Sudesh Didi – 27th December 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London: Meditation, Remembrance and Yoga

31 December 2022

Om Shanti Om Shanti. Good morning. Every morning, Baba, the Ocean of Knowledge, the Sun of Knowledge, gives us light and the depth of knowledge, that makes us aware of the importance of different aspects of knowledge. Every day, Baba emphasises, “Remember Me. Remember Me. Forget your body and bodily relations. Remember Me alone. Focus your mind on Me. Communicate with Me.”  People use different expressions like the word meditate, and Baba uses remembrance, a different expression.

The question is: What is the difference between meditation, remembrance and yoga?   when we are meditating, we say we have evening meditation, we have morning meditation, we say half an hour meditation in the morning before Murli, and we say evening meditation for 7:00 pm.

So, it is the same, is it not? At that time, we are remembering Baba, and then, when we have extra meditation, don’t we call it yoga bhatti? So, what is the difference? Actually, is there any difference between the stages of consciousness? In fact, both; there is a difference and there is no difference.

The difference is that the term meditation is used as an expression by people. Traditionally, the term yoga is also used, but remembrance is what Baba emphasises. Other people say to remember God; at the time of death, they remind God. Then, they say remember the name of God and your boat will go across, but very rarely, this expression is used. Baba uses this term constantly in the Murlis.

Generally, when we use this term meditation, the focus is to check whether my mind is discontented, if there is concentration, and if my thoughts are really clean and pure. So, it is actually monitoring or purifying or directing the mind with positive consciousness, or pure awareness and consciousness. But it does not necessarily mean that they are experiencing godly qualities.

Meditation for us is soul consciousness; soul consciousness means we are aware of the qualities of the soul, that I am a pure and peaceful soul, I am a loveful and powerful soul. When we give a class to new people, we remind them of this aspect, and we say, let’s have a few minutes of meditation. After the lecture, after the programme, we use the word meditation. So, at that time, we are actually taking only one aspect of remembrance, that is, remembering that I am a soul, focusing on the thoughts, feelings, the intention.

Remembrance is actually relationship. Remembering Baba, you remember the one you have a relationship or friendship with; the relation with Mother, Father, or the relationship with the Teacher. Baba says, “Have all relationships with Me”. And these relationships which we are aware of, is a real relationship with realisation, with understanding with deep faith, intoxication and happiness in our mind. The soul has a deep feeling that this is true. Knowledge strengthens your faith: I, the soul, am the child of God. So, the qualities of the soul are connected with the qualities of God, the Supreme. It is called relating; when there is a relationship, you begin to relate while you are walking, talking, and moving, with different relationships. The relationship of the Father, my Parents, my Mother and Father, so, Godly love and protection. The Godly qualities and Godly powers are my inheritance from Baba; they are inherent qualities. It is not that I am receiving inheritance now. It's fixed; it is my birthright. When Baba tells us to remember our birthright, it means to develop a new consciousness; this child is developing a relationship through the experience of communicating with the Mother and Father. So, in meditation, we are communicating; in action, we are also communicating, with Baba’s qualities in soul consciousness. Baba and Baba’s qualities are connected together. God is Love, God is Power, God is the Embodiment of Bliss, and God is Truth. Through the remembrance of these Godly qualities, they are becoming true in our life.

Relationship does not necessarily mean that you have to sit and meditate in order to experience the relationship. While walking, talking, sitting, eating, there can be different ways of remembrance, such as God has given you a task, or you have achieved something.

For example, you want to speak to someone, and you say, “I remember I wanted to make a phone call, but I forgot.” Suddenly, you remember you want to make a phone call to someone, maybe to your mother or father or friend. It means you have not forgotten that person, but you have forgotten that task. So, in the same way, it is not that our relationship with God is broken or forgotten. The experience is awakened again, and we make it present in our personalities. So, we remember by remembering His directions and His teachings. So, remembrance does not mean that you have remembered the face of the person. When you remember your mother and father, the images of their faces come to your mind later on; it is the experience of being their child, the role and the task of being their child that comes first; your responsibility comes first in the mind. So, it is not that I have to focus on the Dot, or I have to focus on Brahma Baba; the relationship is natural. This is why remembering while walking, talking, sitting and eating, is also known as a pilgrimage of remembrance. This awareness of the relationship of the soul with the Supreme Soul, or the relationship of my present life as a Brahmin. So, it is a pure relationship, it is a new life, new consciousness, and new awareness with a new goal. It is a different time from what we had been remembering on the path of bhakti (devotion). So in this remembrance, you begin to see your own personal relationship, and experience that relationship which in turn, strengthens the soul, making the stage powerful.

There is a difference between remembering on the path of devotion and remembering with knowledge. On the path of devotion, we use somebody else's experience. Scriptures are written, prayers are written hymns are written, and we are repeating this. On their behalf, they have said something and we are repeating it. It is just like trying to see my face through someone’s eyes. In order to see my face, I need my own eyes. Of course, in order to see your face, you need a mirror. In fact, knowledge is a mirror for us. Scriptures are mirrors for someone else. In order to see my own face, I need my own eyes. A blind person can be given a big mirror, but he cannot see his face. So what is needed is your own eyes, but also your own eyesight, the light in your eyes. A blind person has eyes but does not have sight. Baba says knowledge (the pictures) is the mirror in front of the blind (Sakar Murli 24/02/2022). In fact, this mirror of knowledge is the light for us. When this light of knowledge is in me, we can truly see that God is my Mother and Father.

Why is it that I am not experiencing love? It is so natural to experience God’s love. It is because of body consciousness, we have developed the expectation of experiencing love in a gross way, the physical way, the emotional way, to fulfil our desires. We think that this is the mother's love if we receive some gifts from them. She loves me very much, and she appreciates me, so she loves me. This is a superficial way of love. But love is sustenance through guidance, through knowledge.

God's love is not like worldly temporary love. Knowledge enables us to experience God's love while walking, talking, sitting and eating, which purifies our consciousness, and enables us to enhance our own stability, strength, our own qualities. You become more knowledgeable about who you are as a child of God. So, there is faith that the Godly qualities must be inherent, and this relationship is a true relationship. I forget that I am a soul, and my relationship is switched off.

The relationship is eternal; God did not give birth to the soul, and yet I am the child. How did I get this birth? Through realisation that I am a soul. Awakening is my birth; realisation is my birth; belief and communication is my birth. This is why Baba says that without the right understanding or introduction to God, you cannot remember Him. Through different ways of introduction, the eternal soul has rejuvenated again; the soul who was unconscious, became conscious again; the soul who was influenced by the body, receives the right consciousness again.

The recognition and awareness of the soul, the consciousness of the soul was forgotten, I had forgotten the importance of my own self. And yet I, the soul, am working in the body, the body does not do anything. It is only a tool, but being unable to grasp the knowledge or the use of this light, I was not keeping this in mind. And so, remember Baba in different ways: the relationship of the Mother, the relationship of the Father, or the task which Baba has given to me, or the responsibility I have taken. So, this is the Mother, Father, Friend, Teacher, Beloved, Guide, and Laundryman. Baba shows me how I can have different relationships with Him. He says, “I am your Surgeon. I have come to remove all your sickness.” I realise it is not about removing the physical sickness, but He gives me the power to handle the physical sickness of the body. But in fact, the real realisation, real sickness is the weakness and sickness of vices. When we are angry, what is it? It is a sickness. Hopelessness is weakness; when one becomes depressed, it is called a sickness. In fact, it is a lack of faith, a lack of self-respect, and a lack of realisation. So this is also the weakness and sickness of vices.

Baba comes and then creates self-respect. His method is: Instead of me physically getting this power from human beings, God is giving me power directly every day. But because I lack belief and self-respect, the soul loses that power. This is when one needs to take support from human beings for this visible energy; we hope for someone whom we can confidently speak to without fear, someone who respects us and does not defame our name. Now I can speak to God, my real Psychiatrist, I can be open and real without fear. He heals me, and listens to me without disclosing it to others.  He says, “If there is anything in your heart, just come to Me. Open your heart, I will not tell others.” Even when He sees it directly, He does not mention our name. So, He says it openly, but still, I do not believe He is my Healer; He is my real Doctor; He is my real Surgeon. When my remembrance is at a different level, not with depression, but with intoxication and with faith, my Satguru, my Friend, then I open my heart and speak to Him. There are different relationships. He is my Boss, any work I have to do, is God's task. So, you have to train your knowledge.

When I am meditating, I am using the energy of my mind, so it is a percentage, in other words. When I am in remembrance, it is faith in the intellect. It is not only a wish or a desire, but the intellect is becoming powerful with knowledge. So, I have used knowledge. The more I use knowledge, the more my understanding increases, and there is more clarity in my mind, and I am able to handle situations with the power of knowledge. The relationship at that time is that Baba is the Teacher. You can use different ways to remind yourself and remember: pick up the Murli, read one or two points, and you will find the answer to your question. There is a situation, you listen to knowledge, even a class from the seniors, you will find your answer. So, teachings help to remove your doubt or help you to clarify your decision. So, you remember Baba as your Teacher: Yes, in this Murli, Baba said this, He answered my question. Yesterday, I was thinking of that, and this relationship brings happiness.

So, remembrance means relationship. Remembrance means reminding again, and bringing back what you had forgotten.

Another aspect is yoga. Yoga is using powerful thoughts, and a pure mind; yoga is keeping faith in the intellect, and keeping determination; yoga is having clarity in a clean intellect, and your feelings change. Yoga is still about relationships, but it is the relationship for transformation, and purification of sanskars. That's why Baba says remembrance is not called power. Remembrance is love. And yoga is power, which purifies the soul, which transforms the personality, and gives you the courage to do something new. That is your yoga power. It heals, it helps you, and the Godly qualities begin to come into your life. Transformation takes place and purification takes place through this. That's why you become a Raja Yogi.

Then, when you have remembrance in action, you call it karma yoga. You are remembering Baba, and you are doing the task at that time when you are using yoga, the power of remembrance and also the loveful thought in your mind. Some of us might say, “Don’t remember any bodily being, there is no power if you're remembering a human being. Does Brahma Baba come into your mind when you are remembering Baba?” I said, “Certainly. But I am remembering Shiv Baba. Still, I am taking inspiration from Brahma Baba: how we do everything with humility, how we do everything with great joy, enthusiasm with benevolent consciousness.

So, I am remembering Baba in a different sense, by holding that Brahma Baba’s practical experience. But you are not remembering Brahma Baba. You remember what it is in Brahma.

This song: “The Resident of faraway land has come to this land, and He has ignited my light.” So, it is remembrance. We are connecting with Shiv Baba but through Brahma Baba. So, now, if I want to drink water, my throat is dry. I drink some water. (Didi picked up the glass to drink some water.)  Am I drinking the glass or water? But this (the glass) is an instrument. My focus is on water. If I only bite the glass, what will happen? So, Brahma Baba is like the glass and Shiv Baba is the nectar. You are holding this glass, but you are remembering what is inside the glass.

So, what is in Brahma Baba? God's love is in Brahma Baba. That divine purity is in Brahma Baba. Brahma is the instrument, through him, I experienced the new birth. There are always many questions asked, but Brahma Baba would say, “Don't remember me.” That is Brahma Baba’s reality, to remain detached. The imprint we have cannot be removed, because we have experienced someone. So, you will remember that one automatically, but it is not with attachment, because Baba is not present here physically, and yet, He is present every day with us. The Murlis are always our sustenance. Brahma Baba protected himself, because he saw that when human beings cling to each other, they forget the One they have received from, they forget Baba. And this is why Baba says, “Don't have any attachment with human beings; that will block your intellect, and you will not be able to study.” This is a blockage then, and Brahma Baba neither wanted any blockage nor bondage for the self nor for any other person. So, Brahma Baba says, “Don’t remember me. Don't remember this bodily being. Become a practical example of detachment, yet very loving.

There are many examples of human beings becoming dependent, and then they forget Baba, and becoming sensitive. A weak person cannot help a weak person; a sick person cannot help another sick person. They will only be speaking about the sorrow of each other, sharing the sorrow and suffering of each other. The sorrow increases and becomes double.  Brahma Baba does not want us to suffer again. We block each other, instead of supporting each other. For our protection, Baba’s Murlis are strong, and Brahma Baba puts himself as an example. Although you are getting everything through Brahma, don't remember him. What we remember is what Baba did in different situations, how he was selfless, how he was benevolent, how he loved everyone equally, and how he was supportive with unlimited consciousness. So, what is imprinted is the achievement of benefit; that is remembrance.

So, we do remember Brahma Baba, but not for purification, but for inspiration. He is an example and support for us. Brahma Baba also got power from Shiv Baba; he definitely goes to the Source. The connection with their supreme source is purification. To connect with the Incorporeal is direct power, and direct injection. That's why Baba says, “Remember Me as the Incorporeal Soul.” Then, the love becomes powerful, and attachment is non-existent because He is detached. He is not here in the physical form, he is making you so full: so knowledge-full, so bliss-full and love-full.  Every day, He speaks about you, but He does not suffer from attachment. Every day, Baba says, “My lovely children, sweet children,” but He does not cling to us. He is like the Ocean. You swim in the ocean, you go in the ocean, came out from the ocean. The ocean does not hold on. If we sit in the sunshine, the sunlight is shining on us, touching us, making us warm, but you cannot hug the sun.

It is a very subtle way to receive power from Baba. Yoga is the realisation of different relationships and different achievements. When we are detached; when we are determined to transform ourselves and receive that power, and apply those qualities, transformation takes place. This is called the purification of our old weaknesses, vices, defects, or sins. Wrong actions done with separation is called sins. So, the separation is removed. Relationships become strong. Its purification. Yoga power is fire, burning, and purification in every aspect. Okay. Om shanti.

Sudesh Didi – 30th December 2022 Morning Revision - GCH, London: The Power of a Charitable Soul

31 December 2022

What is the real meaning of a charitable soul? In the golden age, there are charitable souls. To whom do we give charity? Is there anyone suffering, poor or weak? Who does this title apply to? In reality, there is no charity in the Golden Age. This is a title we get here. “Charity begins at home,” when we are able to give charity to our own selves.

Brahmins are becoming angels; angels are becoming deities. We are not becoming deities there. This title we carry from here. From the old class, you get the certificate and then you go into the new class. We do not go and get the title in the new class.

So, whatever we are to achieve, we achieve it here. We will go with that sanskars. So, we say “charity begins at home”, because each one has given charity to the self, and has become a pure soul. Purity is about interacting with each other. There is no question of forgiveness. No one is asked for forgiveness.

What is being poor? Everyone is wealthy. Purity means the power of purity. Purity is charity. We have become poor; Baba is filling us with these powers: cleanliness purity and honesty. First, we need to become clean and honest. That is the desire. Do I really like cleanliness? Why do I like cleanliness?

We wish for others not to see our rubbish here and there. So where should I put it? In the cupboard? Under the carpet? Behind the doors? This is the sanskar in us; we only clean it temporarily. We realise but we do not remove it; we desire but there is no determination; we wish, but willpower is missing. This charity, we need to give to ourselves. In that, we are poor.  The more and more we become powerful and merciful to ourselves, the more we become free from burden and bondage.

Q: Can you please clarify charity? If you give some money for a good cause, what do you call that?

Sudesh Didi: Donation.  Donations are of gross things. If somebody has physical needs, we can give them wealth or we can give clothes to them, or in winter, we can give blankets to them. Charity enables the soul make quenches the ‘thirst’, which is not gross anymore. When you give water to someone to drink, it is an act of charity. When you help a blind person walk, it is a charity. You do not need a reward. Your actions automatically enable you to receive happiness. Donation is gross; I can see, and others can also see the gross things I give.

Q: Continue with this theme of charity based on purity, it is that the more that we souls become pure, it is going to be our vibration, that is the greatest charity. Baba says that from that purity, there is peace and prosperity. We know that purity is the mother of all the other qualities, all the virtues and, purity is the basis of all the powers as well because if you have not withdrawn and pack up, nothing else will really work. So, it seems like the greatest donation is us continuingly cleaning out the heart. So, as feelings are where we get stuck, can you talk more about what is the heart?

Sudesh Didi: Keep the heart clean and pure. First is cleanliness; cleanliness is next to godliness. That is the divine act, Godly act to keep it clean. But we are so accustomed to keeping the rubbish inside, and our own shine, our own self-respect, and our own happiness are covered. We cannot see that it is there, and even if somebody wants to make me see, I do not like it. Somebody tells me it is wrong and I react to what they say because I have hidden what is wrong. I know it is wrong but I am covering it, hoping people will not go where I have hidden my rubbish. So, we try to avoid it when someone is telling us something.

So, cleanliness is a divine act, everyday cleaning, and this is what is taking place. Cleanliness is still taking place, and with honesty, I reveal the rubbish, and automatically Baba can burn it. I do not burn it, with yoga, His power burns it. Ask the self: Do I truly check my chart throughout the day, directly or indirectly? I need to keep my door open all the time.

I must do my checking, not only the eyes, but the ears as well. Then automatically, as well as closing the door of evil, I am removing what is already there at the same time. If I put nectar in a vessel, but if there is already poison inside, I can put for one bucket of nectar or milk, but one drop of poison spoils all of it.  So, the whole effort of one bucket of milk is gone. This explains the importance of checking the heart consistently, to make sure the old sanskars are not there anymore. The heart has cleanliness and purity.

Q: What kind of karmic accounts are left to the very end to be settled by Dharamraj?

Q: What happens to the subtle body? When the soul leaves it and takes another one, where does it go?

Sudesh Didi: Subtle body is the subtle energy level. It is not separate. The purer the soul is, the lighter it is, the more subtle it is. This is the essence of purity. The soul itself is just a dot and then, whatever it is, good or bad, dark or light, both are subtle. If my aura, that is, the energy in me, is light, it is angelic. If it is shadowed, it is dark. Wherever the body goes, the shadow also goes. My sanskars will go with me. My sanksars are actually the final things that will go with me. My actions are based on the sanskars; the sanskars are expressed in actions.

What is the subtle region? What God wants to do, the subtle region is a projection of the actions, what He has planned. There is no subtle body of Shiva. There is the subtle body of Brahma. It is said the actions that are performed through Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar. These are not actions; they are the states of being. Brahma, perfect purity; Shankar, tapasya; Vishnu, the reward.

It was mentioned in today’s Murli. What is Trimurti? The three acts of God. And the three acts of God are actually our three achievements. God does not need to become pure. He does not need to receive knowledge. We are the ones who receive knowledge, and perform elevated actions. We are the ones who purify ourselves as we have yoga. And as we keep the balance of action and yoga, we achieve perfection. We perform actions, but there must be the power of purity, and that is perfect action.

An action without purity is bondage and burden. An action with purity is perfect because it does not tie you in bondage, and it does not create an effect from the impurity of others. What is rubbish? The sanskars of others’ weaknesses create a bondage in me and an effect which creates a disturbance in me.

What do we settle with Dharamraj? It is my own Dharamraj that is punishing me. Angels are not punished. If I become an angel, why should I suffer? It is a subtle way of suffering. In reality, the subtlest is the blockage of the intellect.

What remains in the final moment is my own ego. Having achieved, and still I have ego, that does not allow me to achieve what I have achieved already. Your reward is not there.

This is why we have the practice of being bodiless, soul consciousness, to become viceless, which means to become virtuous, less and less vice. What happens is that as cleaning is taking place, the level of purity gradually increases. The stage of being egoless, that is my angelic stage; perform elevated actions and then disappear; if you try to catch ‘me’, the ‘me’ is not catchable. If you try to catch the shadow, you cannot catch it.

So, at the end, it is the subtlest karmic account that remains. This is why we have yoga of the intellect, have pilgrimage of remembrance with the intellect, have faith in the intellect, and run the race of remembrance. Om shanti.

Q: Please explain the spiritual meaning of having intoxication.

Sudesh Didi: Deep inner happiness which goes in my personality. Drugs and alcohol go into the blood, and create intoxication. When spiritual intoxication is in my ‘blood’, in my consciousness, there is happiness.

“Oh, you are a child of God!”

“Yes, we are children of God. But I do not have that deep faith in me. I do not believe I am a child of God, because I think I am still so weak. I am still so impure. I am karmic account to settle.”

So, I am here, God has adopted me, but still, I have not divorced the old father. So, I cannot have the intoxication of it. This intoxication actually lies deep within, which is becoming my personality. My Parent’s sanskars become my sanskars. It is truth that I am a soul. It is not that someone has to prove it to me, but I know I am a soul. Because I think, I understand, I act. Otherwise, an electronic robot also talks and moves, but it is not a soul, and it does not feel.  So, it is not about the actions which are visible from the outside. It is about the effect which goes inside, and that is intoxication.  Someone asked me, “What is sorrow?” Show me sorrow. It is the effect. In the same way, intoxication is also an effect, a result.

Om shanti.

Om shanti.

Vedanti Didi – 26th December 2022 Evening Class - GCH, London: Spiritual Experiments

31 December 2022

Q:  Can you share your story of how you have brought about a change in nature and attitude?

Vedanti Didi: Om Shanti. We need to bring about transformation in our nature and sanskars. What effort have we made for that? We can say it is an experiment. What it is, when you do something many times, it becomes a habit. And then, we think this is our sanskar, this is our nature, this is our habit. Now, we have to see what homework we have to do on the self. This is very necessary. It is not that we have come to gyan, we have time to do it. When I came into gyan, we learned all about the virtues: knowledge, love,  peace, bliss, power and mercy. We listened and learned a lot about our qualities. Is it just for hearing it, saying it, or is it also for experiencing it? Because when we come in gyan, we listen and we start to share. Then, seeing others and in their company, we start to wear white clothes, and we become Brahma Kumars and Brahma Kumaris. On the outside, we have become a BK, but the old habits that we have within, they have not gone. We just become Brahma Kumars and Brahma Kumaris blindly. We see others and we become that. It is a good life, so we become that. But the sanskars within still stay. So, I check. There are five main vices: anger, lust, greed, attachment and ego. The rest are their children.

So, Baba said in the Murlis, that we should never cry. If your mother dies, if your wife dies, eat halva. This is not easy. This matter is not at all easy. I tell you, to eat halva when the mother dies or when the wife dies, this is not easy, because the soul has bondage, has attachment. So, I practised this. When my mum and dad were alive. I used to experiment every day: My mum was dying; my mum was dying. She was alive. I could see her in front of me. It was not that I was telling her, “You die.” No. If she died and I saw her dead body, how would I feel? Or if my father died, and I saw the dead body, how would I feel? So, I practiced that I should not feel anything. I should not even have tears, nothing. I made a lot of effort on myself. Baba has said, “You have to eat halva when your mum dies or when your wife dies.” So that is how I've developed this stage. So, I had done this practice for a long period of time. It was not that I did not have love for my mum and dad. It was not that if they were not well that I did not go and see them. I really appreciated my mum and dad because they brought me to this earth. But this aspect of virtues and vices, we have to pay attention and we have to practise.

In Madhuban, in Pandav Bhavan, I was listening to Dadi Janki’s class. Dadi was giving a class, then someone came and said to me that Dadi Prakashmani was calling me. So I got up and went to Dadiji.  Dadi said, “Did you hear? Did you hear?” I said, “What about?” She said, “You mother has left the body.” I said okay. And then I went back and sat in the class. After a while , Dadiji asked someone if Vedanta went to Ahmedabad. They said, “No she's sitting in class.” She said, “I said to her that her mum has left.” They said, “I saw her sitting in the class.” So, Dadiji sent someone to say it to Dadi Janki’s ear.

Dadi Janki told me that my mum has died and I should go now. This is the senior’s order. So, the brother who was going to take me was ready. The sister who was going with me was ready. They said,”Shall we go?” I said, “No. We have to go to my room. Take some things. I don't even have a sari there. After I had surrendered, I have not even slept one night in a lokik home. So let me take my clothes.” It was five o'clock in the evening. I went to do yoga in Baba’s room. Then I took leave from everybody. Then it was seven o'clock, and they asked, “Shall we go now?” I said, “No, we have to have dinner. Baba said, "eat halwa if your mum dies.” So I went to the kitchen and asked for a sweet. A young kumari was there. She said there was no sweet halwa. I said, “You must have some sweets in the kitchen. My mum has died.” They were looking at me and then said okay and gave me some sweets. Then, after 7:30 pm, I had dinner and then left for Ahmedabad.

When we reached there, they asked if I wanted to go home. I said no and asked to go to the centre. They asked, “Would you go home?” I said no.  I went to the centre, I slept there, did class in the morning. Then after breakfast, I left for the lokik home. When I reached there, my brother said, “Come and sit down.” I said, “Shall I give a lecture?” He replied, “No, this is our mother. Sarla Didi is coming to give class.” So, my younger lokik brother told me not to speak. But I am Brahma Kumari, I am allowed to speak. So, I started giving a lecture. My mother’s body was there. My auntie was crying, and I said, “Hey, this is my mother, and I am not crying. Why are you crying?” So, I did the funeral and everything, but without a single drop of tear. And she had loved me so much as my mother. I loved her so much. She was the one who inspired me to become Brahma Kumari.

It is very important to do practice. Same thing happened when I was in Madagascar, in the morning, on Rakshabandhan day, my lokik father died. They said “Your father has died in Ahmedabad, and I said okay. They asked if I was going to Ahmedabad, and I said, “Why? My sisters and brothers are there.” We were eight brothers and sisters. They did not need me. It was Rakshanbandhan day, and we had arranged 14 programmes, travelling to various places, so I decided to stay and do all the programmes. At night, one brother asked me, “Do you have a heart or not?” I said, “Why did you say that?” He said,” We have not see the slightest sadness in your attitude. You act like it is just another normal day. So, we want to know if you have any feeling for your father.” I said, “My father loves me the most, out of all the children. But he does not want to see me as a weak Brahma Kumari. He wants to see me as a bright BK. I should set my father free before the final ceremony.” To answer the question of the change of nature and attitude, I have done effort on myself, for each virtue and each vice.

From now to January, the whole month, I am Shanti Devi (the goddess of peace). This is a temple and Shanti Devi is incarnated in me. In the afternoon, someone created a situation which made me angry. This is a test paper. So now, I am Shanti Devi. I am a deity of peace. On the first day, five to six times, the situations came. As Brahma Kumari, my attitude is different. So, there needs to be a whole month of practice. Then I am a Devi of love; I am a Devi of happiness. The whole month, I will practise a virtue, and then another month, another virtue. In that way, there is consistent practice throughout the whole year.

By December last year, I checked myself: Now, out of the whole world, how many in my consciousness do not have a good relation with me in different ways? I corrected somebody and they do not like me, or my relation stops talking, or someone competes with me, and I found that there were 27 on my list - 27 people on my list from all over the world who do not have good relations with me. The whole of last December, I had made effort. Then, in January I want to see the result, that I have changed and they have changed, And what I did I find in January in different ways, they all started to communicate with me as if nothing had happened . So, we need to make effort in various ways to become devi and devta in this Confluence Age.

Recently, my effort is to be King of kings, Vishwa Maharaja. I am an emperor of my own nature and my own attitude. I do not want to become a queen, even though I am a lady. I have decided that next round I want to be a man. I want to become king. Another word would be Mahadani (great donor), and I would like to be the son of the first Narayan. It means now I have to follow Brahma Baba directly. Only now do I have to do that practice. So, what do I have to do? If someone asks me a question, then I will try to remember when this question came to Brahma Baba, and how he replied. I wait for a while before I reply.

Three to four years ago, the lokik siblings of one of our sisters said, “Since you have become a Brahma Kumari, you never look after your mother. Now it is your turn.” She said, “No problem. Ask Vedanti bhen. I have surrendered.” So, I asked Baba. The lokik mother had fallen and had had an operation. Both her lokik brother and her sister-in-law had no time. In the end, I said to pack her bag to go home to take care of her mother. She went home, and at the time of Covid, she looked after nicely. And then she brought her to the centre. Then, she went to the centre in Zimbabwe and took her mother with her. Then she said she had to go to Lusaka for service. I said, “Wherever you go, take your mother with you. If you go and she dies, it will be in my name. So, take her wherever you travel.”

So, she travelled to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Kenya and India, the whole time, she and her mother were together. She looked after her and gave her a return for the care her mother had given her. Brahma Baba did the same way. Now her lokik mother is running the Harare centre alone. So, we need to understand that we cannot leave our relatives aside. We have to support them; we have to look after them. There are blessings within that. We cannot ignore them.

Each one’s circumstance is different. We have to see the situation of each one. My lokik family does not need me because there are so many around. And many of the older members have already gone. But when there is a need, we should look after them. We have to understand this very well. We are doing service of the world. So, why do we ignore our own family?

My father and mother had eight children, then grandchildren and great-grandchildren During Covid, I asked them to make a family tree. We are four Brahma Kumaris from the same lokik family. And the brothers are married. We created a family tree with photos. Then I give it sakaash. My role is to uplift them.  So, create a chance to serve.

During my time in the UK, I have visited 75 families. Whatever we have received from Baba, we give them.  The first time I was in Malawi, I stayed at somebody's house for one year. Now they are in the UK, and today I went to visit them, they had tears in their eyes. The husband and wife, the two daughters and the son. The children are now married, but they said, “Our bhen has come.” Through this family, so many received this knowledge. So, the real dharna is to reconnect each soul.

From the day I landed in the UK, up to now, from morning to night, continuously, I went from one place to another. Service is service for humanity. At night, Baba will give us very deep sleep. To take care of the physical costume is also dharna. I have done prayog, experiments, on my physical body, from up to down. I give sakaash to my heart, sakaash to my ears, sakaash to my head, to my skull, to my brain; each and every organ needs love from you. That is also an experiment.  People say, when they are sick, their stage is not good. Of course, your stage is not good. But, we can learn from Brahma Baba, from what he did as our example.

Nowadays, we turn on our laptops and mobiles, and take in information which blocks our intellect. The information spoils our capacity and takes up our time. Baba teaches us to keep everything simple. Simple living, high thinking.  You see that I have a little bag in that corner? This cloth bag? The whole Nairobi centre is in my hand. It has my mobile phone, my medicine, my spectacles, and all essentials. I do not leave things here and there. I have everything I need in this little bag.

One time, in Gyan Sarovar, someone asked me, “Are you running the whole Africa with this small bag?” I replied, “Do you mean the bag is running, I am running or Baba is running?” What else do you need? How many things do you forget, and misplace here and there? Ask yourself, and make people run after your things.

The sisters here are all smiling because somewhere you leave your bag, somewhere you leave other belonging. And you say to others, “Ring my mobile, so I know where it is.”

This is all an experiment for our perfect stage. For our perfect stage, we need to be peaceful; no hurry, no worry.  Enjoy this Confluence with me and my Baba. When people say to me that there is a big problem, I say to them, “No problem. My Baba will do. My Baba will solve the problem. My Baba will come.” Do not make yourself ‘crazy’. These three words: Busy, crazy and lazy. Enjoy the Confluence Age. I do not need to run after the VIPs, because they come to me. Baba gave sakaash, and they come. You know, I am going everywhere to see them because they all have done so much in Africa. And they all have come here. It is my duty to give them a return of what they have done in Africa, a return before the Confluence Age finishes.

Q:   The other day, you mentioned you had a bit of cough and could not offer bhog to Baba because there are certain laws of sookshma vatan (the subtle region). So, can you explain something about what laws you mean? And also, can you explain a little bit more about sookshma vatan because you go to Baba for amrit vela and bhog. So, what is it like?

Vedanti Didi: This is the time for us all to go to the subtle region and to do more experiments. Each and everybody has a subtle body there. You will remember that when Brahma Baba was in sakar form in the beginning, the trance messenger saw an old man in the subtle region. It was the perfect body of Brahma Baba. We all have that perfect body there. Everyone has to use it. We need to practise and experiment using it. Half an hour in between your day, walk like an angel. If someone speaks loudly, you speak softly. I had an experiment in Colaba, Bombay. There were 33 of us together helping in a big fare. I was practising maun (silence) for one month. Every night, at the meeting, Dadi would try to make me talk, but I kept silence. I was helping at the store. So, others could come and ask me for ten saris, ten pins or ten bedsheets, I would listen to them and give them. But, instead of coming into sound of speech, I would write to them on paper.  I was moving around with a diary and a pen. For the whole month, I kept to my practice, and the result was the best. The result was the brother from Zambia inviting me to serve in Africa. His areas was not only Lusaka; he was London, Lusaka, Sydney and Guyana. He started a branch in each of the four corners. So, this is how I experiment.

The subtle region is really beautiful, beautiful. You can start the practice from here, try to sit for five minutes, go with your consciousness, then ten minutes, then fifteen minutes. Then, time will come that you will feel that subtle region is near you.

The subtle region is very bright in the sky, an open space. Brahma Baba has opened a subtle office there. Both Baba can emerge anything they want there. What seems a surprise for us, like Covid, it is no surprise for Baba. They know before time. On the first day of Covid lockdown in Kenya, we asked Baba what we needed to do, and Baba said to do bhatti. We did bhatti for fourteen days at first. Then Baba said tens days, then nine days, then twenty days. Baba took us through 222 days of bhatti.

When Rakshabandhan came, we stopped bhatti, and Baba said we should start Godly Power Bank. We asked Baba what Godly Power Bank mean, Baba said He would guide us. Then we started and we had run that for one and half year. We had over a thousand members from around the world. Every day we experimented. We had fourteen tables in our hall, and people were coming in to see what type of bank this was.

One soul, who is the owner of a bank, came to see and experienced a wonderful vibration. He said he wanted to put something in our bank. I said, “Please feel free to come every day.” He said, “No, no, no, no, I can't come every day, I want to put money in your bank.” I said, “But this is not bank of money. This is a bank of powers.” As our account is in his bank, he transferred some lakhs in our account because he wanted to help us.

So, Baba kept us busy. Many people say that we have a shortage of things, or a shortage of students or a shortage of income in the bandhari (donation box) or people going through difficulties in their business. But we never felt that; we were so busy. People kept coming because we created different types of yoga experiments.

At the time of Covid, we sisters visited 120 houses to give them courage. So, this is called to experiment. All these are experiments. And now, we are creating a new project which can reach faster to every human being in Africa. We will start from Africa first, and the project is called African Voices for Hope and Peace. Twenty brothers have taken on this project and I am the advisor. We are in the process of preparing music, songs and commentaries. We will reach many through the media. We will also give talks on the media. We will tell them that they do not need to pay for anything, but it is their duty because this is God’s work. Instead of spending a big amount of money, we want to put in a lot of vibration, and tell them that this is their work to do, and we are helping them. It is the other way around.

To go to the subtle region, I need to maintain my innocence. This is the law. If I gossip, and if I keep bad thoughts and feelings for you, then I am not the right person for trance. At the moment, my throat is unwell, if I go into trance, halfway through, I might have to come back. To go up and then the cough brings me down, that is not respect for Baba. These are the things which the trance messengers know. It is like a singer who looks after their throat very well, and can only sing when their throat is in good condition, in the same way, trance messengers have some rules.

My one request for you all is that nobody should see on your face that you are tired, that you are in a hurry.

Check yourselves; do not check others. Do everything, but do not lose your peace, do not miss your Murli, your amrit vela and your class. Our Baba has created this, we have to do it.

In Nairobi, we have a system: at 4:30am, every day, we play the recording of the day’s Murli in the kitchen. Why? The person in the kitchen listens. Also, the vegetables and the grains will also listen to the Murli. They need to get vibrations. Even while I am in the UK, they continue with the system in Nairobi.

Q:  This is the last phase of the Confluence Age. As we get closer to the end, how should our

     purusharath (effort) change?

Vedanti Didi:  You never ask what purusharath we need to do; that is a wrong statement. This is because the word effort is not good. How long are you going to do effort until you become natural?

Now, the present time, is telling you to become a natural yogi. Remove from your consciousness that you are doing effort. Effort will make you tired and feel bored. If someone says, “Make effort.” I feel so bored. If someone says, “Just remain happy.” I am so happy. This gives me more power in remembrance. No pressure on anything. No labour of anything. Love and love and love: Love for work; love for responsibility; love for duty. Do everything with love, not with pressure. If you have something to do today, but it does not happen. It is okay. It is not mine; it is Baba’s. If at night, two o'clock in the morning, you remember something, then get up and write it down on a piece of paper and go back to sleep. Your paper will work. By morning time, I will see that paper and I will get it done.

I have seen many Brahmins who rush and rush and rush. What practice is this? One day, I saw a sister running here and there; I asked her what happened. She said, “It's quarter to six, and the students still have not turned up. We have to start the course at six o’clock and it is my responsibility. I asked her to go and sit in Baba’s Room for ten minutes, and come back at five minutes to six. She said, “But what about the audience?” I said, “Okay, what lecture are you giving?” She said, “Stress-free living.” After she sat in Baba’s Room for ten minutes, I asked her to go and have a look in the hall. There were 25 people for the course. Even our own vibrations are reaching people. So, why are we worried? If one person comes, we will give the lecture to one person. So what? Why get stressed for anything? If the microphone does not work, you speak loudly. If the light does not work, you put candles. Why worry about things? Find the solution, and enjoy. In a hurry, we make mistakes.

Q:   Do you have more examples of how to use the subtle body?

Sudesh Didi:  Have you seen rich people? One house they keep in the city, and another house they keep by the ocean. At the weekend, when they have time, they stay by the ocean for two to three days. They relax and they come back. They swim in the ocean and relax. For us, the subtle region is the place to relax wherever you are sitting. Become lost in love wherever you are sitting. If you are in the kitchen and have ten minutes, just sit in the kitchen. Don't rush and say, “Oh I must go to Baba’s Room.” Bring Baba in your kitchen. Why rush and run to Baba’s Room? Bring Baba wherever you are. So, this is the trick to use.

Wherever you are, bring the subtle region near to you. You bring your subtle form. I was in China. So, the sisters came to drop me at the airport. As I do not know the language, and I was in a wheelchair, they were pushing my wheelchair. Then, the sister said, “Do you know what they are saying about you in our language?” They said this angel is going.” As I was not Vedanti-conscious, and I was not conscious that I was in a wheelchair, and I was in the consciousness of the angelic stage, they caught the vibration.

This time coming here, whilst at Nairobi Airport. In the evening at ten o'clock, there were so many people, like a market. After Covid, everyone wants to travel for Christmas. One brother who was travelling with me was worried about getting me on the flight. So, I came out of the wheelchair, and went to the counter myself. I told them that I was in a wheelchair, and from a business class with the gold card. If the business class is also not being served, with this long queue, what will happen to others?  Then, another wheelchair came to me, “Oh, Sister, you are here. Come in my wheelchair. An angel has come.” Then, she shifted me, and I was the first person taken to the boarding gate, and the brother followed me. Within ten minutes, she had taken me in. This is the result of using the subtle stage.

I was in Malawi and the plane got delayed for three hours, and I was the economy-class passenger. I was just sitting somewhere, and mosquitoes coming and biting. But I was sitting and enjoying my reading. Everyone was arguing and shouting at the counter about the flight being delayed, about missing the next flight.   The atmosphere was rather noisy and intense. I needed my mobile phone charged, so I spoke to a brother who worked at the airport. I said, “My mobile is getting discharged. Can you go to the VIP lounge and put my mobile to charge, please? Then, you can bring it back.”  The brother took me phone to charge, and told his manager that there was a very peaceful lady sitting in the corner, and asked if the lady could be brought to the lounge.  He said to me, “Sister, not just your mobile, you also come to the lounge.”  They took me into the VIP lounge, which was a large peaceful place. This was the result of using my angelic stage. This is the practice we need. Wherever you are, continue to experiment and practise. Now, come and take your toli in your angelic stage. Om shanti.

Vedanti Didi – 26th December 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London: Maya, Attachment and Relations

27 December 2022

Om Shanti. Good morning. What a wonderful time! Sunday, today and tomorrow are holidays. Wonderful! We are wonderful, Baba is wonderful, drama is wonderful, and today's Murli is also wonderful. I know that after Murli you do revision, so I will not take all the points. I will take one point, which is the essence of the Murli. In the evening class, we will take another subject.

Maya, attachment and relations; relation is connected with attachment with Maya. How many years have we taken Baba’s knowledge? Christmas time to new year is a wonderful time to reflect on our own self. Otherwise, we will delay, and we will be late. We will take this point very seriously. Why Maya, why attachment, after so many years of being in knowledge, after taking this much from Baba?

In the system of loans, when you take a loan from the bank for any project, you do not just hold the money. In a few months, we have to return more than we have been given. We have to return the sum with interest. In any project, we see how much we have taken and how much we have to give back. A good business person never takes a loan. To take a loan indicates that this is not a good business person.

So, how much have we taken from Baba? How much have we taken from Him? These five vices are the fee. How can we take back which we have been given as a fee because we have taken the teaching? So, this is a time to churn: "My sweet Baba, my Beloved Baba, my lovely Baba. How much have I taken from You? Sorry, Baba. After taking from you, if I have made any mistakes, forgive me, Baba. Thank You, Baba. You know the defect of the soul, but still, You have accepted me. In this loving conversation, a few tears are allowed. Thank you, Baba. If I see any dirty person, I stay far away from them. If I see that this soul has some negativity, I stay far away from them. But, You, Baba, despite seeing so many negativities within the soul, You accept me. Thank You, Baba. My beloved Baba, thank You. Lastly, My Beloved Baba, I love You. I love You. I love You so much, my Baba. Now, no more Maya. No more Maya. Now, we do not know what Maya is. What is Maya? What is the influence in relation? What is influence? We do not know because we are under the umbrella of the Almighty, so, what is the influence of the world?"

Churn within the self with honesty. I have seen one thing in our Brahmin family. In most of the centres, most of the groups, the ones who plan and organise the bhatti do not do the bhatti. So, I remind myself: Vedanti, if you plan for others to do, you also need to do it. Otherwise, do not plan and organise just for others to do. If I am to arrange a bhatti for eight hours, I make sure I will also be there. This is something I have learned from Baba and the Dadis, if you arrange something for sustenance, you also need to practise it.

The yagya now has a modern fashion. Arrange a nice programme, but they do not take part. Give a bhatti, let the others do it. You are here but you do not take part in the bhatti yourselves. The ones who plan and design the bhatti should be the first ones to do the bhatti. So, are we not cheating ourselves? We are deceiving ourselves.

I have researched so much into the behaviour of the Brahmin family. We have to be serious about it. We have duties and responsibilities; we do this and that, and we run fast. There is so much of that here. Then, we say, “I am so busy.” And then, this word goes to Baba, that I am busy.

What is 'busy'? Baba never came to teach us busy Raja Yoga! He came to teach us easy Raja Yoga. You can ask me. I have done this practice of looking after all my responsibilities. I have never said I am busy. Yesterday, I had a wonderful experience. Someone I don't know rang me asking me for help. As I am travelling, I asked her to ring me when I am back in Nairobi. But she insisted that she had to speak to me and wanted to see me. As I was in the car at the time, I gave time. Then, I realised there were more calls. So, after Amrit Vela, I rang her and said, “My dear sister, now I can make time, and we can talk for an hour. Tell me your problem and we will find a solution.” Because I did not say I was busy, she was so happy. She had rung three times, and I missed her calls. Then she tried to ring Sudesh Didi also, but they did not catch each other.  So, we said today we could help her.

You see, we have to be serious for the self, then for others. From today 26th till 31st, we will work on the self. Listen and read with attention what Baba is saying today, and work on the homework on that Murli. Baba is reminding us that He gives, and then the children are attached to each other, and then, they forget Baba. How can this be possible? Me and Baba, the rest of the world, because Baba’s world is my world. I love the world. I love humanity. I love the five elements, but first I start with loving myself.

If I love myself, why would I love Maya? Why would I let it influence me? Why would I allow attachment? How would I allow myself to say busy?  My Baba came to teach me easy Raj Yoga, I can't say I am doing busy Raja Yoga. Relax, be happy, be friendly, and be wonderful because they are sweet words. I feel for Shiv Baba and feel mercy because people cannot see Shiv Baba. I say to Shiv Baba, “People want a vision of You and You are hiding. In the entire cycle of drama, you do not come in front of people as we do. We are luckier than you, Baba. Still, Baba, You are the greatest”. We human being do something and we wait for praise. We wish for a little praise, directly or indirectly, because it has been nature through the whole cycle. But Baba never waits for appreciation.

“So, Baba, we are ready to help You. Baba, we are ready to do for You. You give us sakaash and we give your vision to humanity. We are ready, Baba. Not only is Brahma Baba your instrument, but we are also your instruments. Brahma Baba helps in a different way, and I help in a different way. But Baba, I am obedient; I can give your vision.”

I can feel Baba is so happy. Just now when I was doing yog for half an hour, the pulling of love, that Baba was pulling me into trance and I held it. I did not know where to go, but the love…Baba’s love, because I was standing near Baba’s Room, “Baba, come, let's go and give a nice class.” I did not know and I could not decide on the subject or the point. “Baba, You speak.” And when I came here, the love, the pulling of love, I am telling you, I told myself, Vedanti, don’t go into trance because now it is time for meditation, for giving sakaash. Such love, I felt in that half an hour. This is our inner consciousness, it is our feeling. Forget all your duties and responsibilities; do it, but do not keep them here. Finish it.

Today, after Amrit vela, and even before, I started working and working, so it will not come to disturb me all day. I was putting ideas on paper. The time will come when we are not allowed to sleep in bed; walking and sleeping, talking and sleeping, listening and sleeping, speaking and sleeping, sleeping and awakening together. One day, I heard that a friend of our excellency, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, and he had a conversation. I just heard that someone asked Narendra Modi why he wanted to reduce his sleep because he was sleeping only three hours, “You will be weak, you will be sick, your body needs sleep.” Modi replied, “I want to zero sleep. I remember Indira Gandhi used to say human being only needs four hours’ sleep, not more, if we work on our relaxed stage. We can churn on that. This type of thing from worldly people, I churn. So, He said, “The reason why you want to reduce is that, whenever I am awake, the time from morning to evening, appointments and appointments and appointments, going here and there, making the mother happy, and making the youth happy, going to the Parliament and going everywhere. So, when will I have time for my India, to free my India from poverty?”  It made me cry. It is India, Bharat, desh (the country). What do I do to remove Bharat from the poverty of virtues? What is missing in humanity? The qualities which each soul has, because being busy, there is no time to reflect and check what is within.

In my experience of these sixteen days, I have visited centres, Gita pathshala, the retreat centre, people's homes, and nearly 75 places. In the evening, my chart, most of the places, what I saw was that when we reached each place, they knew that the sister is coming to give us drishti, blessings, tolis, and then a little chitchat. But you would not say, “Bhen, what are you going to read?  What have you bring?” I tell you, if I go to ten places in a day, I tell you bananas, and you bring banana, and then oranges, and this and that. But I said I had come to give drishti. Then, they said, okay, sit down. I told them to pause for peace. Then I gave nice points and I gave a commentary. So, within 15 minutes, they forgot to ask me anything, because I had not gone to take anything. I had gone to give what I got from the Almighty.

So, we have to change human psychology, that this is not a social meeting. Baba has said that each step you take is  Hindi it's kadam me padam (multimillion at every step). So, I had come because Baba told us to go and put our footsteps. In our system, when someone comes here, we are so happy. Seven-day course, or three-day course, “Okay, sit down. You are a soul. You have this and this. For one hour, we bombard them with words. We do not check the capacity of that soul. Do you think that everything has gone into their intellect? We learned in the beginning, that as we teach, we tell them to open their diary and write: You are a soul. The soul is a combination of mind, intellect, and impression. Write, write, write on the page, so that if by chance, they forget, they can still revise. Dadis who taught us would never bombard us with teaching. So, we need to change the system.  The love, that concern for them; if you ask them: How is your family? How is your job? What's your name? Is your home far or near? They will feel that we have so much concern for them, and then, slowly, whatever you talk to them about, it will go in. We need to change the system now.

We have one young man, the mother is surrendered in Kenya with us in Nairobi so she said, “Meet my child.” So, I rang him ten times, he said, “No, no, no,  I cannot meet you. I am busy. I have this meeting, I have that meeting.” I said, okay. I rang, and then the next day, I rang. Then I said, “I will come wherever you are. We will stand together and take a photo, so I can prove to your mum that we have met.” So, he came for five minutes only. So, I said, “Come quick. I will give you a blessing, toli, we will take a photograph and you go.” He replied, “No, no, no, no, I will stay with you.” He stayed for three hours. Afterwards, I received a message from him: “After I met you, my three problems were solved. I would like to keep a connection with you.” You see, this is a course. This is the time now that we need to change the system of speaking, seeing, thinking and listening. Then, whatever you will tell, the others are ready to listen.

I will tell you one story about Brahma Baba. You know Narayan Dada. This is an old story. Narayan Dada was in Singapore,  Hong Kong. Then Rosy bhen and her mother were in knowledge. He used to smoke and drank alcohol. And he came to Madhuban with a lot of negativity, to see who gave knowledge to his wife. So, he came to see Baba. He was smoking even near the door, but Baba said, “Bring him to me.”  Then, Baba said to him, “My child, you have come. You have come. Have a seat.” Baba asked him, “My child, what is your name?” He answered Narayan. And Baba said his name was not Narayan, but Ravan.” He said, “No.” Baba said, “Narayan means good qualities. If you want to keep your name, you have to change.”  He asked Baba what he had to do, and Baba said, “You have to do the seven-day course.” Brahma Baba gave him the course in Madhuban. After the course, he went back to close his business in Singapore and Hong Kong. He said, “I want to the wife and the daughter who are still in Bangalore, at home, to surrender.”  He said, “I will surrender.”  Baba gave him the museum in Pandav Bhawan. He was the first person who looked after the museum. This is an example of Brahma Baba saying the right thing with a loveful style, then people were ready to surrender. When will we become like that? “Oh, no, we can't tell anything, otherwise, they will cry, they get upset. No, we can't do that, Baba.”

So, who will correct humanity?  If someone wants me for one hour, within 15 minutes, I satisfy them.  In one hour, I can satisfy four families. We need to connect with constant love. Om shanti

Sudesh Didi – 25th December 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London: Shining Stars of the Kalpa Tree

26 December 2022

Om Shanti. Om Shanti. Good morning. Merry Christmas, Happy New World. Happy New Year but Happy New World; the Seed of the human world tree relates the story of the evergreen tree, the Christmas tree, the eternal tree, or the human world tree.

As He is the Living Seed, He has all the history and geography of all the souls, and also the history and geography of this physical human world, the corporeal world.

Today is the special day of a wonderful story of the relationship between Christ and Krishna. It is such a wonderful account of giving and taking. Today, we celebrate, we greet each other, and we share the happiness of Christmas with each other. Holy night, silent night, beautiful light, and bright light. It is the story of lights, the tree of lights. The eternal tree is the tree of lights, the tree in the soul world, where the Supreme Light, ever-bright shining Star, stays with His beautiful sparkling lights of love, peace, purity, happiness, and bliss. That is the truth of the Light.

These lights come on this planet to play their parts. It is a story of Jesus and Christ; two wonderful souls, playing the role on this planet. Baba has said, and it is also remembered in Christianity, that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. They call Christ, God the Father, they do not call Father Jesus. Have you ever heard of Father Jesus? Is Jesus God the Father, or Christ the God?

Who is the Father of Christianity? Was it Jesus or Christ who established Christianity? It is a wonderful relationship between these two souls. Just like the wonderful relationship between the one who establishes the Brahmin religion and the deity religion, the Supreme Soul, and Adam, or Adi Dev, or Brahma. The Christ soul was incarnated in the body of Jesus. The Christ soul adopted the body of Jesus and played miracles. It was the time of the dark night when the power of law was needed. So, the shining light appeared and taught the message of love, mercy, healing power, support, loving your neighbour, loving yourself, and tolerance power. Before that it was violence; both together brought silence. In this Kalpa tree in the night, the shining star started to emerge. Abraham came and brought discipline, with Moses's commandments: If you do not follow this, there will be consequences of suffering. This was a discipline with force.

Then in this Kalpa tree, another light emerged, and that was Buddha. He was asked once to speak about God, but he kept silent. The second time he was asked, again, he kept silent. The third time he was asked, the answer was silence. The follower asked Buddha why he did not reply to the question, he said, “I have replied. Silence is the answer.” It is the power of silence. We recognise the inner beauty, inner purity, and inner power, Silent Night, in the darkness where silence is not only needed in the external atmosphere but silence is needed inside so that we can experience the real power of the inner being of peace. In silence, you explore your purity because you look at your own self. You turn within yourself and see the real beauty, real purity, and real power of the soul, which is the reality of spirituality. It is this spiritual power that empowers this world from time to time, otherwise, this world would have degraded at a fast pace. Baba says that these are the pillars.

Then, what about the family? What about humanity? Of course, with silence, one can focus on turning within and returning home in Moksha (eternal liberation). But we are living here on this planet. And so Jesus brought up the power of love. Without love for the self, one cannot share love with others, because one becomes dependent on experiencing love from others. And as soon as you recognise and love your own eternity, beauty, and purity, it is magnetic energy, and the love of God is automatically connected. You can see that the religion is established with these two powers.

Just as our deity religion is established with the power of purity, and is revealed through the example of Brahma and the Brahmins, in the same way, Jesus would have travelled through time, and I have the feeling that he would have come sometime in silver age to experience the happiness of heaven, as well as divinity and purity. This is why there was the expression of heavenly God the Father and paradise inside, that is, to create heaven in the heart. So, these things are mentioned. Those who also come from the subtle region, have the power to do some wonders. It was the wonder of their healing power; their royalty, their spirituality, and their greatness of generosity and gratitude.

Shiv Baba takes the body of Brahma. And Jesus was the instrument for Christ. So, it is a wonderful relationship of giving and taking. Christ was not put on the cross; it was Jesus. This is why he said, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” It was the Holy Ghost or the living energy of Christ who was in Jesus, but it was Jesus who was crucified. He remembered that light. And in the name of Christ, Jesus suffered. But throughout the whole 2023 years or more, it is Jesus who is worshipped. In a similar way, the generosity of God is unlimited. Shiv Baba remains incognito, and Brahma had to go through all the defamation, allegations, and criticism. It was the sacrifice of Brahma; his name, fame, and his family, he surrendered himself. The generosity of God is that even the praise for God became a gift to Krishna. The devotees say Krishna is everywhere, Krishna is God. Similarly, Christ says, “Through Jesus, you can come to me.”

Every day, Brahma Baba says, glorify Shiv Baba; Krishna is not God. And God says, I am establishing the kingdom of Krishna. So, it is a generous relationship of these two powers. Brahma Baba is desperate to glorify the name of Shiv Baba and remove the name of Krishna from the Gita. And this is what is called real generosity, purity of gratitude, and of true love. You give up your name, your fame, you surrender everything. Love means to surrender, and to let go of your own self and put others in front.

This is why I say it is a very nice day of the power of love. You know the story now. All of us are living stars, shining stars, and angels of the Kalpa tree. Look at the tree, the holiest and highest souls, the shining souls are here. So, congratulations to all of you living stars. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.

I was thinking of Merry Kismat (fortune). Merry Kismat. Merry Baba ke ShrimatWah, Shrimat. Merry Kismat. How wonderful is our fortune, that we are the shining stars; we are the sparkling stars, shining on the Kalpa tree, and we are the angels who are flying, free from bondage, free from burden, just to glorify the One Shining Star, for whom the three wise men went to see, falling the star, and looked for the Jesus.

Here, Baba says, “Come to me, and become shining stars.” Be wise and recognise the Supreme Star, and you will become angels. Om Shanti.

Have you ever heard anyone say ‘God Sri Narayan?’

I have heard in Hindi ‘Bhagvan Sri Krishna’ Yes.   Dad would say that Lakshmi and Narayan and Vishnu are not defamed in the scriptures.  There is defamation of Krishna and his Gopis, and of Rama with his wife abducted.  So Lakshmi and Narayan and Vishnu have been put on a higher level than the galaxy of devtas.

Does the soul forget everything when it leaves the body?  Baba was talking about ‘the jail of the womb’ and the suffering…yet what is this if we don’t have the memory of the past in the womb?  Or are we suffering due to the vibration of the Mother?

Back in the days of Tennyson Road,   one mother had an infant of 2 years old, who would change mood, one moment smiling, one moment frowning and crying..and the mother asked Dadi ‘what is going on’?  Dadi said there are still traces of the memory of the last birth but that will be erased with all the new experiences happening now.  For everyone leaving the body it is a traumatic experience,  even when we say ‘the soul left peacefully’.

The soul goes through the trauma of leaving its home it has known for short or long time, and in that it forgets what previously happened.  In the womb there is repentance, and the feeling of ‘get me out of here’.  I have heard that in India Mothers are encouraged to listen to Satsang so something good reaches the child.  The unborn child experiences what the mother is experiencing whilst carrying the child.  Once there is birth there is lots of new information to take in and so previous experience gets buried.  We are all aware that aches and pains and problems with the body are often connected to trauma and suffering from childbirth and infancy.  So on a conscious level we forget and yet on an unconscious level the body is still holding it in some way.

When Baba said when we order the power of tolerance, see how the power to accommodate comes instead…can you explain this as I thought these are very close?

Yes they are very close.  If I remember the images.  The image of the power to accommodate is the river flowing into the ocean.  We need to tolerate yes in certain situations , but in many situations we do need to merge and to stop remembering it any more.  For example, if a woman has to tolerate violence,  it is not enough for her just  to merge it within herself, and say ‘it is going to be ok’.  At some point, yes I have tolerated this much, but at some point there is a need to speak and take a stand about it.  In India I have seen women in their 70’s and 80’s who would never have thought about divorce, and they suppressed so much that it would lead to depression.  One individual I remember in her 90’s was very angry all the time.  Even with people she knew loved her and to a certain point she loved them.  But she was lashing out with her words and more.  So yes we can say we will carry on, but there comes a point when a decision is needed.  Is attachment stronger, or recognition of truth, and what will I do.

Baba says ‘ I have come to uplift Mothers’.  Generally, I don’t think even those of India origin now understand what it was like to be completely suppressed with no voice at all!

When Baba talks about water.  Baba is all knowing. The glaciers today have melted and it is  unlikely, almost impossible for new ones to be formed, and the water is running out.  Just think of the Himalayas who have multimillion people dependant on fresh water each spring.  Can you imagine the havoc that would create.  I was at a Water Conference some years ago in Madrid and it was said that the next war would would come from lack of fresh water.  Although at the moment we see a war over ego.

What is the difference of rejection that is rooted in lust and the rejection that is rooted in anger?

Lust and anger are very deeply connected and rejection in lust leads to anger, that is a reality.  In the Gita, both are described as the greatest enemy, lust and anger are the big ones.  If we think about desire, and we think about lust.  In English there is the phrase ‘lust for power’….and we don’t get our way then there is anger.  The roots are very entangled and support each other.  Where anger turns to violence and because of this there is fear, then lust continues.  So these are all connected together.

What were some of the nice things Baba was saying?

It is amazing that the power to change is not included in the eight powers.  Is it to be considered a cultural habit, and what is the relationship with belief that all is predestined in the cycle of time?

This is an interesting comment, because when I was talking earlier regarding the power to tolerate with Mothers, in India there is the absolute belief that whatever is happening is meant to be happening due to karma.  There isn’t the concept that it will happen in 5000 years again, that would possibly create more sorrow.  Certainly ‘This is my karma and this is what I have to live through’.  At that moment they do not know about God’s remembrance to clear the karma of the past or God’s power to give us the understanding as to what to do today to change our karmic accounts.  That is not known, just it is my karma and so ‘ I have to tolerate this, and what can I do about it’ is connected.

The power to change Avyakt Bapdada often takes up and it is bigger than just one specific power.  The power to change is connected to the power of realisation and He would very often speak  about that. The power to change, to transform and to realise are the big all encompassing powers and all the 8 powers are the little ones within that.  Baba helps us understand the detail.  For example say I am impatient…how will I change and move from here to there.  Maybe it is my lack of tolerance or discernment about what is going on.  If I can check within myself what it is I can work on these little things and take those first steps towards more realisation and transformation.  It is not so much a cultural aspect. These are the little details in the bigger picture.

Let us have yoga and take the power of realisation from Baba.

Om Shanti

Vedanti Didi – 18th December 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London: The Innocent Lord

21 December 2022

Om Shanti. Om Shanti. Good Morning. Today we all will have a chance to Baba’s version. And the main main main aspect of the Murli is Shivratri, Shiv Jayanti, or whatever word we use with happiness. So, we will listen to that. But I like to share about Shiv Baba because we all love Him so much.

People remember Shiva but they don't know everything exactly about Shiv Baba. We say Shiv Baba, and they say Shiva, God. We say Baba. In Gujarati, our mother is ba and our father we say baba, with real love from the heart.  When we say ba, it is with 100% love for the children, baba is one-fourth of the love the father give to the children, whereas the love from the mother is 100%.  And here, how much? Double! Baba is so lovely. The whole year round, people go to Shiva temple, but especially on the Shiv Ratri, everyone goes to Shiva temple. As gyani now, we don't go there, but you can go sometimes as an observer, to see what they doing and you will enjoy. They put water on the Shiva Lingam, they also put milk and leaves. I also have to do the arti when I go to give a lecture in the temple.  I have to do all what they do because I'm a VIP, I have to do what they ask me to do.

So, it's wonderful Baba and wonderful history. (Didi coughed) I never get a cold or sore throat but because I talk so much about Brahma Baba, so the coughing has come for a while to give me an experience. When it coughed the whole night, I was remembering Baba, “You want to stay with me, stay, no problem.”

If you go one day especially to Shiva temple, do not just stand there, otherwise, they think Brahma Kumaris don't do anything. You also do what they do, and it is a great service as they don't understand you know they put Bel leaf, the three leaves called Bilipatra they put three leaves on top of the Shiva Lingam, Brahma Vishnu and Shiva. The water that is poured on the Shiva Linga, goes past a little passage and comes out of the mouth of a cow. We are the cows. This is the memorial of Baba’s knowledge coming out of our mouths.

When you enter the temple, you will see a bull Nandi statue, and this is the memorial of Brahma Baba. And then the toto is Gulzar Dadi. All the symbols are arranged properly in the temple. Different temples put them in a different way but the significance is very clear for us. So, sometimes you can go as an observer; when you see the priest inside, you do this (put your palms together); when you give you flower, you put it; it’s ok to do everything. You will enjoy so much because inside we know that we are doing everything for service and for the love of Shiv Baba. Do you know how innocent Shiv baba is?  You don’t know? He is very innocent. If I tell you a story about Shiv Baba, you will be surprised. Listen very carefully because Baba’s friend (the cough) is with me now. So, don't miss the sentence.

Once, there was a thief, who would steal every day. He was not stealing a lot, but just enough for his family. He had a big family with his wife and his children. Every day he would wander on the street, trying to find a chance to steal. It was Diwali day, and everywhere was a lot of light. As it was so much light everywhere, he could not steal anything. So, he started to head back home empty-handed. As he was walking down a dark and quiet road, suddenly, he noticed there was a small house without light. By chance, the owner of the house has gone away and the house was left unlocked. He opened the front door, and said, “Thank you, God. At least one House is left open for me, so I can get something for my family.” As he entered the house, it was totally dark. A car passed by the road, and the car light flashed through the window, which enabled him to see something sparkling high up on the ceiling.  He said to God that he would just take this one thing that was sparkling and sell it. “Oh God, this is too high up for me to reach.” He was remembering God even while stealing, as this was his nature. Then another car passed by and the car light flashed through the window, and he could see something which looked like a platform or a table which he could jump on. He said thanks to God, “At least, you got me a nice table for me to reach the ceiling.”

As he stepped up to reach the top, there was a bright light and a voice came, “My child, My child, what do you want, My child?”

The man jumped, “Who are you?”

The voice answered, “I am God.”

The man shouted, “What? Oh, my God. I have come to this house to steal.”

The voice said, “See, my child. Every day, you go to different houses. Today, you have come to My House. People come here to put flowers, rice and milk on Me. But you have climbed on Me. So, you have surrendered to Me. I am so happy that you have jumped onto me to fully surrender to Me. So, I am ready give you whatever you want, My child.”

This is how innocent God is. The thief has come to steal and God said he has surrendered to Him. Human would behave differently if someone enters our house, “Hey, who asked you to come in?” That is human nature. But God said, “You are on Me, so you can have whatever you want.” This is how bhola (innocent) Shiv Baba is.

This is how bhola Baba is in a practical way: Baba said, “Use Me in the Confluence Age. All My treasures are open for you children.” So what are we waiting for? Tell me.  At amrit vela, “Good morning Baba.” Then we do this, “Yes, Baba. Yes, Baba” (nodding off). And His treasure store is open, giving and giving and giving. Then, in class, we are very busy so sometimes we arrive to hear the three sentences of the Murli. We think we will at least get the present mark, and then read the Murli later on our mobile. But Bholanath (The Innocent Lord) knows everything from the time we open our eyes to the moment we are in bed. From that time, He knows that “My child is getting up and getting ready to go to class.” So, we should understand Him. That's why Baba says, “Very few know me as I am.”  Rarely, the children know who He is. So, say to Baba, “I know You very well, my sweet Baba. I love You. I know You. I'm ready to do Your service. My Baba, whatever You give me, I'm ready for that. My inner pure, true love for Him is ready. Never think that this is a VIP and I don't know how to explain to them. Say, “Baba, You explain it because I don't know what to tell.” When we give duty and responsibility to Baba, He is ready to do it. With an open heart, we hand over our responsibility.

Transfer, nothing else. Nothing is mine. Everything is Yours, Baba You look after it. Om shanti.

Sudesh Didi – 20th December 2022 Morning Revision - GCH, London: The Knowledge of the Soul and the Supreme Soul

21 December 2022

Q: The moment I, the soul, am out of the body, will I know everything about myself or not? Will I know about the next role, the knowledge about the soul, the knowledge about the subtle region? What do I actually know? What is the state of the soul the moment I am out of the body?

Sudesh Didi: Om shanti. It is through the wonder and the blessings of the laws of nature, the laws of drama, and the laws of karma, that we forget the past, including the things which are very near and dear to us.

In drama, the next scene is the next scene. From the past scene, when you start the next scene, the actors are different; the scene is different, and the stories and the content are different. If you carry the past scene, you will create confusion. So, it is a blessing to forget the past. We leave the body, that is from the past, we leave the bodily relations that are from the past. The soul is moved, carrying only the sanskars. Our sanskars is soul consciousness. We Brahmins leave the body and take with us the sanskars which we have created now. But when we are in the next womb, it's a chance for us. The roles that I have played in this life are rewound. At that time, as I am disconnected from the past, and not yet clear of my future, it is an opportunity to be me as I am.

This is what Baba speaks about, in the womb, you realise what you have done, and experience repentance. The future is not certain, and the past is switched off, cut off. We do not remember the beginning, middle, and end. So when a child is newly born, they will not remember. But the sanskars will play the role. Through that, the others will understand that this soul has brought this past nature. There are thousands of examples. It is quite common now to hear that a child piano prodigy of three years old, plays such wonderful piano as the master of music. It is as if the child has been playing for many years. You would have also heard of a child prodigy, just four years old, who can recite the whole Gita by heart. So, the deep impressions which have been developed for a long period of time, that goes with the soul. The expression is there but the relatives and friends are all forgotten.

So, when we leave the body, our new role begins. And the past is not connected. And it's a blessing because if there is a karmic account which we had to settle here, and these people were again in this new scene, I would not be able to pay in the form of virtues. I would have handled it with negativity. It is settling and creating, settling and creating drama. For example, if I had been a very cruel person, a greedy person, or I had been someone with corrupted behaviour, I would have created many relations based on vices instead of love and qualities. Now, I have to pay for this. So, this same soul whom I had deceived a lot, taken advantage and tortured, would become my baby, my child. The soul will come back to me and I have to pay for that. My whole life I would have to serve my child, because he was a handicapped child. The child would be enjoying his life and would be happy as the king of the house. And I would be the servant. I would have to pay with money, time, patience and love. All my positive energy I have to pay back. In this way, this helps us forget our karmic account.

If I remember the past, I would be stubborn, and would continue to prove myself right and prove that person wrong. So, this is a game, a play in drama. It is good to forget the past. But you cannot avoid the sanskars. The sanskars cannot be omitted or removed. The sanskars are with the soul as the soul is moving. So, we will not remember the knowledge exactly, but we will become the embodiment of what we have learned here. So, in the Golden Age, we will not remember the cycle, we will not remember the past, and we will not know the future either, but because the reward of the present knowledge is perfect peace, purity, love, health, happiness and harmony, we live a natural life. In this way, we remember in the form of sanskars, but not in the form of knowledge. So, knowledge is forgotten, and the sanskars are revealed. It is just like a tree. Eventually, the fruit is visible and the seed itself is now transformed and bearing the result of what it has created itself.

Q: Why do we not celebrate Shiv Jayanti when Shiva first incarnated into Brahma Baba, and witnessed by Dadi?

Sudesh Didi: In fact, Baba says, in the last Murli, that celebrations for us are every day (Avyakti Murli 18/12/22). He says that this is the time, at the Confluence Age. So, we understand that Shivratri is when Shiv Baba comes to dispel the darkness. And every day we are celebrating Shivratri because every day, this Lighthouse is giving so much light, and opening our intellect.

So, for us the whole Confluence Age is Shivratri. We are referring to the spiritual aspect instead of the ritual. In Shivratri, worshippers put drops of water as a ritual. For us, it is not about the ritual, but the spiritual attention, that my thought is focused on Baba at every second. The worshippers put a pot on the top of the Shiva Lingam at Shivratri, so the water falls drop by drop. So, for us, it is the knowledge that Baba has given; efforts together with celebrations. But there is no effort, we are playing that role now, and we are keeping fast. Fasting is not that we don't eat, but we fast not to have waste thoughts and negative thoughts, thoughts which are not sattvic. So, life becomes a festivity. We are enjoying ourselves in this Brahmin life, and at the same time, finishing our accounts from our past lives. This is why it is a celebration; freedom from the past. Enjoy the present and create the future.

Q: Baba says, “Remember Me.” So, it is Shiv Baba saying that remember Shiv Baba and don't remember anybody else. When do you remember BapDada, and when do you remember Brahma Baba? How do you balance the remembrance across them?

Sudesh Didi: Baba says, “Remember me and do not remember bodily being.” So, He means, “even though I am in Brahma’s body, do not remember Brahma.” But it is clear that the power is from Shiv Baba. Knowledge, purity, peace, love and truth are coming from Him. So what we achieve, it is the achievement that makes you remember Him with gratitude and love. So, to remember is just “Shiv Baba, Shiv Baba, Shiv Baba”, but remembering what you are receiving, then your action will be automatically as what Brahma Baba did.

So, you follow Brahma Baba, but do not remember Brahma Baba, because it is Baba’s remembrance that gives you the power to absolve your past wrong actions or wrong behaviour or sanskars. In this aspect, Remember Me alone, the Bodiless One. That is possible only when I see myself as a soul. Then my qualities can connect with Baba’s qualities.

Brahma Baba also emphasises, “Don't remember this one, I am not God.” Brahma is not God; Brahma is not even a deity; he is making effort. So, this is Brahma Baba’s humility and Shiv Baba’s appreciation for Brahma. This is very much in the Murlis.

Brahma Baba does not get trapped by the attachment of so many children. He would immediately draw the children’s attention, “Child, whose hand are you holding?” And Brahma Baba would remind the children, “Are you remembering Shiv Baba?” so that we do not become attached to the physical body.  His efforts were also to fly alone. So, Brahma Baba emphasises, “Don't remember this one.” And Shiv Baba emphasises, “Don’t remember any bodily beings.” Otherwise, you are stuck, and you are not able to get the power. This is what it means by “Remember Me alone”.

Q: If I remember correctly, Shiv Jayanti means nine births. Can you clarify?

Sudesh Didi: There are no nine births. This was my comment. The celebration of Shiv Jayanti means nine types of births taking place at the same time. It is not only Shiv Baba’s incarnation or existence at this time in the corporeal world. When Shiva comes, only then the subtle region is created, and that is the birth of the subtle region. It is when God comes and gives the knowledge. So, it is the birth of the Gita. It is at this time that through Brahma, Brahmins are created. So, it is our birthday as well as Shiv Baba’s birthday. He is creating heaven, paradise, and He is creating our future.

So, in this way, when I spoke about Shiv Jayanti means nine birthdays. It is not Shiv Baba has nine births. Nine things exist at the same time when Shiv Baba comes, they emerge.

Q: How do we fulfil the responsibility for the relationship with Baba?

Sudesh Didi: If I am a child, am I obedient and faithful? As a student, am I fulfilling the responsibility of doing the homework that Baba gives? Am I able to really imbibe what He is teaching, or am I becoming a priest? Baba as Satguru, am I paying that attention to truth? Have I transformed all my past into the future divine stage of myself? If He is my Friend, am I honest and have conversations with Him like this, that I can speak clearly and make myself light, let go of my role and not be afraid of what has been done wrong, and be ready to accept His teachings.

So, whatever relationships we have with Baba, in a worldly sense, we always value and then give a return. To fulfil that responsibility is to continue to keep it for a long period of time and give the result of what you have achieved. That's called responsibility.

Just as when children are born, parents look after them. When the parents are old, the children feel now it is our turn to give them back. That is called fulfilling responsibilities. Or we have children, and this is our responsibility, but careful that I do not take the responsibility unnecessarily, which creates a new karmic Account. For Shiv baba, it is not about new karmic account. Instead, it is about clearing old account, by fulfilling my responsibility till the end. This ability to respond, is the ability to show the result from what we have given, and now we give you the return, not to Shiv Baba, but the return is that we want to make myself complete. That is fulfilling the responsibility to Shiva through all relationships. Om shanti.

Sudesh Didi – 4th December 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London: The Subtlety of Feelings and Intentions

8 December 2022

Om Shanti. Om Shanti. Good morning, golden morning, the ones who bring the new world of happiness, new awareness, new consciousness, new divine culture, to such sparkling diamonds, diamond morning.

I was asked to speak today about the difference between the three expressions or three terms Baba uses. They are dehbhaan (body consciousness), deh abhiman (body conscious), and deh andhkaarDehbhaan: deh means body, bhaan means awareness; the awareness of the body. Deh abhiman: I begin to believe, that the body is what I am, and it is connected more with my attachment in it. Deh andhkaar: which I believe that what I am, no one is like that. This is to with what is inside the head.

Dehbhaan, the awareness of the body is a neutral type awareness, that keep us here. I am girl or boy our parents make us aware of our gender. I am young, I am old; I am short or tall, small or big. So, it is just a description, and it does not lead you to think again and again. The moment you begin to think again, that I am really old and now I am old, or I am weak, then ‘I am’ becomes what the condition of the body is. Whatever the situation is, we begin to believe it, and cover ourselves with that consciousness. And this becomes body consciousness.

I remember my sweet memory. I was 18 years old. Mama sent me to a small centre to help someone. With great enthusiasm, of course, I went and stayed there for a few months. Then, Mama was in Delhi, and invited me to a gathering of teachers.

I cried in front of Mama and said, “Mama I don't want to live in the centre.”

She asked me, “Why? You were very enthusiastic and eager to go before. Why don't you want to go now?” Mama had previously asked my father for me to help as the local centre was run by my lokik auntie, my mother’s sister.

I said, “Mama, the majority of the people there are old like my grandparents. And I am so young. They ask strange questions. I do not even know what they mean. They are family problems and their own internal problems. They use strange language and they explain in a strange way. I don't want to live in the centre.”

Mama replied, “Sudesh, you are very body conscious.”

“What does it mean, body conscious? Why is it connected with body conscious? This is what I'm feeling and I'm telling you my true feeling.”  I asked.

Mama said, “You are seeing the age of your body. The conscious of the age, is being conscious of the age of the body. You are small but you are originally the ancestor of all those were present there. The soul is the tiniest. Is it small? Baba is the tiny Point of Light. He is small, and He is the Almighty, Knowledge-full, Powerful and is able to answer everything. Respect is a different thing, but to think I am small and they are old; to be conscious of this age and not able to handle this is being body conscious. Baba has made you instrument and given you the opportunity. So, forget the body; don't think I am just a small kumari. Of course, it is great, being proud of this that you are kanya kumari. But you are Brahma Kumari. Mama was also the same age and Baba called her Mama. Mama accepted it and forgot the age of the body.”

So, the age of the body also makes you body conscious, and you are not able to express what is recorded in the soul. When you become soul conscious, then body conscious will not interfere. Body conscious means that you go into the comparison of younger or older, clever or not clever, wiser or not wise, experienced or not experienced. It is either comparison or competition; something else is mixed in the soul. And you are holding on to this. It is as if while in the pure consciousness of a soul, as Baba’s child, you are thinking they are like grandparents, with whom you are associating with the body and with the worldly self, and this conscious thoughts make one either fearful or doubtful or not so confident in the self. So, pure consciousness is that you are a soul, and you are expressing yourself through this body. The body is an instrument. This has reminded me how I need to be very aware of what is soul conscious and what is body conscious.

When you are body conscious, dehbhaan, you demand, you expect or you lose hope in yourself and become dependent, because you are not conscious of what the qualities of the soul are. But you are being influenced by the environment, by how others are, how they express and present themselves. To learn, to understand and to be inspired is a different thing. This is what I have understood, and I'm explaining it to you in detail.

So, body consciousness is deh abhimanAbhiman is that because I am older than you, you should accept me immediately. Like parents’ consciousness, we are old, we are experienced, and even if the child is giving good advice, but because I am old and experienced, I know better. So, you begin to compare. With soul consciousness, you begin to appreciate that you have been given good advice. Thoughts have changed because consciousness has changed.

As you are conscious of the original qualities of the self, those qualities make you powerful. And when you are body conscious, the properties of the five elements will influence you. Ocean is water. If you swim and stay above, you will not take in the water. If you are aboard on the ship, it moves on the water and takes you across. If water comes in, it drowns us. In the same way, the consciousness in soul consciousness is purity; in body consciousness, dust is mixed in it. Clean water is healthy, and a little bit of dust in the water makes you sick. Clean water has a nice flow, it is the energy of it. If dust is mixed in the clean water, it becomes murky and is no longer clear, and original nice flow now becomes slow. Gradually, if more dust is mixed in it, it is not called even water; it is called mud; it is sticking to your hand and holding on to you. So, body consciousness means that the properties of matter begin to affect you.

Bodiless-ness means you are in this body, but you are using it less and less, and do not allow it to influence you. You are also not using your senses with body consciousness, which brings vices. Body consciousness means desire, attachment, greed, expectations and possessiveness. It is not only vices but there are weaknesses as well. Heat is not only about fire, but jealousy, anger, rejection and hatred, all these are the heat inside. Instead of using the virtues of the soul, vices become the reality, and impatience comes.

Dehbhaan and ego is that you want to be unlimited, as a result, you react or reject, make others feel guilty and you prove yourself to be right. It is a subtle kind of vices, not gross form, which are affecting you from the inside. As you want to cover it, you try to keep everyone under your control. But inside, it is fear; the fear of losing your position, or not being respected, so wrong authorities are used, and it's called Deh andhkaar. Aham (Ego) is working: my body, my position, my quality is my specialities. And we accumulate more and more dust. Baba teaches us to stay in pure consciousness in in Baba’s lap, then you swing in the swing of supersensuous joy, of love, peace, of happiness. You are also seated on the throne, on your forehead. Baba has also offered a throne, which is of love, of purity, of peace, of happiness and of benevolence. So, this consciousness is connected very much with thoughts, because our thoughts make us aware that I am younger or older.

The other day, Baba spoke about the importance of thoughts. Sankalp (Thoughts), vikalp (impure thoughts), what is this then, thinking or not thinking? When you are soul conscious, you are still thinking, when you are body conscious, you are also thinking. Thinking is very important energy of the soul, which proves that you are living.

Your thinking, your feelings, your breathing, breathing in and breathing out; what you think is the energy you generate to the outside, which eventually becomes the environment

Some people think to be soul conscious means not to think; some say meditation is not to think. But when you are thinking “not to think”, this is also a thought; one powerful thought is controlling other thoughts. So thought is nature, it is the energy of the mind. But vikalp is thoughts which are of waste weak, influenced by weakness, defects, vices, and the effects of the nature and the sanskars of others.

Dadi Janki used to say “Don't think.” She gave classes on this subject for nearly a year, not don't think or don't think. Everyone would say, but we have to think. The meaning is not to focus on the thoughts which make you worry, which create fear and tension. But thinking itself is our nature. So, don't make your thoughts vikalp because it's a waste of time, a waste of energy and, as you are focusing on the wrong thing, it is blocking your own intellect.

But think “What is Manmanabhav?” is also thinking. “I am a soul and I belong to Baba” is a thought, but it is with clarity. So, when we are thinking with clarity, with soul consciousness, and with benevolence, then it is a pure thought. There is no karmic account. When I am thinking about bodily relations in body consciousness, it becomes a chain of thoughts in relationships, worries, tension and fear. Baba says that He also thinks, “These are my children. They are Shiv Baba’s children; I have to look after them.” So, punyakarma (charitable action) is created. When the thoughts are benevolent without selfish motives in it, they are neutral thoughts. There is no possessiveness or expectation, instead, there are good wishes, shubh kaamna and shubh bhaavna (pure feelings). Karmic account with them is not created, but account with God is created.

As you are not just serving one individual, but you are serving Baba’s yagya. It is Baba’s yagya, it's not one person. So, when we are focused on human beings, due to attachment or expectations, it becomes an account; it becomes vikarma, (impure actions), a bondage, an action which causes sorrow. It separates me from my true self and also separates myself from God. It leads me to perform wrong actions out of vices. That is why it is vikarma.

When I am neutral and let God do His work, I perform actions which are benevolent for myself and good for Baba’s children, that no karmic account is created. It gives satisfaction when we give donation or perform charity. Donation is the giving of gross things and charity is the giving of subtle things such as cooperation, good wishes, upliftment, and encouragement which is timely and giving others benefit they need at the time. For example, if a person is thirsty, and you give them water, but you would not expect them to give you milk in return. But, when expectation is mixed in charity, you give this much and you expect a return, karmic account comes.

So, this is why these terms may sound similar, but their meanings behind are different. One example is bhaavna and kaamnashubh kaamna and shubh bhaavna, good wishes and pure feelings. And also, the deep wish of benevolence is pure. Everything which is connected with soul consciousness is pure; anything which is connected with dehbhaandeh abhiman and andhkaar, it becomes a bondage. So, I have to check my relationships to see if I create bondage or if I liberate myself. Liberation is of one second, and realisation is of one second, but until I study and transform myself, I do not get liberation. So, this is why, practise, practise, practise every day.

Baba says, “Be bodiless; be avyakt; be soul conscious; be a trustee.”  So, use these stages and become detached. The more we understand the subtlety of the study, the more we are able to give ourselves happiness, and happiness and cooperation to others. That is shubh bhav and shubh bhaavna, the intention is good, and the wishes are also elevated.

Om shanti. I am taking leave now. I am going next door to Germany for ten days and come back 13th December. Om shanti.
