how close we are to the end. So, the signal is now to hurry up, hurry up with your own effort but, yes, the Earth still isn't ready to support the birth of Shri Krishna, that's for sure. But also, Baba's task hasn't yet been completed; Baba's task is to give Baba's message to the whole world, to make at least 108 completely pure, so that then everybody can be liberated from Kaliyug. We've had liberation for the eight jewels, we've had so many other souls join the advance party, but I think Baba is waiting for the rosary of 108 to be completed, and we won't know about it, but what we will see, is that things are very quickly shifting, and things are finishing. At the moment, we see them reach their climax, but not yet finish, so we have to see things finish and then the beginning happens.

So that was just an aside. Today, BapDada was looking at His loving, cooperative, and powerful children, and it's amazing how much significance Baba packs into each and every single word that he speaks. So, when he says the loving children, Baba has given a lot of detail and definition about that, but also, I can be loving but am I cooperative, and am I cooperative always, and then powerful; am I powerful all the time or is there a fluctuation in my stage in terms of power, and so to be able to reach that stage of all three equally balanced. Yes, then Baba says you are number one but, for all of us, I think there's a margin and a difference, and so loving, yes, but even that, Baba saying is your love constant and natural and always consistent, or is there a difference in your love, and Baba mentioned three categories of love; not only does every word have significance, it has layers and layers and layers of meaning.

So, on the one side, the loving children who just simply love from their hearts, and then the second type of love where there is some motive involved. And so I love Baba because I want this, I love Baba because I want that and, yes, Baba will fulfill my desires but that's not pure unconditional love, that is very much love based on my needs, my desires, my wants, and so it's selfish love actually. Then the third, the love that arises because I’m desperate at a particular time. And so, yes, I think we've all experienced all three stages but especially this third one. Why should I wait to become desperate to receive God's love or God's help when it is actually my right? And so, how can I make sure that my love is so pure, so clean, that it's not based on a situation, it's not based on a circumstance or an obligation or anything like that, but just a natural outpouring of unconditional love, because I have found the One whom I have been searching for, for half the kalpa.

Baba talked about how the ones who have this first degree of love and Baba said, I’m not going to talk about the second and a third – you can understand all of that – but the first degree of love, which is constant and spontaneous and natural and absolutely all the time. So Baba said that those who experience this natural state of love are also able to experience all relationships with the Father, but they also have the understanding of what relationship to connect with according to the moment, according to the time, and so they claim the benefit – the attainment that comes out of all these different relationships. And then, a very simple example, it's time for class: God the Father, the Teacher has come to teach me – and here is God teaching me, to enable me to claim the highest royal status, the elevated position, and what am I doing? I’m having an internal conversation with Baba, and Baba is saying, what's going on…it's time for the Teacher, it's not time for a conversation now, I am your friend but it's not the time for that now. Or, some will say, oh, I feel such a powerful stage of silence going beyond sound, I don't need to come into sound, I need to stay beyond sound. And, yes, Baba wants me to experience that, but not at the time that He's teaching me, and so, when am I going to learn this? If I can adjust myself so that I’m able to recognize the time, the 24-hour clock: Amrit Vela – there's a relationship of Mother and Father, then there's a relationship with the Teacher, and then, through the day, is the relationship of shrimat, and Baba taking me beyond with just a glance. And then, yes, I can have chit-chat with Baba as I do my work, and then in the evening, again, let me experience my angelic form with Baba, and then at night I have to see Baba as Dharamraj. So, each step of the different relationships brings a different benefit, and if I don't take that benefit according to the time, I don't have that wisdom of knowing what the time is asking of me, then everything's going to get muddled, and I won't be able either to experience that beautiful sweet relationship, nor will I be able to experience the benefit of that relationship – the attainment that comes from that.

Then Baba said, just as if the body is overweight and is carrying too much of a load, then you can't adjust your body and keep it stable where it is, you want to mould it and make it sit where you want it to sit…there will always be shuffling and aches and pains and all sorts of things. Well, the same thing with the intellect. If the intellect is gross, if the intellect is overweight, it's not malleable enough, it's not flexible enough to be able to adjust to know the time and the relationship, and experience the benefit, and so, Baba is saying your intellect needs to be very, very clean. Is there rubbish filled in the intellect, is it still filled with negative thoughts? Okay, you've gone beyond that, but is it still filled with waste thoughts? It's going to make you heavy, it's going to make you unable to have yoga; you won't be able to experience what you would like to experience in yoga. It's a complaint that many have, but this is the reason: I spend my time feeding my mind waste stuff, rubbish, and so the intellect gets polluted and it gets overweight – too many thoughts about things that are not my business – I don't need to think about those things, and so wasteful thoughts make the intellect heavy. Equally, ordinary thoughts, same thing. My mind is occupied just with the things here, how can I fly up above and be above with Baba.

So, the quality of intellect that's needed – Baba gave a whole string of definitions – that it has to be absolutely clean, sparkling, no rubbish, no dirt, no accumulation…it has to be extremely subtle, so subtle that I can catch God's vibrations, and experience God's help and then, it has to be divine. Through the day, am I practicing soul consciousness, looking out through my third eye, so that I’m able to see the other soul with its specialities? Spirituality allows divinity to come forth…divinity doesn't come on its own. Spirituality enables divinity to emerge, and so Baba is saying the divine intellect, but it is spirituality that allows that divine intellect to emerge. And so, I need to make sure that I keep my consciousness spiritual through the day, not that I get stuck into position and role and responsibilities here, but I keep myself up above when I’m seeing souls…I’m seeing them with a spiritual – with divine – consciousness and a divine intellect.

Then, an unlimited intellect: a limited intellect will say, me and mine and I and my wants and desires, and my ego comes in big time. I want respect, I want regard, I want position, I want control, I want power...all this is limited intellect. Baba’s saying you can't remember me if your intellect is caught up with limited things: become unlimited, step into the unlimited. And then, a broad intellect – an intellect that's able to see past and present and future. Let me be able to experience all of this, then I know what's going on and what I need to do. So, if the intellect has all of these qualifications, then you're able to experience all relationships with Baba and the benefit of all of those, and you will be lost in love to the extent that obstacles come but they pass you by…you don't even notice them…you're lost in God's love. And, of course, God's love is such that Baba is giving you a huge amount of cooperation so that the obstacle doesn't touch you, doesn't bother you, and it's come and it's gone…you've dealt with it with love…you haven't been stopping in front of it, you haven't bowed down to it…you've been able to fly up above with love, and so obstacles don't interfere.

Baba asked us another question: has your love been constant, stable, unshakeable, immovable, imperishable? Good question. Has my love fluctuated or has my love remained consistent and imperishable…nothing ever kills it. Sometimes, Baba said, there can be problems, sometimes there can be obstacles, sometimes even ups and downs for the divine family, but the one whose love is imperishable, immovable, unshakeable isn't shaken by these things…the love stays constant and, of course, the connection with Baba stays constant…therefore you're able to move forward so fast, otherwise you would get stuck with all of these things. And so, let the intellect be very clean, sparkling, and let the love be unshakeable…absolutely immovable.

Then Baba said, do you have controlling power and ruling power? And so, in terms of the self – Baba’s not talking about control of others, that's the opposite – but controlling power over my physical senses: am I able to control where my eyes go, am I distracted by someone? A lot of murlis on being trapped by name and form recently, over the last 10 days. But are my eyes under my control, so that I’m looking straight ahead…I’m looking at Baba…I’m not distracted by any human being, whatever their activity may be…and so, control first of the physical senses. Can I control my tongue, am I eating the right things, am I eating the right quantity or does my tongue run away with me? Or, the tongue, also in terms of what I say; am I speaking in the right way with the right tone, at the right time? Or, my tongue says a dozen things and I could have bitten my tongue off afterwards. Why did I say this, there was no call to say this, it’s now going to spoil a relationship, and I’m going to have to work very hard to sort it out and put it right, so the control of the senses but, not only, my control over my mind.

What's happening in Kaliyug is the opposite: minds are out of control – the whizzing around, the over-functioning of the mind, where the mind gets exhausted – and then there's burnout, or where it even leads to mental illness, and so we'll stop. Can I slow down the speed of my thoughts, can I put a break on my thoughts…can I say, Om Shanti, and it finishes? And my intellect: is my intellect holding rubbish still, how come I’m not throwing it away, why is it smelling, why is it unhealthy – because I’ve kept too much stuff in there, I don't need to – I need to clean it, I need to get rid of it. And then my sanskaras, I need to control my sanskaras. By now, we've got a pretty good idea of what our sanskaras are, and where am I at, have I cleaned them to have moved away from tamopradhan sanskaras to rajopradhan, or even beyond the rajopradhan sanskaras to sato, and I can just see satopradhan sanskaras just ahead in front of me, and I know in a short while I can get there. So, control means controlling myself, and then I can be the ruler of the self. The ruler isn't exercising control, control is the first stage. I need so much power from Baba that I can control my tongue, both in terms of speech as well as in terms of taste. I need power from Baba to control my mind, and then, once I’ve been able to achieve 100 percent control, then there's sovereignty…I am the master, I am the ruler…I’m not trying anymore, and sometimes my senses run away, sometimes they're disobedient; no, I’ve controlled them, managed them, to the point where now they are clean, satopradhan.  The best sanskaras have now emerged and then I’m the ruler, I’m carefree, everything is going along in the right way – things happen at the right time.

Then, of course, Baba's seeing the numbers that have arrived in Madhuban – huge numbers always – and then Baba's saying, well I’m looking at the time, I’m looking at the body, the chariot, trying not to put too much pressure on the chariot – and remember this is March 1988 – and Baba knew...the chariot didn't know herself, we didn't know…but when a couple of months later, Dadi went for checking in Bombay, they discovered that she had a tumour. So, already in March, Baba's saying, Baba's concerned about the chariot, and so personal meetings aren't going to go on forever and ever.

Then Baba talks about how in the physical dimension, there's always limits…in the subtle region there are no limits. Brahma Baba, when he had a physical body, had certain parameters, certain limits, but now that he's in the avyakt form, he is beyond those limits. You walk from here to there – how long will it take you – and in your subtle form you won't even notice. The angel can fly fast and reach the destination; the human body cannot move not even one-tenth as quickly as the angel. And so, BapDada is doing his work very fast from the angelic region. Baba is now free from all karmic bondages – the bondage of the body, the bondage of sanskaras, the bondage of everything – doing a huge amount of karma, good karma, but yet not claiming any return from that. This is why Brahma Baba is the one soul who is truly, truly equal to God. Just as God does so much and claims no return, in the same way, for the last 50-plus years, Brahma Baba has done so much – but not for Himself – altruistic, just simply for the world. He attained his own perfect state 18th January 1969, and so, all these years since have been in the service of others, nothing for himself.

Then Baba is saying, experiment yourself with your own subtle angelic form, and you will feel that there's no tiredness, you can do a huge amount – much more than you could in your physical form. And, of course, with Baba in his subtle form, then there are all these stories both of omnipresence, as well as of Krishna, that every soul gets satisfied, every soul feels I’ve just experienced a beautiful meeting with Baba, but within a moment this one, this one, this one, this one is having a vision of Baba, that experience of Baba, and that feeling of belonging to Baba, and this is how the concept of omnipresence arises. God must be everywhere because we feel him everywhere, we can see what God's doing everywhere but, no. And then with Krishna, every Gopi felt she was the beloved, and she was the one who was going to dance with Krishna and, of course, Baba in the subtle dimension…Baba able to give each one of us that experience of being with Baba, loving Baba, experiencing Baba, experiencing that love, and so lots of confusion later on, but at this moment we understand the truth and the reality of all of this. Baba shares all the different qualifications of the signs of love, and the number one stage of love.

There were groups meeting Baba and those personal meetings, which we took as blessings, and Baba would sometimes say that, how come blessings are working for some and blessings don't seem to be working for others, even though so many got blessings. And Baba's reply was, when you use your blessings by keeping them in your awareness and following in Baba's footsteps, those blessings become a reality and, when you don't do this then, yes, you've had those blessings but you haven't been able to imbibe them in your life, and so they are not visible in your day and day-to-day activity but Baba gave us so many, so many, so many blessings and those who are coming today will say, but we didn't get those blessings. Well, take all the blessings that Baba is giving you with every single murli. Every murli has the blessing at the end…take that for yourself personally…and make it your own every single day, and your life will surely be blessed, and you will feel Baba's blessings with you all the time. Om Shanti.

Q: Baba is saying that now those of all religions are gradually being moulded in their own way – earlier they used to be very strict – what does Baba mean?

Jayanti bhen: This was a sakar murli a few days ago, and my understanding of that is that the whole area of interfaith opened up towards the end of the 1980s in a very big way, and then of course, 1993, we had the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, a hundred years after the first one. So, a hundred years went by while people were caught up with materialism and all sorts of things, and they forgot about the religions coming together. So, I think that when there is, again, the opening of the door of interfaith activity, this is where the people who belong to that awareness that there is truth in every religion and, of course, Baba's explanation: the seed is one, the tree is one; and yes, there are the big branches, then the little ones, but it's one seed, one tree of humanity. And so, every branch that has taken something from Baba, has taken it from the seed, and so you see the truth that exists in every tradition, and so it was a time of the opening up of, again, interfaith once more. Interfaith activities had continued in a sort of low-key way, even before the World Parliament, but definitely that time at the end of the 1980s, we were beginning to see the whole period of interfaith now, again, coming to the foreground, and it stayed like that today even though there is so much fundamentalism in certain areas, but on the other side, there's also the faiths’ moulding and coming together with respect for each other's faith.

Q: This whole aspect of giving your burden over to Baba, and becoming the carefree emperor. We give it to Baba…we say, okay Baba this is yours, but again, it feels like lip service. Is there some belief system we have to change within us to really hand it over?

Jayanti bhen: Absolute consciousness that I am only, only, only an instrument and so I will do the best that I can, and then I have to let go. I have to step back and say, it's in the drama's hands, and Baba's plan is what is going to evolve. So, it doesn't say become careless, become irresponsible, but it really means imbibing that consciousness that Baba is pulling the strings and I’m doing what I can do, but the results are up to drama, and so not shaken by success or by failure, or what appears to be failure. I've done my best and is there something more I can do…well, let me try, but if there's nothing more I can do, then detach. This is why Baba uses expression, pyara and nyara. Yes, you have love for all, and you want to do the best for all, but then there comes the moment when you have to say, okay, now it's up to you, Baba, I’ve done what I can, and at that moment, really truly detach.

Q: What have you experienced about the golden age? What are some nice highlights of the golden age you've had in trance before?

Jayanti bhen: My experiences of the golden age and trance were as a child and so it was a beautiful scenery, wonderful colours, wonderful fragrances, surrounded by a lot of love, a lot of lightness, and just beauty shining through faces, beauty shining through flowers, beauty shining in all the world around, and so if one word that describes the golden age is truth, satyug, the age of truth and that's what it is. But truth is revealed as perfect beauty and so everything reflects the truth of the Creator in its real true beauty, so that's the image that I’m left with. As a child, you don't understand the details of things...so that's my memory, my recollection. The other thing is a lot of love and lightness, dancing and so much happiness and joy. This is why we love the stories of Krishna so much, and in many centres that I go to across the world, of course, they have pictures of Baba and the yagya and Madhuban and all of that, but they will also have pictures of the Raas Leela…Krishna dancing with the Gopis. People love those images and it's because it's reminding us of that joy of Satyug and, yes, Krishna will be dancing with his friends in Satyug, and so that's the other amazing beautiful experience of Satyug...that it's a time to dance, a time to just simply enjoy. The third thing that I’m thinking about that I’m recalling...think about how heavy gold is – and even a ring – it's heavy, but imagine how when matter is satopradhan, even metal, even gold, is so light, and so pure, that instead of having eye shadow on your eyelid, Lakshmi will have gold around her eyes, and it will be like the necklace around the neck, but this will be just a row of gold, and gold is that light – your eyelids can't carry any weight at all – for just a little tiny cameo, a photograph, of how light everything is in the golden age. Metal is light but our bodies are light, our minds are totally light and free and easy – completely divine – and so a time of lightness, of love, of joy, of laughter, but always, always sharing happiness.

Q: What about food? We offer 56 varieties to the deities, but then on the other hand, we only eat fruits and flowers, so what is your understanding…the early part of the golden age we don't cook?

Jayanti bhen: It was a question that we asked Avyakt Bapdada on the stage in Om Shanti Bhavan when we used to have teachers’ meetings with Baba, and Baba would sit with us so carefree, so light, and Baba would look around and say question, any more questions? We would ask and Baba would still say, any more? Ask, open up your heart and ask. And so at one point in Madhuban, there had been this big debate about what happens in Satyug: will there be cooking or will everything be raw and natural, and of course, Baba said that you know every fruit that you have, every vegetable that you have, will convey all the fragrances and all the different tastes, that you don't need any additives, you don't need to put any spices or herbs or anything to flavour…just whatever it is, on its own, is so delicious…so the imagination of many was that Baba would say no cooking. And Baba said, yes, there will be cooking! Why? Because the deities want to offer hospitality, and a sign of hospitality is that you cook for others with great love. And I don't know that Lakshmi is going to be stirring the pot, but certainly there will be others who will be helping her do it, but Lakshmi will definitely be the one who's giving instructions for what is to be made. But it will all be done with energy that is without any pollution…Baba didn’t specify nuclear energy or solar energy and some would say there is probably solar energy…but Baba did say the cooking there is without any smell, without any pollution, without any dirt or anything like that but, yes, there will be cooking, because the deities will want to offer things with a lot of love, and cooking is a sign of love, also hospitality. So, yes! There will be all the fruits and all the juices and everything but there will also be cooking going on. So, I don't even say, I think…it's exactly what I’ve heard from Avyakt BapDada.

Q: What about dress? We've heard that whatever they wear once, they don't wear again, and it's handed down, is that the case?

Jayanti bhen: Baba has just specified that there will be clothes of lightness and beauty and modesty. The deities are very modest, and I don't think I accept that it will just be one off and then finish. I think that everything will be constantly so fresh and new, it won't feel as if I’m wearing it second time, 10th time, 20th time, but that I can't say for sure…that's what I think.

Q: What are they doing – not just dancing all the time, right?

Jayanti bhen: There will be a court, there will be people sitting in the court, there will be an exchange of news, there will be an exchange of information, and meetings won't be long and drawn out in which there's debate and discussion. One says something, the other one accepts it. You see the thing is that all the deities will be in tune with each other – on the same wavelength – and so you don't need to speak a lot…you need to say just a few words…and the others understand. There's no complication and, of course, our minds are very, very transparent and we're able to read each other's minds, each other's thoughts. So, there's no rubbish, there's nothing unclean there, and there's nothing selfish. You know, if you were to read my mind today, maybe you would get a shock, and you would say oh, my goodness, what's going on in there, but the deities are completely clean, completely pure – so, open books – and so, yes, there will be communication in words also, because language is also very sweet and beautiful, and it's important to share, and that's what's going to continue later, of course, when we lose this power of just mental telepathy. But a lot of communication will happen just through the power of thought and, yes, words will be sweet…words will be like poetry, like a song…and after sitting in court sorting out our business of the ruling of the country, you will then say, okay, let's have a party, let's eat together, let's spend time together, just chatting. And so, I think there will be a lot of hospitality, a lot of entertainment and a lot of love. There's a very nice word that they use for Satyug in some scriptures and it's called Krityug, which means it's the age where everything has been done already. It's already been done (krit – karam), so that karma has been done already. So, like the farmer, there will be farmers, but the farmer won't have to dig the earth, there won't be any toil or labour or sweat and perspiration involved, and so the farmer will be able to go into the field, sprinkle the seeds and everything will then do its own work, and they will be beautiful fruits and flowers and whatever it is that we need coming...so, everything happening very easily. There will be a barter system, there will be exchanges, there will be places where you can go and have barter, and exchange your goods for the goods that the other one has. There will also be coins – there will be an economy – but it will be golden coins, and it's not that it will be expensive, it's not that it will be a sign of power, it will just be literally currency, the flow of energy, and so from one to another, to another and it will flow. I have to say that a little while earlier there had been a booklet produced that was circulated, and I've forgotten the exact name of it...was it Divine Experiences or something like that? And there were beautiful passages of classes from the Dadis, and the Dadis had shared their thoughts about the golden age, and also taken from avyakt murlis, that gave beautiful descriptions of many aspects of the golden age. Exquisite Exchanges. That's what it was, yes, and an international team had put it together.

Q: One person said that it would be good to have gone into trance, so we could see these.

Jayanti bhen: I think it's going to come at the end...Baba said that it's going to come at the end. Just today’s murli, and Baba is saying that, just as at the beginning, Baba kept you entertained, then it was time for effort, so that time for effort is now coming to its conclusion, and beyond the effort, then there will be the visions. Some with beautiful experiences that satyug is just ahead and some with experiences that, well, I had the opportunity and I didn't use my time and my opportunity as I could have. So, different levels of experiences, but definitely Baba has mentioned at the end, there will be a lot of trance.

Q:Should we celebrate lokik birthdays?

Jayanti bhen: Generally, we do celebrate lokik birthdays now, because Dadi would say that it's a time to get blessings from everyone. It's a time in which you, yourself, can have a very special renewal of your promises to Baba, and it's a time when others can also share how they see you and what they see in you, so that you can experience that upliftment. So, we do celebrate nowadays.

Q: What does the yagya say about souls with mental illnesses? Are they ill when the soul starts disturbing someone in the centre? Can we prevent them from coming to the centre so it doesn't create karmic accounts?

Jayanti bhen: It's a very delicate situation, and sometimes souls are aware that they're not so well and sometimes they're not. If they're aware that they're not well, then it's very easy to talk to them and say you know it's creating a disturbance here, perhaps you need to go to a professional, seek professional help and get well, and then when you're better, then you come back again. And then when a person doesn't know that they're not well, that is extremely, extremely delicate and the best way is to see if they have lokiks who are in touch with them. Sometimes there are individuals who are totally single and don't have much contact with lokiks, so that's even more difficult, but otherwise if they do have lokik relatives that you can connect with, then you can talk to the lokik relatives and say, you might have noticed that this person's behaviour is not always so peaceful, and our suggestion is that really this person needs professional help. And so, see how they respond, and if they can then speak to the person – because then they know that person better than we do, and the behaviour is of course more obvious to them than it is to us – and so I would deal with it in that way. If they are really alone…alone and there's no lokik relative in contact with them…then we have to bite the bullet and we have to say, can I have a chat with you? Have you noticed that your behaviour is not as Baba would want it to be? It's creating quite a disturbance for others. Can I suggest that you take professional help? And be very yogyukt, be very loving and kind, and maybe the person will accept it.

Q: Connected with that, how is it that souls who are pukka for many years, and then they leave Baba, but then they develop some paranoia or schizophrenia. I think the question is, if they have been a Brahmin and understood and wise and everything, then what happens to the mind, the intellect?

Jayanti bhen: I think the first step is when a person isn't making proper spiritual effort, which means really looking at the self, rather than looking around and outside. If I begin to look around and outside, then I get very distracted, and then many doubts come into my mind and then I say, well, there's discrimination; so-and-so is given opportunity, I’m not given opportunity…all sorts of things like this come in the way, and if this is allowed to continue, then that individual themselves moves away from Baba – they're creating quite a lot of upheaval within the community anyway – but at some point, then they move away from the community. Then, of course, they must be going through a huge amount of trauma, because on the one side they've recognized the truth, and on the other side they, themselves, have chosen to throw that opportunity away, and so when it's that sort of condition, I can imagine that the mind is totally unstable – being pulled in different directions all at once – and so that state of mind is then a very difficult thing to manage. But, of course, the way out of that conundrum is that, if they decide – with a lot of humility and a lot of love for Baba – that I’m really going to work on myself, I’m going to practice soul consciousness, I’m going to connect with Baba, then, they sort themselves out, and if they've been persistent and consistent with that then, yes, it's possible that they get well and that they're back with Baba. But when the mind is in turmoil in this way, to even get to that realization that this is the way out of my predicament, it's not so easy for them to understand this, until they accept full responsibility: I am here where I am because of my own thoughts and feelings.

Q: Could it be karma coming up, some hidden karma that we didn't know, like a sickness comes up later?

Jayanti bhen: It could definitely be that, but my feeling is that where I've been accurate in shrimat, then I’m getting Baba's help and so I’m staying on track, and that's helping me deal with the karma. I don't know how much karma I carry, and so different sanskaras keep popping up from time to time that I didn't know about, but with Baba's help and shrimat – those two things – my love for Baba, and faith in Baba is in place, so I’m getting help. But I’m also following shrimat, then these two things in place mean that I’m going to overcome that karma and keep moving on, because everybody has to deal with karma, not just a few people at the end of kaliyug. We are all carrying a huge amount of baggage of karma and so the question is, how do I deal with it, and Baba's showing me how to deal with it, and Baba is reminding me, look at yourself…don't look at anyone else…see yourself, and see Baba…that's it.

Q: Lokik seva, how to define it and what is the difference between lokik seva and alokik seva?

Jayanti bhen: What I’m doing for my family is actually fulfilling my karmic responsibilities and that I have to do – it's not an option, it's not a choice – and if I do it well with Baba's remembrance, as a trustee, then I will know where to draw the line and say, okay, I've done enough of this now, now my time and energy can be used for God's service, whether it's in terms of my timetable of a day or whether it's in terms of timetable in terms of my lifespan. So, there's a time when parents have to give a huge amount to their little children, and then there comes a time when the children are at school, and so I have time through the day; then I can do some other type of service, I don't need to be hanging around the house and doing extra, extra, extra things all the time. Yes, if I do something extra for a special occasion, no problem, but I have enough time during the period that the children are at school, to give time to Baba’s service, and where I’m not doing that, what is it? Is it my laziness, is it my attachment, is it my greed? Just check and see, and so there should be the possibility of saying, this is lokik service and it's my karmic responsibility, I must do it, and then their service which is my option – nobody's going to say you have to do it – but it's fortune, it's opportunity, and if I can make time available for that, that's my fortune. You know, how did Baba's yagya run in the early days? The mothers used to be so economical with their budget, that they would save pennies and accumulate pounds, and the pounds would go to Baba, and others would say, but my budget is so tight I can't manage…I can't even manage my budget. But, can I be so economical that I can have a saving, and even that little saving I put towards Baba’s yagya, so it's a question of awareness and attitude. Do I recognize Sangamyug is an opportunity to be able to serve God, to serve God's family, to serve in God's home, to give Baba's message to other people, or am I going to give my time, attention, energy, money, everything in lokik? I’ve done this for the whole cycle, and I’m going to continue to do this now; it's okay, it's fine, but I’m missing out on creating my fortune, so my choice…what do I do?

Q: If earthquakes appear, because of impurity, then why did the earthquake take place between silver age and copper age?

Jayanti bhen: The question is actually being answered. At that moment when souls fall from that state of purity, there are earthquakes and the earth is shaking, matter is shaking, and of course, as a result of that, all the history of the golden and silver ages goes down deep, deep, deep below and you're not able to access it, and it even disappears from our own consciousness and awareness. There are memories of the deities, but we don't know that we are those deities…the impurity has already created amnesia.

Q: This subject of favouritism, when a Centre-in-Charge is giving more attention to one than the other?

Jayanti bhen: This is the whole subject of where am I looking, why am I looking at others to see that somebody else is being given more attention or whatever, whatever, whatever…let me do what I need to do, and keep my attention focused on my own study, my own awareness, my own opportunity for good karma for service…there's an infinite amount of service available. Really, I don't need to see what others are doing on any level whatsoever, and if there is favouritism and the teacher is doing that, then it's her problem, her issue, not mine. And the person who is getting all the attention, well, there will come a moment when it's not possible to get that attention, and they will have to sort themselves out and see, was I dependent on one person's attention, or am I really here for Baba. So don't think about it, don't look at it…it's a waste of your energy.

Q: If somebody is hurt by another in the centre – should they create a distance, or communicate, or take it up, argue it out?

Jayanti bhen: Arguing is not the way for Brahmins and definitely not if I’m on my way to becoming a deity. But let me first of all become calm, and not feel that anguish of being hurt, and when I’m calm and stable, then I can speak to that individual involved and say, maybe you didn't realize that what you said actually caused a lot of sorrow, and the other person will probably say, but I didn't mean it, I didn't intend it in that way. And maybe by having that sort of talk conversation – I don't like this word discussion, because it's percussion, it's noise – and so just a conversation in which I’m explaining where I stand, and giving the other the opportunity to explain why they said, or why they did this. If I attack them and say, you did this to me, well, they're probably going to attack me back again more, so it's a waste of time. But opening the door for a dialogue for a conversation and just seeing where they're at, maybe they do have a reasonable explanation and maybe, truly, they didn't realize that what they were doing was causing somebody sorrow. So, they will say, thank you for alerting me, I'll remember that for next time. And if they're indignant and say, I did nothing wrong, you say, okay, I just wanted to draw your attention to it. But you don't have to try and prove it...it's a waste of energy if the person isn't able to realize by your communicating it, then really, just put a full stop to it, don't take it any further at all, and just make yourself strong. You can take Baba's love, Baba's power, and strengthen yourself, and don't create a distance, but certainly create a shield armour plating of yoga power, especially when you're with that individual. But the situation is that today this person has hurt me, tomorrow another one, and another one and another one will also hurt me because I’ve become sensitive, and so I keep feeling hurt and getting hurt. If I become strong, whatever they say and do isn't going to hurt me.

Q: Can you tell us the nitty-gritty of sakash? What is actually happening – because there's so much happening – we have to send sakash to Afghanistan, to Haiti, to Africa…what are we doing, where are we zooming our light?

Jayanti bhen: The important thing is, I remember the person, the place or the situation for one moment, I hold that in my inner vision and I bring Baba in front of me, and Baba's light and might is going to reach that place. It's not me that can give that place sakash. Can you imagine me trying to change the situation in Afghanistan, or me trying to take away the sorrow of the people in Haiti, but I can bring Baba in front of that situation and then leave it to Baba and that's the end. I must just continue with my own powerful, powerful yoga connected only with Baba, and Baba's light and might is going to reach those souls and help them. Don't spend half an hour thinking about one place or another place, or one individual or another individual, that's not sakash – that's my attachment or that's my interest – no, the world is suffering and people here, people there, people everywhere…whether it's suffering of the mind or suffering of the body…different things are going on, and so I just need to hold that person or place for a moment, bring Baba in front of me, and continue with my meditation. Thank you! And Om Shanti to all.

Sister Jayanti - Sunday 22nd Aug 2021 - Revision Avyakt Murli 07.03.88

1st September 2021

I was remembering Dadi when Baba said, for the children who are his right hands, the serviceable ones, there's always the awareness of God and fortune. And so Dadi's comments on one side, I have God, on the other side, I have my fortune, Bhagwan abd bhagya. Baba was using those two words and I'm sure that Dadi must have picked up those words from Baba at some point, absolutely absorbed them and kept them in her heart forever. God, the Bestower of Fortune was seeing all his fortunate children and, appreciating the fact that these are the Brahmin children out of 5.5 billion souls at that time, now it's more, but out of all of those billions there's a lucky handful who come close. But out of those, it's just a few who actually recognise God and say, I belong to you. And so, all of us in this particular session are the ones who have recognised Baba and have claimed that fortune from the bestower of fortune. Baba was not seeing the hands on our lines like the lokik fortune tellers, but Baba was seeing the lines on our forehead and seeing the light that shines from the forehead. Yes, it's number wise but definitely every child was a child of God, a Brahmin child has that light of fortune shining in the forehead, numberwise but definitely it's there. Then Baba spoke about the eyes, how the eyes of the fortunate children are always shining and radiating happiness. Just a glance from those eyes, and it inspires God's love and brings those souls closer to God, and fills them with happiness too. Baba was appreciating the smile of the fortunate children and how the smile is filled with divinity and spirituality. And also generally Baba was talking about how these souls are so light that everybody experiences that lightness from them just by being in their company and they become light also. So much praise for all his children.

Then Baba spoke about two words that go together very closely in Hindi, atti and ant. Atti (the extreme), ant (the end). So now we are seeing that we're coming to those end times, things are reaching more and more of an extreme state. But Baba said how, when there's rehearsals going on something flares up then it dies down, and people get used to it and say well, these things always keep happening. And so they fall asleep again. They stir a little bit but they fall asleep once more. But as time truly comes to its end they'll be in more and more extreme situations. And, I think we're actually witnessing those scenes at the present time. Maybe things couldn't get much, much worse but they're not so good at the moment anyway. As people see all of this, they're going to have limited disinterest in the sense that it's the reaction to what they're seeing. Whereas for Baba's children there's unlimited disinterest. We have seen something more beautiful that we would like to obtain, so there's a very natural disinterest in anything of the old world. That unlimited disinterest is something that'll be showing others that we have God in our fortune and they'll be able to see that light. For them also, their thoughts will turn to God; that there is only One who is the Creator. That there's only One who is the parent of all of us. And so their attention will be drawn away from everything else and come to that One. It reminded me of the fact that during Covid it's still ongoing of course, but especially when it was at its peak at some point, then at that moment, I understood that there were more people searching for God on google than ever before. The two most frequently asked questions were about God and about prayer. So it just gives an indication that yes, when it's difficult times then people's focus turns to God even if they don't know who He is. But they're searching. They're looking. And there's something within them that tells them that there is somebody up there.

Baba took up the whole story of our fortune and our time table; how right from the time of nectar, amrit vela, Baba comes to invoke us. Baba comes to awaken us. Baba's waiting for us to come to Him. And also Baba's saying that, when the deities, people think that the deities are gods. And so they bring their bells to wake up God. And I thought to myself, it is incredible that people should think that God goes to sleep. In any case God is the server who actually comes to awaken us and sometimes people will say that even though they don't want to get up, somebody is calling them, somebody is waking them up. And Baba's giving a very sweet invitation to come and sit with Me in the highest place, the subtle region, or Paramdham, and just experience what it's like to be Bapsaman, the very powerful and beautiful invitation from God. And it's an invitation that's only possible at amrit vela. Baba's saying the place itself is something that gives you a different consciousness, so when you come to Madhuban you don't have to work hard for yoga. It's a natural state of awareness and yoga is there with you all the time. So come to the highest place Parandham and experience the highest consciousness of being with God. If the morning starts powerfully in this way you will experience that help with you through the whole day. For Brahmins, the next step is our time of study, and God coming from the far away land, the resident of the far away land comes here from far, far away especially to teach us. Baba teaches us every single day; no excuses, no laziness, no saying: well I have a headache today or I can't make it, I didn't sleep very well last night. Those are human excuses. God doesn't have any excuses.

Baba is there every single day to actually be there to teach us. I was remembering again the story from Dadi that when Baba was in hospital and there'd been major surgery, and Baba couldn't speak at that moment. Shiv Baba used Brahma Baba's hand to sit and write pages  and pages of a murli, and this is what was then circulated to Baba's children. This would have been in the early 60's in Bombay. So, Baba went through that period even though the chariot wasn't okay yet Baba never missed a day for the murli. And so Baba makes sure that the teacher's there every single day to help the children. Then Baba on duty, on call tirelessly, all the time, and so saying well how come you children get tired? Look at your Father and see how tireless your Father is when he's serving you. And of course, yes for us a very beautiful thought, the One who is above, is the One who is working through us. Not that I do this or I have to do this, or there's so much that I need to do. No, Baba is Karankaravanhar, He's working through me and it's Baba who's getting it all done. It's Baba who's making me move from here to there and there to there. Just have that total faith and awareness that Baba is the One who is doing it all. Baba's very interesting point is that as soon as you think you're alone, and I have to do it, well that's you opening the door. If you open the door so sweetly with the thought of I, and I and I then, maya's just waiting to take a chance and maya's going to come in through. Then maya is going to take over. But if I always have the thought that Baba's with me and Baba's always the one who's doing it all, then I can stay very light and carefree. Baba explains very much the whole subject of how if there is this awareness of the Lord, the Master, the One who is in charge doing it, then the child can be carefree completely. If the child thinks; well I'm in charge, well fine do it. In Hindi, they would say, badda hona  matlab badaa dukh paana  - (the bigger you are, the bigger the problems you have to deal with and the greater the sorrow you take). So I'm not the big One. The big One's up there. The big one is the one who is in charge. And He is responsible, and He is happy to take responsibility. Let me be the child, leaving it to the Father, yes, doing what I can to the best of my accurate possibility. I'll do whatever it is that's possible. But He's the One in charge. Where there's this consciousness of 'I have done it', 'I am doing it', then that becomes a burden, then it's no more elevated karma. When there's pure consciousness and elevated karma the result of that, the fruit of that, is your happiness and your lightness.

To be the angel, remember that He's in charge and He's doing it all. Then you can be absolutely light and fly without the bondage of karma. Angels are engaged in good karma. They give God's message. They bring peace and love to the whole of humanity. They're not caught in the bondage of karma. They do a lot, but they're not caught up in the bondage of karma. Experience that angelic stage. And then Baba takes us further through the day within our normal time table. There's a time to eat. And so yes, enjoy Brahma bhojan. The sentence that I loved was: Brahma is the Protector of the Yagya. He's the protector of you children also. There'll never be a time when, if you've been following Baba's shrimat, that Brahma Baba isn't going to provide you with dahl, lentils and chapati, or bread or rice whatever you prefer and vegetables. That's a whole meal in itself. What more would you want? Baba is responsible to protect the yagya and to care for every child of the yagya. But you have to remember that you're a trustee not a grasthi (a householder). A trustee says, all of this is Yours, nothing belongs to me. And a householder says this is mine and whatever You have is also mine. But in the case of a trustee, everything belongs to God in a very real and practical way. And even if you're running a household, a family, you have responsibilities, you have a job. That's absolutely fine. What you also do is to make sure that whatever you have you first put into Baba's Bhandari, (Baba's box) and if you're contributing in that way to Baba's box and you have the consciousness of trustee then you are part of the bandara, the whole treasure store. And the innocent Lord is going to be taking care of you. And so, your thought and Baba's thought. Your thought, I'm a trustee and Baba's thought, you're my responsibility. And everything gets sorted out. And right through the kalpa, Baba will take good care not even just half the cycle but definitely through the whole cycle. I absolutely believe this. I have to make sure that I remember to be a trustee and hold everything in trust for God. And then Baba's also talking about how to go to sleep; Baba does want you to have a good rest. Baba does want you to sleep. Baba's not denying that at all. We have to be the conquerors of sleep, but at the same time, to be able to sleep so sweetly that it's like a child in the father's lap and so Baba will sing a lullaby to you. Baba will come to you if you invoke Baba and Baba will sing a sweet song of the lovely child, the sweet child and send you to sleep. And so, everything in Baba's hands in that awareness absolutely and then no troubles, no problems, Baba said that, you know if you're just calling God at a time of need because you're presented with a difficulty then yes Baba will help you, but then what happens is you get so intoxicated that you forget about everything and you forget about remembering Baba?

If you were to remember Baba and do the right thing at the right time according to shrimat, there wouldn't be a problem that arises, and so a very good mantra to keep in mind. Not just a call out to God for help at a time of distress, that's what bhagats do, not the children. The children stay with Baba so that there is no problematic situation. Or if there is, Baba's able to give you the touching to be able to resolve it and deal with it. And Baba gave us a very interesting example of how yes, what you have to do is just keep the right consciousness and have the intoxication of your fortune. Just keep remembering that and you'll be able to experience power through that remembrance. Otherwise, it's like keeping things locked away in your intellect, you know everything. But you're keeping it locked away. It's merged. But, if you think about it and emerge then that sparkle of your fortune will be visible. Otherwise, it's like someone having a bottle of alcohol and keeping it in the bottle. Well, it's not very effective. It's not going to be of any use but the person who's going to drink it, is going to feel whatever it is they feel through that. Baba's giving you everything to give you that intoxication, but you keep it locked, and so it's merged. Think about it. Emerge it. Express it. Then you'll be able to experience that joy in your life, and that intoxication that makes everything move forward very, very easily and smoothly.

When Baba was talking to Dadi Janki: I was very aware that you know we have all the lines on our hands. But there was a funny situation that I'd been in and there was a person called Yogi Bhagin. He at that time was the founder of an organisation called 3HO the happy, holy, healthy ones. So, some of you in my generation might remember the name, Yogi Bhagin? We were at a conference somewhere in the Caribbean and it was warm, and he had slippers on. He put his foot up, and said; you see this, and he showed me circles on the sole of his feet. There was a funny scene. His wife was sitting there, and his followers were there, but he was showing me, do you see these circles? These are a sign of good fortune. And so here was Baba telling Dadi Janki, that the maharatis, the serviceable ones, have the circles on their feet, which has been translated as wheels, which is also accurate. The wheels of service turning and making you move. So whether it's car wheels, whether it's aeroplane wheels, or whether it's the wheels of fortune. I never had a good look at Dadi's feet to see if there were wheels in that way and circles in that way, but you have the wheels of fortune, the circles of fortune on your feet. So wherever you go, whatever it is you do there'll be service in that. There's always things about Dadi that come to mind and so many situations. In the last several years, when she'd be sleeping we would see that sometimes she's doing this, and it was the reminder that she loved giving toli. So it was like even in her sleep she was giving toli. Sometimes she would even say to Hansa, I haven't finished giving toli. Don't wake me up now. Wake me up in 10 minutes. I'll have finished giving toli by then. Even during sleep with Baba, but also on service giving toli. So service at all times, and creating the fortune of others through service also. I don't remember what the reason was for her going to Bombay and then Kurukshetra, but Baba's comment that whatever the reason is, there's always service merged in that. And so Baba's blessing for all of us also. Wherever you go, there's service to be done, wherever you are there's lots of service, and so just distribute fortune whatever it is you're doing. So a very, very lovely murli, but that's every murli isn't it. We always enjoy each one of the murlis that Baba's speaking; whether it's the sakar murli - the sakar you have to churn a little bit more to get the beauty of it and the joy of it. The avyakt murli; that's very easy, it's very powerful and just follow it through even if you remember these few words God and fortune are always with you. You'll feel that intoxication with you through the whole week. Let me stop here. Om shanti.

Q: Today perhaps we can talk about purity because we have just passed Raksha Bhandhan. And also hear about Dadi Prakashmani cause her day is coming. Beginning from the copper age, what do you think was the feeling at the loss of our purity? Were we aware that we're losing the purity? What was happening the moment we lost our purity?

A: I think that at that moment we really were so drawn into the senses that we wanted to experience that physical pleasure. And so there was no gyan in the soul. I think that when we lost that purity we saw literally everything fall apart. Those deity souls, when they came down into that birth in the copper age and they witnessed at some point, there must have been witnesses of that scene. Deities don't experience sorrow so I think it would have been just in that first birth that there's a loss of purity. They go through the horror of losing everything that was there in the world of heaven. That disappeared. That transition must have been quite traumatic also. We don't know too much about it. Baba hasn't gone into that sort of detail. But you know if you've been through a major cataclysm in that way whether it's a tidal wave, whether it's an earthquake and much has been lost, then you know that it leaves the soul with a very heavy heart. I think that  would have then made them seek human comfort and human company, and the whole thing about attachment and possessiveness also came onto the scene. The whole story of Pandora's box and you open it and everything flies out at you. The devastation of the earthquakes and all the things that happened to make heaven disappear would have been quite a traumatic experience. So that pushed us further into body consciousness but also then the search for a saviour, the search for a Creator, the search for God.

Q: We didn't recognise purity really was the root, the basis, the foundation, of all our happiness? So, then we get stuck in the limited?

A: Yes I'm sure that that image of Pandora's box you know, it begins with a desire for pleasure. You open that box and then you're totally overwhelmed by everything that happens after that, so not a very good experience, but it happened. The good thing that came out of it, it made us search for God. The path of devotion if there's, you know, like the symbolism that they have in China. So where there's the light patch, the dark patch is that we don't know ourselves and we don't know God. And in the darkness, the light patch is that this is where we now begin to search for God. Otherwise, in the golden and silver ages, the dark patch is that we're totally disconnected from God. And here we're trying to regain that connection, so there's some bhavna, there's some love. Just imagine the deep, deep love that the soul of Brahma Baba in his role in the copper age and building the Somnath Temple, the temple of such glory that it could've been looted 17 times.

Q: So many people said to Dadi Janki that if you don't talk about purity, then you will get lots of people coming to you. What is your response to that?

A: It makes me laugh because I know that if Baba was seeking popularity then there would be three things that Baba would never, ever mention. One was celibacy and the second would be destruction and the third would be the repetition of the cycle. These three things are the big, big sticking issues for any non Brahmin soul. This is what separates the Brahmins from everybody else. Speak to a Brahmin soul and within their hearts, within their conscious, even if they're struggling for purity, (and for some it has been a struggle), but their conscience recognises and resonates with this concept of purity. The other thing is that when you talk to them about the repetition of the cycle, somehow they understand that. You know, when I first started teaching properly in India it was like a game. You know I taught the 7 day's course I learned there.

The real teaching and seeing how souls can take rebirth as a Brahmin was happening here in London. And, I would be amazed at Baba's magic that the logic was whatever it was, but somehow a Brahmin soul resonates with that concept of an eternal cycle and the repetition of the cycle. They understand that this is Kaliyug. We don't want this anymore. There's another brighter future, better future ahead. And so Baba wasn't seeking popularity. Baba came to reveal the truth. And the truth is that purity is at the very heart of freedom from all the vices, freedom from bondage, freedom from dependency, purity is freedom. And, Brahmin souls are going to understand this and want to follow it in their lives. So it's the filter that separates the Brahmin's from all the rest.

Q: There are two schools of thought; one is that we are very pure and this dirt is just on the surface and part of our effort is to remove the dirt. The other form of thought, we have become impure and we have to imbibe purity again. So is it that we use whichever thought works for us or is there actually truth in any of this?

A: For me any analogy only goes so far, it doesn't go all the way. I would say that there's some aspect of truth in both. And, I really would say use both at different times. When you can feel that yes, Baba's helping you wash and scrub and clean away all the dirt and rubbish, and you're beginning to see that purity that's within come through shining. Take that on board and use it. And then the other way is where yes, there's so much impurity that the soul has absorbed all that alloy within itself. What I need to do is to burn that impurity away with the fire of yoga. Then yes, I'll be able to claim that inheritance of purity from Baba. You can see Baba's language coming through in both analogies. I think we always have to accept that there's a limitation to analogy. And that reality is that it's a combination of both. I need to wash and clean and scrub but I also need to have the fire of yoga, so that the impurity is burned away completely and claim my inheritance of purity.

Q: What about our sanskars? Some people say that our vicious sanskars get put at the back, like at the back burner and then they emerge at the copper age. Is that so?

A: My understanding is that everything is recorded in the soul indelibly. It can never ever be erased because then the part would be erased. What Baba tells us, it's another analogy, but it's the record, and the old fashioned record. The needle comes on the right groove at the right time, and whatever is the music there emerges and then falls back within. Definitely, everything is recorded in the soul and nothing is going to be able to remove that. This is how the cycle is about to turn. It's not a new recording that we're able to do every single time. We go through the cycle. But it's there. So that recording of becoming a Brahmin is there and it emerges. And, some of us have had that experience that can be quite a dramatic moment in which that recording emerges. And for some it's the experience of gradual, gradual, the music gradually comes to that point where there was a slow recognition of maybe a vegetarian diet, of maybe alternative health systems, but then you come to a point where, ah I'm now a Brahmin and it all fits in and it makes sense. So whatever it is I've done is recorded. And it's never going away. It's there for eternity through eternity every cycle.

Q; So in the same way the virtuous sanskars or the golden aged sanskars are also there, so we should focus on that?

A: Absolutely, just in the way that before I became a Brahmin I could never ever have imagined that I was going to be following this lifestyle and that's true for most I think. It was a surprise to them that they turned around and became a Brahmin and the Brahmin's sanskars emerged. So too the deity sanskars are there. And this is where Baba keeps reminding us, have that intoxication of who you truly are! And emerge those sanskars but do it now because where else are you going to do it? If you don't experiment with it and allow those sanskars to emerge today they're forever going to stay merged. And there's no mechanism to make them emerge in satyug just by chance. You have to emerge them now with Baba's help.

Q: This is a very common question; many people say that Brahmin Baba had a married life, he had children, he enjoyed himself, and now he's asking us to live pure. What is your answer to that?

A: We're looking at only one part of Brahma Baba's / Dada Lekraj's life.Look at the totality of Lekraj's life. He could have had just luxury and comfort and the prestige of the community and the honour and privilege. Yet he was able to sacrifice all of that. So if I'm following in Baba's footsteps, there's a lot more than just one aspect to purity. For him it would have been a natural choice at that age to move in that direction. But look at all the things that he did just consciously he didn't need to do any of that. Because that was you know part of what he had earned. He had earned the respect with his high ideals, the honour and praise that was being lavished on him. He was ready to do all of that, finish with it all, in a stroke just simply through God's visions and the experience of God calling him. But on the other side, look at Mama. And Mama 16 years old, totally pure, and yet of course not the same background as Dada Lekraj but yet, she is also making a decision for the rest of her future just overnight. Absolutely! Follow what you wish but follow the highest that Brahma Baba did. Follow the highest that Mama did. And so you'll find something to relate to within the lives of both of them.

Q: Purity of money: this question comes up here, as we have quite a few mothers and maybe the rest of their family are not in gyan. It's being given to children, or other expenses which may create negative karma. What is your advice on that? How to use the money so that you incur less karma?

A: I think that it's very much a question of the individual being able to see the difference between responsibility and attachment, and it's very easy to merge both those things together. Here's a real life example of modern times here in London currently a little while ago. An Indian family and at first when the parents came to Baba, the husband came first, the wife came through her own awareness, very, very smoothly, very easily so no problem there. Two young daughters and the father, they would come to class and they had a lot of love and friendship with all the sisters and everything. But by the time they were in their early teens they'd stop coming to class and it was understood that they had chosen to have careers and they did well in their studies and had good careers. And the father sat them down and told them that I love you and I'm glad I've given you a good education and you've had a comfortable life which they had, but now I must also tell you that I won't be providing any money for your marriage. You're very welcome to introduce me to your boyfriends and I'll meet them and I'll respect them and love them. But you have to be responsible for whatever are the expenses for your wedding and for the things after that also. Now for a traditional Hindu father to say that to his children with his wife's blessing and support. Because if the wife had said, no, no, no I must give jewellery to my daughters, this is a tradition, I must give a trousseau that's a tradition. The girl's parents have to pay for a big lavish wedding. No, she supported her husband. And she'd been actually working also so it was her income too. But the girl's understood and the father explained to them with such love that there was no other type of feeling at all. They accepted it and they didn't have lavish weddings in a way that so many people do. They had simple weddings but that was fine, that's what they wanted. And they have a very good life in the sense that they have love for Baba but they have their own domestic life and situation. But they created a life based on good values. So, they've taken that from Baba and they're okay, they're happy. Now, the father could easily have been swayed by the emotion of the daughters saying, oh but dad you have to organise something very special. But no he put it to them in a very simple way, very matter of fact and they accepted. So this is one example of a family I know in recent times, not even Brahma's Baba example of 8 years ago and the world's then but recent times. So I think the parents have to understand, am I using my money for giving my children a good education? Which is true, which is important. I'm giving them a foundation for their future. I know that now we're looking at things in a very short term. But still education means that the child is being trained properly to think in a logical, reasonable way. Now I don't know whether people would consider today's education as being able to do that, but traditionally this is what education was for not just claiming a degree. But helping you think through things clearly so that you are able to understand what was going on.

So, there are things that are important that parents need to do for their children. You can make a whole list of all the things that are important. I know that some parents have always, always encouraged their children to play sports. They say that it uses their youthful energy in the right way. So yes, there's an expense involved and whether it's equipment, or clothing, or admission to a tennis club or whatever it may be. But they would say it keeps our kids out of trouble. They're using their energy in a very constructive, creative way. So that's fine. You see, you have to see what it is that's needed to allow my children to have a healthy upbringing that's going to prepare them for life in the future. And also instil in them values. And then where it is that after attachment I allow the balance to tip to the other side, and I'm thinking about a few mothers who've come to me with this issue. Not so much in London but in many other places that I've travelled to. And they've spoken about how their offspring, son or daughter wanted money and they gave them money. And then, the demands continued to grow and they finally understood that their offspring was involved in drugs. And so then they started to tighten up. And then the child, now a teenager, would take from the mother's purse, he knew where the purse was, and so he'd go and help himself because the mother wasn't giving money. And it leads to quite a traumatic situation for the mother to deal with. What should I do? She then decided that she would offer him the opportunity to be in a rehabilitation centre and the child accepted that. And that did make a huge difference in his life and of course about the whole situation with the family. So you're faced with difficult choices, parenting in Kaliyug, at the end of Kaliyug is a very, very challenging task. But with Baba's help it becomes easier than it would be otherwise. That's for sure. Another parent told me how they had to sit down with their 15 year old and literally lay down the law. If you want to stay in this house you have to follow the rules of this house and come back at such and such a time. Once you go to university you're 18. That's your choice whatever you do. But while you're in this house you follow the rules. And so that teenager again was very grateful that things had been pointed out. Because it was like the father said, the child was pushing to see what limits there were. And when the limit was finally reached and was explained the teenager was okay about accepting that limit. So what are the demands that are being made on me, are they reasonable or are they unreasonable? And can I fulfil them? Should I fulfil them? These are all the questions that are very different in every situation. But a parent has to understand and with Baba's help then do what is best.

Q: How would you explain purity to lokik people?

A: I would say to them that it's a personal choice. And it's nobody imposing anything on anyone else. But I have chosen to follow the path of purity because I know that this can lead me to deeper spiritual experiences and I want to make that happen for myself. So take it absolutely on the personal level, not an organisational thing, or an institutional thing. No, this is my choice. And if I want it, yes I could go find a boyfriend. I could go find a girlfriend, no problem. But I want to be able to go onto a higher level of consciousness and my instinct tells me that if I keep a path which is of purity it's going to help me get there. And so nobody can challenge you on your personal choice.

Q: Brahma Baba had a reference point in the subtle region about his celestial degrees. What about us? What can we do to know our celestial degrees?

A: Baba has told us that every Brahmin has an angelic form in the subtle region. The effort now is to be able to connect with Shiv Baba, go to the supreme abode and then come down to the subtle region, and take on your costume of light and feel it. And to realise that this also belongs to you when you're here in the physical dimension. You're so connected with this, it's mine. Nobody else can pinch this costume of mine, it's mine. But equally, there's a very specific costume waiting in the subtle region and that is also mine. It belongs to me. So you don't have to worry too much about is it 15 degrees or 16 degrees or 14 degrees? Just claim that costume as your own. And when you come back down here, experiment with walking in that costume, moving in that costume, working in that costume, giving drishti through that costume. And the degrees will continue to increase all the time.

Q: My day begins with God and my day ends with God. But why do I get lost in between?

A: Because I let the 'I' come in like Baba said. As soon as there is "I' and 'my' and 'mine'. There's an invitation: the door is open, and maya's going to walk straight through. And so begin with God but also through the class, the teacher whoever is the instrument, but it's actually Baba's murli so keep that in your consciousness through the day. Keep Karankaranvanhar in your consciousness. Keep your costume of light with yourself. So practice the things that Baba talks about in this murli. And you'll feel that yes at the end of the day you're able to sleep in God's lap.

Q: If there is a feeling of loss in a relationship towards someone, could that be considered as impurity as well? I guess that's attachment isn't it?

A: I was going to say it's attachment, but also it's causing me sorrow. So do I want to carry sorrow? Sorrow is impurity because if I'm experiencing sorrow today then I'm going to definitely give sorrow to someone or another even if I can't give sorrow back to that individual. But the sorrow that I'm carrying it's going to push me into making nasty comments to somebody or being bossy with somebody. The sorrow that I carry is the great trigger to give sorrow and that's impurity.

Q: If we did leave gyan for some time are we damned?

A: I've seen a few souls who've come back and have been very honest about what's happened to them in the past. And they've made an effort with sincerity and they've been able to move forward. And so I think Baba keeps a door open always. At the very end what can you do? But certainly, as of now the door is still open.

Q: We're going to put up a picture. At that time, it felt like a drone had taken this picture. Are you returning from London service? Would you like to give a little background to this?

A: You know there was even today in Pandav Bhawan there are the terraces on top of where Nirwair's bhai's office is and all the other places. So a lot of people used to capture photographs from those terraces and I think this must have been that particular moment. I don't remember which trip it is that I was actually coming back from but when I do see this picture I just see the love that Dadiji had and the amazing experience of being surrounded by love. So, I really don't remember which specific situation it was.

Q: Would you like to tell us one or two stories about Dadi Kumarka and then at the end we just have a one minute clip about Dadi we'd like to show.

A: Okay I won't tell you all the usual stories that you all have heard many times about Dadi's amazing qualities and we've had a list of them, 25 of Dadi's specialities and I'm sure everybody's been reading those, they're very, very special. But one particular scene that I'll never forget. We were in Montreal. And it was Dadi, and Mohini behn, little Mohini and myself and there was another sister who was at the centre. But the main sister, it was a sister at that time in charge of Montreal centre, she had gone across to prepare the hall. Of course, they always had public events in public places because the centres were too small. And so she'd gone across to prepare and it was going to be a grand program and she was going to be occupied basically the whole day. And I'd been translating and speaking and it had been going on non stop. So, the other sister who was at the centre with us wasn't a resident but she was there just to help us or whatever. So Dadi said to all of us why we don't all just rest this morning. There's going to be another big program later on and it's going to be very busy, so let's all just rest. And so we were very happy to hear Dadi's suggestion except that when I got up about an hour later, I went to Dadi and Mohini's room and they weren't there. So then, I'm hearing a few noises in the kitchen. So I went into the kitchen and it was an amazing sight. There's the table and on the table there's a chair and on the chair is Dadi. Dadi is getting a big canister of something from one of the top shelves and Mohini is holding the chair and looking up at her because Mohini couldn't have been able to climb onto the table, never mind the chair beyond that. Dadi's smiling and laughing and saying to Mohini, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay. And I can't believe that I'm seeing this sight and it was on the one side it was scary and on the other side very, very funny. Dadi sees my face and begins to laugh at my face. And anyway, she managed to get a canister down. And it was a centre where of course, they didn't just used to make chapatis or anything.

So somebody must have told them that that's got flour in it. And so the flour finally came down and then Mohini behn made the chapatis and we made some sabji and offered, and that was a very, very interesting sweet scene in the drama. So Dadi went out of her way to do all of that. So Dadi must have been definitely in her 60's by then, if not her 70's but it was a very sweet and also a very funny scene. Dadi and Mohini had decided that they couldn't rest and so they went off into the kitchen on this expedition to do all of this. So that was a very sweet scene. Another time, and this was in Madhuban, and this would have been '83, '82, '83 around that time in 1983 Om Shanti Bhawan was open. And Dadi was sitting in that front patch of the garden, in the front of the courtyard. And so you could look into that little space of garden from the courtyard. And so Dadi's sitting there having her meetings, it's cold and so it's winter time so she's enjoying the sunshine. And, I'm in the courtyard and a sister comes and speaks to me and what she's saying to me is that there's a group that's come from Poland and she was the NC Sr Helena. And she tells me that she thinks that in this large group that have come from Poland and it was one of the first groups that came from the communist part of the world to Madhuban. So she said that, I think one of them is a government spy and he's been sent to check things out. And I said, okay, her concern was should we challenge him and send him away. What should we do? And I said okay let's go to Dadi? So I explained to Dadi the situation in Poland which was an emergency and we weren't really supposed to be having spiritual classes and things like this going on. But all of that of course had happened. So a large group and this one individual who Sr Helena thought was not quite okay. And, so we tell Dadi and Dadi says, let him enjoy Madhuban. Why should you think of sending him away? He's here. Let him take benefit. And who knows? Maybe he's Baba's child and whatever he does for the government that's his business. But he's here as Baba's child. It was such a sweet answer. And it comforted our hearts totally. Because like, Dadi took responsibility. He's God's child. Let him take what he needs from Madhuban. We don't need to do anything. And of course then it probably was true that he was a spy. But what would he have found? He would have found peace, love and Baba's thoughts. And I don't know what he would've made of the murli. But anyway, it's true enough that the group benefited. They went back and they never saw him again. So that's what makes me feel that she was probably correct. That this is who he was but it worked out fine. So, Dadi's perfect answers are absolutely just concerned for the benefit of that soul. Let him take benefit and enjoy Baba.

Beautiful memories…
