Sudesh Didi's Class – 5th December 2021 GCH, London-The Meaning of Being All-Virtuous

8 December 2021

Om shanti. Om shanti. Good morning. Golden morning.

Every morning, Baba showers blessings upon us with powerful drishti, love and deep feelings. It is amazing that He Himself comes to experience His children. We have always thought that bhagat or devotees have the desire to experience God, or they want to have a vision of deities. The devotees go to different places to have darshan or a vision, a glimpse of their beauty, their divinity, and they ask for special power from them. It's amazing to see how much great joy and happiness are in us. Our fortune is that God Himself comes to have darshan of His children. He comes to see His children; He comes to have a vision of divinity of us, upon which He Himself has bestowed. He wants to experience the fragrance of the flowers of spirituality, which He Himself waters every day with His water of love, His water of special power of future vision and present experiences. And so, this great joy creates supersensuous joy in us.

How fortunate are we? Up to now, we have been singing the praise of God. And now, God sings the praise of His children and we say to Baba, “It is Your praise. You are making us knowledgeable, sensible, spiritual, spiritually strong and divine.” And then Baba says, “Yes. I want to see you full. I want to see you in the perfect vision that I have.” And this is why He reminds us again and again, what we have to become. Of course, for so many years, Baba is watering us, showering upon us his love in the form of knowledge.

In the packet of knowledge, He distributes the jewels of knowledge, and in that knowledge, He gives a very powerful mirror. Because knowledge is light and knowledge is also the mirror that opens our divine insight, our third eye, divine intellect. With that, we are able to have our vision. But sometimes, we are not experiencing; we are not able to see what is missing in us. Like little children, we are happy with small temporary achievements, but Baba is not satisfied with them. He wants to see us full. This is why He says, “I have come to make you all-virtuous, completely viceless, doubly non-violent, hundred percent pure. The praise of Shri Krishna, Baba used to say to put that it needed to be written right under the picture of Shri Krishna, all-virtuous, completely viceless, 16 celestial degrees complete, doubly non-violent. Non-violence is the religion of divinity. He is making us divine human beings. And this is why the foundation of that is becoming the embodiment of divine virtues.

The source of divine virtues is the mantra of Om Shanti; is the mantra of Manmanabhav; is the mantra of hum so, so, hum. The intoxication of I am the child of God, God is actually giving me the almighty authority, giving me this might, light and insight to become, first, Brahmin, and then from a Brahmin to an angel, and from an angel to become a deity. And so, we need to make honest effort.

Of course, we are happy that we are receiving and progressing. But when we look at ourselves, we see that there are certain aspects which, though we are listening to again and again, we wonder why it is taking so long time to transform ourselves. Perfect knowledge, perfect love, all blessings from Baba; His vision is completely focused on us. After all this sustenance from Baba, sustenance from the Dadis, constant sustenance from the yagya, from the entire unlimited family; as the means are perfect, yet, what does it take for us to become complete?

Baba says that if you have all the facilities but if you do not know how to use them or you do not use them at the right time, you will not get success. Give a simple example, we have a best quality soap (laundry detergent), but if we do not use it to wash our clothes. No matter how much soap there is, the clothes will not be clean. And if we do not know the method, and if we just put the soap dry on the clothes without water, or without spinning it, it will not work. The method is also needed; a clear understanding is needed. So, that is vidhi, which means method, or yukti.

The most important aspect in simple words is to use this knowledge, practise it, apply it on our own selves. As we apply it on ourselves over and over again, of course, as Baba says, at first, your own weaknesses and vices might erupt more. But it is just like when using soap of good quality. As soon as you put a piece of clothing to it, the dirt will come onto the surface. In the same way, when we come in the beginning, we feel very happy and we see that we are progressing. After some time, we notice that contentment is becoming less. Then, Baba gives the method again, “Check what it is missing in you.” And when we are able to become a detached observer of ourselves and check to see if I am seated on my soul-conscious state of om shanti, the eternal and immortal soul seated on the immortal throne, and if I'm making effort in soul consciousness, totally detached from the consciousness of the body, deh bhan, the awareness of the body, young or old, or deh abhiman, body consciousness or ego. With honesty, we are able to see ourselves and then with honesty, it is said God is pleased with an honest heart. Baba always accepts the fact that we are taking so much time, and says, “Children, have patience, have patience.” He doesn't want us to be disheartened, He says, “Have patience, have patience,” but at the same time, be mature, be sincere.

With sincerity, maturity and honesty, check yourselves and you will see that how transformation is taking place. Honest checking pleases God and then He blesses us and gives us more and more power when He sees that whatever we have achieved, we are able to share it with others. This is why He wants us to check our own qualities: Am I content with my own effort? Am I happy with my own self or are others content with me?

Contentment is the most valuable treasure, very powerful wealth. Baba is pleased with me; the family is pleased with me. So, Baba is making us full and we also want to make ourselves full. Happiness actually is the result of contentment. Discontentment means that the contentment, which Baba gives us, is missing.

We need to have a very pure heart; good wishes and pure feelings for my own self and attention on myself. Then naturally, there is patience. Attention and checking are both taking place. And like a gardener who sees that things are growing slowly, but doesn't stop making effort. The gardener knows that patience is needed, but he doesn't become careless. He pays constant attention. Baba is also telling you to see if you are happy with your own self in your effort. Are others also happy with you or are you happy with your service or content with yourself?

What is the reason for not becoming virtuous, when Baba is saying, “I have come to make you all-virtuous.”? What is the meaning of being all-virtuous? Is that the list of 36 qualities or 56 qualities or 108 qualities? No, it's not. It is to do with the unlimited consciousness of picking up virtues from everyone. All-virtues means that in every situation when coming into contact with everyone, with people, with nature or even challenges created by others, facing difficulties, at that time, Mother drama is teaching me that benevolence is filled within it. With this consciousness of picking up virtues, you can see the example of Brahma Baba, who was always praised and remembered as gunuthata rei means, the one who picks up virtues from everyone and makes every situation very positive, making into spiritual and connecting it with self.

For example, in Baba’s Murli, the example of a snake. The snake leaves its dry skin behind and moves on. And Baba says, “Become detached from body consciousness, slips away from this external dry consciousness of the body. And it is an example of the tortoise; withdraw yourself introspection, we saw how Baba, in every little thing, there are many examples of lokik worldly things, changing into alokik. In the same way, when we are learning to pick up virtues from everyone, it means that the power of the virtues, not only just that my own virtue will multiply, but the virtues of others will also become a power in me. I have two spoons of sugar sweetness in my glass and then others’ sugar becomes an addition. So, when I am picking up the speciality, and am appreciating the virtues of others, it is multiplying in me, and Baba is also pleased. The person who is virtuous, and has the desire to pick up virtues from others will have the natural qualities of sharing the qualities with others and also have a very generous quality of appreciating the speciality of others.

Appreciation is the first step to picking up virtues from others because you like it and you appreciate it. With the example of Shir Krishna stealing butter, in fact, the word sovereignty, we attain it by stealing the virtues of everyone, not by copying them. This is the difference between copying anyone and having a very deep feeling of appreciation. We are able to bring it in ourselves with this appreciation and picking up virtues. The seed that we took from others, with the water of appreciation brings happiness and incognito blessings automatically. And then you become a tree, full of all fruits and flowers. As Baba says the tree is able to give coolness and is able to give fruit, so that one has the coolness to tolerate the heat of the sun, but that is also giving him power, while he is giving others coolness in the shade. Those who sit under this tree admire it. So it is receiving and giving, it's a balance. When we have this balance to receive from Baba, to receive from the seniors and to receive from each other. Balance is on the one side you're receiving, and on the other side you're giving. There is no struggle anymore. This is why Shri Lakshmiji has no weapons, no ornaments at all. No neither Swadarshan chakra, nor mace, nor any kind of other ornaments. Lotus-like, there is no fight anymore, because it is the power of blessings and virtues that automatically enable detachment, but at the same time becoming all virtuous. Being all virtuous helps us face the negativity of others. Your coolness in nature, your appreciation, automatically override the shortcomings of the other person, and you immediately appreciate the speciality. It is not a competition, not a question of comparison. This is a difference between filling myself with virtues with the intention of competition or comparison, or with an inferiority complex or showing my qualities with a superiority complex. This body consciousness actually does not allow us to appreciate the speciality of others. You are growing very well. It is just like a fruit which is very sweet, with a small insect spoiling the fruit. The worm gets in, and you cannot eat that fruit. You have to throw even the mango away no matter how sweet it is. And suddenly you see that there is a worm, would you like to continue to eat it? You will throw it away.

Jealousy instantly takes away all your other qualities. And this is why, where there is jealousy, if there is competition, if there is comparison, criticism, we are not able to become virtuous. So all-virtuous, makes us viceless. And because the virtue of soul consciousness, the virtue of divinity and purity within our own self, we are able to face any situation.

When in service with others, don't become depressed or disheartened. One becomes disheartened because they do not appreciate their own fortune. We know this world is a variety, and each seed has its own speciality. Each plant has its own flower and fragrance and colour. There's no competition. This variety itself becomes a bouquet which we appreciate. Even the leaves are supporting the flowers. If there are only flowers, the bouquet will not be so beautiful. Even the thorns are to be appreciated because they also are used in some way. A needle is very sharp. But it has value only when the eye is clean. And you can put the thread through it. Even one quality is good because it is sharp, but it is making the garden and it is connecting with other flowers. So, when, when qualities are there, and when our vision is clean and pure, we are able to keep everyone together. All-virtuous, completely viceless has the power to keep the self cool and use the quality to protect the self against the negativity of others. Then with yoga power, good wishes, pure feelings, appreciation of each one being special, you accept others, and this acceptance also becomes respect. It makes you powerful.

Acceptance means that whatever anyone has value. Every child of Baba is special because God has selected them and the selection of God is not ordinary; it would be special. This is why Baba says that even the last person in the rosary 16,108, 900,000, each soul, even the subjects of the subjects, the servants of the servants in the golden age, has speciality. So, with Godly vision, our vision becomes divine, spirituality becomes a reality in our lives. This power is then able to transform others as we transform ourselves. Then naturally, this power is able to make us completely viceless.

Baba reminded us where these powers are coming from. It is Godly, Almighty Authority. The authority of the Almighty is helping you to have the authority of the mind, intellect and sanskaras of creating harmony, harmony within yourself and harmony with others. This is an important aspect of service that enables us to face our own sanskaras and also face and accept the sanskaras others, because service is the challenge. There will be conflicting sanskaras, but the power of becoming detached and being a well-wisher for everyone, together with Baba’s trust in every one of us souls, then, eventually everyone will be transformed because all of us are the children of the Golden Age, the children of the Almighty going into the Golden Age. And so, this is why golden sanskaras of cheerfulness is sampaanda, it means the soul is able to make itself complete. Only when one becomes all virtuous in everything, with neither ego, nor jealousy, nor rejection. Acceptance is the main aspect. And Baba is talking about sampaanda and sampoorna, then we are able to maintain this permanent happiness, not temporary happiness, not limited happiness, but unlimited happiness. And today's Murli is also being cheerful. But we need to be careful at the same time that we don't lose our attention and care to transform ourselves. And Baba is pleased because we are giving our qualities to others, giving happiness to others. Happiness is best nourishment of all, nurturing ourselves with happiness, and nurturing others with all happiness.

All virtuous, completely viceless are the powers from Baba. Godly power, Brahmin powers and divine powers: Godly powers of knowledge, purity peace, love and happiness; Brahman powers: eight powers such as the power to withdraw, the power to face, the power to tolerate, the power to appreciate, the power to cooperate. So, these powers Brahmin powers, with yoga power, are making us viceless. And naturally, when we are staying happy, creating our fortune, appreciating our fortune, wah my fortune, wah. Great soul and great time at the Confluence Age. It is the time of remaining not only happy but experiencing supersensuous joy. Cheerful always, but without spending anything. The best thing is no expense at all. No expense at all because all the time, Baba is showering upon us, we are receiving the gifts from others in the form of good wishes and pure feelings. So, the deities give, but in fact, they are giving at a time when they are not aware that they are giving. The deity statue does not know it is giving. That devotees feel that the statues are bestowing. When we reach that level, souls are receiving power, Baba is using us as instruments. And the ‘I’ and ‘my’ ego consciousness does not exist. And that's why all virtuous, completely viceless. This is what Baba means by after becoming all virtuous and viceless, we will become egoless. There will be no ego, no depression, no disheartenment, but the great intoxication and respect that every scene has a wonderful meaning.

As time is giving me the signal that I should finish my conversation with you. It is my expression of how fortunate, how lucky we are, at the Confluence Age. The heart keeps singing how lucky I am, how happy I am, and how happy all of us are. Baba is happy with us. We are happy with each other. And we are happy with ourselves. Because drama is benevolent. It is entertaining. It is also training us and it is also revealing the secrets of this unlimited play. Om shanti.

I would like to say thanks to all. Yesterday Jayanti bhen shared with you the information about next week on 13th, I am taking my vehicle, my body, for repair in a garage; I am taking my costume to a restoration tailoring company. All expert tailors and mechanics; the doctors are very good. They make the body very powerful. And God is the One who is making the soul powerful. I have received many blessings. Many good wishes are coming from Ratanmohini Dadi; very very special blessings from Nirwair bhai and Nirmala Didi. Wonderful blessings from different places in India and from Europe and abroad. I cannot write thank you to everyone. My heart is saying thank you. Your good wishes and your love, it feels like the river of love and good wishes is becoming an ocean. And I'm already swimming in this ocean of good wishes and love. Good wishes always do wonders. Blessings always have power. Thank you for the good wishes and blessings from everyone.

Om shanti. Om shanti. Om shanti.

Sister Jayanti – 28th November, 2021, am – GCH, London This is the time to focus on the unlimited fortune of soul consciousness and know God and His treasures….

28 November 2021

Om Shanti. Good morning.

Baba has spoken very beautifully about how He doesn’t just give us or send us love and remembrances every day, but He personally comes to give us love and remembrance every day.  For me, thinking about what is the biggest gift and greatest fortune Baba has given me: it’s the fortune of self-realisation.  To be able to know myself.  This didn’t happen in a flash.  Yes, at least the first step was I knew I was a soul and experiencing being a soul, and I was flying in this.  But understanding all the layers that exist within the soul took many years.  However last go fast, so maybe those who have recently come to Baba can unlock all the secrets quickly, and can go right to the very depths of the soul.  Understanding the soul really meant that it became very easy to experience detachment.

On one side is what is the greatest fortune, and on the other side, what is the greatest renunciation?  Pause for a moment and reflect on this.  Baba gave a simple answer today and said today renouncing body consciousness.  The ego of the body.  That one aspect is all encompassing.  When we renounce body consciousness, we renounce ego and everything connected with the body…basically the whole world.  Baba makes it sound simple, but in that one thing, is everything.  Letting go of the ego of ‘I’ and all the relations connected with this, the position, possessions, prestige.  Letting go of all of that and experiencing more and more the beauty of soul consciousness and the treasures that Baba is filling the soul with.  It is easy, we need to do it, as no one can do this for us.  It is a daily practise, and not even that.  Yes at the beginning of the day we underline it for ourselves. Then through the day we need to keep checking ‘where am I’…in soul consciousness, or in body consciousness?

Just as there are many signs of yoga and the milestones of yoga have been talked of often.  How do we know how far yoga is working, and to what extent am I developing the power of yoga, as there are different stages?   In the same way to what extent do I know that I am dealing with the ego of the consciousness of the body.  Where there is the stage of self-respect, and one of the manifestations of this is that I really don’t need anything from another human being.  This doesn’t deny the responsibility where I give, take and exchange on the external level.  But this is where the soul feels ‘needy’. And this is expressed in so many ways… I ‘need’ people’s respect and attention:  I need to be needed!  Different things come in to show us to what extent we have been able to let go of the ego of the body and just develop that inner stage of soul consciousness in which there is inner contentment.

I often notice within Baba’s Murlis, Sakar and Avyakt, that He focuses a lot on this one virtue of contentment.  Where there is discontent there isn’t soul consciousness.  In soul consciousness and the realisation of the self, what is there that I need for the soul? The needs of the body will be fulfilled if I am honest and do the work I need to do.  It will happen and I will not starve.  But the neediness that comes in the soul, that I feel no one is caring for me, or looking after me, and many other concerns come.  To be able to feel the contentment that I belong to Baba, and Baba belongs to me.  Experiencing the connection with The Source, the One who is unlimited and I can take whatever I need from Him.  Then we don’t feel any ‘neediness’ for anything else at that point.

Baba talks about self-respect in order to give respect and He goes into a lot of detail.  When we have natural awareness of self-respect, even when someone is your ‘enemy’, who is defaming you; from your side you will still be able to give respect to them.  This is because it is who you are, and it is not about what they are doing or not doing.  It is natural.    We need to get to that stage when we are not influenced or affected by what is going on around me.   Whether others can give or not give is secondary.  Who and where am I?  Am I seated on the ‘throne’ of self-respect in the forehead?  Baba has spoken about being a ‘trustee’.  Where we let go of the consciousness of ‘I’ and ‘my’ and realise Baba is in charge.  Baba has used an interesting expression, connected with the stage of soul consciousness.  In soul consciousness, who am I, who do I belong to, and who can truly belong to me?  Any relationship with any human being is going to be temporary.  It is only a short span of life, even if it is ‘til death do us part’. This is not a reality anymore as it becomes a fluctuating situation where we do not know where we will be today or tomorrow.  It is only with Baba that I have an ‘eternal’ relationship.  The eternal relationship with all others is soul to soul, brother to brother, we are all members of one family.  No other relationship is consistent.  Being bodiless in the stage of soul consciousness I know that nothing belongs to me.  What did I bring and what will I take away?  I brought my sanskars and yes, I will take gyan and yoga and the powers that Baba is giving me, but everything else is left behind.  Baba says when we are experimenting with the bodiless stage, it is very much connected with the realisation of the soul and self-realisation.  ‘God belongs to me’ would shock people out there.  But in the consciousness that Baba is teaching me, yes God belongs to us, and He is our everything.  This is the stage of ‘nothing is mine, and everything is Baba’s.  The burden of possession is removed, whether people or things.  If I say anything is ‘mine’, there will be heaviness. As we are attached, and we have to let go.  If they are holding onto me, I will find out and understand what I need to do.  But as soon as I say ‘I and mine’, there is a heaviness.  Where I am able to say ‘Everything and everyone is Yours’ then in this stage there is lightness.  Look back on your experience.  When we are heavy about a task or people, it all becomes a big deal and I don’t want to do it.   If I am light, I am able to be ‘up above’ and none of those things bother me.  The work comes and it will get done with cooperation from everyone and many will come to help and support me.  If I am heavy, everyone will run in the opposite direction.  Baba says when there is heaviness there is always some loss of cooperation, happiness, joy and ability to think clearly.  As thoughts are going around and I cannot make the right decision...then further loss and heaviness.  I need to ask myself: what is going on? instead of pointing a finger outwards.  When I ask the self this question I will realise that I have forgotten about soul consciousness and have forgotten the attention to introversion and got caught up in extraversion and all the things out there.  With soul consciousness there is lightness…everything is possible. Nothing is impossible.  It is all ok and going to be ok.  The right souls will turn up at the right time and things will move forward.

The detail of soul consciousness is incredible and the more I practise the more power I get from it.  Not just to reflect on it.  Baba was saying yesterday about churning and how the cow needs to chew the cud and does this all day and if it isn’t doing that there is the knowledge that there is something wrong with it. What is going on in my mind?  Am I ‘chewing’ Baba’s knowledge and through that extracting the experience, strength and essence of it so I get the power? Or is it that I hear, love and enjoy Baba’s Murli, but then I get so engaged with everything else around me and that’s it, it goes to one side.  The more I reflect on the subject of soul consciousness the more I am able to see its value and benefit, then the more I will practise.   Baba uses an interesting expression connected to practising, my dharna.  This is related to ‘dharma’: religion or way of living.  Dharma is righteousness, the path that I follow.

Baba says ‘Why is there conflict today?’ From self, to family, community and highest level of government.   Because two things have got divided.  Dharma…the power of religion or power of Dharna, behaviour, the power of governance.  What is my dharna and dharma?  When I understand and start to live these, then the self-sovereignty I have functions.  When I am soul consciousness, my dharma is peace.  When I am soul conscious I am in charge of whatever is going on inside, a self-sovereign.  Then governance of the self, with mind, intellect and sanskaras and my ‘dharma’ are functioning together.  This is the way of Satyug.    From the Copper Age onwards the division first started inside.  I forgot about the real ‘deity’ dharma.  I got first into Hindu dharma and then maybe other dharmas.  I forgot that my ‘dharna’ is soul consciousness and then is peace and ‘om shanti’, then I lost the power to rule the self.  The mind then went astray.  Baba says that the intellect goes everywhere when there isn’t soul consciousness and the mind is scattered.  Do we agree, pre and post gyan!  Have you had this experience?

The one way to recognise soul consciousness in the self…am I content and fulfilled, or do I ‘need’ anything from anyone?  The second sign of consciousness is, is my intellect stable or scattered?  If it is scattered, I am not able to do anything successfully as I cannot give it proper attention.  From the Copper Age to the end of Kaliyug, nevermind children not having concentration capacity, everyone doesn’t have this capacity.  In soul consciousness the intellect is stable and not scattered.  Experiment and pause for a moment.  We generally think of course I am Baba’s child, and soul conscious.  Yet the reality check is ‘where is my intellect?’.  Am I focused and doing what I need to do? Part of the focus is being present. Baba says be ‘trikaldarshi’ and being present is very much connected with being ‘trikaldarshi’.  If the mind is occupied with the things of the past, I am not in the present and the past is colouring and influencing me, so I don’t see what I need to do.   But the stage that Baba is talking about is being present, and I am seeing what I need to do at this moment due to the experience from what I know of myself, due to the past.  I know certain people and situations can be a trigger and due to being aware of that now, I can get in charge of the self, be soul conscious, and the self-sovereign in the moment.    If I don’t I know the future will be more complicated as I have reacted.  We need to be in the present and ‘trikaldarshi’.  But what am I holding from the past?  Influences or ‘learnings’ – the experiences that I am carrying that will take me forward.

I create the stage where I am present, aware and alert and can recognise Maya from a distance, can see it coming, and yet can put a full stop and it has no impact on me.  Every Murli has many fantastic tools in which we can use to churn and discover more about the self and gyan.  The biggest gift, soul consciousness, and the biggest renunciation.  Baba uses the words ‘tyag’ and ‘bhagya’ – the fortune of self-realisation.   Just imagine we have lived so many lives without coming to the realisation of who we are and who is God!

What is the time we are going through?  The time of the highest fortune.  Sangamyug.  The fortune of soul consciousness and of knowing God, and all the unlimited treasures from God.  Marketing tricks use this phrase ‘there is a special offer this week’.  Truly, out of the whole cycle, the offer that God gives us at this moment, is an offer that is never going to repeated until next Kalpa.  The decision I make today will be the decision I make then also.!  Therefore, be alert and aware to what God is giving me in this period now.  The fortune of soul consciousness to know and accept God.  This is the key to be able to get to God.

In the early 50’s when doing service, Dadi Janki would say they would feel the pulse, and see what interests an individual.  Is it God or self-realisation? Then they would take it further.  When there is a question about God, then soul consciousness can help souls take it to the next step in understanding God.  Soul consciousness is a renunciation of all that we don’t like, it isn’t a sacrifice,a big deal. Baba has shown us and we are becoming free from what has caused problems and sorrow.  I am happy to let go of the consciousness of the body.  When I reflect on the beauty of soul consciousness and realise how much this awareness is able to give, there is the experience of liberation and liberation in life.  Mukti and Jeevanmukti. I am living in the same world as everyone else, but with no burdens or problems.  Many share how people see you at work and you are able to remain light and easy, although sharing the same workload as others…how come?  Because You are practising soul consciousness.  Today's Murli is so powerful so really go into the depths of soul consciousness and experience that all the treasures are available.

Sister Jayanti - Sunday 17th October 2021- Revision Avyakt Murli of 07.11.1989

23 November 2021

Om Shanti. The song was about God's love but also the murli was about God's love. The context is that the season had finished in March 88 and then we had that one extra murli in August 88 when Dadiji had called a group to come to Madhuban to discuss next steps for the Global Cooperation project. Then Baba didn’t come the rest of that season, the whole year. So now November 89 and Baba’s actually there in Madhuban meeting a big gathering. Everybody has wanted to come because of course they have been missing Baba and people from abroad have come from, people from Bharat have come, so the whole hall is packed. Baba is seeing everyone’s love and has a question. Is the fathers love for the children greater or is the children’s love for the father greater? And you could have a discussion about that, of course. Then Baba said how it’s God's love that is giving you a spiritual rebirth.

The spiritual love is that power which is able to pull mind, heart and body away from far away places to Madhuban, but also, it’s the meeting of the hearts, not just a meeting on the external physical level, but wherever Baba’s children are when they experience Baba’s pull, the love pulling them then they feel that connection of the heart with Baba. Baba gave a very lovely return of blessings for the children having made the effort to come to Madhuban from far distant corners. And not just abroad, but the journey from the eastern zone that can take up to 3 days, 4 days coming by train, because it’s partly including Nepal also. So, the Eastern zone including Nepal, a 3-4 days journey. Baba’s saying that all of you have come from so far away, but Baba has come from very far away, and within that, what return can Baba give all of you? Baba’s giving blessings; blessings to have the fortune of happiness, blessings to be happy, blessings to be able to have the nourishment of happiness, to give you good health, a treasure store that’s completely full of happiness. Interestingly, Baba spoke about happiness in all these four different ways. Baba’s giving us those blessings. And Baba also said how we are receiving three types of sustenance through the three different relationships we have with Baba. One is the sustenance we have through belonging to the Father, the pure love, the sustenance of the Teacher, and the study is very simple, just remember two words. Remember the One, and remember the inheritance that He gives you; Manmanabhav, focus your mind on One, and Madhyajibhav, focus your mind on the inheritance, the aim and object, the one in the middle. So, Baba’s saying, that’s very simple. Then the blessings you receive from the Satguru are also very easy to imbibe. But then sometimes what happens is that we have a habit of allowing a weakness to persist and one of the habits is that we tend to forget, and we tend to make easy things become difficult, does that sound a little bit familiar? So, this habit of complicating things, making easy things become very difficult kicks in, and although Baba’s love for all is the same, the sustenance for all is the same, yet the difference comes in because when we forget, because it’s a habit to forget. Then in that forgetting we lose that awareness, we forget and then we are not able to imbibe whatever Baba is giving us and in that lack of inculcation, the soul feels empty and then there’s external influences that come on the soul. The soul gets pulled down. There is a very interesting sequence that Baba described, having been pulled down then everything feels very difficult, and this is something that Baba then feels a lot of compassion, a lot of mercy. Love and blessings are something else, but mercy, Baba feeling mercy for me, now that’s not such a good stage to be in.

Baba’s seeing that I have weaknesses that I’m not dealing with, and so Baba’s heart goes out to me because whenever there’s a weakness in the family you feel that it’s your own, but if it’s a senior in the family, and Baba’s the Unlimited Senior, so when there is that sense that there’s weakness somewhere, then Baba feels it’s his own weakness. Baba feels compassion and wants to help the child. Baba doesn’t want the child to have to labor. And so Baba’s reminding us, just stay in the awareness of these three relationships and take the sustenance that each one of the three relationships is offering you, the Father, the Teacher, the Satguru, and everything will be fine. It will be very, very easy, and so not to make it difficult for ourselves. When you feel everything is fine and easy, then what you will also find is that the time, the facilities, the circumstances, the support of the family, everything becomes available and carry’s you forward and makes things even easier. But if you're still in the habit of forgetting again and again then those weaknesses stay within the soul, and even something which is very tiny; there is something missing in terms of the circumstances, they’re not as I want them to be. There's something missing in terms of the facilities being offered or the support of the family, and at that time things get very heavy, and that’s when Baba feels mercy. So, Baba is saying make it easy on yourself. But also look at your lifeline, your horoscope, how things have been for you. Have they been easy or have they been difficult? If they have been difficult this is the reason why. Baba gave the example of how, even if there is something that’s a minor difficulty, not a major thing at all, but a minor difficulty, that brings that stage where the Maharati, the elephant rider gets very upset and as a result of that upset, really falls down in a big way, and so Baba doesn’t want to see that happen. The example that Baba’s giving is the elephant, and if you think about the elephant’s trunk, it would be so easy for a tiny ant to crawl into the elephant’s trunk, but how is the elephant going to get rid of it? So the elephant is actually very afraid of ants. Or if the ant goes into the ear of the elephant, it is very painful and so he can flap and flap and flap, but the ant isn’t going to budge. So, Baba’s saying don’t let this happen to you. Little things, see them in that way without allowing them to impact you and your stage, and stay up above all those things so that then you can experience the joy of the Confluence Age instead of allowing little things to bring you down to your knees, and you lose that experience of the joy of Sangamyug.

Baba’s come after a long time, and so groups have come. A small number have been invited from all the main regions of India. And Baba takes on a very interesting role now. Baba’s the poet and the verse of poetry is in the Hindi language. Baba’s picking up on many different aspects of the different groups that have come to Baba and the one thing that wasn’t so much poetry but the culture there; Tamil Nadu, a group from South India and their very special quality is their bhavna, their love for God. Because of that bhavna, a very simple lifestyle. Even for powerful individuals who hold high positions, that bhavana, that love. Baba’s saying this is actually a gift from Baba: you're experiencing love, you can experience love carrying you up, so don’t let yourself walk, don’t let yourself climb the stairs, but just experience that love. That will help you experience the lift, and you will be able to rise upwards very fast. And so Tamil Nadu got the gift of the lift of love. Then Baba spoke to Mysore, very nearby. Mysore; the name of the city and the name of the state is Karnataka, but Baba was using this term mausam, (season). When you eat a fruit that is in season it has a natural sweetness and that if you have a fruit that’s been nurtured in a greenhouse it will never have the same sweetness as the sun ripened fruit. So, to eat the fruit of the season, it’s Sangamyug, and Sangamyug is going to be able to give you immediate experience of results with a little tiny bit of effort. So, Baba is saying that this is the gift for Mysore. Experience the season's blessings, Sangamyug’s blessings of immediate fruit for any task that you perform. A little bit of action, good action, and huge results coming from that. Baba talked to the Eastern zone, and Sakar Baba had a special affinity with the Eastern zone, Calcutta and that whole area. Within that, Baba saying that the sun rises in the east, and so the memorial of the sun and each one of you like the sunflowers. They see the sun, and even the formation of that flower, all those rays, there are not big petals, there are little petals, but they come out in rays from the center and in straight lines. So it is a symbol of the sun radiating light everywhere, bringing light where there is darkness and the memory of Sakar baba and how Baba actually had visions, and so the sun of knowledge came in the east. In the Eastern zone, in that area. And then Baba talking to Benares, and Baba playing with them also. Ras; juice, sweetness, taste. Baba was saying to let all of you allow others to experience the sweetness of God’s love and when you do that, then yes they will begin to experience God’s love and you're experiencing it already, but don’t let anyone go by without offering them the taste of the experience of God’s love. And Baba gave them a toli, not just a flower but the gift of a toli, rasgulla and those who experience rasgula know they’re very delicious. It’s a white spongy pudding, very soft, in syrup. It’s a milk dessert, I don’t know if you can make it out of vegan ingredients, but I am sure somebody is clever enough to try. Baba was saying this is the gift for you. So let there be sweetness in your mind, sweetness on your lips through the day and if you begin the morning with amrit vela with the experience of God’s love and sweetness, then that’s going to carry on. A mountainous region Kuliami, this is where there’s temples to the goddesses, and so Baba says don’t just think about the goddesses but think about the divine virtues of the goddesses, of the deities. When you fill yourself with the fragrance of all the divine virtues then you're very close to God and through you others will be able to experience the meeting of souls with the Supreme, and so fill yourself with those divine virtues now. So for every single place; Bombay and the translation that has been put in the murli and it’s a very difficult concept to translate, being wealthy, one who is filled with wealth, but Baba used to use it in the context of the son who earns and creates wealth, and so Bombay, it’s got the spiritual significance and the physical significance also. Baba says how God is the one who gives to the poor to make them wealthy. He is called the Lord of the Poor and all of you are God’s companions in this. The ones who share the wealth of the treasures of knowledge with all others, so that they may become wealthy also. So, join the Lord of the Poor, be companions so that you can also serve ones who are bereft of spirituality. Out of all the places in Bharat, Bombay is considered to be the one that’s got the most maya. The one that has the most distractions in many many different ways. Spiritually bereft, spiritually bankrupt, and so give all souls this ability to understand that God can give them the wealth of knowledge.

Then, a very interesting session with the people who had come for the meeting because the launch of Global Cooperation had happened and a whole year had passed and we were preparing now for the next year, February, when we were going to be actually bringing all our international patrons together in Madhuban. It was the first time that people of that calibre were coming to Madhuban, so it needed quite a lot of discussion, quite a lot of planning and preparation. We were there in Madhuban to prepare for February. At this particular time Baba’s taken it in a completely spiritual context, nothing to do with the physical arrangements whatsoever and so you're talking about the seating, but that’s not important. Talk about how to enable souls to set their minds onto the right stage, and give them this experience that they carry away from that stage of experience. In Baba’s language now, Baba’s talking about setting each one on their seat for the Golden Age. Who are the ones who have the capacity to be rulers, who are the ones who have the possibility of being subjects, who are the ones who are going to be the servers? All categories need to be fixed. Baba used the analogy of how if human beings do something, it takes them a long time, but if you have a machine do the same task, maybe washing clothes for example, and the machine will do it without any labor on your part and do it very fast. So Baba’s saying that now use a fast machine to speed up this whole process of preparation for the Golden Age. The method, the device for that is your own highest stage of consciousness. If your efforts are fast and you reach that elevated stage then everything is going to work out very fast. Baba then talks to the double foreigners, giving a lot of love, but also Baba giving guidance. Yes, let the stage be one that is steady, stable, constant and set yourself on that seat, so that nothing brings you down.

So, a murli that was really a time for just everyone to experience love and Baba preparing us that now it was going to be no more personal meetings. Now it was going to be meetings with group’s, and it was a whole country meeting Baba. Baba taught us that now it’s a new season, it’s a new time, a new era and that was the beginning of that period. I ‘ll be interested to see all of the other murli’s that come up again now. I think many of you may have been around in 88-89, so you have those memories with you. So those are the things from this particular murli.

Q – Maybe we can take up this aspect of the horoscope of the soul? In physical terms we look at the planets, the timing, the alignment. What are we looking at in terms of soul? When Baba says “your horoscope” what does he mean, what is he looking at? When were you born?

J – Baba’s asking me to look at my own personal lifeline and within that I can see that there are times when it has been easy and there is the planet Jupiter that’s above me. There are times when it’s been difficult, and it’s another planet that’s above me, and sometimes it’s been really negativity on my own part, and it’s the planet of Saturn that’s come back again.  So, not so much the question of the planets in this sense, but my own life line. Let me track back that moment when I came to Baba, and the ingredients of that time that made everything very easy and natural. Or was it that when I started it felt difficult and gradually it became more natural and easier and easier? Or was it that at first it was like flying and then there came a period when there was maybe a little bit of stagnation, and maybe there was even a period when the soul took a dip and then had to make effort and come up again? Baba’s asking me to see what those periods were like? If I look at Dadi Prakashmani’s life line, I see that it’s been up and up and up, but also there were challenges that she had to face; whether from people, situations or health and that’s true for everybody, but she dealt with them with a very high stage of consciousness. Dadi Janki’s story, many are aware of, has lots of challenges with health issues. But again, through that period just keeping her faith consistent and just holding on to One. Not dependent on anyone or anything. Dadi Gulzar, again the same. Apart from that, I think most people have had blips in their lifeline. I know I have, and so what does it teach me now?  It teaches me that when things were going very well, it was because there was a very natural attention to consciousness. Baba spoke today about when things are going well; what you feel is that it’s attention but no tension about it, and you also feel that everything is supporting you and carrying you forward. If today by chance I’m not feeling that everything is easy and natural, and going forward in that way, can I identify what it is that is causing me to not find it easy?  What are the ingredients and factors that I can identify, and take Baba’s help, and deal with them, so that now in this final period I can again come back to that stage of just God’s love and enthusiasm and fly ahead?

Q - In terms of the lokik horoscopes, it’s like you cannot change those planets. It’s like you are submissive or subservient to those. In gyan we have the power, it’s not that we are being controlled, like in lokik you are being controlled. Is there an element of personal empowerment and personal control?

J – Absolutely. In the world out there, a pundit says to you: these are the planets, these are the configurations, the eclipses, these are the shadows that are on you. Usually what the pundit will also say is that if you give a donation, the eclipse will be removed. That’s a phrase they use to make the bad omens go away, the eclipses will be moved away. Here what Baba’s asking me to do is to donate my weaknesses, donate the vices and then also let me learn to share knowledge with others. So the donation of the jewels of knowledge is also extremely helpful in moving out from the eclipse. Yes, it’s my choice of what it is I want to do today, and which direction I want to move in today. Let me be able to see that, and take it up in that way.

Q – I would like to take up the question of how habits are created. There is a kind of a myth of these 21 days; 21 days is just for the habit to take shape, but they say that it takes like from 90 days to 250 days for it to be set in place. How are habits formed, and can they last?

J – The explanation that Baba has given us about the soul and also each one’s experience: the thought comes, I put it into action, and I’ve created the blueprint. The more I repeat it the stronger that imprint becomes until truly it’s part of my natural nature. Never mind very challenging habits like alcohol or drug abuse, things like this. A simple habit; you walk into a room, you're used to the light switch being in a certain place and your hand will move in that direction. Now you’re in a different room, a different place but your hand automatically goes to that place, and it takes you a while, you know your hand is reaching out and you are not finding the switch. Then you look and you realize of course that it’s not there, it’s somewhere else. Even such a simple thing. It’s like our body remembers that habit and the pattern becomes automatic and so in terms of the soul and the choices that we have, I have repeated an action once, twice, three times and that’s enough. And the three times and it’s now really instilled. You know the story of Oliver Twist, Charles Dickens, and at first, he is hesitant to steal, it’s bad, it’s not right. Second time, you know they take him out and they show him what they are doing, second time he begins to justify it. Well, you know they are actually giving the money to the poor who deserve it and these people we have taken from didn’t deserve it. The third time he’s justifying it, this is the right thing to do. I think about three times is enough to create a pattern, which then becomes a habit and any other addiction, whether it’s cigarettes or alcohol, or drugs, again, a few times and there’s a pattern that’s set. The longer I’ve had that habit the more difficult it is to break it.

When people come to Raja Yoga, what I have seen is that because they now have the power of yoga. They are practicing meditation, they are taking power from Baba, and that part of the soul which is the intellect, the buddhi, is also where my conscience lies. The thought comes, but my conscience is now strong, and the filter is now strong, and so I am resisting the thought, it doesn’t necessarily have to be put through into action. How quickly people give up cigarettes, how quickly do people give up drugs. We’ve all experienced it and seen it at our centres. The thing is that in that initial period there’s that intoxication of Baba’s knowledge, this beauty of experiences I am having and that’s making me very powerful. Now if I don’t sustain that enthusiasm for Baba’s knowledge and for yoga, all of this, then the habit, the pattern is still there. Not in an emerged form, but it’s there, depending on how long I’ve been caught up with that habit. But then think about habits like attachment, and attachment is a habit. Today I am attached to my teddy bear for example. I don’t want to let go and somehow, somewhere it gets lost. My attachment to it, I couldn’t deal with it, I couldn’t have said no, I’m going to let go, it’s lost, and so I’ve had to deal with it. But very quickly I will find a replacement. I’ll find a blanket, and that will be my comfort and I’ll keep holding on to that blanket. Until I realise and attachments to people are very challenging, but until I realise that this is my habit. My habit is to become attached to individuals and it's a neediness that I have. The habit is just going to get transferred from one to the next, it’s going to carry on the whole of my life. Until I understand that it’s not the object or the individual that is so amazingly wonderful, they might be but equally they might not, and the teddy bear isn’t so wonderful anyway, it’s a bit scruffy, but it was my comfort. We stay in that comfort zone and want to nourish ourselves within that comfort zone until we realise it’s a problem for me. I’m not always going to be with this individual, this individual isn’t always going to be available for me, and at that moment when I understand this, then I realise there is a neediness that I have. Can I replace that individual who is giving me support or that thing that was giving me comfort, with Baba? And Baba allows that possibility. Baba says transfer all your attachments to me and I will give you the experience of a Mother, a Father, a Friend, a Companion, a Beloved. Soul to soul from the Supreme Soul, I’m able to have this experience which fulfills my needs. And so I don’t need to be attached to anything, or anyone, or any place on an external level. And so the early habits that we have, the external substances, those are fairly easy to deal with. But the habits that we’ve had for half a cycle, for thousands of years, my ego, my greed, my anger maybe, spirituality helps me realise what’s going on.

Anger; my desire, for whatever it may be, for respect, for regard, for seniority, for position, but it’s not being met, it’s not being satisfied and this particular individual becomes the target, and so it’s easy for me to snap at that individual, rather than five others. When I am with somebody who I know is more powerful than me, I am very careful and I don’t react. But I am suppressing it because it’s my habit and the habit is working its way, and I am suppressing it and that’s not healthy either, but at least it’s not creating bad karma. In the other case where I think that somebody will tolerate it, or somebody is weaker than me or less than me in position and they have to tolerate it, I’ll absolutely explode. And so, I need to work on the external level that happens fairly fast. Actually If a person is consistent in their spiritual endeavor, attention to yoga, attention to spiritual study, then the old habits don’t come back. That’s been shown, they have done a lot of research on this in India within the medical wing of the Brahma Kumaris, and they have seen that it’s not a temporary change, it’s a long term change. With an alcoholic you can never say they are never going to take another drink again, they always say “I am a recovering alcoholic”, and so we won’t say that okay never, never, never, but certainly after many years we see that new patterns have been created and developed and the person is now a changed person. But in terms of the other deeper more significant things that really have caused the soul to come down the ladder, and those are the patterns and habits that I want to change today. I need to be very attentive to my instant responses because the immediate response is going to be the negative one. Where I have taken power from Baba and I am following Baba’s disciplines then a thought arises taking and I’ll take a pause and check, where is this thought leading me to? And I’ll take power from Baba, and I’ll stop that thought from coming through into action, and so that’s going to at least save me from creating more karma. I’m trying to settle the karma of the past with yoga, but at least this way I am not creating more karma. That pause that Baba has taught us, count to three. At least count five, if not ten, but take that moment to just have a very quick check of the self, what’s going to be the outcome if I allow myself to move in this direction?

Q – They also talk about having some reward. If you feel a sense of reward from that habit, then you are likely to continue with that habit and what I hear you saying is Baba is our reward?

J- The experience that you get from Baba. So, Baba of course is the Supreme but if I am feeling, say through letting go of attachment or anger, I am feeling Baba’s love reach me, I am connecting with Baba to have that experience, then that is the reward.

Q – So the motivation to change the habit is to be able to take more of Baba’s power?

J – Yes, and Baba’s love.

Q – So there’s something about the ego, and Baba said today, why do we make easy things difficult and isn’t that the ego? The ego has got accustomed to thinking it’s smart, trying to think it is cleverer than drama. There’s something about humility, and fast transformation, and ego and slow transformation.

J – Absolutely, and of course ego is the deepest habit that we have created. The sanskara that we’ve created for so long because when we first came into the Copper Age there was the loss of identity of soul and the connection. So, this sanskara of I is really the strongest sanskara of all of them. So to keep replacing that with soul consciousness and humility and that’s going to help me a lot.

Q – Is a “don’t care attitude”, a fine line between really not caring? On the one hand we shouldn’t care actually, but we should care, but we should also not care about not caring.  What’s the fine line as Baba was saying in the murli?

J – I want to explain the “don’t care” in the context that Baba’s saying it. On the one side everything is natural and easy in terms of shrimat, the instructions from God about how to live our life, and on the other side the ‘don’t care’ is about shrimat. You know, I don’t care about amrit vela, 4 o’clock it’s okay if I don’t get up, and so it’s a nice and easy life, I get up when I want and so on. Or food, ‘well so what if I have something cooked outside, not a problem, I don’t care it’s not going to harm me’. And so, Baba’s talking about the don’t care attitude in terms of Baba’s instructions for life, for my lifestyle. I think when I become careless about the disciplines that I need to observe, to be able to move forward on a spiritual level, that’s when the carelessness becomes dangerous, and actually makes me slip and come crashing down. So the care is being careful, I’m attentive to detail, but it’s not causing me a problem, it’s not creating tension. I pay attention to what I’m eating, what I’m drinking, what I’m doing, my timetable, my relationship with Baba, my relationship with others and of course don’t care about what happens to you and you're not going to care about what happens to me either. But if I’m caring today then tomorrow there will be others who will be able to care for me when I need help, and support and so on that level also “don’t care” is dangerous. Drama, and something’s gone wrong and I will say “well anyway it was drama, I don’t care”. But that is also going to become a habit. Make a mistake once, and realise and repent and change it and that’s progress. Make a mistake and say “I don’t care, doesn’t matter” and that mistake is going to create a new habit which is dangerous and those mistakes will multiply. Think that the fine line between care and don’t care in this particular case is Baba’s shrimat and my progress is through that.

Q – The soul is feeling like it doesn’t like going to the centre, it’s feeling disconnected from the yagya. They want to know how during these periods when they can’t go to the centre, or even when they do go the vibe is not high, so how to maintain a high connection with the yagya?

J – Instead of expecting things to come to me, can I reach out and do something for others? Here is somebody who isn’t smiling at me, can I smile at them and say “how are you doing, how was it for you during the pandemic”? It will break the ice and it will start communication. If my house is clean and everything else, let me bake a cake and take it to the centre. Rather than expecting them to do something for me, can I do something for them? Or if my house isn’t clean or I don’t know how to bake, it’s okay, get some fruits and take them to the centre and say, please this is for Baba and for all of you. Let me reach out and try and do something for them and try to come closer. If I keep waiting for the other side to do something, maybe they will, maybe they won’t, but who is going to be the loser, it will be me. And so can I reach out to them in some way and change the situation, and definitely even one person doing that is going to be changing the atmosphere, so that there is benefit for all, not just for that one individual, but for everyone.

Q – Attention without tension, a deeper explanation of that?

J – Sometimes people say to me; I am trying to be soul conscious, but it’s giving me a headache and so there is something not quite right in their trying. A very simple method is just that practice of “I the soul looking through these eyes, I the soul connecting with Baba, I the soul seeing the soul shining in the center of the forehead”, it is as simple as this. After some time, it becomes more natural so that you don’t even have to say it to yourself, but you can feel, “I’m looking out through here, and I’m seeing the other as a soul. Now this very simple practice creates no headache at all. A guarantee, it’s when I think I have to force myself to sit in a corner and think “I’m a soul, I’m a soul”, then I can imagine it does give a headache. Just let all of Baba’s points of knowledge become very natural in your awareness. You're washing the fruits and the water is running and you’re doing whatever you need to do with whatever is there, but your thoughts are very much with Baba. Making soul consciousness, making Baba come to my awareness in a very natural way is attention, and it doesn’t have any tension. But if I’m struggling, “why does Baba have to keep telling me to remember him”, there is a conflict that’s there within me, that’s not 100% accepting that this is the right way to be doing things. Let me deal with that inner conflict and sort it out. Why am I resistant to what Baba is saying, what is it? Is it the memory of a parent that was very domineering, and was constantly dominating me, constantly telling me to do this, do the other? Am I comparing Baba now with lokik parental care? Our human parents were not perfect, we know that, they knew that, but now that I have come to Baba, this is the Supreme parent, the one with unlimited love. So let it become a very natural practice to have an ongoing conversation of love with that Being who is the Being of Love, and Baba doesn’t want to dominate, Baba doesn’t want to put pressure, but Baba knows that through that remembrance you're drawing those qualities from the Divine into yourself.

Q – This question about 13 days after the soul has left the body, the light is kept lit, prayers are done. Or do we do meditation? Does the soul always take a body immediately?

J – 99% of the time and the 1% of the time where it’s been like accidental death, it’s been violent death, a sudden thing that’s happened, the fetus isn’t yet ready so there may be a little space of time where the soul does wander, but then it goes to it’s home. Then of course there are cases where the souls wander for a long time because they have some karma that they haven’t resolved with people in their past birth, and so that gives a lot of grief. What to do then is to be very powerful in your yoga so that you don’t have any karma with those souls. Generally, 99% of the time a soul leaves one body and there’s a fetus waiting to receive it, and the mother feels it and they call it the quickening, the moment when the mother feels the child kick in her tummy.

Q – Is there any significance of the 13 days?

J – I haven’t been able to understand from the devotion, the bhakti point, why 13 days but in the spiritual context I would say that because it's such a fragile time. Fragile time for the soul that’s gone, and fragile for the relatives that have been left behind. That space of 2 weeks in which there is a chance to come to terms with what’s happened. The satsang, the prayers, the meditation that’s going on so that then It carries the family through that challenging period of resettlement, but also the soul in a very new place, a new home all alone with nobody to talk to, no possibility of any communication at all. That soul can still catch our vibrations, and so if you have continuous satsang, company with the Truth, gatherings of a spiritual quality, then those good vibrations are going to bring comfort to the soul in its new home. So, I think more for me it’s a span of time rather than 12 days or 14 days or 13 days.

Q – Do you remember Ramesh bhai’s class in which he mentions that the rich person left and he didn’t will his money? Then what happened was when bhog was offered, and they went into trance then he said “well let me go and sign the check now” and then Baba said; no, that government will not accept the cheque and this government will not accept. If the son inherited this money, if he does good or bad with it is it all his karma or does any of it go to his dad?

J – It also goes to the parent because the money has come from the hard earnings, the hard work of the parent and so instead of doing something worthwhile with it, now it’s gone to one individual. Yes, there was a karmic bond of attachment anyway, but now whatever this child is going to do with his means, there can be good deeds done, philanthropy, and some part of that is going to come back to the parent. And yes, a lot to the child also who’s now in charge. But if the child does something wrong with it then part of that is also going to come back to the parent.

Sister Jayanti – 21st November, 2021 – GCH Good wishes and pure feelings for the self and others

23 November 2021

Two expressions that come up in the murli again and again are Shubh bhavna, meaning pure feelings, and shubh kamna – good wishes.

In bhakti when devotion is performed with a lot of love for God there is the awareness of giving benefit to others.   When Brahma Baba had finished his practice he would do bhakti for the community, for his family and then good wishes and pure feelings for all so that everyone could be benefitted.   But of course within bhakti there isn’t the clarity of knowing who God is and there is also no awareness of what exactly “benefit for all” is.  And so now Baba is telling us that God is the Benefactor of the World and so we have to be master benefactors.

In order to achieve this you need to have pure feelings and good wishes and so the real question is do I have good wishes and pure feelings for absolutely everyone?  I can think about sending good wishes to Africa or Asia but sometimes it is families that have traumatic experiences together - a lot of karma to settle; and sometimes it is with souls who are in connection with me.  It can be our physical neighbours with issues because we are together all the time, and neighbouring countries seem to have problems with each other.

You may know people in Africa but you don’t know all of them so it is easy to send good wishes.  But when I know someone can I have good wishes and pure feelings?  So there is a lot of cleaning up in order to serve the world in this way.

On one level it sounds very easy.  Just send good wishes to everyone and within the bhog offering we do have, this is exactly what we are doing.  We are sending good wishes and pure feelings to all and in that definitely we are connected to Baba when we sit in yoga, offering to Baba and the energy of the whole gathering multiplies that power and so those good wishes and pure feelings work.  We often get feedback that people have experienced the power of good wishes and blessings from the family.

And how does it work and how does it work when it is for one individual or 10 individuals or  whatever it may be?  Many of you may not know those people but you remember God and send out good wishes and then Baba is responsible to share those good wishes for everyone.   But to be able to do that for the whole wide world means that I have to understand what it is to be a benefactor for myself, a benefactor for my spiritual family, and my physical family and if I can go through those stages and make sure that really I am a benefactor first for myself and then for all others then that will get me on track for sending out good wishes and pure feelings.  Benefit for myself.

If someone doesn’t feel well either physically or emotionally we would probably suggest to them that they take a half day or a day off and just give themselves time to rest and relax but do we do this for ourselves?  We need to give time to ourselves.  It is not laziness or carelessness or avoidance but giving ourselves time to sort out what we need to sort out whether it is emotionally, spiritually or physically. Very often we forget to have this self-compassion.

We are all following Baba’s instructions but are we able to follow God’s instructions more and more accurately so that I am able to give benefit to myself because when we were following the dictates of the mind the influence of others, of football stars or whoever meant that we saw what they were doing and we did the same.  Remote influence or friends and company influencing us.  The result of all of that, having done that for half a cycle it brought me to the end of kalyug - to this point in the cycle - so a choice.

Do I want to stay here in this condition or do something differently?   And if I want a different outcome I need to do things differently and to do the different things that Baba is now telling me to do.  Other things of shrimat.   Right from early morning to night Baba has given us very specific directions in terms of shrimat.  The more shrimat I can follow the more benefit I give to myself.

In terms of the Brahmin  family, if I am truly concerned about helping out and supporting them then the foundation has to be respect.  If there is respect then I am able to do something of benefit and value for others and without that foundation of respect for each one I cannot do anything.  This applies to the lokik family too.

From an early age, when Dadi Janki was growing up she was taught to respect everyone and everything.  Her family had farms and orchards and they had a specific protocol of what they would do with the harvest and from the fields.  They first fed the sadhus living in huts on their property – they were taken care of by the family – the sadhus would come and go -  and then the animals were fed, then the children and then brothers and then the sisters and what was left was given to the workers on the farms.  Nothing was sold.  They had another business for that.  What came from the earth was distributed in this way.  She was taught at a young age to respect the sadhus and animals and so on.  Respect was taught through this system.  Baba has inculcated in us the same awareness.

Respect the self.  Everything starts inside.  Value yourself so you don’t need to take support from human beings.  When I lack self-respect I am going to take support in one way or another.

Good wishes and pure feelings are of course connected with the whole subject of benevolence.  Good feelings – how do I feel about myself.  Am I content and comfortable with myself.

At the end of kalyug many people have gone through a lot of trauma for many different reasons and where there is trauma there is always going to be insecurity, whether it is identified as fear or not, there is that, and so the reactivity of people is happening because of this and so it is time to settle all karmic accounts.

So where do I begin with the whole subject of pure feelings for myself.   Am I able to look at Baba and say that I have good feelings for where I am at now.   I have a vision of where I want to go but even now at this moment I have good feelings for myself.  I have good wishes for myself and that churning about who I am, where I am at, where I want to go, basic questions that people have always asked through the ages - I now have answers to those questions.  We went to sadhus and asked those questions but they were not able to give us those answers and so it was a muddle.  Those questions are very connected with the dialogues that were happening at COP and have been for the last four years or so.

That churning of who I am and how well I can stabilise myself in that awareness and then being able to have that value for myself and give others that respect and value also, and then all the way down the line - human beings, animals, nature and so on.

For the first fourteen years of tapasya that they were engaged in there was very little gyan that they had.  They had knowledge of soul and that was being clarified more and more deeply.  They had the knowledge of an eternal cycle and knew about the three worlds.  They didn’t know exactly the form of God yet their tapasya was so powerful.  They did not have the clarity about the form of God until the end of the 50s.

They had the power of self-realisation on a deep level.   That power of self-realisation that Baba had been able to inspire in them enabled them to go out as pioneers and face a world that was fairly hostile to them.  They were lionesses. Women in white who appeared not to be following Hindu systems.  Everything about them was odd and yet they were able to find those heir quality souls who have become the main instruments across the wold - both brother and sister souls even though they had grown up not to speak to anyone who was not in the family and even in her family Dadi Janki would not speak in front of her father or grandfather unless they asked her something and she responded.  Women like children, were seen and not heard.

They were able to go out and share God’s message and many questions that they didn’t have answers to because it hadn’t yet become clear, but it was due to that time of tapasya, of deep introspection and silence, realisation of who I am,  that detachment from the body and all things of the material world.

Life in Karachi was comfortable and life in Abu wasn’t.  Physical things were very challenging but their renunciation was absolute.  The power of the renunciation of the consciousness of the body and other renunciation followed automatically.  No dependency on other people nor on things.

Dadi Ratanmohini came to the UK alone and stayed in London alone for the first time in her life.  She was in her 50s.  She went through so many things, managing everything that came her way.  She would talk about the power of soul consciousness very often because that was her practical experience.

So today if I want to have good wishes and good feelings for all it starts on the inside, valuing the self and respect for the brahmin family as well as having respect for everyone and everything and so it is not difficult but it is a question of what is going around in my head and Baba is asking what is in your mind and what is your intellect occupied with.

Pause and ask yourself these questions:  Do I have my life on track whether it is in terms of money or home and if I haven’t let me sort it out and get it on track.  Then once I have done that, how much energy and time should I be giving on this level and to what extent can I be free to keep my mind on a more elevated level.

If someone gets angry then am I going to get angry with them.  Is there another way? A spiritual way.

Dadi Janki would ask: if there is a fire burning are you going to set off another fire or are you going to be the one who is able to extinguish that fire.   If I am in Baba’s remembrance and I am soul conscious then I am going to be able to extinguish that fire.  There is a different way to deal with everything and so what is my mind caught up with.  If my mind is too busy with all the things of action and reaction and everything that is going on I don’t have time to generate pure feelings and good wishes either for myself or for anyone else.

And then my forgiveness or lack of forgiveness and thirdly a full stop.

If I truly believe that drama is benevolent then am I able to put a full stop by seeing benevolence  in everything that is going on and if I am able to do this my good feelings remain intact otherwise I start to ask how,  why -  but.

These little questions trigger off a huge storm of thoughts and good feelings disappear very quickly and many times Baba has taught us the lesson of putting a full stop and if the brake of your car isn’t affective it is dangerous.  You are going to make sure you go to the garage and get it sorted out quickly.  So if today I see I am not able to put a full stop very quickly can I spend time practising.  Little things happen, full stop and the way to bring that full stop is if I deeply believe that drama is beneficial.

The word “drama” ends with the word “ma” and the mother is always benevolent.  They want everything for the children. So Baba the Father, drama my mother and destiny my mother.

It’s an interesting concept and as I recognise Baba as the Benefactor more and more I am also going to be able to recognise drama as the benefactor and in that state of feeling benefit it is easier to say finish, full stop.  There is benevolence and I may not be able to see it at the moment but as time goes on I will see the benefit of it.  Every situation, benefit, benefit and so I think the mantra for all of us has to be benefit, put a full stop.

A chance to keep my awareness of what more can I do to keep myself at that high stage of good wishes and pure feelings for all and when I can deal with all the little things quickly in my mind instead of letting it occupy a huge amount of time and space then I am moving in that direction of pure feelings for all.

So a very powerful murli from Baba every day but today again and a chance to check who is it that I have not yet forgiven because I can forgive three people, four people but if there is one person I have not yet forgiven then that drop of poison is inside of me and it will make life difficult in all other relationships too and definitely, if there is a lack of forgiveness, then I am not going to be able to send out pure feelings and good wishes to all.   So a chance on this third Sunday and it might be announced that it is UN world day of remembrance for road traffic victims and we are sending out pure thoughts and good wishes for anyone who has been involved in any road accident - the victims, the families, everyone.

Om Shanti

Sister Jayanti –12th September 2021 – Avyakt Murli Revision – 19/03/88

19 November 2021

Again, a very, very powerful murli from Baba to boost our stage of self-esteem and to help us sit on the seat that Baba wants us to sit, so that truly, we can be the masters of the self and, in the future, of the world. So, Baba is the Bestower of Law and also the Bestower of Blessings – a very lovely combination – because when it’s a law then this is something you are expected to do, and then when it is blessings, well, the door of good wishes from God, and all support and help and love opens up, and we receive everything. And then Baba in His compassion and kindness constantly shares His titles with all of us. And so, then Baba saying that you are also the master law makers and the master bestowers of blessings. And whatever it is you are doing now, is going to be that which happens in the future, and Baba is referring to last week’s murli also, and the portrait that Baba painted us, how Baba was teaching us to be the portrait painters: What should be the quality of the forehead? What should be the eyes? What should be the lips? What should be our behaviour? I am sure all of you remember that very beautifully.

In this case, Baba was saying that whatever are the customs and systems that you observe now, these are the things that bring you the results of the future, and so your attainment of the future is through following the right methods and the customs and systems and the laws that Baba is teaching you today. And in the golden age, you don’t have to remember the law but you are automatically following the law, and the reward is infinite. And then from the copper age onwards, when bhagats remember those customs and systems and principles, and they observe them to whatever extent is possible for them, they also are able to attain success and the results of doing whatever it is they are doing – if they are doing it in the right way, in the right method.

Then Baba spoke about the principles that we adhere to today. So, the first and foremost principle, that there is only one God…no human being can be God…there is only One who is the Supreme, the One who is bodiless, the One who is the highest on high. And when we experience that elevated relationship with the One, it is through this that we are able to receive the reward of the future as our inheritance. This is also something that continues in bhakti because within all the traditions, people of that faith will surely say, God is One…there is only one God. I know that there are the non-theistic religions, in particular, Buddhism, but that is a whole different understanding, but the theistic religions and the monotheistic religions, in particular, will say God is One. And then that also brings them a return. In bhakti, we remember the oval shaped image of that light; from that light emerges that light in that form, and then we immortalise it in the form of the Kohinoor diamond – the first Shiva lingam that was created – and then through the ages, other images are also created.

Also, from the copper age onwards, bhakti also becomes a little bit diluted, but yet still they remember something of this period, and that is the power of purity. For Brahmins, the basic principle is to follow purity on all levels, and when we do that, we experience the fruit of that, and the fruit of that for us is for half a cycle, the reward of that and the success of that. And then for Bhagats, so many different festivals, Holi days, and I am sure this is also true in some of the other faiths, but when there is a Holi day, when there is a festive occasion, then part of the system of preparation and of being in that festival is also following purity, and so it may be just for a limited period of time that they follow it – they don’t have the understanding or the awareness that it should be life-long – but even if it is there for a short time, that also brings them success, the results of their bhakti.

Baba then said that this is homework for you: think about each one of the principles – whether in terms of our understanding of Baba’s knowledge or whether it’s the principles in terms of our lifestyle – think about all of these and see if you can connect it with the qualities of the period of the first half cycle and then the second half cycle, and how those customs and systems come about.

Then Baba explained that in bhakti, when they worship the different goddesses or gods, they do so with a very specific intention because they know that, say, for example, they go to Saraswati, and what they are asking from her is the gift of wisdom, study, education – the Goddess of Learning – or, if they go to Lakshmi, they are asking her for wealth. So different aspects are taken from each one of the different deities in terms of success, so they will ask for that particular aspect of that particular god or goddess, and it’s usually granted when they do it with a pure heart and clean intentions. But also, Baba said this word – Baba is using siddhi – the results or the success. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad word. Why Baba mentioned that is because in Hindi, it’s usually riddhi-siddhi (occult powers), so riddhi – whatever process they are using – and then the siddhi, the result of that, the occult power bringing a certain result that they have in their intention; and so that can become not so nice…not so clean…but Baba was saying that for you, it’s imperishable. The success is imperishable because you are following the method that God has taught you, riddhi; you are not using occult power but you are using the right method, the right system, that God has come to teach you and that because it has come from God, then the results are also going to be imperishable, whereas the other occult power can bring temporary gain and then it will disappear. No need to think too much about that but certainly the results that happen by following the right method, those results are going to be very powerful and long lasting.

Then Baba went on to say, well, if you are seated on that seat of your own position, then you won’t have to face any opposition from Maya, and so what happens to you? Instead of remaining stable on that seat, something or another creates upset, but if you are set with stability on that seat, then you wouldn’t get upset, and so position, opposition, set, upset – Baba was playing with the English language words. And Baba made a very interesting difference between firstly, you are given a blessing, you are given a position of self-respect and you understand it, but the understanding is just theoretical. But even in that theoretical understanding, there is a feeling of subtle joy that comes in your heart because when you understand something fresh and new, it’s very nice, it gives you a good feeling, so there is subtle joy. But then, the next step, you have to accept it. Say, for example, Baba is calling me “the master benefactor for the world”. Now, in theory, God is my Parent, the Bestower for All, the Benefactor for All. I, as a child of God, I am inheriting that title from God, “master”. In the English language the word “master” is used in two different contexts. One is the one who has gained mastery, and so “the master ocean of knowledge”. God is the Ocean of Knowledge…full stop…the only One, but the children also become the master oceans. But also, in old fashioned English (I don’t think it’s used so much today…maybe 50 years ago, certainly 60 to 70 years ago), it used to be used, that the son of the master of the house was called Master so and so…Master Robert, Master Thomas…and so whichever way you look at it, this title of master bestower of blessings or any one of the aspects that Baba gives us to raise our self-esteem and position in that way, well, when I accept it, then there is power. Understanding it brings subtle happiness; accepting it brings power – inner power, of course. But the third step, to use that awareness and apply it in practice in my life…now that brings intoxication. Such joy that it can’t be reversed or be lost because the faith and intoxication now is really reaching a very high level. Baba said that, how come you let go of that position? And this is because you begin to have ordinary thoughts; for example, even yoga becomes part of my ordinary routine, doing service becomes an ordinary routine. So, where my own thoughts are ordinary, even though something may be extraordinary, I don’t feel it like that, I don’t experience it like that…it’s ordinary.

If Brahmin life begins to feel ordinary, then it is because I am not accepting the titles that God is giving me, and maybe even deeper than that, my faith isn’t yet so strong that I totally understand and totally accept and apply. And so, it’s a very interesting comment from Baba that you don’t have to do anything wrong, you don’t have to do anything bad, but because Sangamyug is extraordinary, Baba is extraordinary. I, also, the child, am the same, and so not to let my thoughts become ordinary, extra ordinary. And so, what I have to make sure I do is to check, are my thoughts of that calibre, of that stage that Baba wants me to sit at? Baba gave a very simple example: when you go to Baba’s Room, yes, you leave your bed, you go to Baba’s Room, or you go into a place where there is collective yoga going on, whatever, it may be, you sit comfortably and first you make sure you are seated comfortably, but do you give attention to the positioning of the soul of the intellect? Am I able to sit in that position in which I can feel comfortable and it can take me to an extraordinary different level? Just as we definitely make sure that there is the right chair, the right cushions, etc, etc...and if it’s not, we adjust it…but Baba is saying okay, that’s fine, sit yourself comfortably, but also are you seated on your throne on your seat in a comfortable way? Because if you are comfortable, then set on that seat you will never get upset. And so, not just to treat it as an ordinary life, but to be aware of how extraordinary our lives really are.

Then Baba also spoke about how to make yoga interesting and creative, and how if it’s the same thought that you have every time you sit in yoga, no matter how powerful that thought may be, but what happens is if you are given the same food, no matter if you enjoy it the first day, the second day you will say, “The same thing,” you will still enjoy it. Third day, you will say, “Yet again, the same thing,” and by the fourth day, you probably won’t want to look at it again, and so the buddhi reacts in the same way. I am the master seed, I am an avyakt angel. I am the bestower of blessings, I am a light house, I am a might house…any one of these titles in themselves is powerful and beautiful…but I need to keep experimenting with each one of them, so that I get to experience the huge variety of experiences that Baba is offering me, and each experience will develop a different part of my personality and my behaviour and activity. But if I just keep taking up the same thing…I am a soul, I am a point of light…well, that’s good, no problem, but not all the time, certainly not every single day. Yes, let it come in, but find a title that you want to explore and experiment with, and so give your buddhi something fresh every single day. Sakar murlis also give us beautiful titles. Baba doesn’t underline them in the same way like Avyakt Baba does, but every sakar murli will give you a beautiful title to experiment with, but also the avyakt murlis of course give you very powerful beautiful titles to take up and experiment, and as you do this, you’ll find that your yoga is full of freshness. Baba mentioned how if there isn’t freshness then you will say that, “Well, I am tired!” But, no, it's not the tiredness of the body, but you are not stimulating your intellect with something fresh and nourishing, and so before you sit in yoga, just reflect, which title do I wish to experiment with? Which experience do I really feel I need at this moment? And Baba will give you that experience. You will be able to enjoy that time with Baba in a very rich and powerful and beautiful way. So, Baba giving us many, many different methods so that we can maintain a very high stage of consciousness.

Baba said, how six hours pass, eight hours pass and you have been busy, busy, busy and suddenly you think, What happened? Where did that time go? Yes, I know I did a lot of other things, but how come I didn’t remember who I am? How come I didn’t sit on that seat? And so, it will be very a sad reminder, because you’ll have felt that six hours, eight hours have passed by just in mundane consciousness, ordinary consciousness, and I could have used that time differently, keeping my consciousness elevated and doing the work that I needed to do in that stage of awareness.

Then Baba was appreciating that the double foreigners had given time for the Madhuban niwassis to meet Baba, and probably we were still all in the hall, even though it was Madhuban’s turn, and Baba reminded them that Madhuban is the unlimited stage: whatever is happening in Madhuban, is being watched by the world. There was a very interesting comment that Baba made: Yes, you might not want to hear about your greatness, but being reminded of your greatness with all your titles, means that you remember to be applying that in your life, and you become great. And so, your titles become a shield to protect you from all the other energies that are flowing out around you; so, stay within that protection of that shield of self-respect, and make sure that you stay in that higher consciousness, rather than allowing anything to pull it down on any level.

So, Madhuban is a stage, and definitely, we get to hear everything about Madhuban now, and we were getting all those images 24 hours…all the time…of Pandav Bhawan, History Hall, Baba’s Room, and also the garden, and also the Tower of Peace – so that was keeping us very well connected with Madhuban. But in those days, before all this technology, Baba was telling them: You are the children who are living in the place where BapDada lived, and so Madhuban means Baba, and when you are in Madhuban as a niwassi, then everybody is watching you…like they watch Baba…they watch Baba’s children. So, the first image was the stage. And then, the next image – I was thinking that Baba predicts what technology is going to do way, way before human beings get to do it – Baba spoke about how Madhuban is a dome, and so whatever you say echoes all around, and now we are getting all the information from Madhuban. Different people have different friends in Madhuban and so everybody gets a plethora of videos and messages and information that’s coming out of Madhuban, and so yes, you speak and you touch one wall and the echo of that reverberates through ten, eleven other walls, but in this case, out to the world.

So, Madhuban – the place where the children are truly representatives of the one who founded Madhuban, the one who still is ever present through the vibrations of Baba’s Room in Madhuban, and so Baba reminding them that you are living in a very powerful place, you have a very powerful legacy you can follow; and so just make sure that that is how your life is…to be the example for the whole world, and to be the inspiration and the instruments for the whole world. So that was true then, but 1988 murlis we are reading now – but it’s even more so true today because we just have so much access to technology, and everything is streaming live all the time, so I thought that was a fascinating passage to the Madhuban niwasis – great for them – but also, very, very applicable in today’s reality, and so that is what is happening. Everyone’s vision is focused on the stage and so you know what’s going on. So, these are some of the highlights that I took from this particular murli.

Q: Baba shared about having entertaining experiences in meditation or in Brahmin life but what about breaking through doing something consistently, particularly the Madhuban niwasis…who have been there for 30, 40, 50 years doing the same thing…and they somehow don’t need the newness. So, how to break through the sanskar of boredom?

A: I think one of the most beautiful things about the Madhuban brothers is that they find ways to churn, and they share those churnings in the evening classes that happen in Madhuban – even though the external duty is the same – but internally, they are creating something new for themselves through the churning of gyan. What I have also seen is that so many Madhuban niwassis especially at this moment, they have their own areas that they cover through Zoom and they are doing classes…so many of them. So, again, a very good incentive for churning and newness and then the opportunity to share that. Many of the brothers go away out of Madhuban, especially during the monsoon season – I don’t know whether there was a proper monsoon in Abu – at one point, they said very little rain had come, but usually when there was more stability in terms of seasons and more predictability about seasons, groups of Madhuban niwassis would be out on service in all the different areas of Bharat or even outside Bharat, like we saw for some years, and so I think that anyway, the churning they do keeps their minds occupied in a different dimension, so that the task that they are doing doesn’t seem dull or boring – they are doing it, there is a need for it – if somebody else could do it, fine, they would be happy and they would do something else. But if that isn’t the case, they are happy to carry on doing it day in day out, year in year out, decades and decades. This is the beautiful thing about the Madhuban niwassis, but as I say, I think there are avenues of exploration that are now happening.

Q: How does one conquer boredom in gyan? Is churning the way to conquer boredom?

A: I think that it’s the churning that keeps the soul entertained and also Baba talking about experimentation in yoga that also is entertaining. And so just think about it: I begin the day with powerful yoga and it’s very entertaining, I had a lovely experience and then I come to murli class and I keep myself entertained through playing with the jewels that Baba’s giving me. Like Didi - Didi was a master at this – as she listened to Dadiji read the murli, she would be making notes in her book – and she always carried a big notebook – and so she would be making notes in Sindhi (this is why I am going in this direction, not the other one), it’s the script from right to left. So, she would be creating the questions that today continue with the murli; when you see the headers with the Q&A, well, that was Didi’s invention. So, she did that to keep her intellect engaged and attentive because she would have read the murli, she would have read the notes of the murli, she would have heard the murli on tape recorder many times, but now as a student, she was playing that role of being an obedient student sitting in front of Dadiji, hearing Dadiji and making notes. So, yes, I think that if we churn that this keeps the intellect lively and engaged and gives us power like Baba said.

Q: If we are the law makers, then why are we the first ones to break the law in, particular, at the copper age?

A: I am not sure about the precise timings of everything, but just think about it. At that moment when the deities fall onto the path of sin – because they no longer remember that they are deities – they have forgotten their state of original purity, and as a result of that impurity coming into the world, there is actually a mini destruction that happens. So, before that, it is only those who were divine beings with purity; they lose that purity, upheaval happens, then there is the start of the copper age, and after that everyone who comes is of the same ilk. They are all body conscious – nobody has that understanding of soul – and so that state has changed completely. So, it’s not that because we were the first to be pure, we were the first ones to sin in that tit for tat way, but it’s a very logical continuation that these deities are the ones who actually step out of that world of paradise, and all remnants – all traces – of paradise disappear, whether it’s below the waves, below the earth, whatever it is, but literally they disappear; and then you are left with the world that we know about, and the history and geography begins to develop in the way that it’s now understood. So, for me, that makes sense; that they are the ones on earth, they are the ones who forget, and so there is a domino effect after that.

Q: What is your definition of success in knowledge for Brahmins at the confluence age, and then how to utilise or maximise that success for our progress, with humility?

A: If I go back to this word siddhi – I’ve made effort and I am getting the result of that – we have translated it as success, because that’s an accurate translation also. So, success means being able to see the visible return of whatever it is I have done, but sometimes it takes time to come. I’m remembering a particular sentence from this murli in which Baba said: Those who are the embodiments of success will never have the waste thought, well, I have done so much and I am not getting any results, or, I have tried to have yoga and I am not getting anywhere with this. No, they will understand that sometimes there is a time lag; I am doing what I can do now and I am not expecting instant results. I am willing to continue to do what I can do, and the results are going to come at their own good time. So, success is not always instantly visible but results are definitely going to be coming. If I have done things with the right consciousness, then I see the results of that. Yes, if I am thinking about the results of each one of the subjects, if I have understood Baba’s knowledge accurately, I will be able to see the results of that in my life, because now I am going to be engaged in doing good karma.

I know time is short – I know that in a short space of time I have to maximise the benefit I take from Baba, and so I am doing what I can to apply those teachings in my practical life. And the more I do this, the more results I see – the success I see – and that is my happiness, my lightness, my joy, and the path becoming clear in front of me. The success in yoga, yes, I am able to not just experience that lightness and that stage that Baba wants me to have, but I am also feeling the lightness inside that comes as a result of the past burdens being settled and lifted – the alloy being removed – and now, the soul begins to sparkle and shine. So, think about success in all of these different ways as results, and you will see how any effort that we have made on a spiritual level, with the right consciousness, we get the results of that, definitely...sometimes, a little while…think about Brahma Baba; and Brahma Baba in his lifetime, physically, saw the expansion into 400 plus centres across Bharat. But Baba always spoke about service in foreign lands – while Sakar Baba didn’t see it – Avyakt BapDada made it happen. Angel Brahma is the one who actually served the world; BapDada of course, but Brahma Baba in the angelic form.

What Brahma Baba didn’t see in his physical time is now happening through the Avyakt period. It took time but it is happening, and so not to have false expectations that it’s going to happen like this – it may do – but, even sometimes when things appear to happen like magic, there is usually a build-up, and that build-up has been consistent effort using the right method, the right consciousness, to do what I need to do and, bingo! There are amazing results that come out of that. Instead of using the word “success”, if I use the word “result”, there will always be a result. But I want to just explain one other thing that people sometimes get confused about, and that is that victory (Baba uses the word “victorious” many times and also “successful” many times), the words “victory” and “victorious” refer totally to the inner battle that I am having with the vices. And that’s not an external success on any level, it’s very much an interior, internal thing and, yes, as a result of that, you do see that happiness and joy and lightness. When I am fighting attachments, when I am fighting ego – it’s going on inside of me – and when I’ve reached that state of victory over attachment, over ego…any of those things…then you can see it in the sparkle of my face, and the beaming eyes and the smile. But it’s really:  victory is something inner, and success and results are something external.

Q: What is the feeling of being set on your seat of your self-respect?

A: It’s the experience of that particular title that you are experimenting with. Say, for example, Baba has called us “the master bestower of blessings”. Firstly, I have received blessings from Baba, and I can feel that and I can sense that it’s blessings that are carrying me forward – not just effort and hard work – but as a result of whatever it is I have done, Baba is pleased and content with me, and so Baba’s showering me with blessings. So, when I sit on this throne, on this seat, I am feeling how blessed I am, and then I want to share those blessings with the world. And so, in yoga I am with Baba, and Baba’s spreading those vibrations of the blessings of His love and protection to the whole of humanity, to all of His children, and even today Baba said, the elements, even the physical elements – Baba is responsible for transforming those also – and so, they too in a sense move from degradation to salvation. They are here but there is that movement.

So, when I am in this awareness of being the master bestower of blessings, I have Baba with me, in front of me, and I feel Baba giving, giving, giving blessings to all, and so can I cultivate that sense, that experience, that feeling? But can I also keep this awareness through the day?  And for anyone – even those having to use their heads, their brains a lot for their lokik jobs – I am thinking especially of our IT sisters and brothers, who say that it is so intense, that once they get into work, until the moment that they leave, they scarcely have time to breathe, and so the intellect is constantly engaged. But even in that space where it’s head work that is going on – not just physical work – there is a break for tea, there is a break for water, there are many little breaks, and so in those little breaks, can I at that moment come back to that experiment? Can I be the master bestower at that time? And it will give a great deal of refreshment, it will give a great deal of love and joy and lightness, and it will create a beautiful atmosphere around you, and you will find that you are giving a lot of happiness to a lot of people. So, the more I experiment with what Baba wants me to think about and feel, the more I can be Baba’s instrument to share all of that with others.

Q: Baba says that your give and take should not be with impure beings. But we buy things from the stores and we have exchanges with our relatives. What does Baba mean by not having exchanges with impure human beings?

A:  With my relatives, what I can do is to, one at a time, just say to them: rather than engaging in expensive gifts, and presents and cards, can all of us agree or even some of us agree, that we will give that money to charity. And if they tell you to choose your own charity, well, you can do that, but otherwise if they say, well, let’s choose a charity and we will all donate to that. Well, there are some charities that are doing good work, and I am sure you will be able to find that maybe they are not the big, well-known ones, but there are some hospitals who do a lot of good work, things like this, and so can we then donate to that? So that instead of buying expensive presents and all the paraphernalia that that creates, can we decide on a plan of action that’s going to take things further. In terms of cards, I remember, by the time I was about twelve, I think, I had so many friends at school and I wanted to send them all cards. It would have been overdone to have done that, and so I had to learn to discipline myself and send some cards, but also just greet others on the phone – in those days local phone calls were not so expensive – and so I would then find other ways to do it.

I think the same thing is true, definitely, in terms of presents and gifts, and there are so many ceremonies…birthdays and anniversaries…and the expectation is always this, but there can be a change brought about in that.

Last week I mentioned, how one of our senior brothers here had told his daughters: I give you my blessings for your marriage but I have given you an education, but I don’t want to spend my money on a wedding. And both his daughters understood absolutely, and they still love him immensely, and they agreed. He wasn’t stopping them – they found their own partners, even though it’s an Indian family – but he was very content with the partners they found and, touch wood, they have had good marriages, happy families, all of that is going well. So, that’s a big chunk of money, otherwise, that would go on alcohol and maybe food that’s not vegetarian, who knows? And so, he managed to use love…a lot of love…with his family, but he managed to use gyan and yoga power to help them understand why he was not going to do what was the norm; he was going to do something different, and they accepted it.

So just look at the situation you are in, and see in what way you can turn it around, so that really you are following your conscience. Money is such a big thing in the sense that if I give food to somebody, no problem; if I give money to somebody, do I know whether they are going to get alcohol with it, do I know whether they are going to get cigarettes with it? I don’t know and I can’t control it once it’s out of my hands, I can’t do anything more, so it then becomes the exchange that Baba’s talking about…not just the exchange with impure souls, but for impure purposes.

Q: Does Baba purify the soul directly in yoga by connecting with Him, or does Baba only give the teachings, and the soul, by following them, cleanses the karmic burdens and creates the pure sanskars.  So, does Baba cleanse or is it that the teachings help us to cleanse?

A: The teachings help me to understand what’s going on completely, and Baba gives me the power then to apply those teachings in terms of doing good karma because I can understand, but yet I need the power to be able to do it, and Baba gives me the power to do it. But also, the actual cleansing in which the alloy from the past is removed; that’s not just the understanding of knowledge – that is the fire of love, the fire of yoga – and that truly is God’s role as Purifier. If you look at the sakar murlis, Baba specifies: I have come to purify you, and this is what you called out for Me in bhakti. I haven’t come for any other purpose. Yes, I’ll give you the knowledge to teach you yoga; yes, I’ll tell you how to do good karma and give you an example of Brahma Baba, and follow in his footsteps…I’ll teach you everything...but my main purpose of teaching you is to purify you, so that you can become satopradhan. So, God’s role is huge! I, myself, on my own, couldn’t purify myself, and even understanding God’s knowledge, just in theory, wouldn’t be the process of purification, but it’s yoga power – God’s love – and that energy from God that’s able to cleanse us and transform us and make us satopradhan again.

Q: What is the yukti (method) to make amrit vela an integral part of my timetable, where there are health problems?

A: When there is a period of illness, then I understand that it’s challenging, but illness is usually for a certain period of time, and if it’s not just for a certain period – if it’s inherent, and it’s long lasting, and it’s going to continue – then can I find a way to adjust my routine, and make sure that whether it’s early bed or a nap in the afternoon, whatever, but to try to make it for amrit vela. And if really, truly, it’s not possible to make it for amrit vela, then to find an hour…whatever time suits the body and my timetable…and have powerful yoga at that time. It’s difficult because the atmosphere of the world has changed, but then at least Baba sees my commitment to the subject of yoga, and the fact that I am actually focused on that commitment, so I think that intention is what Baba sees and so if the intention is, yes, there may have been a period of illness but I want to get back on track for that. So, then Baba helps. If you have the intention, Baba will help you.

Q: What is the difference between drishti and sakaash?

A: Drishti is face to face, and sakaash can be far away, that’s not necessarily face to face, so that’s a very technical thing. But, of course, drishti can be very, very powerful – it is like sakaash – and sakaash…we were in front of BapDada…and we would feel the sakaash coming from Baba, but generally it’s when it’s done remotely rather than face to face.

Q: If you’ve been in a relationship, you have been married, and you have a family and you’re just coming into gyan…it’s not easy to absorb these titles...maybe if you’re pure from birth, it may be easy. So, how to have faith in yourself?

A: Today, I love Baba, which means I am a Brahmin; I have the good fortune of recognising Baba, and so I am a Brahmin – that’s the first faith to have in the self – and Baba has told me that if I am a Brahmin, and I believe the knowledge…the murli…that God is speaking through the mouth of Brahma (they say the deities were born through the mouth of Brahma, and so the mouth-born progeny – the Brahmins – are also the ones who become the deities of the future), and so start with that title: Do I believe I am a deity soul? And then experiment with all the other titles slowly, slowly, one by one; and you will get there. But this basic aspect of faith: I am a Brahmin, and I will be a deity. I was a deity – this is why I am a Brahmin today – but that’s also then my future.

Q: Jayanti bhen, I’d like you to share about what Baba said to you in last Friday’s murli, when you were in front of Baba (I know you shared with the London class). It was very nice. What was that going on with Baba then?

August 1966, and I am in Madhuban, and I was 17 years old, and I had a lot of love for Baba – enough to be sitting there in front of Baba for the murli – but not really any realisation of soul or God or anything like that; but somehow, Baba saw below the surface. And what Baba did one morning (the morning before I had been sitting in the front with kumaris (little girls) especially, and little boys), Baba had them come and sit at the front; and so, History Hall and Baba’s gaddi is here and the children are there, so very close. And Baba said to me at the end of murli, could I explain the picture of the ladder to the gathering, and there were just 30 people in Madhuban at that time. It’s monsoon season, and the girl sitting next to me was Santosh, who would cook for Baba in the kitchen – tiny little kitchen near Baba’s room – and Baba’s meals were tiny portions anyway; and so, Baba asked her to be my companion. Baba told her to explain to me the picture of the ladder, because I was seeing that for the first time; I hadn’t seen that before. So, that day, she was explaining to me about the picture, and I was helping her with chopping vegetables and things like this. I had also asked what language could I speak in, and Baba had said English is fine, and that brought comfort because I knew that most of the people didn’t speak English. A few of the brothers did, I think about three of them: Dada Vishwa Kishore, Dada Vishwa Ratan and Chandrahas Dada...these three brothers…there weren’t other brothers around; there were younger boys but not really any of the seniors we know. She explained and it looked fairly straight forward, so that evening at 8.15pm (Baba was going to come at 8:30), and Baba told me, “Here, teacher, take a pointer [a stick] and point”, and so I had a picture in the middle on the gaddi and I stood and explained. It was not so difficult and I wasn’t nervous so much – because most of them didn’t speak English – it was okay if I made a mistake; nobody would even notice, and they were just watching. I was looking at this picture and I turned around and I saw Baba standing by the window (History Hall, in that passage that leads to Dadi’s room), and then I got nervous, and so I quickly finished, and went and sat down. Then Baba came in and Baba gave drishti and said, “Very good, very good.”

Next morning Baba spoke this murli, and I thought that Baba was being kind and generous and wanting to uplift me, and that’s probably what Baba did with everyone who came. So, I didn’t understand it was a prediction, and when I realised that it was a prediction, was two particular instances. When I told Baba in 1968 (June), I want to surrender and I want to stay at a centre, Baba said, Baba knew it already, and then that scene came into my mind.

In 1969, Baba’s gone; we were meeting Avyakt BapDada and Baba is asking me to come back to London, and that’s when first it was a year of tapasya. No doors were opening, every door I tried was shut. I realise now it was very important that it was shut, it helped me deal with ego and thinking, “Oh I can teach!” No, you can’t! So, a lot of learning, a lot of tapasya. And then we got this opportunity to speak at The Spiritualist Association of Great Britain in Belgrave Square, one of the exclusive areas of London – and gave the first lecture. (We had been allocated four lectures every Wednesday evening through December.) After the first lecture (it was a small auditorium, about 80 people; it was very nice and comfortable and it was in the heart of London), a woman at the back stood up and said: “Where did you get all these teachings from? Who is the person who has taught you all this?” And I remembered that murli and what Baba had said, so my answer was: “These are the teachings that have been given by God in Mount Abu.” By then, Baba was Avaykt, but I told them that this was the man who explained everything…didn’t have any projectors or photographs or anything that I could show…so just explained. But again, that was the second time…I remembered it very strongly, and it was exactly as Baba had explained. I just repeated the words that Baba had told me at that time. That, yes, you can come to Mount Abu; where you can experience this for yourself. So, it was a very specific prediction; not just a boost for me. At that moment, I hadn’t understood, but Baba knew. So BapDada…I think both of them…are able to forecast the future.

Q: How do you feel when you hear your name in the murli, Sister Jayanti?

A: I have to be detached, so that I can read it to others. When I read it, then that whole scene comes to mind...and a lot of love, a lot of gratitude, a lot of appreciation, of the life that Baba has given.

Thank you, everyone.

Om Shanti.
