Will I be able to look dharamraj straight in the eye? Sister Jayanti – 26th December

31 December 2020

The lovely song was about the love that Baba has for us.  His love is deeper than the ocean and more elevated than the sky and today Baba is speaking about the unlimited property that He has given us.  Think of all that Baba has given and you really see that it is unlimited and enough for everyone.  No need to fight about my share and your share but it is there to an unlimited extent for all of us.

Normally we would say the inheritance from Shiv Naba is peace, purity and happiness but somehow we forgot about the love in the sense that when we tell others about what it is that we get from God as our inheritance, we talk about truth and love in a different capacity.  We talk about peace, purity and happiness as the inheritance from God but definitely it is the power of love and the power of truth that is also our inheritance from Baba now.

Today it is a sakar murli and Baba has mentioned the fact that there is no inheritance from the alokik father. The unlimited property is from the Unlimited Father and for the alokik father, Brahma Baba, Baba is saying that he is also part of the creation and so you don’t get an inheritance from him.  Then, of course,  you begin to  think about it and you see how much we get from Brahma Baba and I will take that up in just a minute but before that the whole idea that you get nothing from Brahma Baba, that Shivbaba tells us about a lot in the murli and also both Shivbaba and Brahma Baba tell us time and again: don’t remember this one, remember that One and I totally understand that it is human nature to remember human beings and so the intellect will always go towards the messenger rather than the message and so Brahma Baba is making sure that we understand the message of soul consciousness and God consciousness and not to get caught up in human beings, as is our habit.   But also the fact that Brahma Baba doesn’t want any attachments.

One is where I have attachment to another but the other is when someone is attached to me and so there is a tail that is dangling and maybe it is not just one tail, may be it is 1 ,2 ,3 or 4 tails dangling. Dadi told the story about how she was feeling very happy when she surrendered and could stay with Baba and after a couple of years or so she started feeling a lot of sorrow and couldn’t understand where this sorrow was coming from.  She went to Mama and Mama asked her several questions and there was no explanation that Mama could give and so Mama told her to talk to Brahma Baba and Baba said to her that while she was with lokiks she had given them so much happiness that they were all attached to her.  He said that today you are not attached to them but they are still very attached to you and so they are pulling you and this is why you are feeling this sorrow that is coming.  At this point there is nothing to cause you sorrow but they are missing you and so they are pulling you and it is because you still have not finished the thought that you are Janki.  So finish the thought that that is who I am and once you have finished that thought completely then no one can pull you anymore because Janki has finished.

So she shared this story and I am sure many of you will remember it.   She then realised that she had to deeply practise soul consciousness to such an extent that she would not have that thought of the past of who she is, who she belonged to in past relationships of this birth.   Past relationships of past births thankfully had disappeared just through drama.

So why I was remembering this was because on the one side Brahma Baba wants to make sure that we are soul conscious and God conscious and we don’t get attached to him but on the other side Brahma Baba also doesn’t want to have any tails dangling behind him and so if somebody is attached to me then it is not just their problem  it is my problem also and so I have to  have that inner awareness of absolutely a new birth, new beginning, new life with Baba so that the lokik feeling of the past that finished not just for me but for others also and so Brahma Baba  not accepting at all any credit for himself on any level.

And of course, Brahma Baba’s humility and again, teaching us what it is we have to do in terms of developing humility ourselves and so Brahma Baba, an amazing example and why I say that is, in a sakar murli it will always be remember One, remember One and occasionally Shiv Baba will talk about the lucky chariot and how valuable this chariot is but the avyakt murlis very often tell us about following in the father’s footsteps in a lot of detail.

The 18th of January is coming up and we have had celebrations for Christmas and New Year - different time now, but whatever celebrations go on, but all that finishes and the preparations for 18 January, and planning for the whole year because the time that we get at Rakhi for tapasya and in January for tapasya we don’t get at any other time and so in the blessing that has come today - and the blessings are from the avyakt murlis - Baba has spoken about having a carbon paper of attention so that you can then able to follow the father accurately and so sakar murlis are telling us don’t remember Brahma Baba and avyakt murlis are saying follow the father and there is good reason for Baba telling us don’t remember Brahma Baba and there is very good reason for Baba to tell us to remember Brahma Baba and so what is it that I am remembering? And of course Brahma Baba in the avyakt form and it is much, much easier to just experience the subtlety of Brahma Baba than the physical dependency but then of course we have had to deal with whatever variety of dependency on avyakt Bapdada.

He kept warning us that He would not be around all the time.  You are going to have to come to the subtle region to meet me.  I am not going to come down to meet you.  This was very gradual, it was not a sudden cut off and this was His kindness and after the detailed murlis that we are still reading, then came the period of very short murlis  and then instead of every two weeks maybe one two three times a year and again Baba just gently wheening us off those also.

Then Dadi goes to Bombay and we know that she is not going to be around and so then we have to make the effort to go up to the subtle region and so it has been very gentle.  Very kind.  But Baba has been gradually taking away all our supports. But reflecting on what it is we learn from Brahma Baba and the 18 chapters of the Gita that Shivbaba spoke through Brahma Baba -  there is something very lovely that has come from Madhuban that we will take up starting in January but the title is, and gives you an idea, the 18 footsteps in which we follow the father and it is fascinating reading those and just looking at each step that is being described and yes you recognise all of them from the murlis, you will recognise all of them from the stories you have heard about Brahma Baba and so I am not going to take up those 18 steps now, but I am very aware that following in Brahma Baba’s footsteps is really the way to perfection and Baba has made an interesting comment about that.

If you are not able to make yourself complete now because we are all recognising that times have changed so much, not just covid, but all the things that are going on in the world.  You can see for yourself that it is not just Shivbaba telling us that the end is nye but our own awareness and understanding of what is going on in the world can absolutely underline for us that not a great deal of time is left.  Everything has come to such an extreme state that we are very close now and Baba says this is the time to become complete and if you cannot make yourself complete following Baba with that attention take help so that you are able to do that.

Earlier on we would have said that the Dadi’s are around, take help from them and today yes, whoever it is you can trust - take help from them but I was thinking what is it that comes in the way of being able to take help.  And what comes to mind is honesty with the self.  To what extent am I genuinely honest with myself so that I can truly identify  whatever it is that is not allowing me to move forward with the speed that I would like to move forward with.  So it means really stopping my attention going here and there and really just being able to look at myself and say yes I know that it is this and maybe when I start exploring something and if I am linking it with the inheritance from Shivbaba, the inheritance from Brahma Baba, the 18 steps of Brahma Baba, the detail, that is fine but if today I don’t have the full inheritance from Shivbaba of peace, purity and happiness, why not?  There is no one that can stop me from claiming my full and complete inheritance.  Nobody can stop me and nothing can stop me.

Whatever happens in the Confluence Age I can track it back and see why things are happening the way they are.  What is it that I have not been able to give my attention to properly that is preventing me from experiencing that state of total peace, total purity and total happiness?  The habit of human beings kicks in and of course when I don’t get what I want, I want to point the finger out there always and say because of this this and this.  The honesty with the self that is going to make me remove the blockage is: I accept that Baba has given me all the tools.  There is nothing that is secret that Baba gave a handful that allowed them to become the 8 who are worshipworthy.  Whatever they received we have also received, especially since we started the revision of the avyakt murlis.

Since the 90s the quality of the murlis changed in the aspect that Baba didn’t take up one deep subject any more.  We are still hearing the murlis of the 1980s and each murli has such power and depth in it.  Since the mid 90s we used to say Baba is playing to the gallery because then it was 25,000 people and the attention and focus of when it was first a handful and then a few hundred and then a few thousand it was very different to what happened in Shantivan and Baba still continued to give us deep intense points. But Baba has given us the opportunity to revise all these avyakt  murlis and so where the majority have not heard those that also has been given, so there is nothing secret.  So my point -  that the 8 jewels became the 8 jewels through this same knowledge and Mama didn’t hear a single avyakt murli and she became Mama without that.  Brahma Baba again did not need the avyakt  murlis to do the inner work that he did from sakar murlis.   Shivbaba keeps referring back to him in the avyakt muurlis,  but he did all that work internally to become karmateet and so he didn’t need the avyakt murli.

We need them and we have had them and take a huge amount of benefit from them and the avyakt murlis keep reminding us:  look at yourself, and so truly taking up the avyakt murli and being honest with myself and Baba says: 1, 2, 3 now see which category you fit into. The language is very royal language.  Even though it might be 3 Baba still uses very beautiful words to describe 3 and compared to the world 3rd stage is much, much more elevated  than the tamopradhan stage of kalyug and so it is as Baba is saying in a very royal way: you are good but what about this, this and this.  If I lose my peace for any reason then why am I losing my peace?  What is it that I have not understood about gyan?.  Maybe it is drama.  Not drama that I have not understood, it is a subject of drama that I have not understood and so what is it that is causing me to lose my peace and so om shanti is a mantra that we are born with and keep hearing but am I really able to be om shanti and if I am not, can I be honest with myself and just find out what are the reasons that make me lose my peace and let me make it a very strong principle that I have to find the cause of losing my peace inside without attaching blame to anyone or anything else.

The Confluence Age is the time when no excuses are permitted and at the end of the Confluence Age we know what  Dharamraj  is.  The state where yes I am in front of Baba and so Baba is there but in Baba’s presence at that moment I cannot give any excuses and so if today I stop giving excuses for whatever is lacking within my own attainment then to that extent I will be able to look Dharamraj straight in the eyes and take that drishti and I will have dealt with the excuses that I am giving now.  At that time no excuses and now is the time I can make myself complete and so when taking help from anyone I need honesty and so the first step is honesty with myself and maybe then I don’t need to take help from anyone else except Baba because if I am honest with myself I put that in front of Baba  and He is able to give me a signal and whether it comes straight in my head or through someone or a situation,  I will get a signal and as a result of that signal I will be able to deal with it and move forward and so be able to see why I am not experiencing all the attainments that Baba has promised me.

The Confluence Age is the time when I know everything about myself, God, the cycle, karma philosophy from Satyug onwards to the time I go home and today Baba said when you go home everything is quiet.  The part is completely merged and the way Baba is describing it is very lovely.  Nothing exists at that moment.  Everything is just silent and so when is it that I get answers to all my questions?  When do I take my full inheritance and know that this is my inheritance from God.  This is now the time of the Confluence Age and peace is a very easy one to start with.

You can instantly see if your mind is racing and the racing mind is a mind that is peaceless.  If my mind can be quiet and still and calm and yes, focused, and attention where it is needed and understanding where it is needed and churning where it is needed.   But a racing mind is very different to the churning mind and so when the mind is racing it is going round on a repetitive track and I am not going to find any answers or solution if that is going on.

So can I make my mind om shanti?  That is the first thing.  Next is purity and the inheritance that Baba gives me of purity when I the soul am connected only with God.  When we speak of purity to people out there they ask what we mean by purity.  It is very strange for them.  A very simple way is to say, when everything is clean and they nod their heads -  that is people interviewing you etc. -  it happened a little while ago - and if you say: that state of total cleanliness, they can relate to that.  No jealousy, negativity, nothing, just completely clean.

The purity that Baba gives us is more than something clean.  Think about clean water and yes it is good that it is clean.  You are appreciating it but think about water that actually is nourishing, filled with goodness so it is not just that it is clean but there is something else within it.  The water of the Golden Age that is filled with the nourishment of the herbs, the plants, as it is moving along and the state of the soul, purity, and that state in which the soul is sparkling, the soul is filled with goodness that has come from God and so when am I going to experience that and know that this is my inheritance from Baba today? The unlimited property that Baba is giving me and it is not just soul consciousness but happens through being God conscious.  Om shanti to make my mind quiet it is not just soul conscious but with the power from God.

The third state. The stage of happiness.  What is interrupting my experience of happiness and whatever is missing in my experience of these attainments, the missing factor, whatever it is, it is in me.  My pattern of thinking, my sanskars.  Let me go deeper and deeper within my own story and be able to see whatever it is that is not quite as it should be and be able to pull it out.

Two days running Baba has spoken a very simple sentence about remembrance and this is why I am also aware that my inheritance, my property from God, is very much dependent on my love for Baba, my remembrance of Baba. In one murli Baba spoke about if you fail then the failure is because of remembrance.  And it was in the context of the Silver Age and Baba asking the question: why did Rama fail?  What happened?  And so it wasn’t a general thing that say, instead of 100 marks you get 80 marks, because Rama is still known as one of the big icons in Bharat.  Krishna is No.1 and Rama is No.2 and some would put it the other way round.  A huge impact on the lives of people and his life and his activity and yet in Baba’s eyes a failure and Baba said it was due tolack of remembrance. And the subject of remembrance is so easy.  I am a soul, I am Shiv Baba’s child and then all the other things that Baba gives us connected with all of that.

So failure - lack of remembrance.  So focus on soul consciousness and God consciousness and all the attainments will come. Baba has said the essence of all knowledge is remembrance so however deeply I understand gyan, however much attention I have had on following what Baba teaches me, the essence of all that effort, remembrance and Baba makes it easy for us and in a way Baba has described remembrance as very basic, very easy and yes you can go into all sorts of other details but the experience of connection with God is very simple, very easy and so take the unlimited inheritance from Baba, now Shivbaba,, and also learn all the things I need to learn from Brahma Baba by seeing what steps he has taken.

We will take up the 18 steps from 1st.  Each one is powerful and beautiful and again and again the attention towards the One.

Om shanti

18 Steps of Father Brahma - Special Effort for 18th January 2021

30 December 2020

18 Steps of Father Brahma

(Special effort for 18th January 2021 for Father Brahma’s Day of Remembrance)

To beloved Avyakt Mother, Father, BapDada’s deeply beloved instrument teachers, sisters and brothers, ones who have love for solitude and always remain merged in the depth of One, ones who remain lost in the love of One, ones who remain engaged in the service of world transformation with your pure and powerful vibrations, all brothers and sisters of this land and abroad who are the decoration of the Brahmin clan, please accept Godly love-filled sweet remembrance.

Now, the year 2020 is being wound onto the reel of the drama. This year, the Corona virus has taught everyone a lot. While learning the lesson of “suddenly”, maintaining a constant and stable stage in every situation, everyone has specially practised serving through the mind. The New Year is now coming closer. While invoking the New Year, we will share loving greetings of the New Year with one another with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Definitely, you must all also be making plans filled with newness for the New Year. First of all, at the beginning of the year, in the month of January which is the special month of remembrance of our beloved Father Brahma, all of us will create our avyakt stage in this avyakt month. Keeping the aim of becoming complete and perfect, the same as Father Brahma, we want to create a very good atmosphere everywhere. For this, let each one keep silence of the mind and of the mouth and especially experience solitude. Along with this, placing your steps in the footsteps of Father Brahma, be a complete Brahma-chari (one who follows the footsteps of Father Brahma), and in order to give the proof of his loving sustenance, we are sending to all of you 18 steps of Father Brahma, and by placing your steps in his footsteps, we have to become equal to him. These can be read in class every morning and everyone can take such steps and create their elevated stage. In the year 2021, make special effort to become an embodiment of peace and power throughout the year. For this, Madhuban will send every month a letter of remembrance “Patra Pushpa” and Avyakt Signals with which to create an elevated stage.

18th Steps of Father Brahma for 18th January.

1)    Will everything of yours and become full of will power.

Father Brahma willed everything of his as his first step. First, he fully willed all his weaknesses and defects and then he willed all his physical and subtle wealth. He never thought about what was going to happen in the future or how it would happen. He willed everything at a stroke (“jatku”) and so received will power. In the same way, you children have to follow the Father.

2)    The intention to make others even higher than the self.

Father Brahma made the children even higher than himself, and he made every child go first in every aspect and gave them such regard. He put the lesson of “You first” into practice with his attitude, vision, words and actions. He always kept the mothers and sisters in the front. Follow the Father in the same way and you will then become equal to the Father.

3)    Experiencing spirituality in the worldly things.

While doing any work, Father Brahma always maintained his angelic stage. He transformed worldly things into spiritual things. There wasn’t any worldiness visible in his actions or his sanskars. He made his thinking, speaking and doing equal. Follow the Father in the same way. Let every worldly situation be transformed into something spiritual; even in your seeing, hearing and speaking, and thereby, become equal.

4)    Loving to everyone and co-operative with everyone.

Father Brahma was loving and co-operative to everyone in every way and in every form. He always remained merged in the love of the one Father. Not a single second or thought was without co-operation. In the same way, all of you children have to be loving to all and give the practical proof of co-operation.

5)    Always free from the desire of fruit, ignorant of the knowledge of desire.

Father Brahma did not have any desire for the fruit of any of his actions. Because of always having the awareness of the Father in his every word and action, he didn’t have the slightest desire for any fruit, even in his thoughts. He sustained everyone with an altruistic attitude. Even while having knowledge of the reward of any effort, he didn’t have any attachment to that. In the same way, you children also have to remain beyond the desire of name, respect and honour, be ignorant of the knowledge of desire and then do service. Sustain everyone this way for only then will the moths surrender to the Flame.

6)    Qualifications of a constant yogi.

Every thought of Father Brahma was for the service of world benefit. He gave the experience of humility, humbleness and greatness through his every word. In his awareness, on the one hand he was an unlimited master an on the other hand, he was a world server. On the one hand, he had the intoxication of having all rights, and on the other hand, he was respectful to all. He was always a bestower and a bestower of blessings to all souls. Even to a soul who rejected everyone or who defamed others, he gave the feeling of being a benevolent soul. Follow the Father in the same way. While having good wishes on each soul in front of you, be a world benefactor. These are the qualifications of a constantly yogi soul.

7)    Free from attachment even in your thoughts and dreams.

While living in the old world, Father Brahma remained free from attachment to any person or possession in his thoughts and even in his dreams. He was always seated on the Trimurti throne, always had awareness of the three aspects of time, he was always aware of the three aspects of time in every action, and he made his every action an elevated action, a pure action. He stayed beyond old sanskars and nature. He always remained seated on the seat of a detached observer. Follow the Father in the same way and become a true Raj Rishi.

8)    Keeping balance of maturity and being entertaining.

On Father Brahma’s face, you always saw signs of maturity as well as a smile and Maturity, that is, introversion. The sign of that was that he always remained lost as in the depths of the ocean. One minute his face would show signs of him churning knowledge and the next minute, his face would be smiling and entertaining. We saw both qualities on his face. Let your face be a copy of Father Brahma’s face in the same way. Let Father Brahma be visible through your character and your face. Become a photocopy of Father Brahma in this way.

9)    An image that grants visions through the experience of the stage of being lost in love.

In the beginning, people had visions of Father Brahma while they were sitting at home. They  all experienced someone personally speaking to them and signalling them. In the same way, this will be experienced at the end through the instrument souls. For this, like Father Brahma, always remain lost in the love of One. This stage of being lost in love will make you into an image that grants visions. Let there not be any type of burden on your intellect. Let your daily schedule be the same as Father Brahma’s for only then will others be able to experience the scenes of the beginning at the end.

10)    A master ocean in all virtues.

Father Brahma was a master ocean in all virtues. He experienced the inheritance of all powers in his practical life. Along with this, the elevated and great stage of the soul is: “Completely viceless, complete with all virtues, sixteen celestial degrees complete, follower of the highest code of conduct, completely non- violent.” He put this greatness into his practical life. You children also have to become full of all virtues and all qualities in the same way. While experiencing all powers, become a master ocean of all virtues for only then will you be able to serve as a bestower of blessings and a great donor.

11)    Being a true server with the speciality of being an instrument and having humility.

Father Brahma always experienced himself to be an instrument and remained a true server with great humility. He made this his natural nature. The intention of benefitting the world was clearly visible in his every action. All the facilities of happiness and comfort, all his virtues and powers he had attained, he donated all of them for the upliftment of souls and became a great donor. He transformed each one’s defects into virtues, he transformed loss into benefit, he transformed defamation into praise. So, adopt such vision and awareness and become a true server.

12)    Number one in both renunciation and fortune.

At the beginning of establishment, Father Brahma became an instrument in the physical form. He received a letter from Alpha (God) and so renounced everything for service. He became number one in his renunciation and also in his fortune. At the end too, in order to uplift the children and make them avyakt, he became a resident of the subtle region. So, while following the Father, both in renunciation and in fortune, make yourself complete and do service and become a resident of the subtle region, the same as Father Brahma.

13)    Do the service of spreading elevated vibrations with a powerful mind.

Father Brahma used to stay awake at night and do the service of spreading vibrations. Whoever takes the initiative in this is Arjuna. While doing any service, while making chapattis, while being on guard duty, always stay in the form of powerful remembrance. Serve the world with your mind. A world server doesn’t just do single work, but double work. Let your hands work physically and continue to donate powers with your mind. Serve while being an image of virtues and you will accumulate double.

14)    As well as being one who uplifts others, be celibate.

Father Brahma always uplifted others and, together with this, in his life of dying alive, he remained celibate from the beginning to the end. A celibate life means a pure life like that of Brahma. Call it brahmchari (celibate) or Brahma-chari (following the footsteps of Father Brahma), be constant in that from the beginning to the end. Let your purity and cleanliness not be disturbed in any way for only then will you become worthy of worship. This is known as following the Father.

15)    Always victorious with the power of transformation.

With the power of transformation, Father Brahma transformed anyone’s words and intentions. He transformed defamation into praise, he transformed insult into praise, disrespect into self-respect, defamation into upliftment, he transformed obstacles of Maya into ways of being absorbed in the Father’s love and was always victorious. Follow the Father in the same way. He wasn’t co-operative just with loving souls. When you make souls in whom there is no hope into souls with great hope, then you can say it is a wonder. This is known as following the Father.

16)    Being an embodiment of success by granting a vision of your original form with the mirror of your soul-conscious stage.

With the powerful mirror of his stage of soul consciousness, Father Brahma always gave every soul a glimpse or a vision of their original form in a second. This is known as the stage of a “light and might house”. Just as the Father kept the form of light and might and the Almighty Authority, Father Brahma became the same as Him. In the same way, you children also become complete with all powers, the same as the Father and become embodiments of success. With the jewel on your forehead, give everyone a vision of their original form.

17)    Experienced in the reward of the confluence age, merged in love and free from hard work.

The confluence age is the age to be merged in love, it is not the age of hard work. It is the age of meeting. It is the age of the moths merging into the Flame. Children are the crown on the head, the decoration of the home. The children of the Father are the masters.  So, always remain experienced in such an elevated stage.

Follow the footsteps in every way – in your thoughts, words, deeds, relationships and connections, continue to place your steps in his footsteps. The reward of the confluence age is to be equal to the Father in your stage and be seated on the heart throne. The stage of perfection is not just for a few moments, it is for life. It is an angelic life, a yogi life. Remain merged in such love and experience a lift that makes you free from hard work.

18)    The practice of coming into the subtle (avyakt) from the gross (vyakt).

Though Brahma Baba is subtle, he still comes into the corporeal and carries out some tasks. In the same way, you children have to stay in your avyakt stage and make your physical organs function. Let your drishti, words and thoughts be like those of the Father’s. Just as Father Brahma is the Father of the unlimited, children also have to be the same. To the extent that there is closeness, let there be that much equality. At the end, you children too will become creators of your creation and experience this in a practical way. Just as the Father automatically remembers His form of being a Creator when He sees His creation, you children will also have a similar stage, numberwise.

Special notice for the Day of Remembrance of Father Brahma – 18th January 2021.

1)    We are sending from Madhuban, especially for the 18 steps of Father Brahma, which he demonstrated in his practical life. Keeping these in your awareness, all of you should place your steps in Father Brahma’s footsteps and race to make intense effort to become complete and perfect.

2)    For the whole month of January, let each one keep the aim to stay in the experience of the double light, angelic stage. While interacting with others and carrying out your activities, as much as possible, pay special attention to being introverted. “Speak less, speak softly and speak sweetly.” Keep this slogan in your awareness, be economical in your thoughts, words and time and increase your account of accumulation. Make effort to remain unshakeable even in upheaval.

3)    While seeing or hearing anything, instead of questioning it, put a full stop. Stay beyond the questions “Why? What? How?” and always remain happy. Compare your every thought, word and deed with those of Father Brahma.

4)    Especially for the Day of Remembrance, the Murli of beloved BapDada’s sweet teachings which are very deep and entertaining sakar Murli points and also the avyakt elevated versions have been sent to you. On the 18th January, especially listen to this Murli with concentration and put it into practice throughout the day.

5)    The 18th January 2021 is a Monday, the day of the memorial of the Father who gives us the nectar to drink, so let this day be celebrated as a “World Peace Day”. Let everyone take leave from their work and, throughout the day, while touring in the subtle region, have special tapasya from amrit vela till the evening. In the evening, let everyone watch and listen with attention the elevated avyakt versions that will be shown on line and experience an avyakt meeting. If any place does not have the internet facilities, they can have a yoga programme.

6)    Print articles in magazines etc. and give Brahma Baba’s life story.

7)    Have public programmes for the 18th January.

SisterJayanti, 20th December "Can I focus on Baba’s drishti and take all virtues and powers that I need?"

22 December 2020

The song we have just heard has beautiful lyrics:  I have experienced meeting God and had the opportunity of heart to heart conversation with God and experienced the happiness that comes from meeting with God.  This applies to everyone here, who has made the effort to come through the rain and dark as we are officially allowed to continue with communal ‘worship’. It is this meeting with God that brings us all together.

Today’s Murli is a powerful one, regarding the authority of Truth.  This is not an authority filled with arrogance: in the lokik world even if someone is wearing a basic uniform, they feel a sense of authority.  Here, the authority that Brahma Baba demonstrated, and then the Dadis learned and followed in those footsteps, came across with the power of love and humility. Baba has equated authority and greatness with humility.

One particular story about Brahma Baba.  The Sakar Murli was always spoken with truth without camouflaging it in any way, and in the early days in Delhi, one individual was asking questions regarding with what authority was this being spoken.  He had heard gyan and had understood we were talking about Brahma Baba and Shiv Baba.  In those days it was not so easy to understand unless something in the soul was touched.  This soul then decided to go to Abu to find out who the personality was that spoke such strong words.  He was given permission and Baba met him.  After class, he met with Baba and shared how he had realised that when Baba spoke it was with authority but with so much love and he felt it was the truth.

Baba always spoke with a soft, gentle, and loving tone.  If there is anything else in the heart, any anger or ego trying to prove that what we are saying is right, then that comes across. We may say ‘I was only telling the truth’…but the tone is what is heard more by the listener.  So anger or ego will come across and the person will not be able to accept whatever is being stated.  Baba’s attitude, tone, and body language were all with love and there was just the intention to truly just explain what is right and wrong.  Whatever anyone wished to take up they then decided for themselves.  When truth is filled with the power of love it comes across with much humility and the greatness of that personality comes across too.  If I wish to become an instrument to share the truth with others, and definitely this is what Baba wants us to do, it is through the cleansing of the soul.  If I want someone to understand what I am saying in the way I mean it, I need to clean out all other motives. Then it is more likely what I speak will be accepted. This applies to simple interaction, in little things when I want to prove that I am right…notice how it comes across!

Today Baba is telling us about the different types of authority He is giving us.   Firstly the authority of knowledge.  When I first came to Baba this aspect was so incredible. The power and authority of knowledge that came through from the young simple sister who was teaching me, meant whichever way a topic was approached she was able to provide the answers. This power of knowledge was the first authority that I studied.  The next authority was the authority of experience.  It is wonderful having the knowledge of the soul and all the questions regarding spirituality get answered in the first lesson.  But then our own experimentation with soul consciousness becomes such a powerful experience that we then know this is the Truth.  At first, there is a sense of wonder at all our questions being answered and then we experiment and the power of our own experience gives us that authority when we know what is being taught is real.  If we had experimented and nothing had happened how long would we have carried on following the path.  But Baba tells us and we experiment and there is such an amazing feeling we want more and continue.

Step one, the authority of knowledge; step two, the authority of experience.  Then on the basis of understanding and experience, we can say Yes, this is the Truth.  Step three is the authority of truth that we experience and carry with us and we can be instruments to share this.  Whilst there is the beauty of knowledge and answers, others can easily say that we believe it because we have been told it.  But when we experiment with it another cannot question as ‘I know because this is my experience’.  This is why Baba often says the authority of experience is the highest authority.

Let us experiment with everything we hear, from the basic concepts of soul and God to more experiments with practising the virtues and powers that Baba tells us about.  He has told us about contentment, purity, and all so many virtues.  Am I experimenting with each one of these?  Then not only will I absorb this all within the self, I will experience as I experiment.  As this happens not only will it be visible and others will see the transformation; it will bring inner contentment and satisfaction.  I am then filling myself with the treasures that Baba offers at the Confluence Age.  Not only is there not another opportunity in the Kalpa to understand everything that God is teaching, now is the time to fill the self with all attainments from God.  Can I truly say: Yes, I am filling myself with all the virtues God is offering me. What is stopping me?  Not anyone else.  My laziness, not physical, but the reluctance of the intellect to give this detailed attention so I am focused on something deep within and not anything external.  When we have to do something practical and physical it is easy and we get on with it, but if it needs a bit more thought and concentration we procrastinate. When something requires the focus of our intellect we have to really gear ourselves up to do it.  Yet with Baba’s virtues and powers, it is an experiment that is ongoing and can happen with whatever else I need to do.  I don’t have to wait until I am free.  Rather than allowing my intellect to go here and there, as I move along in day to day life I can experiment with my intellect.  It needs this sort of alertness and interest.  Dadi would talk about her ‘hobby’ in English was to understand deeply what Baba means and then to apply what Baba is saying in life.  Ask yourself:  What is it that engages my interest?

When I was 14 or 15 years old,  I would always have a book, a novel,  and I would polish off one a night: three to four hours was all it would take. That was my hobby.  But today can I say my hobby is to go into the depth of the knowledge that Baba is giving me and experiment with this and apply it in life.  Much more interesting than reading a novel!  We discover many things about the self that we really had no idea about.  Even today some have been in gyan 10, 20, 30 or 40 years and it is still a question:  How well do we know ourselves?  And: Do I see myself in the way that Baba sees me?

There are some fortunate souls here who have had personal meetings with Bapdada yet 99% have been in the large gatherings meeting Baba in Madhuban.  We were lucky from abroad as we were seated near the front.  When I was watching the transmission yesterday I noticed how stunning it was in that hall with a gathering of 25,000.  We were always given seats with at most 1,000 in front of me, yet if I looked behind me I would see 24,000 behind me.  When Baba gave drishti we could feel Baba reaching the soul.  Today, whether we sit in front of Baba with our thoughts or on a physical level in Baba’s room we can feel His love reaching us, touching the soul.  Here is Baba offering us the opportunity to take all the treasures.  Can I focus and concentrate on Baba’s drishti and take everything I need?  Can I make it not just an understanding and theory but an experience and carry the authority of that experience through my dharna…whether purity, honesty, humility, responsibility…the list of virtues goes on.  Also with the powers.   Baba said recently that if we have experimented with all the powers then, as a result, that power will be available to us whenever we need.  There then won’t be any ‘I should have, or shouldn’t have’.  Experiencing the powers we will instead capture the awareness and power at the moment of need.

Baba has asked the question in today’s Murli, that people are saying all of this is good, but when will they say it is the truth? This was 1987!  Many people by then had heard about the Brahma Kumaris and a lot of information had got around.  Especially in Bharat people were saying whatever these people are saying is good (even if it did challenge the scriptures!), but they didn’t actually say that this must be the truth, which is a very different step. Reflecting on this, we can tell people this is God’s knowledge and I know it is the truth but what is it that will help another individual accept.  Yes it can be their part in drama too.  There were many times when many were carried away by Dadi’s presence and power but it didn’t mean they carried the feeling that this is the truth, yet they carried away something.  So it is partly what is the recorded within the soul.  But to move from ‘this is good’ people need to see what is demonstrated in our lives.  The authority of our experience needs to be visible.  If I have experienced God’s love, my heart is big and generous and I am able to be an instrument to allow that love to flow and reach another.  If not why not?  It means I haven’t sufficiently experienced that it makes a difference in my state of being and transformation. Then I will need to do more about that.  Baba says first a soul comes into contact, then we need to keep that soul coming closer so they develop a relationship with God and through their own relationship and experience, they then become an instrument to share with others also.

For the self, there is understanding and experiencing knowledge then the reality of the dharna follows and I can say, yes this is the truth.  Truth on its own is very strong; it requires humility and a lot of love and these will make the difference so that people accept.

One story at the Parliament of Religions in Barcelona in early 2000’s, was involving a guru who interviewed Dadi for what was scheduled for a half hour, but ended up an hour and a half!  In which Dad shared the full 7-day course!  I was translating for Dadi and I had to be so detached as I wondered whether the soul was understanding as he was not indicating, although he continued to ask and Dadi continued to answer.  After, I asked him if he understood what Dadi shared, he replied: ‘no, but I could feel this was Dadi’s truth and I know there will be people who want to hear it’.  This was such a lesson for me to stay detached during translation  and not to edit what Dadi was saying…thinking someone wouldn’t understand, but trust it is right for this particular scene in Drama.  Being the instrument to share The Truth is not just repeating words.  If I have experienced it and on this basis, I share what I have understood then the feeling of the space I am coming from will reach another.

Two more aspects Baba talked about today:  How truth and fearlessness go together.  The Sikhs refer to God as the One who is free from fear and animosity.  We can see the connection between these and the truth.  When there is animosity in my heart I am far from truth and it will bring fear. Falsehood is not part of the original state of the soul.  As I am able to clean these things then there will be no fear and the truth of the soul is going to shine. Look deep down inside and see what is going on in terms of feelings.  It is a world with huge fear and animosity and this is why there is fear. To be able to clean all of that out and come back to pure love - the truth of the soul - will make me fearless, strong, and safe.  Truth will then protect me.  Baba also mentions the happiness that emerges with truth.  When there is confusion there won’t be truth.  My happiness doesn’t depend on anyone else; it just depends on my inner state of being, when I have removed everything else.  There is the expression Sat, Chit, Anand: The Truth, The Living Being, and The Embodiment of Bliss (that state where there is no opposite, no contrast, the final state).  Can I maintain a state of happiness, instead of fluctuating from sorrow to joy, pleasure to pain?  Can I move in the direction of the state of bliss that no one else can touch or take away from me?  Today’s Murli is one of those absolute classics and very powerful.

Have a beautiful experience over Christmas experiencing the solitude with Baba instead of the parties and big gatherings this year!

Om Shanti.

Sister Jayanti (London), 6th December – Compassion, kindness, and love...

13 December 2020

Sister Jayanti – 6th December 2020 – from London

Compassion, kindness and love ...

Baba tells us not to look at what others are doing and don’t think about this is their part. I cannot change their part. So, we need to keep respect and good wishes for them; they are deity souls. There were 60 kumaris staying together in Kunj Bhavan in Karachi. Can you imagine 60 young kumaris staying together? Even for 5 sisters to stay together is quite an achievement but Baba was able to take care of 60 sisters. After that, he was able to hold the group of 350 people together with harmony. It’s amazing. So how was this possible? If there was any lack of harmony at any point Mama used to ask if the person was thinking negatively about the deity soul they had worshipped in bhakti. So, if I see a soul in their original state at the start of the cycle then would my relationship with them be like? If that is what I do through the day then when I sit in amrit vela or at any other time to send thoughts to the world then my thoughts will be very powerful. However, if I have had other types of thoughts – why, how, etc. – then I am not building up that stage of power to be able to service the world in the way Baba is asking me to.

Baba has told us to be knowledgeful in our words. Am I repeating ‘third party’ stuff to others? Am I listening to things about others and talking about them myself? If so, I will behave like that with that person. Baba asks us if we see others with thoughts of their past behaviour. According to how we see them we will behave with them in that way and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy – well I knew they would speak like that or I knew they would behave like this… Well, I myself created that vibration so of course, that happened. So, what I need to do is to go back into myself and see if my thoughts are based on truth, or is my imagination taking over, or am I being influenced by what others are saying? I may not know the story of someone with another or what sort of history they have together but I don’t need to know that. I just need to know that I must base my thoughts on the truth that Baba speaks; what is Baba asking of me and can I go back to that? So, I need to base my words on knowledge. Dadi Janki was always Gyan first; she would speak Gyan for 20 minutes and then speak business for 5 minutes. With Gyan, the intellect was kept clean and then the business only took five minutes. She gave very clear guidance and answers. Dadi Prakashmani would use silence, she would hear your story and then give the answer using the power of silence. Both of them were able to deal with business matters very quickly. Dadi Gulzar? Total silence and then maybe two or three words at the end – just the direction you need to go in. So, all three used knowledge through the power of silence. Then whatever is said is going to be the right thing at the right moment, in the right way with the right tone. Sometimes what we say is right but it’s not in the right tone – it may not be respectful. So first I need to go within and then say whatever I need to with respect. So, check; is it imagination, is it influence, or is it true?

Then Baba spoke about actions; are my actions expressing the love that Baba wants me to feel and share? Powerful, knowledgeful, loveful. In terms of actions, how do I express love? To be able to express kindness; to have care and concern for another. To be able to put myself in their shoes and ask; what do I need to do here? So, kindness and compassion – these are the expressions of being loveful. To what extent am I self-centered and concerned about my own comfort? Or am I truly concerned about serving others with love, kindness, and compassion? Am I willing to give up my comfort and time to serve another? Whatever was the need, Dadiji and Dadi Janki would not look at the time but would just give and give and give… They would not think of their own physical needs but would meet whoever would come. This is kindness. This is love. This is compassion.

Today Baba is asking us if we have anyone we remember before Baba. If we remember someone other than Baba first and they are my number one then how can I expect to be Baba’s number one? So, check; is Baba number one for me? The one I connect with at all times… Or do others come in the way? Even if it is circumstances that get in between me and Baba then how will the circumstances change. If I remember Baba first then the circumstances will change and amazing things can happen. So, check the line of your remembrance. Is it straight and clear or is it crooked or even broken? Then the second thing is purity; purity is not just celibacy. Bramacharaya: following in the footsteps of Brahma. This is not just celibacy… Following in the footsteps of my teacher… We know Brahma Baba’s life story. Did you know the original building which existed when they got Pandav Bhavan was stables? Baba lived there and Mama lived there. It was bitterly cold. Baba stayed in the old building even when History Hall and other buildings had been constructed. The walls were very thin but Baba said that the new buildings were for the children. Baba was in his 80’s by then… He did not accept anything for himself. He would always say that Shiv Baba was telling us everything. He was drawing everyone’s attention away from himself – the chariot – to the One. Even Shiv Baba said yesterday that He doesn’t do anything but it is His part in drama. Of course, most human beings want recognition when they do something. They want thanks and respect. So, am I following in the footsteps of Brahma the father and the teacher? So purity to that extent…

The third subject is service. Baba used the word altruistic – no concern for return. No intention of doing something for any type of return – for what I can receive… To know that the opportunity came because of Baba. The gifts that I have been blessed with in order to do that service are because of Baba. To be able to share whatever I have, skills, talents, experience… whatever. It’s a gift I have so can I use it to serve others without any expectation whatsoever. We know there will be the return… there will be happiness today because I have done what needed to be done but I also know that the destiny of that was fixed in the drama and there will be a return. So, what gets in the way of being altruistic?

My desires create all sorts of intentions that are not clean. Baba spoke of that state of absolute cleanliness but our desires get in the way of that and that is when things become unclear and unclean. So, what will be the outcome of that service? Where do obstacles come in service? The game of sanskaras. If because of sanskaras I say that I will escape into solitude and just do meditation then ok but what happens to my destiny? Baba once gave a message which said that when we are playing a game sometimes the bat hits the ball but sometimes the ball hits your ankles. However, you don’t’ stop playing the game because the ball hits you. If the ball hits your ankles and you keep playing it reveals how resilient you are. In the same way, don’t worry in service when the ball hits your legs. Just keep on playing… work together…

Today Baba has told us to make our stage like Shiv Baba’s but our life like Brahma Baba’s. This is a very powerful homework for all of us…

Om Shanti

Sister Jayanti –30th November –  Question and Answer

6 December 2020

Q:      Recently Baba said that we have to salvage those who are now in the depths of hell.    We need to have mercy.   So how do we cultivate that feeling of mercy so that it becomes natural and we are able to maintain that level of service during the day while performing our duties?

A:      When I think about how much mercy Baba and the Dadis have had for me in which they have really forgotten my mistakes and they have given me whatever instructions I needed and helped me move forward, I think now surely it’s my turn to have the same attitude of mercy for others.

In the Brahmin family irritations get in the way of our interactions with each other and Baba’s murli reminds us that there is a lot of suffering in the world which we are not always aware of and there is something we can do about it.  We don’t have to be helpless.  We know that vibrations work.  We have had stories in the last few weeks about how vibrations reached someone - good wishes helped them. There is that feeling of mercy. Baba asked us not long ago to dedicate a few minutes of our time in yoga to people we don’t know across the world.  People I know I am having mercy for but I can do that for those I don’t know.

There was a lovely suggestion just last week that instead of 2 minutes for Traffic Control can we increase that time of Traffic Control  and that would then mean that some of the time I am stabilising myself and some of the times I am serving the world.  I haven’t increased my Traffic Control time but that is a possibility.

Q:     You mentioned good wishes.  Baba said let there be no disagreements with each other during service. So if you pay attention to this but then bad feelings are still created, what stops the good wishes that are being created from working and in the BK context, do we think that the other bk is going through their stuff?  How do we finish being affected by the behaviour that happens in our interactions and how to make good wishes work?

A:      If I am getting tired of sending good wishes and say that it is not working let me turn the spotlight here and ask myself if I have been able to make all the changes I have wanted to do for myself and if I haven’t had enough yoga power to become satopradhan yet and I haven’t and none of us have, and it is going to take me time and everyone else time and so my good wishes are really to keep my heart very clean and then it is their effort and their connection with Baba that is going to help them change. I can’t make them change.  So can I open up my heart and be generous hearted enough to accept them as they are without expecting them to change.  I can give them good wishes and that is important but it is for me rather than for them because if I am carrying any other feelings in my heart I will feel heavy and I will not be able to feel that closeness with Baba and love from Baba and so it is an interference for me if I have bad wishes or not good feelings, so it is important for me to have good wishes in my heart for my sake and yes I am sending those good wishes out but I cannot expect someone else to change until the point when I have had enough yoga power to change myself.

Q:  I remember someone sharing a story about Dadi Janki and they said there was one particular soul there were many complaints about at one centre and for 15 years Dadi just had good wishes and a very powerful vision for that individual and eventually that soul after all that positive energy, changed, and so is there anyone you have had good vision for for many years and there was a positive outcome?.

A:  I am thinking of Rajniben and my father, Murli Dada.  She came into gyan in1976 and he came into gyan in 1980. For 23 years she had nothing but good wishes for that soul for that whole period and she was helped because Dadi Janki had a lot of good wishes for that soul also but at some point I would have thought he is never going to change.  He is the way he is and that is ok because he was always very co-operative but to actually to become a brahmin?  For the first few years I found it difficult to believe.  I would have a few conversations with him and then I would be convinced.   So yes it does work.

Q     Where do you see the family at present in regard to being merciful in general with each other during the month of seva for the world?

A:     I think we all have that quality of mercy but for the majority we forget that from time to time because we get irritated and if there is even a little irritation or if my ego gets in the way and I think: “But I am right, why don’t they understand” this leads to irritation but also it is the ego that is coming in and so the more I deal with my ego on all the subtle levels and I get rid of it to that extent, I am going to be able to have real compassion for others.

Q:     There was a beautiful murli during the week where Baba said: “past is past and don’t look back.  Why are you looking back?   You have left the shore”. We react to each other’s sanskars and this is like looking back and there are many examples.   You did say ego, and it is definitely there, but I feel there is still a lot of fear around our own sanskars and the sanskars of others and so what subtle efforts do we need to make to stop the fear of our reactions.  Sometimes we have fear of how we are going to respond in certain situations?

A:     I think there are a few separate questions.  One is fear of our own sanskars and the other is looking back.

We have got into so many different habits that we don’t always realise that looking back is one of our habits and I think that if I really want to get rid of this habit I have to learn to put a full stop and really train my mind not to look back and to go there but to say it is finished, it is done, can I move on and I think that because paying attention to soul consciousness is subtle and we don’t give it enough attention, so that slips away and as I have often said, if you really were to every hour on the hour write for yourself to what extent you have been able to be soul conscious,  I think it would be a surprise because we are not very soul conscious and this is why Baba has to tell us 10 times in the murli, every day and we are still not soul conscious.  So I think that body consciousness and that habit of looking to the past.  If I am not soul conscious how can I be aware of giving attention to the quality of my thinking and so my thoughts go back to the past and before I know it, the whole history has emerged. If I could catch it before it runs, then I can change it, but I don’t catch it.

Then the other thinkg - we are afraid of our own sanskars and reactions and I think that is also because we have not spent enough time in being able to clean our sanskars.  One is through tapasya and the other is to manage my sanskars where I am not allowing reactions to happen and so if I am checking before I speak or even think before I think; If I can check the quality of my thoughts before I react, I think I could start changing my reactions - managing my sanskars, and then at least I am not adding more karma on to myself. Otherwise it is not just settling but settling and adding, and that is why it is taking so long.  If we were all just settling and moving forward we would all be karmateet very quickly but we are settling but also reacting also reacting so the reactions are adding up all the time.  So I have to stop reacting so it is not then more addition. Then I can start working and finishing.

Q:     You shared about increasing our practise of soul consciousness.   Maybe to go back to basics - What is it we do then because when you are in meditation you can have the experience of being bodiless in that sense.  But when you are engaged like right now, how many of us are really soul conscious right now in this moment?   So to break it down step by step - How do we make it natural?  So that we are all sitting here having a conversation, listening, how do we become aware of the dot and not this person is here and that one there?

A:     It is practise.  Because we are talking about it, it is much easier of course but it is a feeling, a subtle consciousness that I am here and that I am operating from there rather than here because very often we are just listening and then reacting or seeing and reacting.  Can I be here and just let that do the work?   That subtle feeling that I am here is a very different stage to sitting in yoga and being detached from the body.  I think it is this that is missing.  When we sit for yoga we become aware of the steps we need to take and what we need to do.  We know that feeling that we are now soul conscious and detached from the body and can connect with Baba.

I remember being very struck that Baba said if you want to pass with honour just be soul conscious and I thought to myself this is easy.  It sounds easy and in a way it is easy but we don’t manage to do it and it makes total sense that the difference between Iron Age and Golden Age is that the deities are totally soul conscious and that is the effort we have to make today.

Q:     In the slogan yesterday Baba said surrender even your thoughts and all your weaknesses will automatically go away.  Can you explain a bit more and also how do we surrender our thoughts?  And someone has asked:  If I always say” haji” to Baba can I say I am surrendered to Baba?

A:     If truly I am saying “haji” to Baba all the time that means my mind is also surrendered to Baba and haji to Baba with my mind means that my mind is connected with Baba because that is the whole story of King Janak and I think most people on webcast know this story but the crux of the story is that this crippled man said to the king:   I can teach you how to have jeevanmukti.   To be here and fulfil your responsibilites and still be liberated and he said he would do whatever the crippled man told him to do because this is really what he wanted.  He was taken to the courtyard by the crippled person who says to the king: now I want you to go to the furthest point in your kingdom.   And so, as was his habit, the king pulled his horse across and was about to get on it and ride off.  The crippled man stops him and said:  you surrendered everything you had so how can you take hold of this horse without my permission.   And that was the point.  That if I have surrendered everything to Baba it is first with my mind that I have to surrender and I can’t use my mind without Baba’s permission and can I do that?  That is surrender.  To use my mind in the way that Baba wants me to use it.

Yesterday Baba said: Surrender your mind to Baba.  That is it.  What other weaknesses do I have?  My ego, my anger.  Everything gets dealt with in this. Baba is putting it in a simple way but it is not easy to achieve, and this the reality.  This is what Baba is asking of me.  Just surrender my thoughts, surrender my mind and if my thoughts are obedient to Baba then what is the quality of my thinking.  It is exactly as Baba wants it to be.  I am constantly spinning the cycle, I am constantly in the stage of swardarshanchakradhari awareness, of the third eye open and aware of being the master of the three worlds. It is the way Baba wants it to be.  So where are the weaknesses?  They don’t exist.

Q:     Someone asked: How can we detach our mind and intellect from service in such a way that it doesn’t come into our thinking and influence our relationships or dreams?  The result is that we keep thinking of service even in yoga and then our connection with Baba is compromised.  It is good to think of service if I am planning something but why do we over think, almost.  What is happening there?

A:     We are so used to thinking about everything we need to do, and overthinking about it.  It carries on in BK life when we come to Baba and then it comes into our yoga and that is when we realise that it has taken over because when we want to have yoga instead of being able to take what I need from Baba and then my mind is able to actually serve through vibrations if my yoga is of that quality that I am simply receiving from Baba and the next step sending out those vibrations everywhere then service and yoga are not separate but it is service happening with the power of yoga.  Those vibrations reaching out and to get to that stage I have to learn to be detached from everything.

I have a service project and it is for Baba and if I am keeping Baba in mind then that service project is going to be that much more powerful and effective but if as my habit was before and I am just thinking about it all the time it is not going to be as successful as it  would be able to be otherwise.  I think we don’t put a compartment to service and so it is there buzzing around and what should be buzzing around in my head is gyan rather than service.

We talk about waste thoughts and people think service is service - it is good,  it is not waste, but if I need to focus on service let me first keep my mind very clean and clear and then let me give my attention to whatever is service and within that space of time get things sorted out and then full stop.  And then again let me connect with Baba and do whatever I need to do next, but service takes over everything and then there is no time left to think about gyan and this is a complaint that everyone has.  I don’t have time to churn.   But we had an amazing example with Dadi. She was just churning gyan all the time and the service would appear in front of her and she would do the service because she had the creativity of gyan.  Whatever she was doing you would ask her the same question and she would have a different answer each time and it wasn’t that one answer was right and one answer was wrong it was that she was looking at it from so many different perspectives.

There is an expression that comes up in the avyakt murlis and it is something like:  have a plain intellect and then make your plans.  A clean sheet, and then it is just Baba rather than populated with service and people.  Service is so much in the context of other people rather than just me alone that when I start thinking about service inevitably I will start thinking about people and you can see how my mind gets so far away from Baba in yoga and it is probably got caught up with people and thinking about their sanskars and how my relationship with them can work out and Baba is left behind somewhere very far away and I have really got caught up with humans again.  We don’t realise that the power for service is going to come only if I have that connection with Baba absolutely clean and clear and if I don’t this is where service becomes a mess and complicated with people and sanskars and clashes and all of that.  But if there is real yoga - no clash.  Never mind even good wishes for anyone else but simply the power of yoga means I will have the capacity to adjust rather than expecting them to adjust with me. I will have the power to be able to adjust.

Q:     Question from a new student about family life:  how do we balance family life with purity especially if the husband is not in Baba’s knowledge and does not understand the need for celibacy?  What are the qualities that we need to develop in us and what sort of yoga do we need to have with Baba that will help in this situation?

A:     Family life.  Rajniben was 25 years old when she came to Baba and my father had been away from India for a few years and he came back and she was a Brahmin and because of love and respect for each other he accepted that there should be celibacy;  so I have seen it happen. Probably one of the reasons that he decided to bring the family to London was that the nearest centre would be 5,000 miles away.  So the only sustenance she had was murli and her yoga and of course Baba’s love carried her through whatever were the challenges.

What I have found is that if there isn’t love and respect in a relationship then it goes through rocks when it comes to the subject of purity but if there is a strong foundation of love and respect there isn’t a problem and usually it is also possible to say can we try it for a few months and see how that works.

In other families that I have seen in all these years it is still the same, where there is love and respect it carries on and usually if a relationship breaks down it is not because of celibacy but because there hasn’t been that solid foundation of that respect and love.

So my answer to this person is that Baba is not saying don’t have love but if there is yoga then that yoga power will help the person themselves but also it will create the right atmosphere at home that can give support to this.  Amrit vela is very, very important.  It was her attention on amrit vela that gave her that power.

Q:     A few questions about religious soul:  Why is Judaism never mentioned in the murlis?   Baba says all the religious souls, Jesus, Abraham and Buddha will come and know God so does it mean that they will come in heaven?   I am asking this because Baba says that any soul that recognises me comes to heaven.  So will you clarify this?

A:     My understanding from Baba’s murli is that these souls will come to Baba and recognise God and the role of Brahma Baba and they will have that love and respect for Brahma Baba and for what he has done but they don’t want to come to heaven.    They want to be able to take that power from God and then their own calling will be to share their particular message with people from that branch of the Tree.  It is not only that drama is fixed by itself.   It is very connected with what is in my heart and so it is the seed and the tree and which comes first but it is connected.  If my deep desire is to come to heaven then my recognition of Baba will bring me to heaven but where I think more important than heaven is a place of peace, a place of silence and also just to share that message of God and that God is love - Christ’s message - I think this is what will then determine their role.

No one plays a role without having that calling and that connection with what is in the soul itself.   Baba had a vision of Vishnu, Narayan.  It was his calling.  This is what I want to be and when we see a picture of Narayan and we say ok -  interesting.  But we don’t feel the connection from the heart with that image it is very unlikely that I will be Narayan  but if there are other things of satyug that I love then it is a sign that that soul is of that particular era and every soul is connected with Baba  to a certain extent,  but I feel these souls are connected with God very deeply and they take a lot of power from God and they then are able to come with that power of purity to establish their own religion.

Q:    When they meet God before they go back, in that way, would they realise that they are the Christ soul, that they are the seed of that religion?

A:     I don’t think they would see it in that way.  I think they would feel a very powerful love for God and know that this is the relationship they had been seeking because through their bhakti they would also have been seeking that relationship.

Yesterday was Guru Nanak’s birthday and that soul had so much love for God.  And 550 years is a short time ago compared to other traditions.   This soul had such deep love for God and he gave such a clear message of the introduction of God and because that message was more recent it didn’t get corrupted.  By then the printing press was there and so the message has remained quite clear and so I am sure that that soul coming to Baba would feel that sense of fulfilment that this is who I have been searching for for so many years and that connection would be of deep love but not this is who I am going to be.

Q:     Would the meeting have that happened already?

A:     Certainly for the Christ soul I feel that one has met Baba and I haven’t thought about the others so deeply.  Everyone has been looking out for the Christ soul and I don t think we can say who it is.  The only guarantee we have is Baba and Mama.   We don’t even know who the second Lakshmi and Narayan are for sure and so we don’t know for any other soul what their role in the drama is.

I am sure that that soul will have had that opportunity to meet Baba in the sakar.  Avyakt Bapdada at least maybe not sakar.

The Judaism story, Maureen and I were with Dadi Gulzar in Israel and it is always a sticky issue for Jews when they come to Baba: how come Baba doesn’t mention us, and so we knew that this question was going to come up and we had a long wait at the airport and so we asked Dadi Gulzar that question and it was very difficult for Dadi.  She knows the Hindi word for Jew and we hoped that  either from her memory of times with sakar Baba or a question to Avyakt Bapdada maybe in the subtle region and my hope was that if she couldn’t answer us she could carry the question to Baba and bring back an answer and it didn’t happen and so that question never got sorted out there.

A few days ago this question was put to me. I don’t think that Dada Lekraj grew up with the awareness of Judaism because I don’t think there were any Jews at that time in Sindh.  There were Jews in Calcutta and Bombay and Dada Lekraj was in both places.

But I began to think of how in the sakar murli you have Shiv Baba and Shiv Baba giving very clear information about who is God, what He does, how He comes what He comes to do and it is very direct language.  “I” is said, it is not in the third person.  Two days ago in the murli there is a whole passage of “I “and it is God speaking to us very directly and then there are other things Baba talks about the cycle and the soul and also that information was information that Brahma Baba had.  Baba says: I tell him the story of his 84 births. He didn’t know it.  The murl is Shiv Baba and also Brahma Baba.  Brahma Baba shares a lot of his experience and in many cases he is saying that this was my experience, especially of going to temples, going to Amaranath and things but there are a lot of other things too which are very much to do the Hindu culture and again I think that this is more Brahma Baba rather than Shiv Baba.  I don’t think it is very useful to go through the murli and say line by line this is Brahma Baba and this is Shiv Baba.  It would jumble your head and not so useful but I do think it is Bapdada speaking the murli and sometimes Baba says in the murli do you think it is only Shiv Baba speaking?  This one has also studied so much and knows so much.  You can give gyan can Brahma Baba not also give gyan?

So we know they are together.  That picture of the tree came through trance but I don’t think that the detail for the writing would have come through trance which is why in the murli Baba is correcting the picture, telling us what to write on the picture. So here is Brahma Baba churning and reflecting and then sharing and so that picture of the tree definitely didn’t come from Brahma baba’s  head it came from Shiv Baba but I think some of that detail would have come maybe from Brahma Baba and so I think this is where instead of Judaism there is Abraham and then of course Abraham is the founder of all three not just one but the word Islam is then put there after Christ and the next branch is Mohamed and the muslims and so you can see there is something missing there and this is why I say, and I don’t think this is blasphemy, but it it’s the way in which it begins to make sense to me.

Q:     The qualities of the soul are peace, love, happiness and purity.  Also, peace is the religion of the soul.  Baba says we get an inheritance of peace and happiness from the Father.  Is it that the treasure of peace in the soul gets drained and so it is the inheritance of peace that fills the soul again.  It is our religion so why does it need to be?

A:        It is both things, the qualities of the soul, peace, love, truth, purity and joy, the 5 qualities are there in the soul but at the end of kalyug everything has been so merged with everything else that we don’t have a moment of peace and certainly there is no truth and we are seeing it more and more in the world outside.

Everyone is so aware of fake news.  We hear or see something and ask if it is for real and someone has to check to see whether it is or not and for the soul itself it is so difficult to know where is truth, what is truth so it is my connection with Baba that allows that cleansing to happen in which peace, love, truth, joy and purity again become natural for me.

Where did it come from?   It came from God but it also triggered what was there in the soul but if it had not have come to me from God it would still have been buried under a heap of other stuff.  Yes my inheritance from Baba is there but it needs God’s love to trigger it and emerge it again.

Connected with that, one time Waddy was walking with Dadi Janki in oxford.   Waddy is not a Hindi speaker and Dadi understands quite a lot of English and speaks some English but they would have profound conversations and after this particular conversation Waddy came back to share what had happened.

She had said to Dadi: you came to Baba with a lot of good qualities already there because she knew of Dadi’s compassion and love for people and from childhood Dadi had been doing service in one form or another and also her love for God.

Dadi said that it wasn’t her quality, it was from Baba.  Waddy said: but you had these qualities already and this is why Baba found you and made you belong to Him.  Dadi said no and explained that the things that she had taken from Baba last kalpa were so powerful that they stayed with her through the whole cycle and were still there at the end of the cycle and so she could still say it was not her qualities, it was from Baba.

So it is the original state of the soul in the Confluence Age and Baba comes and give us everything.    Have you taken such a stock of happiness from Baba that it is going to stay with you through the whole cycle and if not you going to come on later on in the cycle.  So that answer from Dadi on one level it is her humility which is coming from the fact that she has recognised that on my own I would not be able to have this but it had come from Baba and stayed right to the end of the kalpa.

A long time ago I asked Dadi:  how do you know that this is a deity soul.  Are there certain qualities by the end of kalyug where a soul comes and you can say that this is probably a deity soul because how many souls have purity at the end of the Iron Age.  Even Brahmin souls; so it is something you develop.  She said compassion.  When the soul has compassion now even before knowing Baba then you know that this is the sign of a deity soul and this has always stayed with me.

Q:      In a recent avyakt murli  Baba spoke of the last effort and He said each one of us has a sanskar of body consciousness which is getting in the way - referred to as nature.  One of those vices is predominant in us.  How can we begin to identify that one sanskar and all its traces so that we can be commited to imbibe Baba’s sanskars and help the family too?   Is it that some have more anger than others and others have more ego?  Is this how it works?

A:     Usually there is one particular aspect that I need to be dealing with and if I pay attention to that because I have been able to manage most of the other things but there is something there still and I need to be able to identify it and Baba’s point is always be so soul conscious so that you can truly be a detached observer for yourself.  You know this expression detached observer; so detached but observer of myself so that I can see what it is that is a block that is not allowing me to move forward to take what I need from Baba and to be able to settle everything from the past and I think that state of detachment and in detachment being able to observe myself and I will be able to find what that is.

That in itself is such a big thing.   In what way am I still not fully detached from this identity because the detachment is firstly just this and so why is it that I am not soul conscious enough, detached enough to be able to see?   Again it gives you an idea that although we think we are practicing soul consciousness there is just not enough time given to that and then we don’t see our blind spots.  It means that I have to practise more and more deep soul consciousness to be so detached that I can observe myself and see what is happening.

Q:     That must be the one we are most scared off because it is so deep?

A:      I think what I am most scared of is seeing something that I see recurring in me because I try to deal with it and it keeps coming back and the roots must be so deep, and that is the fear I have that I am trying to deal with it and I am not dealing with it very well and it keeps coming back again and again and I think the fear is that.

The other is such a blind spot that I am not afraid of it because I have not identified it and I need to do that.  One is powerful yoga to eradicate what keeps occurring and the other is detachment so I can see.

I think the one that Baba is talking about is a blind spot - something that is just not visible to me.  Others are seeing it and it is connected with ego because it is always ego that is invisible.

Q:     Next year we will be celebrating 50 years of service in the UK.  Golden Jubilee.  There is so much expansion and growth that has happened in those years and so what would you like to see happen in say the next 3 years.  Today Baba spoke of the power of unity in relationships and so is this part of your vision that we will become one family?

A:     I think that is the vision.  I think it is difficult to know about 3 years’ time because even one year is not so easy at the moment.  People ask if there will be a Madhuban season and I don’t know and I don’t think anyone else knows either.  You can guess but no one really knows.

To have love and harmony in the family is the vision and I see that that is how Baba will be revealed because people will see the love of the family and they are going to say it must be God’s work because you don’t find a combination of all cultures and all races in many places.  You go to a church and you find a certain group of people, you go to a temple, a mosque, and you find a few but you won’t see a real mix of people anywhere except in Baba’s home and I think this is very fascinating for people. They wonder how is it happening, how is it working?  It is Baba and it is true.

People come to Madhuban and see in Gyan Serovar a combination of everyone - it is stunning, and I think that although it is here and it is not just the division of language or culture but even within the same culture and language it is rubbing off each other and if we all change into sandalwood then every time we rub against each other there will be fragrance.  There will not be sparks that fly.  So I have to become fragrant sandalwood and you will also have to become the same.  Then it is ok if we rub against each other, it will be fine.  Yes, that is the transformation and when this family is truly a united family and you can see Satyug here then you know that Satyug is not so far away and Baba’s revelation will have happened.

Avyakt Signals for December 2020

6 December 2020

Dear Divine Family, and Double foreign brothers and sisters in the Brahmin family,

Greetings of love from Madhuban. To support you in these times, we are continuing to send you avyakt signals as they become available. In this message, we are encouraged again to pay attention to cultivating silence and spreading a wave of silence.

In Baba's sweet yaad,

BK Dr. Nirmala,

On behalf of the RCs

Avyakt Signals - 3 December 2020

(Message from Bapdada for the month of December via Sister Vedanti, Nairobi)

BapDada is always in silence. Even BapDada’s chariot, though still in the world, has been in silence for a long time. Whatever is happening to the body of child Gulzar, the soul is doing powerful service. Now it is good for the children to reduce the programmes and to take the whole Brahmin family into silence, silence from talking, and silence of the mind. Spread this wave.

When it’s necessary to speak, speak less, speak sweetly and softly. Make this lesson firm.

Do not give importance to problems; do not discuss them.  Become a point and give sakash to the problem, and everything will be all right. Stay more in the silence of speech. Stay more in the silence of the mind and maintain a direct connection with the Father.

You are the ones to distribute the treasures received from God. Take as much as you can and distribute what you have with an open heart. Now only this task is left. Spread the wave of silence everywhere.

BapDada wants each child to become responsible and start the work immediately through which there will be benefit for the self and the world. Especially celebrate the month of December as the month of “Silence of the mind and silence of speech”. This is what BapDada wants.
