Churning of Sr Chirya on the Practice of Being Light

8 January 2024

Om Shanti, This gift from BapDada, Global Program for Dec/Jan 2023/24 - Instructions for Progressing to Perfect Stage -

is powerfully sustaining me as I continue to happily practice BEING LIGHT!  A recent BK email with a copy of  BD Avaykat Murli from Jan 18, 2022, explaining the necessity of practicing BEING LIGHT has made a deep impact on me and has created an intense urge to continually practice being spiritual LIGHT.  The positive results I'm receiving are inspiring me to make even more effort, so I thought you would enjoy these points as well to more easily reach your perfect stage!  In loving remembrance,  Sr Chirya

Points to practice with intense effort starting in New Year 2024

from Avaykt BapDada's murli spoken Jan 18, year? sent recently.

I am so transparent only the light of the soul can be seen.

CAN YOU SEE YOURSELF?

Our final form of Light.

Can you see your final form in front of you and is your attention drawn to it? Call it the form of light or a costume, but you will only be able to see light. What is the form of angels? That of light. Those who see them will experience angels to be those who are wearing costumes of light; crowns are light, costumes are light and decoration is light. Wherever you look, you will only see light. When you look on their heads, you will see crowns of light. From their eyes, rays of light emerging. So, can you see such a form in front of you?

How will your part of the form of might, the form of power, be revealed? With the form of light. Anyone who comes in front of you should become bodiless in a second: that will only happen with the form of light. If you become a lighthouse whilst walking and moving along, your body will not be visible to anyone. If you wish to pass the paper at the time of destruction, then, in order to face all situations, you have to become a lighthouse. Experience this form of yours whilst walking and moving along. You now have to practise this. Completely forget your body. Even when you have to do any work, if you have to walk or talk with someone, then too, adopt an angelic form of light to do that.

Become an Angel like Father Brahma

You used to experience (Brahma Baba) the sakar form being in the angelic form. Even whilst he was living on this earth, you used to experience him to be an angel. You have to develop such a stage. In the beginning, many used to have a vision of this. They used to see nothing but light. They would also have a vision of their crown of light many times. Whatever sample you saw in the beginning will be the practical form at the end.

Let all your activities be carried out with thoughts.

You will see the result of success through thoughts. Just as you give directions with words, in the same way, you will be able to carry out your entire business with thoughts. Scientists are able to receive directions from Earth whilst up above, so are you not able to carry out your activities with elevated thoughts? After all, it is silence science has copied... You did this a cycle ago. So, there is then no need to say anything. Just as you clarify something with words, in the same way, let all your activities be carried out with thoughts. The more you experience this and come close to one another, the more your thoughts will also be similar.

Because of becoming forms of light, when your wasteful thoughts and wasting of time have finished, you will only have those thoughts which are to take a practical form. You will just have that thought and the person who has to carry it out in practice will also have the thought he has to do it. This is newness, is it not? When others see activity being carried out in this way, they will understand that your activity is not being carried out by your telling anyone anything, but through signals. You will look at someone and, from your eyes, that person will understand. The subtle region has to be created here. Achcha.

Can you “see” yourself?___________________

New Year Bhog Message Brought By Sister Mohini

7 January 2024

With the thought to Offer bhog to Baba & Baba definitely invokes all of us to the subtle regions to offer bhog. I on behalf of the family here offered bhog to Baba & Baba with His love, drishti accepted bhog with love. Baba said it is my lovely family.

Today Baba was addressing us as His lovely family. So Baba said that my lovely family is always one who is like the Father. So I said like Father because we are always like Father. Because one of the important qualities of the Father, He is the Bestower. He is the one who constantly gives & everyone in the family is also happy, beautiful sanskar at Confluence Age to give,to serve. Baba said this sanskar of serving helps you to claim your inheritance but also not only inheritance but also you claim the title of being a Master. So you claim all the treasures from Baba as your inheritance.

After a few moments Baba said the new year has begun. So everyone’s thoughts are how can we start our year? so I looked at Baba & said, Baba I woke up with the thought to look at that I have to get all 3 certificates. Which one should I get first? Who will give me the certificate first? Is it Baba will give, should I ask the family to give or myself? Let me hear, self.

First I give to myself? Who will verify that? Who should give first? I give myself 80%,85%. I remember one time Dadi Prakashmani told us that we all have to give ourselves what, how much percentage? So then she gave me the responsibility to get all the answers. So when I looked at hers, she gave herself 90 or some thing. So I said, no you should give yourself more. And there were some who gave more. So many came to me,give us back we want to look at it again. So I have to verify from Baba. So what about getting from Baba first? And then from self & then from others. We always think what others think of me. What will they say for me, what will they say for me? But what Baba thinks of me? What Baba says for me? Everyone should constantly remember that your certificate & Baba said, the way Baba gives certificates is royalty of purity. Purity everyone knows..free from vices. But what is royalty? A royal person has certain maryadas that is why even when our degrees of viceless, 16 celestial degrees in the end, it says Maryada Pururshottam, all the maryadas. It’s not 3 things;there are principles, there are maryadas, there is Shrimat & that creates our personality of royalty. Because you have to be in the royal family which we all want to be. How many of you want to be in the royal family?

Everyone! So what is required? our divine maryadas, accuracy in following Shrimat. So Baba gave the certificate based on royalty. Purity changes into royalty. And that royalty & purity is what is divinity! We all have to be divine. So this year everyone pays attention to see that I get a certificate from Baba & then I give to myself. For that there are 2 things;always constantly be joyful, happy, sweet. How many times during the day, I got a little bit forceful, a little bit upset, or a little bit of... I remain sweet. That’s why we say Sweetest Baba. Baba also says, my sweetest children. So how many of you will take this resolution? I will always be sweet & joyful.we have to give happiness to everyone, like Baba said in the morning Murli. Make everyone happy. I don’t know what the translation is “ suskh do” (Give happiness to all). Then you get the certificate from the family & that certificate is, she is or he is a true renunciate & a server.something is lacking in renunciation could be seen in service also that means in service, a little bit of ego, forceful, stress, tiredness because of lack of some kind of renunciation.so then you get certificate from others. Every child of Baba, every family member should experience love.

Everyone has surrendered to Baba & Baba’s service is world service, not anyone’s service. I am not serving anyone, serving Baba.so sometimes a little bit of arrogance, a little bit of role consciousness, a little bit of authority, no one has any authority. Baba whom I have given my life to. So constantly renunciate as a server. Should be the certificate, which I should get which you all should. Because service could also become like a career, you can do as a business. Seva, we are servers. So I had a little chit chat with Baba about certificate & then Baba said, anyway for this year, every step we have to follow Brahma Baba specially in the month of January. How at every step Baba took, he moved towards the stage of being double light.

Baba is ready to take all our burdens. He said, give me,give me. Who would like to take anyone’s burden? It is only my Parents, my Father & He does.

So then in the end Baba is looking at everyone & again asking, are you okay? Let me see hands. Everyone will say yes to Baba.ok,so we have to claim our certificate from Baba. Once you claim that you will be able to give yourself very easily & you will hear from others also. Baba gave a lot of love, have determination for this year. Whatever pure thoughts you have bring them into practical. Then Baba gave lots of love & remembrances to each one.

Om Shanti

Living with Limitless Love - Sister Dipti Interviews Sudesh Didi on the Evening Of 2nd January 2024 at GCH, London

6 January 2024

Sister Dipti: Om Shanti. Happy New Year.  Thank you, Didi, for being with us this evening and allowing me to ask you questions. I know today's topic is about limitless love, which is the topic for this Madhuban season for double foreigners. However, I do have several questions that are not related to that topic. So, I hope I can ask you those questions. They are from various sources, including new students, old students, teachers, and children's class.

Firstly, I would like to pick up on your New Year's message. You had sent out a New Year's message to everyone from the German family. It goes like this: "We are shining stars of success. We have left behind our old sanskars in 2023 because they neither belong to us, nor do they belong to this Confluence Age, nor do they belong to this world. We have bid them goodbye through our determination to have powerful thoughts, to create newness in ourselves, and by keeping Godly directions as our guiding light."

Part 1 Question and Answer

Old sanskars

Q:  However, for some of us, no matter how determined we are, no matter how powerful we think our thoughts are, we just cannot get rid of our deepest and oldest sanskars. So, where are we going wrong?

Sudesh Didi: Om shanti. It is a pleasure to see all of you here and to welcome those who are joining online. I welcome and am open to any questions you may have.

First, let us talk about success being our birthright. On Sunday, the Murli had a powerful slogan: “Make courage your companion and you will achieve success in every deed.” “Saahas ko saathee bana lo to har karm mein saphalata milatee rahegee.” When you make courage your companion, success will follow you. However, having the courage to let go is the key. We often wonder why it takes us so long to do this. The reason is that we have developed these sanskars over time. They are our creations, and we convinced ourselves that they were right. We nurtured these seeds for a long time, not out of attachment, but because of liking. We liked doing those things. But now, we have realised that they do not bring us true joy. So, we want to renounce them. Why do we want to do this now? It is because we have come to the realisation that we took the wrong path, thinking it was the right one. But now, we are turning back and finding the right path once again.

I would like you to visualise a piece of paper in your mind and draw the picture of a cycle. Start by drawing a cross in the middle. Then, draw the Golden Age and the Silver Age, forming a swastika shape. (Didi demonstrated by drawing on a sheet of paper.) This is what we have (Didi showed it to everyone), the cycle of these four stages. Currently, we are in the Confluence Age and we need to turn right. Baba says that we need to stand at the top, become a detached observer, and see where we went wrong. Now, we have to go in the right direction.

So, we developed these sanskars because we recognised what was right. And that is why we can change them. We have the power to transform our sanskars and make them divine. However, according to the drama of time, we have to leave them behind because in the Golden Age or in the soul world, we cannot enter with old baggage. The soul world is a pure world, and the Golden Age is a world of happiness. Impurity and sorrow cannot exist there. The matter and mind are pure, so our consciousness also needs to be pure. As we move towards this world, we must ensure that we are moving in the right direction (Didi demonstrating by pointing to signal cycle turning clockwise). When we are in the Golden Age, we are right. As time progresses, we keep moving, and that line (Golden Age section) we were once following begins to descend. Yet, we don't realise that we are going downwards because we still think we are right. With the passage of time, our consciousness changes and we start accepting small things as right, even when they make us careless. (Didi turns the paper 90 degrees right with Silver Age on the top) In the Silver Age, we think we are right as well, but we are actually moving downwards. We still believe we are right as time continues to pass. We keep turning towards what we think is right. (Didi turns the paper 90 degrees right with Copper Age on the top) Eventually, we find ourselves in the Iron Age, still considering ourselves to be right. But in reality, we are going downward. This is the cycle we hold, and we didn't realise the truth. We firmly believed, "I am this body. What's wrong with that? How can I not say that I am so and so? I have good qualities and abilities. Why can't I assert my right to say that I am right?" Even when we are wrong, we refuse to accept it. And in this way, as time changes, our consciousness also changes.

And now is the most important time for us to change. For example, if I were to mistakenly say today is the second of January 2023, you would correct me and say, "No, no, no, it's wrong. It's actually 2024." In this present moment, we are aware that this is the right time for change. It is important to realise that these sanskars do not belong to us. However, we have held onto them for a long time, and our understanding has changed. Yet, attachment still remains. It has become something that we believe belongs to us. But now, in realisation, we understand that negativity does not belong to us when we are soul conscious. This is why we need the courage to acknowledge that it does not belong to us. We must then take action and create new sanskars. This is why it can be difficult. Even if we practise powerful meditation and burn our old sanskars, but if I don't create the new sanskars then I would not go in the Golden Age. It requires both the power of yoga and the power of elevated actions. When we have enthusiasm and courage to perform elevated actions, our negative actions automatically diminish. Another secret is that they not only diminish, but we also conquer them. It's like a battle between two parties, one with 1,000 soldiers and the other with 500 soldiers. Although the latter has fewer soldiers, they are powerful and courageous, fighting for their country. When they conquer the 1,000 soldiers, the energy shifts to the righteous side. The practical result is that the weaker sanskars are transformed, and we live in a world of divine sanskars. This is the happiness of the Happy New World, the Happy New Year.

Sister Dipti: So, what I understand from that, which is helpful for me and hopefully for everybody, is that we are paying too much attention to the old sanskars by not creating the new. We're stuck on the old, so, we're actually feeding those old seeds. Instead of acquiring new seeds and planting them, we continue to water the old ones. So, that's why we get stuck with our old sanskars. We overthink about them, that we need to let go of them. But the more we think about them, the more energy we are actually giving them. Instead, we should be focusing on planting new seeds and nurturing them. This is why we get stuck with our old sanskars. I also appreciate the double meaning of left and right. Left is what is left behind, and going in the right direction is in the right way.

Sudesh Didi: So, the realisation is that it is my personal decision and determination to change my sanskars, and for what purpose? For the Golden Age. With God's directions and His companionship, with His power working, certainly, it will help me in this transformation. Therefore, I need to have trust in myself, faith in myself, faith in time, and one hundred percent sure that following God's direction is the right thing to do.

Sister Dipti: Thank you. Success is our birthright.

Brahma, Vishu and Shankar

Q:   This is a question from the teachers online and in the room. It's about the lesson of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shankar. So, how would you best explain this lesson to a student from a Western background, someone who doesn't have any exposure to Bharat or any Indian culture?

Sudesh Didi:  God is called God. Each letter in the word "GOD" holds a meaningful message and function. Brahma, Vishnu Shankar are actually the tasks that God has to perform. These figures are symbolic representations because they are not the physical bodies. They are the images of perfection, or action that God intends to fulfil on this planet. And this energy associated with these tasks encompasses the creation, transformation, and sustenance; these are the three tasks of God.

G stands for Generator, O stands for Operator, and D represents the Destroyer of ignorance, or the Director of righteousness, or the Dispeller of darkness, as He is knowledgeful. Now, the question arises: how can we manifest these concepts on this planet? So, it is just like how a teacher uses visual images to teach children. God also keep these three in the subtle region, which I think, it's the Office of God, which is temporary. It is just like an architect who creates a blueprint and keeps a model of the building. This is because God's task is the creation of the new world. But at this moment, the destruction of the old is also needed, and the purpose of creation is not only to create but also to sustain.

So, these are the three powers representing the wisdom, truth, and purity of God:

Brahma represents the power of knowledge. Knowledge is given through Brahma, and when we have this knowledge and realisation, it enables us to cleanse and purify ourselves. Therefore, Brahma means knowledge and purity.

Shankar represents the power of transformation and the practical dispelling of darkness. This transformation requires the support of power, which comes directly from God. Knowledge alone may not bring about quick transformation, but with the power of knowledge, light becomes might. So, Shankar is depicted in a meditative state, symbolising the application of power attained through having yoga with the Supreme.

Brahma means knowledge, Shankar means yoga, but it should be balanced. Knowledge alone, just existing in our heads or just sitting in meditation, is not enough. We must also put that knowledge into action. Vishnu, is in front of us, representing becoming worthy and powerful, facilitating transformation, and sustaining that elevated state..

Vishnu is represented by the four arms and it symbolises the four subjects we study. So, first subject is the study here in this university. Then, self-realisation, swadarshanchakra (discus of self-realisation). Yoga is the controlling power, transformation within the self.  Lotus signifies living in this world, but imbibing the divine virtues and detachment.  By serving others and imbibing knowledge, we transform the world. This is the aim and objective of our study.

When we study, we become divine beings. What kind of divine beings? Healthy, wealthy, happy, prosperous, beautiful, with a long life, and living in harmony. Vishnu represents the embodiment of everything we achieve through knowledge, yoga, and elevated actions.

So, this is the aim that is in front of us. We are Brahmins, but we are in the corporeal world, which is why the corporeal form of Brahma is depicted. This means that we study knowledge. It does not mean that we physically become four-armed people. Instead, it represents becoming a harmonious person who embodies all these qualities. This is why God is referred to as Trimurti, the Trinity.

So, creation, transformation, and sustenance is done by us. O, it is our picture, that of beautiful ornaments, good health, wealth, beauty, perfect nature, and harmonious relationships between husband and wife.

Indian culture commonly uses a variety of images to depict concepts. This form of presentation involves using language in conjunction with artwork and actors in drama to convey a message. The language presented by God is depicted through words, while the artist creates the picture to represent it. Similarly, actors in a drama bring the message to life. It is a subtle form of language, used to explain complex concepts to the children.

Gita Pathshala

Q:   I have a question from a new student. And that is about the term Gita Pathshala. How and when was the term created? And what does it actually mean?

Sudesh Didi:  Actually, "Pathshala" means a place of study or school. God has opened a school for us where we learn everything as children, but the knowledge is given by the Supreme Himself. This knowledge is known as the knowledge of the Gita. The Gita is actually a divine song. So, God's knowledge is very sweet and filled with divinity.

So, there are many schools on the path of devotion where people keep a scripture. But, this is not reading scripture. It is not a school where we read the Gita book. Instead, we directly learn what God is teaching us. This is why it is referred to as a school. People can have this gathering at their home.

So, it is not officially a university, but rather a task of one-to-one. Similar to a private tutor teaching someone, this knowledge can also be taught privately at home, in one's own space. The centre itself is big; those who come here may aim to teach their friends or children. For convenience, they open this study place, and if it grows larger, it becomes registered as a centre. But, before it becomes a centre, it must first provide practical training for those living in their families, and also demonstrate the practical result and benefits gained from this knowledge.

Repetition of the Cycle

Q:   I have another question from a new student, but it is also linked to a question that us old Brahmins have. It is about drama and the cycle. Firstly, as soon as students understand about the cycle, and that there is repetition, the first question they have is why they had to come down and then go back up again. What is the point of going round and round?

Sudesh Didi:  Beautiful. It is a question that almost all of us have, not just some. But the question is: who comes again? It is not the body that comes, but rather the souls. Why do they come? This is because this is such a deep psychology of the soul and the existence of the soul. The soul is a living energy that, in order to feel its own worth and value, wants to express, experience, and share those experiences with others. So, we come here to truly express and experience ourselves. Deep within, it is about maintaining the value of ourselves.

For example, consider the seeds of something, a bag full of 100 or 1000 seeds, which you keep somewhere safe. You can keep them for 10 years or five years, and the bag will remain the same; the value does not increase. However, out of that bag, you only plant 10 seeds. There needs to be another element involved for this process.

In the soul world, we don't increase, express, or share. We are like sleeping.

Here, this inner energy is like nobody waking it, but it wakes up automatically according to time. It's similar to when we sleep at night and say, "I am going to sleep for a long time; nobody should wake me up," and suddenly we wake up. When this body absorbs that energy, we awaken. So, time wakes us up. But deep within, my value is only realised when I am connected with other elements. Therefore, we need a body to express ourselves. That's why we come here.

Because this bag full of 1000 seeds does not hold as much value as even a single fruit or a basket of fruit. You can buy one basket of fruit for a higher price or sometimes even a single fruit for a higher price than these 1000 seeds. So, my value increases here.

That is why God says the Confluence Age is the most valuable time because here you recognise that you would come in the Golden Age. You should come in the first birth, the first kingdom, the first time, at the age of 1-1-1. We recognise this, which is why the soul comes down, and even those who have become tired and did not want to come, eventually they also come.

Why is the population increasing? If I was happy in the Soul World, I should stay, but constantly, souls are coming down. And they cannot go until they have completed the cycle.

Sister Dipti: Making effort again. The students ask, "Well, okay, so we're making an effort now to improve ourselves, purify ourselves, and then we have to do it again."

Sudesh Didi: Of course, it is a law of nature. People say, "Oh, if I have to fall down, why should I make an effort?" But it is the law of nature. Drama means two things that are very important to understand. The soul is acting and expressing itself on the field of action. But where? On this planet, where there are five elements, and the law of nature is that everything in this world repeats. Our system repeats: morning, afternoon, evening, and night, and morning again. New things become old. But people are afraid and have not understood the secret. We do actually follow the laws of nature, but we are afraid to follow or give importance to the laws of spirituality. But we follow the laws of nature, and we never question them.

For example, suppose I build this house, and after 100 years, it will become old. Why should I build it if it becomes old after 100 years? Or I have children, why should I make so much effort or spend so much money and teach them if they will die anyway? (All laughed) But why am I doing this? Or I eat food every day, and I know tomorrow I will get hungry. It would be better if I don't eat. (All laughed)

Sister Dipti: That's not going to happen. (Everyone laughed)

Sudesh Didi: I sleep every day, and I know I have to get up. It would be better if I don't sleep. Or I shouldn't buy new clothes because they will get old. But what is wrong with spirituality? So, everything has this law of nature and the law of spirituality. It renews, and when you start again, there is new enthusiasm, new courage, and new joy.

Sister Dipti: It is accepting all the cycles together with this cycle. Once you understand this new knowledge of the cycle, new students may get stuck in it. But if you put it together with all the other cycles in life, then it has a different meaning.

Sudesh Didi: The old cycle of life, actually, only this time we understand. When we are coming down, we don't understand. When we go into the Golden Age, we forget, and it is important to forget this. So, this is why you only enjoy drama when you see it scene by scene. If the whole drama is put together, it will be a mess. So, it's like step by step, step by step, step by step.

Understanding drama’s purpose

Q:   Very nice. Thank you. So, regarding this element of drama, Baba says everything is accurate in drama. Whatever happened in the previous kalpa, it will happen again. And then Baba also says that if we wish to, we can change the drama with our effort. We can make it good. So, can you help clarify this?

Sudesh Didi:  See, the reason why people are afraid of the repetition of drama is because we only look at this life. We do not remember our other lives, and it is a blessing that we don't remember. If we remembered, everyone would go mad. We would lose all power and we would not be able to adjust the action-reaction theory. But where do we go wrong? "Oh, it will repeat again, drama will repeat again. I don't want to repeat. Why? Will I get the same mother-in-law? Will I get the same husband?" (All laughed) We think that we have to go through the same things, without understanding that it will repeat after 5000 years. So why am I worrying about it?

Now, okay, I understand because I am mixing something that has already passed, and that has created fear or depression in me. Why am I bringing it into the new basket? That old thing, that mistake I made. You have a basket full of fruits, and one rotten fruit. If you put it in the new basket, the whole basket will be rotten. So, that has passed and will come to pass again after 5000 years. Enjoy the new 5000 years that you have to do. So, then we understand the secret, we don't lose our courage, we don't lose enthusiasm.

But laziness and carelessness bring obstacles, our own habits, our own nature. So, that's why it's important that repetition serves a purpose. It has a purpose, so that I am able to emerge again, following the law of nature. The seed that I have from the fruit, when I plant it again, it will become the same. A mango cannot become a chili next time.

Sister Dipti: I like mangoes better. (All laughed)

Sudesh Didi: It has to be the same because the potential capacity and sanskars, which I carry with me and come back with, are the same. So, it's not anybody else's fault. It's my fault how I see it and how we apply it.

Living with Brahma Baba

Q:   This is something from the Children's class. Sister Vrinda, who is 10 years old, is asking what it was like living with Brahma Baba.

Sudesh Didi:  Every moment was beautiful, loving, caring, just like parents with their children and children with their parents. But Brahma Baba had a special quality, he was a friend as well. At that time, he acted as a teacher and he would give connections. He would provide support to those who were losing faith or struggling. His concern was to uplift them, being friendly, motherly, and loving. He would write letters to the children every day, and if anyone sent him a letter, Baba would definitely reply. It wasn't just about solving their problems; it was also about love and remembrance.

So, to live with Baba was just like living in a real family, experiencing a real feeling of closeness not only with Baba but also with all those who were present at that time. They had also developed the same kind of personality, and even now, it is Baba's knowledge that creates this family. It is Baba's knowledge that we studied together in school. But the difference is that at that time, the number of people was fewer and there were greater opportunities. That is definitely different.

It was wonderful. Whenever we arrived in Madhuban from our place, we would leave our luggage, take a shower, and then go and say hello to Baba. I remember, the second time we went, there were a few of us kumaris and we were very excited. We got dressed and wanted to go say hello to Baba right away. But Lacchu Dadi told us, "No, no, you cannot come yet. First, go eat, and then come back later." But since we really wanted to meet Baba, we insisted that we would meet him first. So, one of the kumaris started singing.

(Sudesh Didi started singing aloud the song "Ehsan Tera Hoga Mujh Par"):

Ehsan tera hoga mujh par,
Dil chahta hai woh kehne do
Mujhe tumse mohabbat ho gayi
Hai mujhe palko ki chav me rehne do

(I will be indebted to you,

If you let me tell you what my heart desires.

I have fallen in love with you,

Let me dwell in the shadow of your eyelashes.)

(Everyone applauded)

Baba heard the song and asked, "Who is singing?" The lyrics of the song mean, "Oh God, Oh Baba, I will be grateful to you. Let me come in. I want to be under the shadow of your eyes. I love you." When Baba heard the song and asked who was singing, Lacchu Dadi replied, "It was the kumari." So, Baba said, "Call them."

In the same way, there were many times after class when it would happen. During Baba's breakfast time, sometimes just before we would go for breakfast, we would enter Baba's room. Baba would ask, "Bachcha, have you had breakfast?" I would reply, "No, Baba, I'm going to have it." He would then say, "Okay, sit down there." There would be a very small table with only two chairs, and we would sit down and have breakfast together.

Sometimes in the evening, Baba would have soup and say, "Bachcha, shoraba milegee" (Child, have some soup). I would initially decline, saying, "No, no, Baba." But he would insist, saying, "Taste it." It was a combination of friendly love and a sense of balance. If you were careless or inattentive, he would playfully say, "Buddhu, your yoga is not good. You don't have yoga power." There was always a correct balance of discipline and love in every aspect.

We felt that even Baba's corrections and direct words, which might be strong for some people, were not actually strong. They were filled with love, and this is what I personally experienced. For example, Baba came to Delhi, and there's a story associated with it. At that time, we had a big hall where Baba was invited by the minister of the military force department. Every day, 600 soldiers would come and listen to Baba's Murli. After that, a sister would play songs on a gramophone record since we didn't have tapes at that time.

On that particular day, Baba came to the class, but the sister who usually played the songs didn't come. I thought, "Now Baba is here, someone should play the song." I always sat near Baba. There is even a photograph from that programme, and I went and played the song.

Baba said, "Child, play one line at a time. Baba will give the meaning of the song." I started playing, and the song was "Tumhi ho mata, pita tumhi ho, Tumhi ho bandhu, sakha tumhi ho." These two verses repeated again and again: You are my mother, you are my father. You are my brother. You are my friend.

As I played, I lifted the needle handle, and Baba spoke for about 3 to 4 minutes. When he signalled, I put the needle down, but the same chorus, "Tumhi ho mata..." continued to play. It happened the same way on the third attempt. Baba then said, "Buddhu," (All chuckled). “Baba is like the dancing girl and you are the musician. How can the dancing girl dance if the music is not played correctly?”

After that, I became very careful. Before lifting the needle of the gramophone record, I would use my finger to learn the correct position. Baba never liked one line of that song: "Tumharay charanon ke dhul hum hain," which means "we are the dust of your feet." So, we had to be careful not to play that line.

Anyway, I had such intoxication that Baba danced to my tune. This incident took place at Rajouri Garden, where I was staying. There was a large class there, and another brother was responsible for monitoring the evening class to revise the Murli. So, in the evening, he came and I asked him, "Surendra, isn't it time for the Murli Revision class?" He replied, "Not today, I haven't revised it." I asked him why, and he said that he was upset that Baba had called me buddhu (fool) in front of so many people. I told Surendra, "You are truly a buddhu." Baba had the right to call me that. Throughout the day, I had the intoxication that I was the musician and Baba was the dancing girl. He danced to my tune. I felt that my relationship with Baba was so close. If he could praise me, many times in the night class, he appreciated me because we could hear the results of the service happening and then appreciate it. He had the right to correct me. I didn't feel that it was wrong in any way. When there is love, faith, and closeness with each other, you enjoy everything.

Baba used to play badminton, and when the brothers were washing their clothes, Baba would help wash the clothes as well. Simple things like cleaning grains would also be done in Baba's presence. Mama and Baba would come and sit there. It was also a yukti (method) that if two or three mothers were cleaning grains, it would take longer, but if Baba and Mama came, many people would also come, and the bag of grains or daal would be cleaned quickly.

And sometimes, of course, magic would also take place. One evening, I was in Baba's room when Bholi Dadi came in and said, "Baba, the milk has gone off. Many people will come to take the milk, it's a habit for everyone. I only have buttermilk left for making yogurt tomorrow because some groups were there that would specifically request buttermilk for their food, especially the South Indian people." Baba replied, "Child, Baba will come to give milk."

Initially, I thought she was saying that there was no milk to give to everyone. However, if Baba were to come, everyone would come. Anyway, Baba came and sat down. At that time, the kitchen was also small, and Baba sat on a higher stool and started giving milk. As the word spread that Baba was giving milk, even those who were sleeping came. Baba gave milk to everyone. It was a wonder; everyone received the milk. Moreover, there was still enough left to make yogurt. It was a wonder. Everyone was happy to take Baba's drishti, and nobody was looking at the milk, no one paid attention to the quantity of milk they received. Everyone was simply happy.

The image of love

Q:   Today's topic is unlimited love. Baba has spoken about transforming a situation. Baba speaks about transforming a situation with the coolness of love by always being the image of love. So, how can we keep our image of love constant?

Sudesh Didi:  Baba has also given this method, directions, and teachings. When some situation arises that is not according to your preference or not happening at the time you desire, or when someone's behaviour is not right, Baba teaches us not to focus on what they have done wrong. If we do focus on their wrongdoings, our reaction of anger, dissatisfaction, or non-acceptance will prevent us from maintaining a sense of coolness within ourselves.

So, in order to maintain the coolness of love, the first practice is to have a soul-conscious vision. If I am not in a state of soul consciousness, I cannot remain calm. At such times, the mind and intellect are very active, ready to react in a state of body consciousness. So, the foundational aspect is soul consciousness and love for our own stage.

If I maintain love for my own stage, then naturally my main qualities, purity and peace, will emerge. A pure mind and a calm mind are essential for love to exist, not only for others but also for myself. So, I must either adopt a positive attitude when witnessing negativity or recognise that by harbouring negative habits, I am compromising my own honour and self-respect.

In reality, if I am not good with others or if I am angry with someone, despite their goodwill, mercy, and good wishes towards me, they will also question my reactions. Especially after spending a long time in knowledge, they may think, "Being in gyan for such a long time, look at how she reacted."

By guarding the secrets of my own stage and developing good qualities, a sense of control will naturally arise. Of course, without attaining a yogi stage, it is impossible to maintain a calm mind. Harmonious nature is also crucial for maintaining coolness. Being humble and egoless contribute to remaining cool, as coolness itself is a virtue. So, it requires practice, time, attention, and respect for other souls to cultivate and uphold this quality.

Part 2 Conversations between Sudesh Didi and Sister Maureen

Sister Maureen: Om shanti. Some of us are here, and there are well over a hundred online (152 online and 43 in-house). Quite a gathering. I wanted to take this opportunity before you fly to Bharat on Thursday to interview you and ask, will you miss us during all those months? You may not be back until May. Will you miss us?

Sudesh Didi: It is not a question of missing; it is actually certain things that we automatically receive and share with each other when we are together. So, certain occasions will be different in Bharat. And in this way, definitely, this family will come to mind. When I went to Germany, after a few months, I took some time. Dadi Janki, Jayanti bhen, and myself were sitting on a swing. Dadi asked me, "Everything's okay?" I replied, "Yes." I also mentioned that one thing I miss is our nice chit chat and good discussions here. So, I miss Dadi and I miss Jayanti bhen as well. But why am I missing? I am missing something that I was enjoying and that was beneficial for me. It also means that there are certain things I have to handle now. Before, we were here and Dadi took care of everything. But things have changed, and in this aspect, it means what practical benefit we gain, what we give to each other, and how we support and understand each other. So, that takes time.

Sister Maureen: I know that many of us will be coming to Madhuban at this time. So, we will see you. And time passes very quickly, more and more quickly. But really, we're very honoured that Baba has given you this role as joint administrative head. And you have all our good wishes. A very big thank you for the continuous love and support. And that will continue until the end of the kalpa. So, I want everyone to just give you a hug (The whole audience gestures a hug to Sudesh Didi). Thank you so much. We wish you a safe journey and we'll meet you in Madhuban. And we'll keep calling you now and then, so you won't be far from us.

Sudesh Didi: Certainly, because Madhuban is home and seva. And this is actually home.

Sister Maureen: Absolutely.

Sudesh Didi: Coming and going according to the timetable there. So, I say thanks to all. Definitely, some are online. Maybe we're not meeting physically, but Om shanti to them as well.

Sister Maureen: Jayanti bhen has fixed her return date. We had better pin you down as well. Thank you so much on behalf of everyone. Paresh bhai is saying that you have let out a secret, that if we want to come and see you, we just stand outside your room and sing. (Sudesh Didi and everyone laughed) A good idea. Sister Naina is suggesting that if we all sing from here, then we'll pull you back to London. (All laughed) Good plan.

Sudesh Didi: Thank you, thank you.

Sister Jasu: In this week's Murli, Baba is remembering you and saying that you're a very clever teacher.

Sister Maureen: It will be the Murli on 5th January when you will be travelling to Madhuban. In that Murli, Baba is remembering you and saying that you are a very clever teacher.

Sudesh Didi: Student. (All laughed)

Sister Maureen: (From Sakar Murli 5th January 2024) "So, the names of you children should also be glorified. The Father glorifies the names of the children. Daughter Sudesh is very clever at explaining. She has made a lot of effort and has thereby gone ahead of the older ones. She can make more effort in this too and go ahead of others. Everything depends on effort. One shouldn’t have heart failure. Even if you come at the end, you can still attain liberation-in-life in a second.”

(All applauded)

Sudesh Didi: Thanks to all of you. Thanks to Jayanti bhen, thanks to Baba's family. Thanks to all of you who have given me the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful family, company, and everything. The place itself, Baba's family, company, and opportunity. Om shanti.

The Significance Of Christmas - A Conversation Between Sister Jayanti and Sudesh Didi on the Evening of 24th December, 2023 at GCH, London

6 January 2024

Sister Nina:

Good evening. Om shanti. It is a lovely scene from this end because I am sitting at the front. A very warm welcome to all of us, including myself, Sister Jayanti, and Sudesh Didi. So it's Christmas Eve, and it's quietening down outside. I had to walk here because the buses have started slowing down. So it was quite a hectic and lovely experience because I could feel the cool air on my face, and I could breathe. I was sweating a bit, but I have cooled down now. So that's nice. It's a real privilege to be sitting here with a view to start this conversation with Sudesh Didi and Jayanti bhen, and it's really nice to see you all. It looks as if it's a lovely, cozy atmosphere, which is really what people try to create around Christmas time, isn't it? People want to spend time together, either within the context of a family or perhaps with loved ones. And so, this is what we're doing too.

The topic of this evening's conversation is really about the spiritual and religious significance of Christmas. And in order to keep it focused, we will discuss how we, as a spiritual family, impact the world. The main emphasis is on the family, not just us as a spiritual family, but all families coming together during Christmas.

For me, the main feature of this spiritual and religious significance of Christmas is the expansion of our inner light. We express this through happiness, and each person expresses their happiness based on their level of consciousness and awareness.

So yesterday, while I was going home from class, I noticed that there was a long queue stretching all the way around the corner at the butcher's shop. There were about 50 people waiting to purchase meat. This is another way of expressing happiness, different from how we may perceive it. People do what they need to do in order to connect with that happiness within themselves.

Now, let's focus on the lights of the Christmas tree. These lights are symbolic of the inverted Tree of Souls in Paramdham. I have always loved this image because it is so beautiful and unique. It's something that one cannot relate to at this level. When I first took the course and saw it, I was filled with excitement. It is not only beautiful but also holds a deep meaning for me. In every culture around the world, the idea of the kalpa tree is replicated to represent identity, family lineages, and ancestry within those cultures.

For me, there is a direct connection between the Christmas tree and the beginning of our spiritual family in the Confluence Age. So, what is the aim of our dialogue this evening? We want to discuss the spiritual and religious significance of Christmas, but more importantly, we want to spend this evening as a family, acknowledging and celebrating our role as the first family, the First Family. We want to recognise how, as a spiritual family, we have a significant impact on the world, and also explore how we can improve in doing so.

The concept of family originated with the number one subtle Parent, Shiv Baba, who gave birth to Brahma Baba. Through Brahma Baba, the mouth-born creation came into existence, and from there, two children were born at the beginning of time. These children became adults and started the family that we are now building in our consciousness. As ancestor souls, it is our responsibility to take the lead and be the change we wish to see in the world. We are the roots of the human world tree, the microcosm that expands into the macrocosm. And whatever we do, the rest of humanity does. Wherever we go, the rest of humanity follows. We took them away from God. And it's now time for us to take them back to God. This is deep, and I need to be part of a family in order to learn how to do this because it's a big responsibility.

We are currently in a situation where the world is spiralling out of control. It is important for us to be aware of this. We, as the ground breakers, set the scene for the family as a social institution in the world. The family is a social institution, we started that. We are the ones who cast the die, we are the ones who make up the roots of the tree of 8.5 billion souls as the ancestor souls. However, it feels like there is something else that we need to do, something that we are not currently doing, to speed up the shift in our own transformation, and the shift in world transformation.

Now, after introducing the topic, I have some questions for all of us to explore. This conversation is not just between myself, Jayanti bhen, and Sudesh Didi. It is open for all of you to pick up on what we have discussed and participate as well.

We can come back to these questions at a later point for further discussion.

Brahmins are examples

Sister Nina

Here are the questions: To what extent are we serving as examples for the rest of humanity and the world to follow? Is it possible that the current events on the world stage are a clear reflection of what we have not yet been able to master individually and collectively as a spiritual family?

Sudesh Didi:

Om shanti. Welcome! We are a family, no doubt about it. The atmosphere has been buzzing for the past week. Every corner of the kitchen is filled with activity. Mince pies are being baked, biscuits are being made, and tolis are being made. It's that special feeling of Christmas, the day of Jesus, or rather, it feels like a marriage between all of us and the Supreme Being. Such great joy and a deep sense of belonging to each other. People of all ages, whether young or old, are dancing and communicating in such a beautiful way. They don't necessarily have to speak to each other. When love is present, the eyes automatically express what words cannot convey. The joy is expressed from the heart, and smiles are seen everywhere.

So, another aspect is the concept of a family. As you mentioned, in the realm of religion and spirituality, each religion is established by its founder. And then, certain things are set up as patterns, originally. These patterns continue, and gradually, new ideas, fresh creativity comes into play, mixing into the original patterns. People want to present things in their own unique way, saying, "We are also doing the same." Naturally, when an older sibling is doing something, the younger ones will try to copy them. The younger one will also do the same if the older one is saying "Mama" to her mother or "Papa" to their father. But there is a difference between them, like trying to see your own face through somebody else's eyes. Of course, the mirror is in front of us, but in order to see my face, I need to have the mirror right in front of me. Not only that, I need light and sight to see. So, in order to stay close to what is reality, this is called spirituality becoming reality in our lives. The soul in spirituality is this living light; as you mentioned earlier, the key word is light, and light is life. There are memorials of this everywhere, and also of the trees. A tree means that the seed is only one, the seed is the foundation, from which all the branches and sub-branches of different religions emerge.

So, God is the Seed of the Human World Tree and, at the same time, the Father of all souls. But how does it become the human tree? When human beings are in a state of body consciousness, they naturally imitate each other. We often copy or compete with each other, trying to prove who is greater. When reality is there, it means spirituality is present. Body consciousness is just like a picture we present, while spirituality represents the values we imbibe. Gradually, as one follows another, copying rituals, whether it be for Indian Diwali or other religious festivals, it remains just a ritual. Spirituality, on the other hand, signifies experiencing things firsthand. Otherwise, we are simply singing the praise of someone else's experiences. Others may say that a certain sweet is deliciously sweet, and we say “I was told it is very sweet.”  But you cannot taste the sweetness. You can only taste the sweetness when you actually eat it. So, individuals begin to focus on the self and their own spiritual journey.

And then, many of these living lights ignite each other, creating a tree that is not limited to just keeping the light within boundaries, but it becomes unlimited. This is what we witness now, expansion. But, the truth is that we are the ones who start the beginning from the seed, and then progress to Adam and Eve, or you can say, Brahma and Saraswati. Brahma represents purity and Saraswati represents wisdom, these being the two main powers in spirituality. Purity is the mother of peace and happiness, while wisdom guides us to perform actions without fear, with the right understanding and consciousness. When these powers are aligned, spirituality becomes our authority.

Now, when we realise that we are all creations of the One Creator, children of the Father of humanity, the concept of family becomes apparent. Gradually, as souls waiting above come down and we acknowledge all the religious founders, the entire world becomes a real tree. This fulfils what God wants, for us to give reality to everyone, ensuring that no one remains orphaned and connecting them with the Supreme Being. All religions can recognise and realise the One, pointing out, "This is the One."

Up until now, we have visited many places and people often tell us that what we are teaching is the same as what their Guruji or the founder of their religion teaches, and only the words are different. But the real difference lies in a direct or indirect connection. When spirituality is present, our relationship with the Supreme is direct, the souls belong to the Supreme and in this connection, the Supreme allows our consciousness to remain free. And we need somebody to be the example. And so, these two leaves, Brahma and Saraswati. Like the natural process of a seed sprouting in nature, these two leaves gradually emerge. Their strength, spirituality, and the reality of purity, love, wisdom, happiness, and truth become the trunk of the tree. As time goes on, spirituality expands, yet the strength still lies in the roots. We become connected to the roots once again. So, it is our duty to glorify the One, to glorify God, and in doing so, the children automatically become glorified. God wants us to be glorified.

2  Aware and aligned for transformation

Sister Nina

And I think what I'm trying to explore is just reviewing our role. Are we really being aware of all the things that you've just said? Are we aware? Are we awake, alive, alert, and focused on truly stepping in their footsteps? And carrying that torch and really bringing about world transformation, not just world transformation, but self-transformation, followed by world transformation.

Sister Jayanti

I see how all religions have moved away from the Seed, whether it was the deity religion or all the other traditions, and that word religio, to go back to the origin and reconnect with the origin. All religions have forgotten this. Baba's Incarnation, as the Seed coming back, serves as a reminder for us. Those who follow a yogic path are aware of this, but from time to time, we forget and get caught up in external matters. If we constantly keep in our minds the consciousness of who we are and who we belong to, then Dadi's three mantras come into play: who am I, who do I belong to, and what is it that I need to do? So, I think that Christmas has come as a timely reminder for all of us of what we need to be doing at this moment.

You know how every festival has lost its sacred meaning and has just become caught up in commercialism. That applies to Diwali, as well as Christmas and all the other traditions. But Christmas is supposed to be a sacred time. We sing Silent Night, but we don't actually experience the Silent Night. If we were to truly benefit from the sacred space that Christmas offers and become aware of who we are and what we need to do, I believe we would be able to help Baba in His task of reestablishing peace in a more powerful way.

On the other side, I see that it's a very natural development of the drama. I was reading a Murli this morning, which is about to come later on. In that Murli, Baba mentioned that before the end can come, things have to reach an extreme point. And that is what we are witnessing at the moment, an extreme in all aspects of degradation. On the other side, Baba is inspiring us to uplift ourselves with purity, peace, and spiritual power through the truth that He is sharing. It serves as a reminder for us. It's good that there are four days of holidays, giving everyone a chance to not just enjoy, but also go into a deeper awareness of what this time is really all about.

Sudesh Didi

It's just like a cycle. As Jayanti bhen mentioned, we are currently in a time of extreme darkness, but after the dark night, a bright day will come. So now is the time for us to bring this lightness and bright consciousness into each individual soul. This is based on knowledge, as knowledge is light; knowledge is might. The soul itself is also light, and God the Supreme is also a light. With this understanding, our relationship with each other becomes real because we are all children of the same Parent. We call it a brotherhood since we are souls, the creations of the Supreme Soul. But it is the qualities that God instils in us. It all begins with knowledge. When you know something, you gain confidence, and there is an inherent sense of security. With knowledge, satisfaction arises, and satisfaction brings peace. The messengers throughout history have brought different messages. It could be love, discipline, or silence. Buddha brought the message of silence, Jesus brought love, or rekindled I would say, and Moses brought discipline. There is a difference between internal discipline and external discipline.

 3 Acceptance of our role

Sister Nina

The question is, to what extent are we doing that? And that is my emphasis, my focus at the moment. I have been contemplating the extent to which we accept our role as leaders, the ones who, as I mentioned before, cast the die and took them away from God. It is now time for us to bring them back to God. We started everything in the confluence age. Whatever is happening in the world at the moment, it feels like, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like I am responsible for all those things that I am judging others for. They are killing each other, and other things are happening that I disdainfully judge. I'm wondering to what extent I need to accept that I played a part in starting those actions at some point in the cycle. And to what extent do I need to forgive myself? By doing so, I can actually see everyone with eyes of love, regardless of what they are doing or how much they may have hurt me. Perhaps we need to go through the various stages of bereavement and grief, and only by accepting can we truly resolve it. I am wondering if the same process applies to us.

Sister Jayanti

Baba is already aware of that. This is why Baba speaks the sort of Murli we heard this morning. This morning's Murli is exactly what you're talking about: the ability to accept each one as they are within the family, and then extending that acceptance to the unlimited human family as well. But it all starts here. Whatever is happening here, starts here (within). So yes, I need to remind myself of my role and what I need to do to bring about change within my consciousness.

There's a young man who is 40 now. He has been going to Madhuban and following Brahmin principles all along. He first went to Madhuban when he was about 10. He told me that there's one thing Dada Vishwa Ratan taught him during his first visit to Madhuban. Dada told him, "When you look at somebody, don't look anywhere else. Just look at the centre of their forehead." He took this instruction seriously and has practised it ever since. It seems like such a basic thing, but it can easily slip away because it may seem too simple. I believe that it's through this kind of practice that we can truly transform ourselves.

I don't want us to get caught up in the grief of "woe is me," I've done all of this, and the guilt and the burden and so on. Instead, I'm focused on ways for us to move forward. I understand that when Brahma Baba became worthy of worship, we became the same when Baba went through the cycle and became a worshipper we also followed. So, everything you shared is true. But what matters now is what I am going to do about it at this moment. And I think coming back to that very, very basic idea seeing each one as a soul, a shining star, and accepting their unique specialties and roles, is very different from. Whatever their role may be, they are playing their role accurately. And so that acceptance I have today will serve as the preparation for me to interact with them in a manner that upholds their dignity, respect, and love. And this will then extend out further from there.

And you know how Baba tells us that where respect begins. It doesn't begin by receiving or giving it. Instead, it depends on to what extent I am able to see myself as an inner being and become aware of my eternal dignity, connecting with my inner values so that I can truly respect myself. I don't think anybody can truly respect themselves unless they understand what Baba is saying about knowing their original values and qualities and stay connected with them.

Today, Baba was talking about how anger gets dispelled if you remember your own original qualities. This applies in a deep way. When I come back to that real awareness and practise this, there are moments when I remind myself that I am here (Sister Jayanti pointing at the forehead), but then the next moment, I hear or see something and I'm no longer present; I am here (Sister Jayanti pointing at the eyes). It fluctuates from moment to moment. That's why Baba uses both expressions, as it requires effort. Yet, it is also very simple. So, how do we reconcile this paradox? It is a reality that is indeed very simple, but it also requires constant, constant attention. So, I think we all need to return to basic principles and come to the awareness of who we are, our original qualities, and learn to develop self-respect. This way, in every interaction, we will be able to give respect to others and treat them with dignity, whether they are immediate Brahmin family or part of the extended human family, it will be the same thing.

Respect

Sister Nina

I want to share a story, and it happened just a couple of days ago. I was upset because of Marianne's passing, and I was having a conversation with a new warden. He was a bit abrupt. The following day, myself, him, and two other people were in conversation. I picked him up on what happened the day before. As I walked away, I realised that I needed to go back to him and basically say, "I'm sorry,” I just felt this heaviness there. It's like Baba was tapping me on my shoulders and saying, "Go back, go back," or else I just knew my day would have been really miserable.

When he was alone, I went back to him and said, "Actually, I'm so sorry. I reacted in that way." It's amazing, you should have seen him. He just bloomed like a flower in that minute, in that second, as I said that to him. His body language spoke with such gratitude. Equally, I felt light. It was very easy to do that. I walked away feeling totally, totally light, unencumbered, ready to get on with my day.

For me, it wasn't about being right or wrong. It wasn't about whether I was right or he was wrong. That was not in the scheme of our dialogue at all. It was simply that there was this soul standing in front of me who felt hurt because of what I said, and I needed to rectify that. I just needed to. So, it's just coming back to what you've just said about really respects. And once it's there, then you know, it's easy.

Sudesh Didi

It's actually about self-respect, but I understand that situations like this can take place. We know it wasn't right, and you feel like you have lost sight of your aim, which is to stay in self-respect, which means to maintain the respect for your values. If I am just mixing something up or reacting to something, love is covered with something else. Maybe I think I know better or I don't like it, but the main thing is that you created self-respect in him. Humility is that greatness, and this greatness ignited his light, keeping him awake and happy.

Sister Nina

It was beautiful, just watching him bloom like a flower.

Sudesh Didi

This is what Baba says: "Give respect, receive respect." Even those who don't respect you, don't demand it. You are not a beggar. And I am giving you all this kind of respect. This is why spiritual people have all the gifts, the roots of the tree, packets at the roots, and the lights on the trees, and the angel or the star above. It's all connected to our development and our relationship. But we went far away from these values.

Family means love. Mother means love, father means protection, brother and sister mean joy and playing together or supporting each other. But gradually, we lost those values, and the quality changed. Love changed into attachment, self-respect changed into ego, determination changed into stubbornness. It was just a name, but it changed everything. It's like water becoming muddy and no longer called water. Water is still there, but it's called mud. It became a mixture in us as well.

And that is why God has to clean our ideas. He wants to cleanse our minds, and every day in Murli, He emphasises on a topic like misunderstandings, fears, tensions, and the various types of respect that humans have. Fear and love cannot exist together. But realisation is not fear. Realisation brings joy because I can understand where I went wrong or what I couldn't do, even though I know how I should have been. Sometimes, we forget for a short time, so it's a reminder again and again, especially at the end of the year and the beginning of a new year, during Diwali in November and Christmas in December, and the continuation for six more days when we don't dismantle the tree. Why should we keep it? The sanskars that we fill it ourselves; the Seed that is up with the fruit says, "Become separate from your flesh and bones and be like Me." So, the call of the time now is that, as Jayanti bhen said, it's the soul consciousness that allows us to receive the gifts that we must share with others. This is still where we need to focus more, on what we can share with others.

Sister Nina

For me, Christmas is really just an indication. It's telling us what we need to do every day.

Sister Jayanti

I want to just go back to your Story, Nina, because there's a very simple law, spiritual law that says whatever it is I put out, that's what's going to come back to me. And it might happen instantly, as it did in your case, or it might happen after a month, a year, maybe even next birth. It might not even be back to me in this birth. But if I'm putting out thoughts of respect, love, and dignity, that's what's going to come back to me. And if I'm putting out anything negative, then that's also coming back to me. And so, I think that what we are witnessing in the world today is this action-reaction story. And what Baba is telling us to do is to stop the action-reaction and the reactivity that happens. Something happened a long time ago, maybe it's just my imagination, maybe it's my perception. But I have this negative attitude that I've built up against someone, something, a particular group of people, whatever it may be. And so, I see someone, and instead of actually seeing them as a soul or even as a human being, whatever is there within my perception from the past is a trigger, and I react. I'm not even at that moment aware that I'm reacting, I think my response is right. But it's actually a reaction that has nothing to do with what this individual is about at this moment. I'm not seeing the individual; it's the buildup of stuff inside of me, and I react. And so, then, what's coming back to me is a mirror in which I'm feeling that anger and unpleasant feelings. So, it's so important to just take a pause. I hear something, I see something, instead of reacting, just to take a pause.

Justice

Sister Nina

I have a tendency to want to protect others who I feel may be subjected to hurt, discrimination, you name it. And that's a difficult challenge because it's like stepping in front of the person and serving as their shield, being their protector. So, I would appreciate a response from either of you regarding this issue because I find it really challenging, particularly when I know that I can help.

Sister Jayanti

And I'm remembering various times when I have spoken about this, where my reaction is anger against injustice. And Baba tells me that while injustice is totally wrong, my response on a human level driven by anger is equally wrong. Reacting in this way will not change the situation of injustice. So, I need to first examine the response I am experiencing in the present moment. If I can maintain a stable state of peace, love, and truth, rather than just reacting with anger, then I will be able to bring about something positive in the situation. Otherwise, my reaction will not lead to any positive change.

I recall a person from Namibia, actually from a dialogue with Dadi in the Call of the Time, a few years ago. Dadi spoke about the importance of not reacting and not getting angry. And he said he believed that his anger was justifiable and absolutely righteous, in order to bring about change. Dadi’s response was, “We've been experiencing these bad things going on, and we've been thinking that our anger is what can put things right. But what happened? Things have gone from bad to worse. So, there must be another way. That other way is I take God's help and first stabilise myself, freeing myself from negativity. Only then can I do something to help others.” That person is now one of the main instrument teachers in Namibia, so, he went through quite a turnaround in his own journey.

Sudesh Didi

The basic thing that Baba reminds us of every day is to remember who we truly are. Am I truly Sudesh? The lack of respect I experience is because others only see my physical appearance, the costume I am wearing. And in turn, I also judge them based on the costume they wear. This comparison leads to feelings of inferiority or superiority, as we become conscious of our physical bodies, our colours, our qualities, our positions, our creativity, the social and even the Godly work we do. During these moments, I assume others are thinking about me in the same way. Though I try to hold onto the understanding that I am a soul, others naturally see and focus on the external body , they don't see the diamond inside the case.

Once I am clear that I am a Godly diamond, a sparkling and living light, I begin to see my own light and recognise how God is making me. Human opinions are fickle, changing from day to day. But God's opinion is God’s blessing, it is a practical guidance. That's why Baba says to check ourselves, rather than simply praising our own self. Even if I spend hours or a whole day in meditation, it's possible for thoughts of daily situations, problems, and successes to still occupy my mind. In these moments, I have forgotten that I am a diamond. So, it is a game of forgetting or remembering.

People who do not know, and have developed this consciousness of discrimination do not see me for who I truly am and what I am. And I also do not accept them as they truly are and what they.

Sister Nina

Also, they don't see themselves as they truly are, because the inner determines the outer. If I don't see myself as a diamond, I won't see you as a diamond either.

Sudesh Didi:

In that case, my true vision is that of being soul conscious. What does it mean to have a vision of soul consciousness? It means that even though you may not physically see the light, you ignite and express that light within you. Knowledge transforms into yoga, and through yoga, my intellect becomes purified and free from discrimination, allowing me to become a detached observer. This change in quality changes my vision, while equality and knowledge change my attitude.

Godly direction towards unity and the understanding that we are one family teaches me to practise tolerance and patience. Just like not all fruits ripen at the same time, I may have blossomed earlier than others, but they will also have their time to ripen. The light can shine on them and they will become sweet. I had the opportunity before they did, but now they have it too. In this way, we can see the percentage of spiritual progress increasing, but I have to remember that I was given the opportunity.

Deepening connections

Sister Nina

You were talking about how people have come together to prepare for Christmas. I was walking through the dining room in Global House and I was absolutely stunned by its beauty. Today, as I passed by, I saw people setting up tables and in the kitchen downstairs, there were many people busy cutting vegetables. It's like a beehive of activity. I am amazed and I see it as a beautiful expression of love.

So, each of you, I would like to hear your thoughts on how we can continue this momentum, because it is something we have built. We need to maintain this energy and even progress further in the natural development of the drama, as Sister Jayanti mentioned. I think it's great that we are having these meditation bhattis, a really good initiative. Sister Jasu's appreciation game is also a wonderful idea, though I'm not sure if it's still ongoing. It's important that we have these group connection activities that allow us to engage with people we pass by in the corridors who may never say hello. Coming from the culture I come from, it doesn't feel right. I would like us to do more informal activities where I can connect with someone I've never spoken to in my 27 years in this house. That's where, for me, we can deepen our connections even further.

Sister Jayanti

I think that the appreciation game is one aspect, but what we have done this week, a few times at least, is reading the Murli from 1972, a particular Murli. After reading a passage and taking some silent time to reflect on it, we engage in one-on-one exchanges. It allows people who have never spoken to each other in this house to communicate. It truly reveals a different side of their personalities. When we don't know someone and are ignorant about them, it can lead to fear. But, when we get to know them and realise that we are all on the same journey, heading towards the same destination, it changes into love. This has been an excellent experience this week, and I hope we continue it, whether it's part of an international programme or not. We can create our own programme for our spiritual journey, which would be very important to maintain the momentum.

Whether it's Diwali or Christmas, the preparations and the high energy are always present. On the day of the festival, it's beautiful to see everyone coming together and sharing so much. But afterwards, people become exhausted and they take time off, and the energy returns to the usual state. I think that if we don't exhaust ourselves too much and keep time for spiritual awareness, study, and silence, and if we keep the communication going on a spiritual level, it will bring about a change.

Sudesh Didi

The concept of one God, one world, one family is the foundation. The unity of these three aspects is success. So, it comes back to each of us working on ourselves. When a candle is lit, the wax melts on its own without breaking the candle. Similarly, when we ignite this light within ourselves, we must ensure that we keep ourselves safe from the storms that arise.

Satopradhan Stage - Morning Revision Class with Sudesh Didi at GCH, London on 3rd January, 2024

5 January 2024

Satopradhan Stage

Om shanti. Good morning. Every morning, Baba teaches us, reminds us, gives us directions, and makes us aware of where we need to go. However, He does not focus on the "why" and the "what". The words "but" and "ifs" are not in Baba's dictionary. But we often spend a lot of time on "buts" and "ifs" without realising that asking "why" only makes us cry. Eventually, we repent and question ourselves, "Why did I do this?" and we question others as well. The word "but" blocks us, keeping us stuck in a cycle and preventing us from utilising the gifts that Baba has given us.

So, Baba gives us a very simple method to enjoy this Brahmin life or find happiness in life. The method is to achieve a level of intellect that incorporates two powers, with the right consciousness for concentration and realisation: the power of discrimination and the power of judgment, decision-making. By developing these powers, we can move according to Shrimat, delving into the depths of the One, and focusing on what Shrimat truly is. When we do this, the question of "why" transforms into "wah". It is a simple process. But it is interesting how we have made the simplest things the most difficult. It is difficult to consistently maintain our experiences of simplicity. So, God has to repeatedly teach, explain, and remind us. This is an expression of unlimited love, unending love, selfless love, benevolent love, and gentle love.

God beautifully brings us back to the top where we were and shows us a picture of what has happened to us. It is like how parents know and show their child pictures of their childhood, when they were babies. The feelings that arise when we see our picture from 80 years ago are different. We say, "Oh, this is my childhood. I was like this." Similarly, when we see a picture of ourselves after 80 years, we exclaim, "Oh, this is me after all this time."

So, Baba explains the meaning of the feeling of what it means to be satopradhan. Truth makes you happy. Accept that you were once satopradhan because we have now reached a level of total decay. In fact, when you are in a dark room, it is easy to observe and concentrate on what is happening in the light. When the light is on and you are in the dark, you can see the whole picture of the place. And when you are in the light, you do not see the darkness.

So, in the Golden Age, there is no need to see the darkness when we are in the light. Baba enables us to be light, become double light, bring lightness, and remove burdens and bondage.

The experience of satopradhan truth means there is no contrast. Truth is light. In truth, satopradhan exists in its purest form. There is no contrast or falsehood; only light is present. There is no darkness. This is because the soul becomes the embodiment of truth, the mind stops questioning, the intellect stops analysing, the sanskar becomes aligned with truth, and the result is bliss. It is not just happiness, but bliss, and there is no contrast to it.

With that said, God is truth, and this spiritual place is Sat (truth), Chit (consciousness), Anand (bliss). It is a living truth, where only truth exists, conscious and subconscious, and even the unconscious. Everything is in the state of truth.

I was thinking that the satopradhan stage is not only about purity and virtues, but about our own purity and virtues. What is the actual intensity and purity in virtues when it comes to becoming divine? When we are satopradhan, our virtues are also satopradhan, and the state of our consciousness is satopradhan. This means truth is present.

We might have heard people say that lokik people are sometimes more virtuous in behaviour than Brahmins, but what is the reality of virtues? How do we interact with others? Is our sweet and good behaviour truly our personality being expressed, or is it temporary or permanent? What comes out of it?

We can be sweet in nature and always smiling, but externally, this virtue may be virtual. It may just be an act of being sweet and kind. However, internally, in our hearts, there may be love, impressions or expectations that contradict our virtuous behaviour. If there is any of this or any kind of self-image that needs to be maintained, such as pleasing others, saving our honour, or impressing others, then the virtue is not true. Many people do this in the world. Only when all of these motives are absent, can we truly express the truth in our virtues.

So, as Baba said, there are two things to consider: when facing defamation and insults. Am I able to digest and tolerate them? How can I measure myself in such situations? This is where my honesty and love come into play. If someone defames me, the spiritual value is to see those who defame me as my friends. So, how do I apply this formula in my life? How can I interpret it as "those who defame me are my friends"?

In reality, when someone defames me, it reflects their expectations that I have not fulfilled. If I view it with this consciousness, I can understand that they see my capacity or view me from a particular level. Instead of thinking that they see me in a negative light, I can consider that they have good wishes for me. They may want me to do more and pay more attention, or they may be pointing out areas in which I need to make corrections in myself. With this understanding, I will be able to digest and tolerate the defamation.

Defamation is not an act of defamation; it is actually a reflection of a virtue that either I possess or others have certain expectations of me. It exists within me, but I am not actively using it. In such cases, I consider it a positive thing that the person defaming me has become a mirror, allowing me to see aspects of myself that I may have overlooked. So, the truth of my love lies in my attempt to understand why this person is defaming me, or in other words, what they desire from me. Tolerance, in this context, means recognising that they have certain wishes that they believe I can fulfil, but I am not allowing myself to express it. This picture, then, is a beautiful representation of the power of tolerance when applied to the self.

There is a beautiful depiction of the power of tolerance in the image of the eight powers. In this depiction, a boy throws a stone at a mango tree, not out of enmity but out of love for the tree and its fruits. When the fruit is ripe and ready, it naturally falls off the tree. Similarly, if I am the tree, I would naturally let go. However, if I am unable to let go, someone who truly desires the fruit may try to obtain it by throwing a stone. This triggers me to examine my attitude. If I too examine my attitude, then it means that it is not defamation but rather a triggering of something that I need to address and have to do for myself.

And it is exactly the same when I reach a higher level. I do not mind defamation, even though I am aware there is defamation, but I can hold onto my truth. People may say, "God, you are very cruel. You are not helping me. You have taken my son away. You have not cured my disease." But God does not discriminate. Baba does not get upset by this. Many people defame God. And when Baba says they are defaming Him, He is not sensitive, offended, or upset. He wants to explain the truth that "You perceive me as omnipresent and expect me to act in a certain way, but I am omnipresent."

So sometimes people think of me as having the potential to reach a certain level, but I may not fulfil certain tasks. In such cases, I should understand that I am not at that level as perceived or expected by others. I should not allow my heart to become polluted or react to it. Instead, I will be able to digest and tolerate it. Tolerance does not mean suffering, but rather being able to handle and manage difficult situations. This not only maintains and increases my self-respect but also eliminates defamation. In fact, such defamation becomes a kind of support for me to emerge my virtues and make them a reality.

Otherwise, if there were no tests, how would I know if I have truly passed with honour? If I want honour, I need to stay in my self-respect. So, this is what it truly means. Can I tolerate and digest it when someone defames or insults me?

Reflecting on myself in the mirror, is my current stage truly reflecting the truth in my virtues, character, behaviour, and love? Or is there still some mixture present?

Satopradhan means the highest level of purity in all virtues and soul consciousness. Baba uses the example of Shankar wearing a snake, symbolising the transformation of enemies into friends. Those who were once poisonous, defaming, blaming, or rejecting me, causing pain and killing my happiness, now I can check if my yoga is at a level where I embrace them. By doing so, I am able to help those who are doing wrong or are weak.

When someone is angry, I can help them. But how do I help someone who is angry with me? It means not making them feel guilty or questioning their anger, but understanding that it is a sign of weakness. I should accept that the person is weak and not in control, and respond with mercy. How do I handle others' anger and help them transform themselves? By transforming my own reactions, they will transform too. If my reaction is negative, then I become worse, and they also suffer. I haven't helped myself or others. This is the true meaning of being merciful. Om shanti.

Sudesh Didi – The Image of Divinity – 1st January 2024, New Year’s Day Class - GCH, London

1 January 2024

The Image of Divinity

Om shanti. Om shanti. Om shanti. Good morning, golden morning, beautiful morning, and greetings to the TrimurtiSat Trimurti Shiv Baba, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, eternal truth, everlasting benevolence, and ever-beautiful.

Yesterday, Baba greeted us with Trimurti greetings, three greetings for the new life, for the new day, as our life is new and the kingdom is being established anew. Here, we also have the greetings for the New Year, for the new life, and for the new kingdom. Everything new is not only beautiful but also powerful. Baba knows what generally attracts us as human beings, as children, and even as adults.

Wherever we go, our attention automatically diverts to our own self, even if we are surrounded by a thousand people or if we have a photograph of a gathering of a thousand people. Our vision naturally focuses on ourselves.

So, Baba knows that we like to look at ourselves, in our walking, talking, and appearance. He understands the psychology behind it. Baba says, "I give you your picture. I give you your photograph." This photograph represents how Baba, as the artist, paints my character and my life. He is also the Astrologer, jyotishee, the Fortune Teller, revealing not just my future but also my features, my divine qualities, making the picture more than just a physical representation, but a divine picture. It becomes a reflection of my character, my true inner beauty.

I remember being in Jaipur at that time when there was a museum. We had a stall that displayed the contrast of heaven and hell in Satiyug (Golden Age) and Kaliyug (Iron Age). At that time, we didn't have Baba's Room or pictures of Brahma Baba or Shiv Baba. There was a picture of Shiv Baba, but it was meant for exhibition purposes only. Baba said that during Amrit Vela, when we sit and look at the picture of Lakshmi and Narayan, we should compare our features with theirs and contemplate on what we experience. Pay attention to their eyes and observe what you feel when looking at their faces.

Similar to how Baba painted or drew us yesterday and encouraged us to experience our future, it is in fact our perfect past. So, when we remember this, it is like the mantra of Manmanabhav, which is to focus the mind on One and make it like One. Harmonise yourself with the spirituality and purity of your divinity, allowing it to radiate through your features because the face is the index of the mind. Take a closer look at that. And that's what He said yesterday.

And so, at that time, I used to feel exactly what Baba mentioned yesterday while meditating with the picture of Lakshmi and Narayan, remembering Shiv Baba. Instead of using the mantra Madhiyajibhav, I would use the mantra "hum so, so hum" (as I was, so shall I be.)  That is the effort. Madhiyajibhav means to be the middle one, like the Lakshmi and Narayan picture with four arms symbolising Vishnu. That is the time for becoming swadarshanchakradhari (the Spinner of the discus of self-realization). With the power to control and the power of yoga represented by the maze, and the lotus flower symbol representing living detached, while the shankh (conch shell) symbolises doing service.

But yesterday, Baba explained the significance of each character, each picture, and each organ of us children. He explained how it should be or already is, and encouraged us to see our future in our present. So I was, and I will become, but I am also presently this. It's not just about what we will become, but about realising that we are already on this path. This is represented by the mantra "hum so, so hum," I was this, and I am now this. What does that mean? It means an image of divinity and the embodiment of purity. When we look at the image of Sri Lakshmi and Narayan, what do we see in their eyes? What do we notice on their forehead? What about the smile on their faces? This is the picture of our perfect aim. Baba saw a sparkle of light on our forehead. Baba says to draw it, to paint it, but in reality, we already have it. Just like when you make a copy of something that is already perfect. And Baba says to become a photocopy of our own perfection, our perfect form, so that we can truly see and experience our original self.

In drishti, Sakar Baba used to say, "Keep in one eye mukti (liberation) and in the other eye jeevan mukti (liberation in life)." Liberation and liberation in life, but liberation means being free from bondages, karmic accounts, and any kind of influence. Your vision becomes pure, divine, and powerful, combining sneh (love) and shakti (power). In drishti, there is love, as well as power in words, which is Godly wisdom or the sweet versions of Baba. The smile is a divine smile. This is only possible when the heart is pure, vision is clear, and the feeling of being seated in Baba's heart or having Baba in my heart , being lost in His love. Our hands are filled with treasures, and with every step, we earn a fortune of multi-millions times over. This is the essence of painting, but it is also about becoming.

So, and this is actually a natural blessing from Baba, He paints different pictures of us at different times, but this one represents perfection. An effect picture means being free from defects and also free from the influence of others' defects. But if you have the vision of any defect or problem within yourself, it is important to look at the effects of others instead. And when you see your own divine activity and divine qualities, similar qualities will be attracted to you. If your inner feeling is benevolent and you are a giver rather than a taker, you become a bestower. When your heart is truly pure and clean, it is filled with love and mercy. This is when we naturally embody what Baba has taught us: to become bestowers and donors, rather than constantly seeking something from others. As Brahmins, we are cooperative souls, always ready to share with each other.

So, how can we cooperate then? What is the method of cooperation? If somebody is angry, how do I cooperate? If somebody is jealous of me, how do I cooperate with them? Am I cooperating to perpetuate their weaknesses? Or am I cooperating to give them support? On the other hand, there is a method where only if someone changes their behaviour, then I will be cooperative. If someone else changes their behaviour, then I will change too. If they stop slandering, if they stop hating me, if they stop being jealous. then I will love them. If I am truly cooperative and a donor soul, there are no "ifs" and "buts". These conditions and negotiations do not exist. Because true cooperation is not a transaction or a business deal where we say, "You do this and then I will do that."

But what do I need to do in such a situation? For example, if someone is experiencing jealousy, why should they be jealous? But there is no point in questioning why or if. Instead, it is a moment of realisation and mercy, recognising that this soul has not recognised their own fortune or has missed an opportunity. Feeling repentance that they could have made effort and achieved something as well. Therefore, they cannot tolerate seeing others' fortune and feeling jealousy. Jealousy arises from comparing one's own fortune with the fortune of others, but in reality, each individual is blessed by Baba, the Bestower has given each one this power. So, there is no need for jealousy. If my heart is not hurt, jealousy will not affect me. No one can take away anyone's fortune because whatever we have comes from Baba. And no one can truly give us anything, even if we ask for it, because any gains would be temporary.

So have mercy for that soul, as it is not recognising its own fortune. When you appreciate this soul and have feelings of forgiveness, it is not a question of forgiving them for doing something wrong. True forgiveness comes from having mercy and love, automatically freeing yourself from the effects. You don't have to forgive if you haven't been affected and if it isn't hurting you. Instead, hold pure feelings of mercy, love, and good wishes towards that soul. Create pure feelings, filled with love and mercy, for that soul. They may not see what Baba and the drama have to offer or understand their beautiful desires for elevation. Jealousy arises from not seeing what is truly there and focusing on what is not there.

What you have, if you see it without comparing it to others, you will be satisfied. Baba says, "Your future is divine, your future is in perfect form." So, the first step is to recognise that it is all virtuous, completely viceless, a bestower of blessings, and merciful. Am I using these qualities? This is only possible when I have true love for myself. If I have had the same sanskars for some time, how can I remove them? It begins with the realisation that they are truly harmful to me, they are my enemy. Weakness, vices, and defects are not external to me, it is not anyone else; I am becoming my own enemy. I must become my own friend, and through that friendship with myself, I can extend friendship to others. The enemies within me also create enemies outside.

So, the internal feeling of a pure heart, filled with love and cleanliness, is the realisation of what is beneficial and harmful for me. When I recognise something as harmful, the second step is determination. Determination to focus on being the embodiment of giving, receiving from Baba, and passing on to others, but doing so with the consciousness that I am not the source, it is receiving from Baba and I am handing over for sharing. We are all lost in love with the unlimited Ocean, and what we are as individuals is like different "beaches." How I perceive it doesn't matter if someone is swimming on this beach or that beach. The beach itself doesn't give anything; it is just an instrument for us to enjoy the ocean. So why should I feel jealous? There is no reason. Everything comes from God and goes to human beings.

Sometimes, I visualise myself as a water tap. The water tank is up there, and each one of us is like a water tap. When someone is thirsty, they come and get a glass of water from one tap, another glass from another tap, and so on. What I am doing is simply channelling the water that comes from the tank through my tap. There is no competition, comparison, or jealousy in this process. It is because I understand that I am just an instrument, not attached to the outcome. Just as a glass does not become attached to the water it holds, I, as an instrument, remain detached. The power comes from the user, not from the instrument. Therefore, I neither feel jealous nor compete with anyone. My focus is on concentration.

Concentration means keeping myself clean, like ensuring that the water tap is not filled with any rubbish. If the tap is blocked, naturally, someone will go somewhere else for water. My concentration is of the purification of my own self and cultivating a vision of love and mercy towards others. By doing so, I am not creating new accounts or accumulating negative karma. Instead, I am creating my own fortune and experiencing my own divinity, painting a beautiful picture of my character.

So, having a pure heart, Baba spoke about being an instrument. There is no "I" or "mine" in it, and the instrument remains detached. Just like a glass doesn't claim ownership over the water it holds, it naturally gives without attachment. However, it is important for the instrument to be clean and clear. The instrument is actually empowered by the player. Baba is using me and making me powerful, and it is a great fortune for me. Then, having a pure and clean heart; nimitnirman and nirmal (being an instrument, being humble, and remaining pure,) there is no room for jealousy, competition, or comparison.

It is our expectations that create problems. Instead, we need to accept things as they are. If you go to a mechanic, they would never say, "Why did you bring me a broken car?" Similarly, a doctor would not say, "Why did you come to me when you are so sick?" It is our responsibility as instruments to help Baba. How does Baba transform and purify us? When all these qualities are present, when the heart remains clean, the intellect is free from ego, and our actions are selfless, then our future picture becomes our present picture.

Happy New Year! Happy New World! Happy New Life! Baba has given us a homework, to serve from the top of the globe. It is the month of January, the month of tapasya, a time for tyaagtapasya and seva, (renunciation, intense meditation, and service.) This is the present picture, the picture of divinity. The past is finished.

Today is 2024, so we wouldn't write 1st January 2023, not even by mistake. We must have determination that whatever we have left behind cannot be used anymore. Old sanskars belong in the old year. Now, in this new year, we are filling ourselves with divine virtues. So, congratulations on saying goodbye to the old and welcoming the new, creating a future that manifests in the present. Om shanti.

Class by Sr. Jayanti At GCH, London, On 26th December 2023 - To Give is to Insure the Self

31st December 2023

Two sentences from Baba’s murli caught my eye today. One is where Baba is saying: “never have the thought that I have given anything to Baba” and secondly “how much has Baba given to each one”.  I started thinking about when I had first heard about karma, because in lokik life you hear the word “karma” but you don’t think about it. And so then I understood the difference between sinful karma and charitable karma. We use the word ‘charitable’ karma or ‘punya’ karma, which is correct. But the word ‘punya’ also implies purity and ‘pap’ is the negativity. And so the sinful action and then the charitable, pure action.  So if I add ‘purity’ the word ‘charity’ then it gives a clearer picture of what that punya karma is.  But then I understood that, the way to decide, what I need to do is very simple. I just need to ask myself the question: ‘Am I soul-conscious or am I body consciousness?’

In soul-consciousness, I am definitely going to have thoughts, words and actions that are going to be pure.
And in body-consciousness, what is going to be the quality of what I do?  It is definitely going to be tainted;
if not with one of the 5 five ‘big’ vices, but definitely it may be one of the smaller other vices.  In fact the
smaller other vices can be just as dangerous as the ones we describe as the big ones, but we don’t always
acknowledge them, for example, laziness and carelessness.  And Baba has taken up the aspect of
laziness quite a bit today also.  So definitely that is a sinful karma.  But if you just apply those criteria: am I
in soul consciousness or in body consciousness, then very quickly you can see which direction I am going
in. And hopefully, with Baba’s love and power, the intellect is strong enough to decide which direction to
go in and take that route.

Today I was also thinking about how it is not just the words or the actions or even the thoughts, it is actually
something behind all of that, that determines the quality of ‘good’ or ‘bad’. And that is: intention,
motivation.  What is my motive in doing something?  What is my intention in doing something?  If I am
very clear about motive and intention, then I will very quickly know whether I am on track or I am off track.
So, just thinking about this thing about, “giving to Baba”, now, what is the intention with which I decide to do
something for Baba?  Is it because I know the way to create fortune for myself or do I think that by giving it
to Baba there is going to be some immediate benefit in it, for me?  So you can see that the quality of my
thinking is connected very much with that.  So if I think that: this is going to bring me the love of an
individual or love of many individuals in the family… what exactly is my intention?

So often we talk about ‘buying love’, and in a lokik world there is very definitely a subject of buying love.
You buy things, whether it is chocolates or flowers or big gifts or little gifts, and you want to win somebody’s
favour. And in gyan also, am I doing things to win somebody’s or many people’s love and affection?  Am I
doing it to receive praise?  Am I doing it to receive anything else, here and now, that is going to bring me
benefit?  We can see how the whole subject of intention is something that I have to explore within myself,
because what is visible is the action. On one level it seems to be a good action, it is pure karma, but in fact
I have to really examine myself. When Baba talks about honesty, then Baba sometimes says the first
honesty is with myself.  And so can I be very honest with myself and say: if I am going to do this and this
and this, why am I doing it?

It is an interesting question to ask oneself especially after a very busy time in service.  I know when it was
Diwali then by the end of Diwali many people were exhausted;  I was sitting far away but I was getting all
the news and people writing and so many said that they were exhausted, which I can understand totally.
But it goes back to intention.  And yesterday, again I didn’t see and I haven't heard people say they were
exhausted but it was hard work.  A lot was going on and a lot of people put energy into it and it was very
good. But what was the motive behind with which I did something?

If it was really out of love for Baba then, yes, what Baba wants for me is benefit for me.  It was in
yesterday’s murli where Baba said that: when Baba gives you a direction it is for your benefit.  And so
sometimes you begin to have doubts that “it didn’t work out the way I wanted and Baba is saying it was for
my benefit”. And yes, it was!  In the blessing today Baba is saying that if something turns out that is less
successful than you had imagined, then the question to ask is not what I did wrong, or have the thought
that I am worthless, but no, it taught me something.  I remember the first couple of years when I came back

2
to London in June 1969 and by September 1970 – so about a year and half had passed - and every door I
was knocking on was shut. They were yoga organisations but they would have a few words of conversation
with me, and I would talk about connecting with God and things like this, and so they very easily
understood that I didn’t believe in omnipresence and they would shut the door! It literally happened with
few people who were running yoga institutes here in London at that time.  But when I look back and think, it
was so good; it gave me the space, the time, the understanding that I need to develop my yoga, I need to
fill myself, I need to prepare myself. And then once the door of service opened, it hasn’t stopped!  And it
keeps continuing, which is wonderful.  But my point is when there is a lack of success, if I take it as an
opportunity to really see what is going on, then it is going to be highly beneficial.   And I hadn’t come to
London because I wanted to come back; in fact I didn’t want to come back but Baba sent me. So that is
what kept me going also.

My point is that if I can understand that Baba is benevolent and Baba is telling me to do, xyz, whatever it
may be, it is for my benefit.  It is nothing that Baba wants from me.

So if Baba says: insure yourself for the future, then that is exactly what it is.  I give a penny to Baba…and
one of the Madhuban brothers was reminding me of the story that Dadi used to tell us about and that was
about a very simple woman who had a tiny little bit of gold that you wear on your nose [nose stud] and she
asked Dadi to take it to Madhuban to give it to sakar Baba, which Dadi did.  And Baba gave her so much
love and blessings for that. And this is what we hear in the murlis, that if somebody gives everything they
have, even if it is “this much” how much Baba gives them in return? Multiply, multiply!  Yes, I give 10%;
that is good.  But I am giving not what I want to give but I am giving what is the need, then it is very
different.  Here is a need and I am giving a response to that need and then Baba is seeing again the
intention and the motivation.  So really whether it is physical karma that I do, I am standing on my feet for 9
hours…. and there is somebody who themselves had not counted the hours but when I counted it for them
they had been standing on their feet literally for 9 hours yesterday and they were doing it with love and with
joy for Baba.  We say “for Baba” but Baba says it is actually for you; you are doing it for yourself! We
understand that also.  And we also see that love for Baba means love for the Yagya, love for the family, all
of this. But if I am doing it because I want the love of the family, then somewhere I am going to get tested,
because someone in the family is going to make a comment and say: but why, you should not have done it
like this. Then you know what happens.  So if I am going to do it for human approval then I am going to get
deflated very quickly; I am going to get upset and I am going to have tears. Maybe not physical tears but
definitely inside the soul…’but I did so much, how come it is not appreciated. Did I do it to be appreciated?
How often do you hear this: I did so much and no one appreciated it?’

Now, why did I do it?   I did it for my own fortune.  My thoughts, my time, my energy has been used for
Baba in Baba’s service in whatever way - little way, big way, and little ways are actually big ways because
without that little thing happening then things are going to go wrong.  So intention is one part of Baba’s
murli today: why am I doing something?  Then I will never use the expression I gave it to Baba or I gave it
to the Yagya.  It was insurance for me.

When you put something in a bank then it makes you feel very comfortable: I have got X amount in the
bank.  And I know I am going to be safe and protected. It will always be there whenever I need it. Although
in fact the bank is actually using your money and that is how they are getting all the buildings and smart
things and the big bonuses!

And Baba? Baba doesn’t have a bank except that of good karma and so Baba doesn’t have a bank to
keep your money! But yes, it is accumulating and so can I understand that it is accumulating and it is there
for me for the whole cycle - not just for half the cycle, it is there for the whole cycle. Baba is giving me the
guarantee for 21 births but also I know that it is an eternal connection with Baba.  So that is one part that I
need to look at very honestly.

And the second aspect is: how much have I received from Baba already? Never mind what is going to
come to me in the future, but if I take into consideration the love, the care, the wisdom that Baba is giving
me - and the family also but I am just looking at what Baba is giving me. Baba is giving me such insight,
such realisation about who He is. Now just imagine, here on one side is a person who is seeking truth…
and he spends his whole life studying this and studying that and doing this and doing that just to search for
truth, and here we are sitting very comfortably and Baba is pouring out the truth to us.  Every single murli
contains truth and I have it readymade; God has explained to me exactly what He does and what He

3
doesn’t do and so no false expectations.  If I have a big exam and I say “I am going to class every day for a
week before my exams and I am going to pass my exams”…well are you doing bhakti or are you in gyan?
That is what children do in bhakti, which is good because at least they are remembering God in some
form, some of the time.  But for us, we don’t come to class with expectations: I am going to pass my driving
test or I am going to pass these exams or these exams.  No, Baba will say your study is for the future -
which I understand totally - but I am just seeing the incredible benefit of the study and the truth that Baba is
giving me today. And how the soul really feels so refreshed by being in the presence of the One who is the
Truth and One who is totally motivated by benefit for me.

When you have a conversation with a human being does it sometimes enter your mind that what they are
saying is actually only for my ears and the benefit for my ears. For example, they are praising you a lot,
they are saying good things and definitely it crosses your mind “why are they saying so much?”, and
usually it turns out to be true feelings, but it wasn’t really sincere. Because when there is sincerity you don’t
need to say so much! One word of appreciation is enough and you don’t even need that, you can feel it in
the vibrations. And so in the presence of the truth and here is Baba telling me beautiful things about me
and about Him and so just that awareness what I have received from Baba. Christmas is a day of giving
gifts and after the giving and receiving, then appreciation of what it is that Baba has actually given me;
Santa Claus gave me a new life and gave me a new vision.

One of the things they talk about today is why young people are not really motivated. You don’t see them
getting engaged. And yes they are very concerned about the environment. But generally speaking it is as
if they have no purpose.  I remember someone telling me - and it stayed in my mind – “why am I going to
study if there is going to be just craziness in the world in a few years’ time?” What scientists thought was
going to happen in 50 years’ time is happening today. Everything has sped up immensely, so why am I
doing something?

But also the understanding that what Baba is giving me is for now. If I have tolerance power… well, deities
don’t need tolerance power! Everything is perfect in Satyug. The sun will come at the right time, the rain
will come only at night when the plants need to get their refreshment; everything is happening perfectly.
There is a perfect rhythm. Every human being is a divine being and so they won’t be critical, they won’t be
nasty or judgmental. And so, when do I need the power of tolerance; do I need it satyug?  I need it today.
Each one of the powers that Baba speaks about today is to withdraw. Something is going crazy out there,
can I go back into my awareness of the world within, rather than stay out there with my head poking out
there and looking out to see what is going on.

The image of the tortoise is very good. When the tortoise’s head is out, it is not stable. It is looking here and
there and everywhere! But to go inside, to be introverted, to go inside that cave. So I need all the powers
that Baba is giving me today, and that is Baba’s gift. Not just the knowledge. I love knowledge, but I also
need the powers and the virtues; all of these are for now.  So when we start counting how much Baba has
given me then there is a huge appreciation.

And then in comparison to that, what is it that I have given to Baba? I haven't, I have done it for myself.
Even in terms of practical things; I gave one hour of my time for Baba’s service, how much joy it brought
me and the feeling that my time was used in a worthwhile way.  It was part of my purpose of moving
towards my karmateet stage.  If at the end of the day I don’t become karmateet, Baba will be totally
detached and say “Drama”. Baba won’t even say “I told you so”!

I remember a particular situation in which Dadi said: you have explained something to somebody and they
have not done it, and then the results are what you had anticipated and you had told them about it. Then
are you going to say to them “I told you so”?  No, that is not divine manners.  And so God is not going to tell
you “I told you so”.  But Baba will just say Drama because Drama is fixed, Drama is perfect and what can
you do at that moment?   Baba has talked about that also.  So I know what it is I am receiving from God
and so let me just simply use that in my life.  Baba is not saying: appreciate Me, or give Me a card or
anything, but just simply the appreciation and through that I will be able to have a deeper connection with
God.  And the whole purpose of “my thoughts, my words, my actions are for God”, we use that phrase
because it is bringing me closer to God.  It is not that God needs anything from me at all.  Baba uses this
expression: I want you to be my helper.  But do you think God is going to wait for me?  Drama is moving on
very quickly and Drama will come to its conclusion whether I am ready or not.  I think the Drama is waiting

4
for the 108 to be ready.  The 8 are already ready and they have become angels but maybe the drama is
waiting for the 108 to claim their place in the rosary.  This is why Baba says: can you not hear the cries of
the bhagats?  It is not just the cry of the bhagats now; it is the cry of the people in huge distress. You just
have to read the news or look at the news. It is a cry of huge distress more than at any other time in
history.

And so, if I am doing things for a human, how does that bring me closer to God?  Human appreciation,
human love… and if I know that it is Baba working through the human being… whether they see
themselves as an instrument or not, I have to see them as an instrument. Whatever their consciousness
is, it is their responsibility but if I have experienced benefit from someone then surely, if my awareness is
that this has actually come from God, it is going to bring me closer to God. And of course the one that is an
instrument to give, if they remember that, then there is benefit for them too; it is a fortune for them.  But I
must never get trapped in a thought that ‘because of this one this has happened’ or ‘because of that one
this has happened’ - whether it is negative or positive.  If somebody presses my button and my reactivity
comes out - whether it is my bossiness or my anger in some form or another - but if I blame that on human
beings then am I being honest with myself?  It is me and my sanskars and I am here to become karmateet,
which means all karmic accounts are settled, which means all my sanskars are cleaned.  Karmateet means
all sanskars have been cleansed and only the satopradhan sanskars remain. Baba spoke about how some
sanskars are merged so deeply within that they don’t emerge for 2500 years.  How deep do I bury those
sanskars by not using them?

So today we are going to hear the sakar murli and it is a very interesting murli.  But again, one takes benefit
from the murli not just by hearing the murli or by reading the murli once, but by reflecting on the murli. Then
every day there is going to be benefit.

Om Shanti

Increase the power of the mind (manobal) and with Baba, in the Unlimited, do service through the mind (mansaseva) - Morning Class by Sr. Jayanti on 31st December, 2023, at GCH, London

31 December 2023

Increase the power of the mind (manobal) and with Baba, in the Unlimited, do service through the mind (mansaseva)

Good morning and wishing you a very happy start to the New Year, and hopes that Baba gives you all that you seek in the New Year.  Baba’s Murli today feels like an end of year report!  Baba is telling us what is going on, and also His vision for us in the immediate future in Sangamyug.  It was spoken way back and not at the end of the year, but it feels it is especially for today.  Many beautiful things Baba has said and one is how He turns everything into a beautiful idea and image.  It is said ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ and definitely in Baba’s eyes there is nothing but beauty.  Baba doesn’t see the wrinkles but the line of fortune on your forehead! Baba says that in your eyes He is seeing the light of love and power.  On your lips Baba is seeing the sweetness of the versions you share and also happiness.  On your face the beauty of spirituality.  Baba is seeing your hands full of treasures and where your feet touch the ground there is multimillion times fortune.  He sees and looks with beauty and eternal truth, not the superficial truth of today.  He has told us also what we need to do.  He is saying that if we emerge the awareness of our fortune…we have new sanskars and new awareness.  If your old sanskars and awareness are emerging it is because you are not emerging your fortune in a clear way.  It is there but merged in the back of the mind.  We need to keep simply, our new awareness of our fortune at Sangamyug clear, and our new awareness and new sanskars will emerge.  Baba makes what could be challenging, quite simple.  Just remember your fortune, no need to do anything else.

Baba has also explained in detail what it is He wants from us.  He is reminding us today that Baba doesn’t like us to work hard.  Our spiritual effort today needs to be natural and easy, without obstacle. If we are experiencing the fruit of our efforts in Sangamyug now then we have access to all the different powers that God wants us to receive.  As well as all the wisdom and knowledge that He wants us to have.  The third sign that is the proof of our effort at Sangamyug is that we become obstacle free.  If we are facing obstacles can we take the powers that He wants us to have.  Can I see the obstacle in the light of knowledge and truth and then it will become not even become a mustard seed, which is hard, but cotton wool, which is very light. So it will change from a mountain, into a mustard seed, into cotton wool and you can deal with it easily.

What does Baba want from us this New Year. It’s this to firstly the fruit of Sangamyug and our effort, because Sangamyug is running out.  He also says when are you going to experience this, as He wants us to experience it today.  Let effort be so easy and natural that it isn’t labour.  If I am following srimat it is natural and easy.  When I stray from srimat then there are struggles, challenges, problems, issues arise.  Srimat starts in the mind and if I keep it in the way Baba wants me to do then the rest will flow automatically.  Baba has made it clear that He wants us to do and experience.  A word that many use in the world, yet they don’t know the secrets to make that happen.  Baba says increase the power of the mind.  Many say they would love to do it, but they don’t know how.  This is because neither do they know what exactly the mind is nor how to increase the power as they don’t have the knowledge that Baba has given us.  If you think about all the Murlis you have been hearing: Baba has been talking about eliminating waste thoughts; saving energy by not using our energy on a mundane level.  Even with service, if it is simply on a level of actions and words it is very limited.  It is still down here somewhere and not above in the way Baba wants.  So take the mind into the unlimited.  Do this with Baba, as He is unlimited.  And then with Him where do I stand?    Baba says  ‘you are standing on top of the globe, and as  Baba you see the whole globe down below’.  (When astronauts first went to outerspace and circled the planet, they reported back how they felt.  At first after lift off they identified with the place they left, then the continent but as they circled around, their awareness changed and they ceased to identify with the place but were seeing the whole planet as ‘my’ home, ‘my’ world. further on they were even able to distance themselves from the consciousness of ‘my’.  We don’t need to spend time on expensive training!  Baba simply tells us ‘come into the Unlimited where I am’.  Baba the Unlimited, my Home the unlimited, and from up above I look down and I can see the whole planet.  Baba is saying practise this:  Be up above with Me, above this planet, and you will get away from the ‘my’ of  my duty, my place, my this and that. This takes up too much time and bogs us down.  Baba is not saying throw away your responsibilities, but don’t get caught up in the little questions of how, why, what.  Baba is saying stay focused in the present and you will see clearly what the situation is and what you need to do. Then there is no wastage of time, thoughts or energy.  In this way, when you are up above with Baba, you are able to give God’s light to the whole planet, the whole world.

We share Baba’’s light and good wishes for anyone who needs, and this practise is important. But think of them/ that place for 15  seconds and then with Baba, for no more than 30 seconds.  You are then with Baba and let Baba give the light, to the whole planet.   Baba says even if we do this for a short while the results will be visible.  This is manobal (power of the mind) and mansaseva (service through the mind). Then Baba’s service will take on a new level.  The heir quality souls are waiting, and the way we find them, is by sending out that light, so they know where to come.  We don’t have to go chasing after them.  They will find that light and come.  Just as in the early days, Shiv Baba was doing at most of the work I think, as Brahma Baba was marvelling at what was happening and didn’t fully understand what it was.  But Shiv Baba was very engaged and sending that light, so the original souls were pulled.  We still have Dadi Ratanmohini with us, who will be 100 years old on the 25th March.  She is still with us and we see the quality of her faith and love, even today.  Most of us here too had interaction with Dadi Janki.  Baba is saying that the foundation souls had so much power, and the foundation of their faith was immoveable and unshakeable until the end.  They are the instruments of course, who have made the rest of service happen across the world.  As we approach the final period, it is the time now for all of us to do that same mansaseva.  But we need to increase our inner power to be able to do this.  We use the term ‘mansaseva’ lightly, but it requires a lot of focus, purity and awareness of the unlimited.  Can I bring the mind to that level so that I can, more and more, stay up above.  Then I will do whatever I need to do here.  I wont be careless or neglectful but I will save time and energy.  It will be done fast and I will have space to do something else.

Baba wants us to be the master bestowers.  Yesterday I was hearing Dadi’s one minute message and she was speaking about the ‘master bestowers’. This means able to give donation.  On one level mansaseva is global and it can be local.  But with the Brahmin family we can never give donation as they are taking from Baba.  However sometimes they may need a bit more cooperation and power so if you can share and support, yes you are the master bestower.  We have heard from Baba, that there isn’t need to take, because if we are taking from The Source, this is unlimited and is always available.  With the situations of human interaction, Baba last week was talking about ‘wanting respect and regard’ and due to lack we have expectations.   Today Baba is going deeper and explaining what it means to take.  ‘If you change, or he or she changes, then I can do that’ is also taking , as we are waiting for them to give and fulfil my need.  I want them to change…this is taking.  It is limited and also business.  On an inner level what do we need to be aware of?  Just my fortune and the possibility that whatever I need is available from Him.  So keep going with that, keep taking and then remember to give in terms of human interaction and through the power of the mind.

Today is a summary of all the things that Baba would like for us, and what we need to do.  It is a beautiful vision for the coming year.  The year it was spoken Baba said that whoever comes in the next season, had to be free from anger, and the Madhuban forms were adjusted accordingly to ask that question.  We did have some souls who said that they wished to go, but they  hadn’t been free from anger and volunteered to wait until they had done more effort before going to Madhuban.  Anger is very much connected with the whole subject of wanting and expect.  Baba is saying he will talk about this another time.  Baba also said that every centre should serve 900,000.  Media is one way, but maybe there are other ways too.  Dadi Janki introduced the notion of mega programmes, of 100,000 or more.  Ahmedabad did this in two weeks (most were Brahmins).  I was there and it was an amazing scene.  However Baba then said ok not a centre, but a zone take care of 900,000.  That didn’t happen at that time but now with social media it is definitely possible.  When Dadi came back 2019 we managed to make this happen with her words going out to many many via media.  So nevermind media, prepare your mind, with the right awareness and sanskars, and be upabove with Baba.  You won’t know but you will see later as you will see souls coming.  Baba also says that souls who come last, come fast.  I know this is happening already and we can see they are totally motivated to reveal Baba to the world.

Today’s Murli is very special.  Tomorrow is January when we practise silence so can we take our social interaction to the level of acknowledgement through drishti, so we create this atmosphere collectively.  If we all pay attention it can happen.  Everyone feels they need more yoga so we are returning to the system of  yoga from 7am-7.30am (at GCH) on Sunday mornings.  Also on Wednesday mornings, after the Murli, we will have personal reflection and sharing in pairs on the day’s blessing.

Om Shanti

Sudesh Didi – Complete Faith in the Self, Baba, Drama & Family – 30th December 2023, Global Bhatti Class - GCH, London

30 December 2023

Complete Faith in the Self, Baba, Drama & Family

Om shanti. Om shanti. Om shanti. Today, we will say it for the fourth time: Om shanti.

Shanti encompasses more than just peace; shanti is satisfaction; shanti is full stop; shanti is the culmination of an experience, and even faith itself.

What is the difference between faith and trust? Baba teaches us to be trustworthy and faithful. So, there are distinct aspects between having faith alone and being faithful. Trust is placing confidence in someone or something, whether it be trusting another person, trusting in the passage of time, or becoming worthy of others' trust.

To begin with, faith is initiated by experience of the soul. The soul undergoes testing, and through these tests, something different transpires. For instance, when you feel the sensation of cold, you are experiencing it. Similarly, there are certain things we feel and encounter that contribute to the firmness and development of faith.

It is connected with our property or the powers of the soul. But how does this faith develop? It starts when knowledge is given to us, and we observe something that may not be visible. Yet, we believe it to be true to such an extent that we instantly renounce everything. For instance, we have never seen a soul, nor has anyone else. However, the experience of the soul leaving the body is death; we are so certain that the person has died that we let go, though attachments may try to hold us back. The clear realisation of the separation between the soul and the body is what we call death. Hence, the soul and the body working together is life.

Baba has created faith in us that we are souls by giving us knowledge. Then, we observe and assess whether we trust or mistrust. This, too, becomes an experience. But faith is something that develops with intellect. Trust is a feeling, and it arises from the mind. It is a sense of expectation. We may feel that things will turn out a certain way, but when doubt is strong, trust wavers. Yet, there may still be hope that things can improve, perhaps due to a misunderstanding or a specific situation.

So, there is faith in the self when I receive the knowledge from Baba that I am a soul. The power of truth brings faith in the self. Similarly, when we witness the practical virtues of others, such as a doctor's ability to heal someone, we develop faith in their abilities and guidance.

But when we talk about having faith in the self as a soul, it requires accurate knowledge, which Baba is giving. it is true knowledge, right knowledge. When we practise and apply this knowledge in our lives, we can truly experience that we are souls. Without application, we cannot truly harness the power to become victorious.

Yoga helps me in this process, but the first aspect is gaining knowledge. The second aspect is how much I am implementing and experimenting with this knowledge, how much I am conscious of it. It is through the practical application of this knowledge that the power within me develops faith in the self. This faith in the self makes me victorious and gives me the confidence to trust in my actions and decisions. The combination of knowledge, practice, experimentation, and the power of experience, from the teachings of the Father, creates faith in myself. This faith allows me to trust in my abilities and believe that everything will be okay.

Soul consciousness is the faith I have in myself, which happens when I am actively experiencing my virtues within me. It is not just a thought or belief that I am a soul, but when my intellect accepts, understands, and connects with Baba, it receives the power that enables me to actually experience these virtues. With this power, I am able to make the right decisions, imbibe virtues, and put them into action as per the unfolding drama.

So, I have faith in the drama, I have faith in Baba, and I have faith in myself. When conflicts arise with others, I remind myself that we are all part of a spiritual family, and differences naturally exist within families. Some may have kind natures, some may be strong-willed, some may be gentle, and some may have the habit of criticising. But I accept them all because they are my family. Similarly, in our spiritual aspect, Baba has given me the knowledge that I am a soul, and I am a child of the Supreme Soul. I understand that within me lies the same qualities and personality of God: peace, love, wisdom, truth, benevolence, and purity. Of course, I recognise that my capacity to manifest these qualities is different. By being conscious of this capacity, I can check how much percentage I am using and experiencing these virtues. I have experienced many times that I am a peaceful soul. So, when challenging situations come, I can draw upon this knowledge and face the situation. I can handle the situations and challenges that come my way, and I observe them as drama.

And drama is accurate because it is teaching me something. In this drama, there is always something for me to learn. These four aspects: knowledge, yoga, dharna, and situations, which are either related to self-service or service to others. Wherever I find myself playing a part, it is an opportunity for me to learn or to share what I have already learned with others. When I actively engage in these actions, they become the real-life demonstration of the drama. The drama is not something separate; drama is the action and performance itself. Through my actions, I can exhibit my peace, love, and happiness. This reinforces the fact that I am truly a child of God and a fortunate soul. As I continue to use knowledge, and to believe in the truth of Baba's teachings, I develop greater self-respect and confidence. All four aspects work in harmony together. But, it is ultimately the question of truly, truly, truly believing in it.

I remember my first experience of soul consciousness, and how doubt can cause fluctuations. It was a very wonderful experience that occurred after an unofficial course. On that day, I had a realisation that I am indeed a child of God, and that my bodily parents are there only for this birth, while Baba is my eternal Parent.

As I got off the bus and began walking towards the centre. This intoxication, I, the soul, and the child of God, created a kind of connection that was such a great joy. This connection filled me with immense joy, to the point where I felt weightless, as if my body's weight had disappeared. I was walking a few inches above the ground, with my feet not fully touching the Earth. It was a windy day, and I could feel the leaves swiftly brushing against my foot. This awareness brought me back to my senses, as I began to worry about what people might think of my walking. This instant thought instantly brought me back down, and I again felt the weight in my body, losing the previous lightness I had experienced.

So, this experience wasn't a matter of questioning or experimenting, but rather a realisation that I need to continuously bring the joy of knowing that I am a child of Shiv Baba, a bodiless soul, into my life. This realisation deepens my faith in the inherent happiness of the soul. I simply need to contemplate and understand that this is the right path.

So, problems and challenging situations are actually part of the drama. By applying the power of knowledge, I can recognise that this world is a drama. But, I also need to apply certain principles to fully enjoy the drama.

Baba sats us to become "Saathi and Sakshi," meaning we should make Him our companion and become detached observers. By doing so, we will not absorb or be affected by the situations unfolding in the drama. For example, if someone shouts at us, we won't absorb their negativity and it won't affect us. Instead, we will witness the play that is happening. When we have faith and apply this knowledge in our lives, we can see the visible results. This is what is meant by having faith.

Faith brings victory, and in this aspect, it means having faith in the self, faith in Baba, and accepting all are parts of an unlimited family. Each of us has different sanskars and capacities, our nature is supposed to be different, otherwise what is drama?

Drama means variety; drama presents many challenges. What is the meaning of an actor? As an actor, when we begin to believe in every aspect of knowledge, faith in the self increases;  faith in others increases. As we follow Shrimat, our faith in our intellect increases as well. Our intellect becomes more divine and more and more sakshi , an observer , allowing us to see our own strength and not lose our happiness. Doubt may arise, but with faith, we can immediately solve it.

The same questions of why, what, where, and how may arise, but instead of posing them as doubts, we ask them with an answer in mind. This is what faith is all about. Having faith means believing that nothing will go wrong and that everything will be beneficial.

Having faith in time allows us to see the sudden scene unfold before us. We understand that this drama is beneficial, and whatever is happening is for our own good. The next scene provides us with an opportunity to share with others, or it may present a chance for us to learn something we haven't yet mastered. In either case, it builds faith and trust in ourselves.

In this aspect, the drama is like a powerful mother. It massages me and strengthens my bones. Because of this, I cannot doubt drama. A hero becomes active when there is a situation and a villain. So, I cannot doubt, even if there was a situation in the past that I disliked and still remember the pain and suffering. But that was in my past life or past cycle. It has passed now, though some remnants of it may still exist in this birth or in certain situations.

For example, imagine a basket of fruits where all the fruits have been used except for one rotten apple. The consciousness of that rotten fruit remains with me. But, I am getting new fruits. Drama means to see the new. Drama means that the next scene is important, so I need to have faith in it. If I put the rotten fruit in this basket, my future will also be affected. So, I need to understand that there is a reason why something happened in the past, and it has led to something good. So, I should not lose faith in the drama either because what happened was part of the past scene.

You have come here to learn or share what Baba has given. Baba has chosen me, so my part must be very special. God, having faith in Him, does not choose anyone ordinary. Even when we go to the market, we choose the best, so I cannot have doubt that God has chosen me, the wrong person. He knows what to do and where to place me in the drama. I have to watch it unfold, as it will be beneficial and offer me my best role.

So, faith in the self, Baba, and the drama all come together. This is how I see things, what my next role or part will be. With 100% faith in what I have learned so far, Baba will use it, and whatever I still need to learn, drama, the mother, will present it to me. As long as we are alive, we have to keep learning. And if we have learned the lessons, there will be no doubt, and we will always be victorious.

So, this is why faith brings victory in every aspect. And being faithful means being honest and loyal. Faithful means honesty and loyalty. I am not selfish; I am just an instrument. Trustworthiness is built upon selflessness and benevolence, and when others see this, they begin to trust as well.

But if I become selfish, nobody will trust me. So, there are certain dharna that creates faith, trust, and victory. But everything depends on these three elements working together: my mind with positive energy, my intellect with the knowledge and clarity that Baba has given, and my personality, which greatly benefits my development.

We are becoming deities, we are becoming victorious. Baba's power is working through us, and it is important to recognise the importance of time in realising the benefits of faith and self.

Soul power and God's power are coming together. So, I am victorious, having faith not only in the inheritance of the Golden Age but also in the present time. The question is how well I am able to maintain it. The main thing is having faith in and trusting myself. So, I must keep my vessel clean, and it will stay intact. If I put in something wrong, it will be driven away. I am responsible for creating faith, not doubt, in others and myself.

So, there is contentment, and complaints are absent while appreciation is there. Faith always brings contentment, appreciation, trust, support, cooperation, and respect. All of these are fruits of faith. Om shanti.

Greatness In One Second - Morning Class with Sudesh Didi On 25th, December At GCH, London

05 December 2024

Om shanti. Om shanti. Om shanti. This is a day of greatness, a special day. In India, Christmas day is referred to as the "Big Day." So, greatness makes one big, but this bigness is not in terms of size. To be big means to be unlimited, great, having some form of greatness within. So, time makes it very clear that this is the end of the year and the beginning of the new.

The teachings of Baba, which we have been hearing every day for the past few months, include the avyakt signals that we hear daily. For the entire month, there is a specific theme. This theme explores the cause, solution, and the actual effects of situations, whether they are positive or negative.

As Baba mentioned yesterday and today, we are currently in the Confluence Age. In this age, there is a change in the situation, marking the end of old times and the beginning of something new. What is wonderful about this knowledge is that the beginning comes first, and then something automatically comes to an end. We don't have to fight for it. When darkness is present, we know that light will come when the darkness fades away, just as night gives way to day. Light naturally replaces darkness. Otherwise, we continuously make effort throughout the night and demand the day to come, saying, “Day should come, day must come now.” But it will arrive on its own time. The cycle of time and the laws of nature, along with the laws of spirituality, make us aware of the true meaning of a truly great day or a day of purification.

Time is one day. But Baba says, "it only takes one second" to free yourself from all types of bondage. What is that one second? What does this mean? It means that the soul realises what they have to do to be or how much they have to become, and what their aim and objective should be. This state of introspection, connection, and correction happen when the soul follows Baba's directions.  Manmanabhav and Om Shanti encompass the entirety of Baba's knowledge. There are three mantras of Baba that we should bear in mind: Manmanabhav, Madhyajibhav, and hum so, so hum. These three mantras contain the entire knowledge, while also making us aware of the significance of this unlimited play of the drama of life.

When this unlimited play unfolds, and as a detached observer, we see ourselves through the mirror of introspection, and examine our own thoughts and vibrations. These thoughts and vibrations have an impact on others, conveying the state of our mind and what is happening within our hearts and minds. Waste thoughts and unnecessary thoughts are sure to reflect through our faces. Similarly, inner joy is reflected when we greet others with phrases like "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year." These words remind us of the passage of time and bring awareness of different days and times. Presently, we are aware that it is a time of purification and transformation, but through Godly direction, and realisation.

So, it's not only the birthday of Jesus, but also a time to emerge our original qualities and the power to let go of the past. This allows us to be free because the past creates bondage and limits our progress. Bondage can be strong or subtle, like being tied with a chain or a thin thread that is invisible. This thread is so subtle, it’s like a fishingline, you cannot see that it is happening.

We often waste time with unnecessary thoughts, diverting our intellect in different directions. Baba says Manmanabhav, teaches us to have yoga of the intellect with Him.  Om shanti means soil conscious, Om shanti, I am aware of my first quality, of purity and peace. This awareness automatically creates self-respect. Purity is the power But Baba says it is not only celibacy, but purity of the mind and divinity of the intellect, and sanksars are of perfection, completely viceless. So, be bodiless.

What is the meaning of being bodiless? What does dehbhaan (body consciousness) signify, as well as the awareness of the body? Then, there is deh abhimaan (body consciousness) and deh andhkaar (egocentric nature). Dehbhaan refers to being conscious of one's gender, age; means I am conscious of whether I'm male or female, I'm young or old, I am seeing more of my external identity. And while being in this body, we see ourselves as separate energy which is making the body function, that drives our mind and generates different thoughts.

Without being soul conscious, we cannot truly be Manmanabhav. Yesterday, Baba spoke about the importance of balance in our actions, thoughts, and intentions. Dehbhaan  makes us aware of our physical body, which is composed of elements and possesses gravity. Baba says our mind should not be influenced or controlled by weaknesses, nor by the actions or opinions of others. Instead, we should work on finishing waste thoughts and creating the best thoughts.

Deh abhimaan makes us identify strongly with our physical bodies, making us think and believe that we are “so-and-so”. However, if we are soul conscious, we would understand that we are special children of Baba at the Confluence Age, which brings great joy and a sense of belonging.

On the other hand, deh abhimaan directs our attention towards the weaknesses of others, while ego has the power to make others feel weak through its own perceived goodness. True goodness, however, does not rely on making others feel inferior with selfish motive or ego.

Ego is the most subtle and potent, greatest and most powerful impurity that creates impure and waste thoughts in the mind. Baba says that it is such a bondage and a cobweb that traps us.

So, with the mirror of introspection, I need to check at which stage I am truly bodiless. It implies that I should have a reduced focus on myself, less thinking about my colour, age, qualities, or position. The consciousness of "mine" should not be present, nor should I be body conscious. I must also be aware that this physical form is merely a dress. It doesn't matter what colour it is; it represents the diverse world with its variety of situations.

So, when I am bodiless, the actions of others in their body consciousness will not affect me. My focus would always be on understanding the qualities of the soul. Instead of worrying about others, I use introspection as a mirror to reflect on myself and contemplate the transformation happening through Baba's power. This leads to a change taking place. In order to bring about this transformation, I need to let go of thinking about others, parchitan. Instead, I should focus on swachitan (looking at myself) with honesty.

When I engage in honest introspection, I am able to truly examine myself with sincerity. This honesty allows me to receive power from Baba and receive good wishes from others. With this honesty, waste thoughts do not arise.

There is nothing to prove, nothing to claim, and nothing to attach oneself to. Because it is pure energy, it requires an honest introspection of the self. This is called swadarshan (self-realisation.) When we engage in swadarshanpardarshan, the need to look at or judge others, diminishes. The influence of others, parmat, also fades away when we follow Shrimat.

Swadarshan is not just about reciting the knowledge of the cycle, where we were in the Golden Age, then the Silver Age, and then the Copper Age. It is about the present moment and the state of our mind. It involves understanding how our mind is functioning, the depth of our intellect's connection with Baba through yoga, and observing our actions. We need to be aware if our actions are driven by ego or if we sometimes perform good actions with the intention of impressing others or making them depend on us.

So, instead of focusing on others, I need to shift my perspective and see myself through a lens that allows me to introspect. I shouldn't pay much attention to external matters; “see but don't see.” This is why yoga is important; it gives me the power to discern between right and wrong. Through yoga, I gain the ability to recognise my own weaknesses and observe my own face with the divine light, Godly light, the light of knowledge.

And when both my mind and intellect are connected with Baba, automatically through Baba's company, Baba, my Companion, Baba, my Canopy, I am protected. I need to constantly check whether I am following this path. We have observed that sometimes we tend to jump from one state to another. The key is to keep the focus of our intellect on Baba. This way, the questions that arise in our intellect, questioning why things happen the way they do when we are driven by our ego, pointing the finger on others , will no longer always be directed towards others.

Being soul conscious enables me to observe my own mind, intellect, and sanskars, like three fingers pointing back at myself. With honest realisation, my mind is naturally singing the praises of Baba. Automatically, there is an experience of freedom and joy. Recognising myself in this way makes everything much easier, as I can cure and transform myself with the power of Baba's love.

What is His love? Baba says that He comes during this dark night to give us a gift. So, just like Santa Claus who enters through the chimney a couple of days before Christmas, when we are all in darkness, Baba comes onto this planet and His love becomes direct. The love from Baba signifies the gifts He has given us, and as we start loving those gifts, we also appreciate His divine powers. When our focus is on our own vision and divine intellect, satisfaction arises automatically, and time is no longer wasted.

Manmat weakens while Shrimat becomes the power to see others in the consciousness that they are Baba's selected children. These children of Baba’s fortunate children. I am one of Baba's fortunate children, and this realisation emerges self-respect within me.

Yoga of the intellect means that I am becoming a yogi, and the power of love increases within me. This makes me a Raj Yogi, as the divine intellect allows me to observe as a detached observer, empowering me to transform myself and I am the conqueror of my own sense organs. This divine intellect will naturally propel me towards performing righteous actions, and my sanksars will be elevated.

So, while we may put other gifts somewhere unused, Godly gifts, spiritual gifts are the gifts that become our sanskars. When we receive this knowledge, the packet of knowledge contains yoga, then it contains the Godly power of purity, which creates self-respect within us. The power of forgiveness also sets us free from guilt and sorrow.

So, at this time, we receive a certain power in the form of a gift from Baba: Baba's virtues and Baba's power are present. However, if I do not use it, I will not be able to experience it. It is similar to someone cooking delicious food and offering it to me, but if I do not taste it, I will not truly experience its flavour. Similarly, in order to change the feelings of the mind, we must engage in manan chintan, self-reflection, swachintan. Then, we can move to Prabhu chintan, contemplating our own mind, intellect, and sanskars, as they are interconnected.

Swadarshan is being aware of one's present stage in life. Swadarshan is to contemplate how fortunate we are that God has come for us and given us the gifts, to transform us in the process. The power we experience through our relationship with Baba, they automatically become gyan and yoga, becoming scissors that cut the bondage holding us back.

So, the yoga of the intellect, buddhi yoga, is present. Waste is being eliminated, and the best is emerging. It automatically leads to the state of being bodiless, which is called videhi, and also the avyakt stage, the subtle stage, and different from ordinary stages. In this avyakt (subtle) stage, one becomes a detached observer.

When we observe BapDada together, we witness how Baba's concentration and stability are filled with power, unaffected by whatever is happening in the hall or on the stage. When we start questioning why things are happening, knowledge becomes clear in soul consciousness. We find positive answers to our why, what, where, and how, discovering both the reasons and solutions.

If my intellect is driven by ego, I tend to blame others while expecting from them. In the avyakt stage, the stage of the incorporeal, I experience being in the body and observing the corporeal world. As Baba mentioned the other day, just as Shiv Baba enters Brahma's body, the body is present, but He can come and go.

We still remain conscious of the body and reside in it, but when we detach ourselves, we find the answers to our questions. We begin to understand the philosophy of karma and delve deeper into understanding the sanskars of other people. We take action to remove ourselves from the influences of others. This means our inner light is ignited. The darkness of ignorance that once caused us to stumble no longer affects us, as our focus is on Baba.

Today is Christmas time, when the whole tree is adorned with lights. The original tree at the Confluence Age is Baba, the Seed, along with His children Brahma, Adi Dev, and Mama, Adi Devi. They serve as examples and samples for others. In order to finish manmat, the dictates of our own mind, which is influenced by body consciousness, and parmat, the external influences of competition and comparison, we must free ourselves from them. Following Shrimat is necessary to overcome these influences and achieve liberation from them.

Baba's teachings are simple, but they hold great secrets within them. Just like a seed that needs proper watering to flourish, even though the concepts may appear straightforward, the profoundness lies in their application. As we transform into living lights, becoming angels, we embody the qualities of angels, such as being free from attachments and offering help without seeking recognition.

In this aspect, we become incorporeal, that you are not even dehbhaan, detached from the body. This realisation prevents the ego from creating conflicts with others. Ego is when we make others feel guilty while presenting ourselves as superior.

When, with realisation and with honesty, I genuinely reflect and maintain this connection with Baba, His power makes me free.

If I have experienced it, it is not a matter of questioning its existence. However, if I use the word "if," it is similar to the way Baba uses it to explain cause and effect, If this will happen, that will happen. I don't need to use the word "if"; it reflects my lack of realisation. Instead, I should examine myself and question why certain situations occur. Prabhu Darshan reveals how Baba teaches us this level of consciousness, transforming and purifying us, and bringing new world for us as a golden gift.

Baba says, "I have brought paradise for you in My Hand." As a worthy child, I become Baba's instrument and free myself from various bondages and the nine weaknesses that Baba mentioned as areas in need of transformation. My aim and objective become clearer, guided by the light within. I transform into an angel, liberated from burdens and attachments. This realisation not only influences my thinking but also drives my actions. With this consciousness, the right consciousness is attained, leading to perfection.

Congratulations to both myself and others, for it is a great blessing that God Himself is present. While founders of religions are often praised, we take power directly from the Supreme. Now, we have the opportunity to connect directly with Him. Every day, Baba teaches and guides us, and I keep His Company. Through this companionship, I receive all the blessings and power.

The power of love is truly magical, for our transformation and it also frees us from our bondages. Experiencing the love and relationship with Baba is a beautiful and fulfilling journey. Relationship protects; relationship inspires and relationship uplifts us.

Om shanti.

Light and Might - Sudesh Didi's Morning Class on 19th December, 2023, at GCH London

31 December 2023

Om shanti. Om shanti. Om shanti. Lighthouse and might-house; ever-light and double-might. In today's Sakar Murli, Baba emphasised doing service and giving the message to everyone. The message is to become light, as light is the power to see, meaning that the light of knowledge is present, the knowledge is light. And when knowledge is put into practice, it becomes might.

Just like when you are studying in school, you are gaining clarity in a particular subject, whether it's medicine, engineering, or any other subject you are studying. During that time, you are actually acquiring the light of that subject. When we start practising it, it becomes the might of that subject, and eventually, we pass the subject. Although we don't become a doctor while still in school, we are becoming a doctor. We become specialists when we put what we have learned into practice and help others.

So, light is also double-light, lightness. If someone has behaved in a very strange way, or you felt that you were not respected, accepted, or given a chance, or you were ignored, or something is hurting you, what is happening at that time? The mind or the heart, these feelings of the mind and heart can cause pain and heaviness. But when you share with someone, that burden is removed. But with which consciousness should you share?

If you share your pain with dissatisfaction or complaint, it not only makes your heart heavier and causes more pain, but you also pass on this pain to others who listen, infecting them as well. It is called an infection, as the disease will change the perspective of the other person. This means that your pain and dissatisfaction will change the perception of the other person. So, this means that my account must be with that one person with whom the incident occurred and the change did not happen satisfactorily. In this case, instead of service, it becomes a disservice, as you make others unhappy and also change their vision.

Instead of seeing the pure light and seeing the light in others, I find myself focusing on their dark side. Instead of being positive, I have started fixating on the negative aspects. But when one has the knowledge of drama, self, and God, we are able to see things from a different vision.

So, when Baba says that others can see the light, it does not necessarily mean a light that is visible. Rather, when you connect with others, you naturally make others light, even if it is through sharing. But this can only happen when you become bodiless.

Today Baba spoke about how we are beggars. In Hindi, ghar (home), the body is our house. We don't have any base here, we have a base as a house, and that our permanent address is in the Soul World. This body is not our permanent address; it is not our permanent costume.

Attachment also creates heaviness, fear creates heaviness, and insecurity creates heaviness. Therefore, the cultivation of internal light through bodilessness, helps to eliminate the attachment, attraction, and influence that stem from body consciousness, both in myself and in others. It is important for me to check whether I am truly becoming “a house of lightness” and an embodiment of Godly powers. Baba has mercy, love, forgiveness, acceptance, and the power to create self-respect in others.

So, you can actually give light with the might of your spiritual power, and souls receive it. Baba is known as the Almighty, without a physical body, as it is not the body that possesses these powers, but the power of all virtues. It is these virtues that make us might-houses. Om shanti.

"The Essence of Manmanabhav" - Murli Revision Class by Sudesh Didi on 12the December, 2023, at GCH, London

31 December 2023

Om shanti. Today's Avyakt Signal is about being ignorant of the knowledge of desire. It is about not having any desires for name, fame, position, and respect. When one is free from these desires, as Baba has said, one becomes truly powerful. The presence of these desires always creates a sense of lacking something. In fact, we have and what we want is within us, but we have not given it importance. When we ignore its significance, we fail to recognise the importance of it.

God has given upon me many different titles, but I refuse to accept them. He tells me that I am a child of the Almighty and that I possess the power to remain unaffected and uninfluenced. But there are times when I feel weak and think, "I am weak, I cannot tolerate, I cannot accept." As a result, I fail to believe in any of these titles such as master knowledgeable, master loveful, or master peaceful. Instead of just focusing on the inheritance of the Golden Age, do I experience the inheritance of the Confluence Age? The Confluence Age is the time for my own recognition and liberating from the possessiveness that has consumed me. It is only when I am no longer possessed by external influences that my actions align with my true self. When I am possessed, the actions are always according to what the evil spirit I am possessed.

Now, I can differentiate between what or who is overpowering me and become detached from my old self. While I am detached from other things, it is important that I acknowledge and recognise what is influencing me. Baba has given me the knowledge to recognise Maya in its various forms. Baba says that that through my power of discrimination and knowledge, you are able to recognise God and, in the same way, recognise Maya or Ravan, because Maya or Ravan can manifest in a subtle form of temptation, false promises, or deception. Thus, I need to be careful that I do not deceive myself.

So Manmanabhav means to have powerful yoga to finish past influences, while Madyajibhav means to make effort to become knowledgeable and create a future. If one remains occupied and actively create their future, Maya will not come to to them, as Maya is not interested in future. Maya is interested in the past because we were in her kingdom. This is the significance behind the two mantras: Manmanabhav and Madyajibhav.

The meaning of "Manmanabhav" is given as follows: "Turn your mind towards Me," "Focus your mind on Me," "Be Mine with your mind," and ultimately "make your mind like My Mind How does God's Mind work? How does God's intellect work? And what are God Sanskars? In this Confluence Age, my aim is to make my mind, intellect, and sanskars with Baba's, as Baba is not only the Mind but also the intellect and Sanskars. This inheritance of my Godly birth right is at this time. In the Golden Age, birth is divine, and there is no concept of a Godly birth right; there exists one status lower. God’s divine community and then Golden Ages and Silver ages. Now at the Confluence Age, we are at the highest time as it is both the Godly and Brahmin together.

As a child of the Almighty, I cannot be affected, attracted, or influenced. Today's Murli slogan emphasises that a powerful soul is one who cannot be influenced by any person or matter. Thus, I recognise I am the child of the Almighty. By letting Baba to be in front of me, Maya does not come to me. When a child sits in their mother's lap, no one can harm or express anger towards them, regardless of any unhappiness that may arise. Instead, people come to praise the child, saying things like "You are very lovely. You are very good. You are very beautiful." Similarly, when I sit on Baba's lap, Maya cannot come to me. This is the essence of Manmanabhav. Om shanti.

Transformation of Sanskaars - Class with Sr. Jayanti on 24th December, 2023, at GCH, London

30 December 2023

We know the real Santaclaus who comes in the darkest night bringing lots of gifts and fortune for all of us.  Today’s Murli is full of gifts.  In particular in the month of January we think a lot about Brahma Baba.

Have you noticed that children will always check with their parent for reassurance when learning to do things.  When asked a question,I have noticed before a child will reply,  he will look at his parents and then give a reply. It’s just an indication of how when a child will want to connect with the parents and accordingly will then be able to give a response. And, so, when Baba says follow the father, it’s a reminder of that. Just take a nod from Baba, and Brahma Baba is the one we follow. Shiv Baba, we remember and love and we take our inheritance from Shiv Baba but in terms of following in our life, it’s Brahma Baba.

Baba has talked today a great deal about changing sanskars. We have very good thoughts, we have pure thoughts but then when it comes to words it reduces a little bit, to about 75%. Maybe our words are so elevated that people say “wonderful”, they clap their hands and appreciate everything yet in particular it is about our actions. It’s said actions speak louder than words, so what is the quality of my action? Is the quality of my action as Baba would want it to be? Can I just take a look at Baba in my mind for a moment and see what it is that Baba would like me to do before I do something? Because if I think about Baba afterwards it’s a bit late. If I ask Baba,’ is this okay?’ Baba will give me a signal. It’s not imagination, it’s the reality of a relationship. And all of us have a relationship with, not only Shiv Baba, but also Brahma Baba. This is why the other day Baba was saying our surname is BK. Not your first name. Your first name is whatever it is. And you are Brahma Kumar or Brahma Kumari.  In that awareness, let me really look at my Father and see what sort of thoughts my Father has... Baba expresses theset very clearly in the Murli. The thoughts that Baba has, the words that Baba speaks. We hear those his actions we have heard much about and  we’ll be hearing a lot more through January. We  know what  Baba would like and what it is that Baba tells me not to do. When I see Brahma Baba then all the gifts from Shiv Baba are there for me to experience.

Baba has talked about the transformation of actions. And actions change when sanskars change. So which sanskars am I using? Am I using my original sanskars:  purity, peace,  love and truth? All other qualities are connected with these. Baba has said, if you want to overcome anger then remember your original sanskar of peace as well as remember your original sanskar of tolerance.  Peace and tolerance are definitely connected together. Baba is saying to emerge those treasures that Baba has reminded you of, experiment with each one of these qualities and experience it. And if you experience it, see Baba and remind yourself “this is how Baba would do something” then you know you’re on the right track. Otherwise, the old sanskars keep emerging. Dadi used to say: “Don’t use your old sanskars as, if you do that, they will use you, which means  old sanskars will control me instead of me choosing what sanskars I would like to use and have in my life.

The whole subject of this Murli is  transformation of sanskars but, in particular, anger. I won’t repeat the whole Murli to you as you’ll be hearing it. Baba has pointed out that anger is connected deeply with desires. Ego,desires, greed. Baba has used the word “greed”.  Think of what it was that you  used to get angry about – you don’t get angry anymore! Is that right? Nobody gets angry? A little bit here and there. Baba has explained everything very clearly.  Just thinking about how Baba, the Supreme Psychologist, explains how everything is interconnected and we understand and can see everything that’s going on inside ourselves.  With this awareness we can start dealing with things. Baba’s used the word “greed” but it’s desire. It’s not just desire for food, objects, clothes and things. The desire I have for something to happen and it’s not happening. You begin to feel things welling up inside of you, so that’s the moment to ask the question, well what is it that Baba wants me to do now? And the answer will come through clearly and you’ll know  to change that thought. Why should drama behave in the way I want it to behave? Why should others behave in the way I want them to behave? There’s no reason so allow Drama  to take its own course.  I want drama to go like this and it’s going like that and in that moment  there’s a reaction coming up inside. Baba is saying “Just be aware that whatever is happening is right, it’s good. Why desire? If it’s a pure one, for sure, it’ll be fulfilled.

Brahma Baba had very many powerful thoughts about service; to uplift different communities and in sakar Baba’s days it didn’t happen. For example, Baba used to say, find a shop in a city centre and do service through that and a lot of people will come. We used to have exhibitions in city centres in Bharat and outside. Finally a moment came when Dadi had a thought – and I can tell you exactly when she had the thought, or when she expressed it and in 1991 we got GCH. In 1993 we got GRC and at the opening of the retreat centre,  Dadi Gulzar and Dadi Janki are walking around the garden, just below the balcony where Dadi Janki’s room is, and she suddenly stops and holds Dadi Gulzar by the arm and looks at her and says “There’s one more thought I have, to have a centre  in the city, right in the heart of town. Can you ask Baba?” And Dadi Gulzar said, wait, I’ll ask Baba later but you’ve just started the retreat centre now, give it full attention for at least a couple of years and then we can think about a centre in the city. Literally, two years later we found a place in Regent Street. Yesterday Baba said, in the revision that we’re doing, the Murli of 1972 “your pure thoughts will be fulfilled and take practical shape but if you have too many thoughts then the quality of your thoughts can’t be so pure as it’ll be diluted as it will be mixed with other things”. Whether it was Brahma Baba or  Dadi Janki, their powerful, pure thoughts  manifested in a very real way, practically. But not at the time necessarily that they wanted it, so they had the patience.

If it’s a pure thought for Baba’s service, it’ll happen at the right time. Sometimes when things – I say, but it wasn’t for me, it was for service – so why isn’t it happening? It’s okay,  it’s happening to teach me patience and  more tolerance. Maybe others are not yet ready to serve there. Anything requires teamwork. It requires many to come together and only then something can happen.  I alone can’t make things happen but if there’s others who share that thought then together we can make things happen. So, can I be very aware of the difference between ‘my’ desires and pure desires  and differentiate? Is it really that my thought is coming by a touching from Baba or is it my thought? I’ve seen this happen many times.  Somebody will come and say, I really had this touching from Baba. I want to do this. It’s for Baba. And, as I hear it,  I’m thinking Baba has not said this. Once a  person said to me, I had the thought of serving in such and such a place but it’s not possible for me to manage this service on my own. I need to have somebody else with me and it’s better if it’s a particular bother… I heard warning bells.. She needs this brother to make service happen. This is while we still had lots of countries where we didn’t have centres. Now there’s very few countries where we don’t have centres. I listened to her and held back my judgement and said , okay, we’ll discuss it with Dadi when Dadi comes. Of course, Dadi came and she shared this thought and Dadi had the authority to say to her, that’s your thought, it’s not Baba. Now, I don’t think I can say that to anyone but yet still there are  warning bells and maybe what you say is, wait and let’s see how drama unfolds.  Meanwhile drama will show the course in the right way anyway. My point was that when it’s my desire and I’m impatient then I get angry, but it shouldn’t be that things happen that I want. When things take time, that time is always, always well spent to fulfil whatever is the need.  For nine years, winter, summer, whatever it was, Dadi would leave Baba Bhawan precisely at 6.15am and  the driver  would come to pick us up very promptly,  to come to Dudden Hill to be able to take class there. During that period of nine years we must have visited so many different places looking, looking, looking, but we wanted a place with two big rooms, for Hindi class and English class and we weren’t finding anything. Dadi was always patient, it’ll happen at the right time. And, I look back and that time taught us, the whole family, many, many things and I won’t go into the detail of that.

If something isn’t happening it’s okay. Have patience, peace, tolerance and learning, all of that. And, where it is my desire, have you ever seen that, if it’s my personal desire and I want something to happen and it does happen, it brings with itself many other problems. Have you noticed that because it’s my desire – okay, it happens, according to drama, my sanskars push and I make it happen – but the repercussions of that create a lot of complications and so it’s very important to see what’s going on inside of me.

Baba has mentioned, of course, the other reason for anger is ego.and we’ve seen how that works anyway. I am older than you, I am bigger than you, I am cleverer than you. The I, I, I come in, and I expect someone else to do what I want them to do. Baba is reminding us to be introverted, go inside and see what it is you need to do for yourself. And, if you can do what is needed for yourself inside then your vision of others will change very much and you’ll be able to see each one with that vision of love and respect. Because, externally, I don’t always know what somebody is doing; I don’t need to know because their string is in God’s hands and God is responsible for them and whatever it is that is needed God will provide for them. Whether it’s teachings at the right time, whether it’s realizations at the right time. I don’t just mean external things. God provides that also. But all the inner things they need for transformation  will happen for them at the right time.  I don’t need to think and give it time and energy. If I’m really looking inside myself then I’m focused on that.  I don’t have time to be looking at others and wasting time thinking of others. Thoughts are precious, my time is valuable and there’s a lot of work I still need to do inside.  Let me get on with it and do whatever is needed. Baba’s answer to the transformation of sanskars is introversion. Go inside and see what you need to do and change your sanskars accordingly

Baba has also taken up  fear  in the blessing. Baba is saying how the world is very, very afraid, and in particular, afraid of untimely death. Now, just cast your eye over the planet and you realise that Baba’s talking about today. It was bad whenever it is that Baba spoke the Murli, and we don’t know which date it is because it’s just the blessing, not the full murli, but today we see that it’s anxiety, whether it’s climate anxiety and the fear that young people have about the future. Old folk, they can see what’s happening now because they’ve seen what’s gone on in the last few years, the heat, the storms, all of this, but yet still, in a way, maybe they think that whatever the scientists are saying still has 30 years to go and I won’t be around at that time anyway. Definitely, the people dealing in oil are not thinking about 30 years from now. People in government are not thinking about 30 years from now. That’s not part of their vision at all but for young people it’s the reality. Now whatever happens in drama is whatever but for them 30 years is not far to go. If I’m ten years old, twenty years old, and in 30 years what will I be doing, where will I be, what will the world be like then?

So, whether that’s there or whether it’s the wars that are going on, every day there’s fear that I might die any minute. It’s the reality for many, many people on the planet. And Baba is saying, people out there would say that the opposite of fear is love and definitely Baba gives us a huge amount of love and that ameliorates our fear definitely. When a child is scared, what does a child do? Run to the mother or the father. And so if I feel fear coming and I go to Baba, Baba’s love, Baba’s power, calms me down. It’s instant, it’s immediate. But the thing that Baba’s mentioned today is to share with them the things of happiness and I was again thinking that how true this is. If you share something that can make a child happy the fear dissolves. I’m speaking about children because you see the immediate response of children, very transparent. And you see that if they’re scared, yes, you give them a hug but also if you just tell them nice things and make them happy, and once they’re happy the fear has gone away. So Baba is saying, tell them good things, not just children, but everyone’s a child at heart and we are all God’s children. So tell them the happy news of eternity, or immortality, how the soul is eternal, but also the story of the future. That Baba has come to give us long life, immortal life as deities. And as you share that good news with them they’ll also be able to experience happiness

So, it’s beautiful to see how Baba’s Murlis are alive and relevant for us today, the sakar murlis as well as the avyakt murlis. So when Baba says, I am the One who is teaching you, it is very much the present. It’s not that Baba used to teach me in the past and now today I’m just reading a paper, but Baba is very much with us and teaching us at every step. And, the experience that I think many of you have and I think that today’s murli, many of you will say, I was just thinking about it and Baba’s giving me the answer, so you’ll find that Baba’s murli has many, many answers also.

Baba has asked the question, how is it that Baba has to keep saying ‘but’? You children are really lovely children … but… You children have a lot of love and faith … but… So, when is the time going to come when Baba doesn’t have to say ‘but’ anymore, at all? The reality will be as Baba wants it to be, and as we all want it to be. So we have to remove ‘but’ from our language. You know how we say, well, everything was okay, but this thing happened, so the list of short words that Baba has said we must never use, when? If? How? All of these words but we have to add this word ‘but’ to our dictionary of what we have to be careful of and eliminate. So, is there a situation when I say, well I was actually managing very well … but .. It’s such a common expression in our language because it happens, it’s reality. Baba also has to use the word ‘but’. So, make myself free from ‘but’, but make Baba free from also using ‘but’.

I’m also very aware that all the things that Baba is teaching us now are for now, in the sense that the times have changed and there are more and more challenging situations that are coming. And, whatever it is that I haven’t managed yet, let me do it now, in this space of time that still remains for me. And, if I can do it now I‘ll reach my destination.

One last point How often is it that you’ve had the thought, so and so’s supposed to be a senior, so and so’s supposed to be a maharathi and if they’re doing this it gives me the permission to do that. Or, why are they doing this? They shouldn’t be doing this. A word of comfort for those who are seniors, which means long-term in gyan, 30 years, 40 years, 50 years plus. Baba’s saying, don’t see their faults, see their plus points, see all their good qualities but also remember that whatever service they’ve done through those long years, whatever effort they’ve made through these long years, whether it’s renunciation, whether it’s tapasya which isn’t visible today, but all of that is there in their account and even though there’s a weakness there, because of that background they will be able to pass with honour. And so a word of comfort for those over 30 years in gyan. But also a reminder, it’s not here my vision has to focus but my vision has to focus truly on the Father, and if I’m seeing the father, Brahma Baba, then I know what it is I have to do.

London’s very lucky. We not only constantly get Madhuban toli but we get Madhuban residents who come bringing us that toli and we now have three brothers from Madhuban and I’m going to ask them to come up on stage and say hello to all of you.

OM SHANTI
