Sister Mari of Seattle, USA has flown to Baba

On another occasion, she went to Peace Village, and came back with the following: "As I was walking around the lake in PV, this idea came to me. Since then, whenever I see someone, I first introduce them to Baba as though Baba were standing right next to me". This naturally gave her a more soul conscious attitude, but also strengthened her relationship with Baba.

In this way, Mari was a constant purusharthi, paying a lot of attention to her spiritual progress based on Baba's shrimat.

Mari was always loving, caring, easy natured and generous hearted. She served every soul that she came across and has earned the special love of all the members of Baba's family.

Sister Mari had unshakable faith in Baba and a very deep love for Baba, Baba’s family and Baba’s yagya that made her cross many obstacles with ease!

A memorial service honoring Mari's life will be held in Seattle on Friday June 25 from 5.30pm-7.00pm (PDT).

Sr Carol Gill from Manhattan, New York, flew to Baba

Dear Family:

 

Om Shanti. 

 

Sister Carol Gill from the Manhattan Center in New York flew to Baba this morning, Monday, June 14 at 3:15 am.

 

Carol came to Baba in 1991 during the time she was pursuing her Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Psychology at Columbia University, Teachers College.

 

Carol was a very private and introverted person.  She applied herself 100%, all the time to everything she did.  When anyone complimented Carol, she always credited whatever positive attribute or virtue to Baba.  She was really a humble instrument. 

 

Over the years, as a Brahmin, Carol worked diligently on self-efforts and world seva.  She helped in a number of international projects.  Just to cite a few:

 

Carol facilitated the first meeting of the Living Values:  An Educational Initiative, when the Brahma Kumaris were invited by UNICEF to develop a program on education.  She continued in the development of the program and managed the piloting of the Living Values Initiative with global educators around the world.

 

Carol was also the main editor of “The Story of Immortality: Return to Self-Sovereignty.”  A book that she referred to as her ‘baby.’

 

Carol’s ‘Standard of Excellence’ was impeccable.   She set the highest of standards for herself and wanted everything to be of the best possible quality.  Yet, she had an incredible innocence about her.  She noticed everything, even the smallest of details, and that made her an outstanding effort-maker.   She was a terrific friend, a great listener, and a compassionate sister.  She always offered a helping hand whenever she could. She was funny, light-hearted, and honest.  She was soft, sensitive, and lovely.

 

Her ‘sweet spot’ was Pandav Bhawan, Madhuban.  Carol had tremendous love of Baba, the family, and the yagya.  She has gone on to her next experience in God’s task of establishment and her sweetness, goodness, and authenticity has left quite a large space in our hearts.

 

Starting today, June 14th, every evening until June 26th, we will have special meditation from 6-6.30pm.

 

A memorial service honoring Carol’s life will be held at the Manhattan Meditation Center on Saturday, June 26th from 4-6pm.

With heavy heart, we would like to inform you that Brother HCS Dhody Ji (Yugal of BK Nita Bhen) who served as Ambassador of India to Jordan and other countries left his body on 9th May 2021 after fighting with corona. Brother Dhody Ji was a very kind soul and was associated with our Brahma Kumaris organization for more than 20 years. During his early times, he helped in many services in India & abroad.

 

To pay homage to the soul, a prayer session has been organized online (via Zoom) on Sunday, 16th May from 04:30 pm onwards.

We regret to inform you that Baba’s Most Loving Right Hand, Treasurer of this Divine Yagya Dadi Ishuji -- presently Addl. Spiritual Head of Brahma Kumaris -- has left her mortal coil today on 6th May 2021 at 8.05 PM in Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad. 

 

Dadiji's chariot is being brought to Shantivan, Abu Road. The body will be kept in her room at Vishwa Kalyani Bhawan for some time, as you are all aware that the COVID-19 Pandemic situation is very critical in our country and also in Rajasthan. Also, a curfew has already been imposed in Rajasthan by the state government. There are several protocols of the COVID-19 which don't permit more than 5 members at the cremation. 

 

Therefore, we humbly request all of you to not come rushing to Abu Road. However, you can get the darshan of Dadiji online on YouTube wherein we shall be telecasting the Final Rites Ceremony of Ishu Dadiji. 

 

The funeral will take place at Muktidham Crematory between 9.00 am to 10.00 am. We have received directions from the State Government of Rajasthan to strictly follow all the protocols of COVID-19 otherwise they shall put FIR on the individuals who are found breaking it.

 

Once again we shall all together give our loving tributes to revered Dadiji from our respective places.

Ishu Dadi was one of the original jewels of the Yagya from the days of Pakistan. Her spiritual life started from a young age, and she was among the children from the Sindhi community who came to Baba in the early 30’s.

 

Ishu Dadi had deep, internal honesty and was super clean. Her honesty, cleanliness, and maturity won the trust of Brahma Baba and Mama.

Due to her introverted nature and her high level of confidentiality, she served as Baba’s personal assistant and helped him with the daily posts he would receive from the children. She had access to the content of the letters received and sent, yet never uttered a word to anyone about what she saw and what she knew. It was as if everything was completely wiped from her memory, and she remained clean and pure.

 

Ishu Dadi’s role in the yagya was being the first ’treasurer,’ a role that continued during the leadership of Didiji, Dadiji, and Dadi Janki. She valued every penny that was given to the yagya and treated it as spiritual currency that required an elevated accountability in terms of Baba’s shrimat. As treasurer, she was so accurate that her presence made it easy for Baba and the Dadis to be carefree.  Her incognito presence was a powerful core to upholding the integrity of yagya principles and disciplines.

 

Entering Brahma Baba’s office and seeing Ishu Dadi sitting at the desk, we saw her radiance of being raazyukt and yogyukt. She would acknowledge us with her pure and innocent drishti; and she would smile and wait for us to speak. Being in her presence, gave us the assurance that everything was being used in a worthwhile way. There was less expenditure and more splendor. There was purity in every drop that was accumulated in Baba’s Bhandara.

 

Bapdada has set an elevated bar in Ishu Dadi for us to understand and become; an elevated bar of honesty, cleanliness, humility, and accountability.

 

She served as a way of being and not of speaking. Her silence spoke louder than words.

Kanu Priya, Anchor for numerous Awakening with Brahma Kumaris episodes with Sister Shivani, has died

Actress Kanu Priya from Noida, UP passed away on 30th April 2021 at the age of 52 due to Covid-19 complications.

 

She had performed in over 80 serials and 50 telefilms, including Meri Kahani, Bhanwar, Kahi Aek Gaon and Kartavya. She also hosted shows on Doordarshan and Aastha channel, but is best know for hosting the daily television show "Awakening with Brahma Kumaris."  Her own show, 'Karmbhoomi', focused on creating young leaders who could inspire their generation to act responsibly for the greater good. Sister Shivani shared the news of her passing on social media:

Kanupriya is a pure soul, caring, compassionate, selfless...always a giver. She lived for a higher purpose...to create a beautiful world...and we know that even though the costume will change...she will always be God's angel, whose every life will be surrendered to His will and His task of creating The New Age.

News of Passing Away of Naginbhai Patel of London, UK

25 April 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

 

Naginbhai was born in Baleshwar (Gujarat), India, on 3 May 1930. He left India in August 1947 to join his father’s business in Uganda. He returned to India in April 1970 with his wife Hasmukhben, sons Haresh, Nayan and daughter Kalpana. They all finally settled in London in 1974 and the entire family came to gyan in March 1983.

 

The London and UK BK family was relatively small in numbers at that time and Naginbhai found it very easy to become part of the family. Dadi Janki, Sister Jayanti and Sr Jaymini visited his flat to bless the Bhandara, and many UK brothers would stay at his place when bigger BK events were held in London. The flat fortuitously was only a short distance from GCH and Naginbhai saw this as a special gift from Baba to pursue spiritual studies more easily. Dadi Janki bestowed him the ‘first’ seat in the bother’s section of the auditorium as he was always on time for the class to listen to the Murli. He had major cardiac surgery in 1992 and with Baba’s blessing and family’s good wishes recovered in three weeks to return to the class where Dadi welcomed him.

 

Dadi Gulzar inaugurated the family’s new house in Wembley followed later by visits by Mohiniben, Lachubhen, Amirchandbhai, Atambhai and Ramnathbhai and many other senior brothers and sisters, which brought Naginbhai and his family closer to Baba and the divine family.

 

More recently his health was poor but he never missed listening to the daily Murli online from London and Madhuban. He flew to Baba’s lap on Tuesday, 20 April 2021 in the afternoon. The final farewell will take place on Monday, 26 April 2021.

News of Passing Away of Parvatibhen from Peterborough, UK

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

BK Parvatiben Patel of Peterborough flew into Baba's lap on Tuesday the 20th of April at 9.20 am. She had been ill for some time and was confined to bed for the last couple of months. 

 

Parvatiben was born on the 8th of May 1930 in the town of Karadi in Gujarat and was a native of Sultanpur. At the young age of 14 she participated in India's freedom struggle and took part in the Dandi Kutch (Salt March) organised by Mahatma Gandhi. As a result she was imprisoned for a few months. In 1997 her contribution to the struggle was recognised by the Government of India and she was honoured with a gold medal. 

 

Parvatiben and her husband Dinbandhubahi Patel moved to Zambia in 1960 and set up their own business. They moved to Peterborough, UK, in 1976. They both became BK students in 1991 along with their daughter Nainaben. In 1992, with Dadi Janki's inspiration, they started a Geeta Pathshala and supported Baba's Yagya with a true heart. Her husband, Dinbandhubahi, flew into Baba's lap in 2004. 

 

Parvatiben enjoyed serving Brahmins and others with Brahma Bhojan and tolis with a lot of love and enthusiasm. She was always smiling and sharing her happiness with everyone. Dadi Janki once said that "Ye sacchi dilwali Hai" (She is the one with a true heart). In 2013, due to new rules and requirements and with the inspiration of Sr Jayanti and Sr Jaymini the premises for service moved out of her home to an independent place under the name of "Peterborough Inner Space". She continued generously to support the Yagya until recently. Whoever visited her would always find her with the Murli in her hand or nearby. Even on the day of the departure of the soul she listened to Murli and five minutes later the soul flew away.

 

She left behind a family of 5 daughters namely: Gitaben (USA), Kusumben (Canada), Sudhaben (USA), Nainaben (Peterborough), and Mitaben (Australia).

Sr. Linda Wilson of London, UK, flew to Baba

20 April 2021

Dear UK Centre Co-ordinators,

 

Sister Linda Wilson left her body and flew to Baba very peacefully in her sleep on 23 March 2021. Linda Wilson was a physically strong, warm, compassionate, intelligent and positive woman and a fantastic mother.

 

An 18-year old girl from an island called Jamaica she was inspired by the tales of Dick Whittington in London and came and landed in England at the request of the British government to help build the country up sometime after the Second World War.

 

She trained as a psychiatric nurse in Plymouth and then married her best friend Wilfred Booth Wilson and moved to London and had three children Denise, Cheryl and Jeremy.

 

There she got a job working as a civil servant for the Lord Chancellor's Department in the late '70s and became a secretarial manager for the law courts. She was diligent and committed to her work. She was recognised for her discretion, efficiency, and good relations with staff.  In recognition of her service, she was invited to the House of Lords and invited for tea with the Lord Chancellor. An official document was issued as proof.

After retirement, she discovered the Brahma Kumaris and found everything she was looking for, especially happiness – knowledge was an added bonus. During 26 years with the BKs she helped with the Women's group, Literature department and Reception duties. Interestingly she enabled a member of the public to give birth in the reception areas as it was too late to call an ambulance. A baby boy was born at GCH! She was a remarkable woman.

The funeral will be held on Friday, 30 April 2021.

Brahma Kumaris Bid Farewell to Chief  Dadi Hriday Mohini

Abu Road, March 13: The Brahma Kumaris, the world’s largest spiritual organization led by women, bid adieu to their chief, Dadi Hirday Mohini, in a simple funeral ceremony at their Shantivan campus here today.

 

Dadi Hirday Mohini had passed away on March 11, 2021 at a hospital in Mumbai following a prolonged illness. She was 95.

 

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and several other political leaders sent their condolences on the passing away of Dadi Hirday Mohini.

Dadi’s mortal remains were consigned to flames in the presence of senior figures of the institution from different parts of India and the world. The gathering was kept small due to restrictions imposed by the government in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Thousands of members of the Brahma Kumaris who had reached Shantivan to pay their last respects to Dadi watched the ceremony on giant screens inside the vast Diamond Hall, with thousands more across the world watching it live on television and online.

 

The cremation took place on a lawn in front of Shakti Bhawan, Dadi Hirday Mohini’s residence in Shantivan.

Earlier, members of the Brahma Kumaris’ apex decision-making body, the Management Committee, paid glowing tributes to Dadi Hirday Mohini, describing her as a great yogi who has left a deep impression in the minds of countless people with her spiritual wisdom, simplicity, and loving nature.

 

Dadi Ratan Mohini, the additional chief of the Brahma Kumaris, B.K. Nirwair, Secretary-General of the Brahma Kumaris, B.K. Brij Mohan, Additional Secretary General, B.K. Laxmi, B.K. Mruthyunjaya, Executive Secretary, B.K. Asha, Director of Om Shanti Retreat Centre, B.K. Jayanti, Director of Brahma Kumaris services in Europe, and others spoke on the occasion.

Dadi’s body was earlier kept in Shantivan for people to pay their last respects, and it was also taken to the Brahma Kumaris campuses of Pandav Bhavan and Gyansarovar, and the institution’s Global Hospital, for the people there to pay their tributes.

Born in Karachi in undivided India in 1928, Dadi Hirday Mohini was associated with the Brahma Kumaris since the age of eight, when she, along with her mother, joined a spiritual community led by Prajapita Brahma, the founder of the Brahma Kumaris.

 

Over the following eight decades she engaged in intense spiritual study and travelled widely across India and the world, visiting 112 countries to spread her spiritual message.

 

Dadi Hirday Mohini became the chief of the Brahma Kumaris after the passing away of the previous head of the institution, Dadi Janki, in March 2020.

Dignitaries Send Condolences for Dadi's Death

The condolences for Dadiji have been pouring in. Leaders across the political line and dignitaries from various fields took to Twitter and shared their condolences.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences. "Rajyogini Dadi Hriday Mohini Ji will be remembered for her numerous efforts to alleviate human suffering and further societal empowerment. She played a pivotal role in spreading the positive message of the Brahma Kumaris family globally. Anguished by her passing away. Om Shanti.” he wrote. 

 

In a condolence message, Vice President of India, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu tweeted that he was deeply saddened by the passing away of Dadi Hirday Mohini. “She dedicated her entire life to social service, spiritual guidance, and Raja Yoga. Dadi was a beacon of hope in these troubled times”, he wrote.

 

Indian Home Affairs Minister Mr. Amit Shah tweeted that he pained to learn about the passing away of Rajyogini Dadi Hriday Mohini ji. "Her devotion and resolve towards the welfare of society and humanity will continue to guide us. She will always be remembered for her pioneering efforts to create a better world. My deepest condolences." he wrote.

 

Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Member of Indian Parliament and Senior leader of Indian National Congress tweeted his condolences. "My homage to Rajyogini Dadi Hridaya Mohini Ji. She will be remembered for her role in inspiring spiritual awakening and her teachings will continue to guide @Brahmakumaru across the world. Om Shanti!" he wrote.

 

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot offered his heartfelt condolences. "Dadi Hirdaya Mohini devoted herself to the service of humanity and inspired people towards the spiritual path. My thoughts are with her followers..may God give them strength.", he tweeted.

 

Mrs. Droupadi Murmu,  Governor of Jharkhand, Ranchi sent her condolences. "I am deeply pained and saddened by the shocking news of the heavenly the departure of Her Divinity On Chief of Brahma Kumaris Rajyogini Dadi Hridaya Mohini Ji. Her Divinity will always be remembered for her prolific speeches which inspired many in the society through spiritual attainment, Education, Social work, spreading of Love, Peace, and Happiness...." she wrote.

Special Heartfelt feelings from Sri Lanka BK family

 

Dadi Gulzarji visited Sri Lanka in 2003 and gave powerful Drishti and message for the people of Sri Lanka, just one year before the deadly 2004 Tsunami disaster. 

 

There was a gathering of almost 100,000 near the beach (Galle Face green)  near Colombo Port in 2003 for the 2nd World Hindu conference held in Colombo.

 

She also met and tied Rakhi to religious dignitaries in Colombo and Kandy during her brief visit here in 2003.

 

We are all remembering our Respected Dadi Gulzar ji and her special Divine Drishti and wonderful sustenance for the public and Brahmins here in Sri Lanka.

Through your accurate connection with Baba, your obedience and surrender to Baba's orders, you were able to be BapDada’s instrument to bring BapDada down for us for almost 50 years. Enabling us to meet Baba through your eyes and lips. We saw, heard and met avyakt BapDada personally, whilst you were in subtle region.
 

Now you have moved on to your next role. You will continue to do world service and inspire us to become complete. Your life such a beautiful example, completely surrendered to Baba continues to inspire us. Your power of silence, your personality and sanskars so royal and pure, so authentic, uninfluenced, in your own power, selfless, gentle, detached and always loving to One and to all.

Global Chief of Brahma Kumaris Dr. Dadi Hridaya Mohini Passes Away on 11th March

Dr. Dadi Hridaya Mohini, Global Chief of the Brahma Kumaris, the world’s largest spiritual organization run by women, passed away at the age of 93 after a prolonged illness. She breathed her last at 10.30 am on Thursday, 11th March 2021 at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai. Her last rites will be performed on Saturday, 13th March at Shantivan Campus of Brahmakumaris Headquarters, Abu Road, Near Mount Abu (Rajasthan).

 

Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Dr. Dadi Hirdaya Mohini, affectionately known as Dadi Gulzar, has been associated with the Brahma Kumaris right from the inception since the tender age of 8 years in1937. Having undergone all aspects of training from such early beginnings, she is now recognized as a great yogi, much sought after for enlightenment on attaining mental concentration, peace of mind, stability in meditation, emotional control, etc. She is committed to living and teaching the values and the elevated spiritual principles which come from the ancient teachings of Raja Yoga. She had set up more than 8000 Raja Yoga Centres in 140 countries around the world. 

 

Dadi Hridaya Mohini was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Literature by the North Odisha University, Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha (India) for her contribution towards spreading the message of values, spirituality, and social service in her unique role as a messenger of the Incorporeal God. Dadi Ji has devotedly served the Godly mission by visiting as many as 112 countries. She has delivered lectures, with mastery over various and varied subjects like spirituality, philosophy, Raja yoga, and stress-free living connected with our day-to-day life. She has a clarity of thought and rich experience and simplicity of style. She has also been the organizer of many international and national conferences, fairs, exhibitions, campaigns, etc., and enlightens fluently on any subject of spiritual interest.

Sister Judith Rahaman-Majarali Flew away to Baba's Lap

Dear Divine BK Family,

 

Greetings of peace and love.

 

Dear sister Judith Rahaman-Majarali flew away to Baba's lap on March 3, 2021. 

 

She was found by her sister Deborah in her condo lying very peacefully.  

 

Judith took her physical birth in Trinidad and Tobago July 7, 1957 and found Baba in Canada 17 years ago. She was a very nurturing and dedicated sister who brought hundreds to Baba's door which gave her great happiness. She wanted the entire world to know about her Baba.

 

 A few years back she had lost both of her legs and due to her great courage, determination and unwavering faith she was able to create a new life for herself in a wheelchair and attended Murli and continued serving. The last feelings she expressed were how content and happy was to have her Brahmin life and not being lessened by the loss of her legs.  She found peace and managed to use her great sense of humour to make us laugh about the experience.

 

Judith is lovingly remembered by her Brahmin family. 

 

The Mississauga BK Family will be hosting a special meditation Saturday, March 6 from 8:30am- 9:30am EST, while the last rites for the body are taking place. Please join to send the sweet soul off with love and light:

Brahma Kumar Sem Bhanji, Salgaon, Mt. Abu, flew to Baba

3 March 2021

Dear Centre Coordinators,

Om shanti. This is to inform you that our beloved divine brother BK Sem Bhanji (Salgaon, Mt. Abu), passed away today on 3rd March 2021 at amrit vela 4:05 am and went into BapDada’s lap. We pay our heartfelt tributes to the departed soul.

For the last 15 days, he was admitted to the hospital in Ahmedabad, where he was undergoing treatment for the coronavirus. His physical body was 75 years old. He was on this path of Godly knowledge for the last 30 years. He took this divine knowledge in Australia and for the last nearly 20 years he lived in Salgaon, Mount Abu near Gyan Sarovar. He did a lot of service in India by traveling through Gujarat and Rajasthan, with his thoughts, words and actions.

Sister Phool from Southal has Passed Away

20 February 2021

 

This is to inform you that one of our students, Sister Phool Mathur, left her body on 30 January 2021. Sister Phool has been coming to Southall centre for the past 20 years. She was a very gentle, soft-spoken and loving soul. She used to read Hindi Murli once a week at Southall centre and was Baba’s pukka child.

 

She was very fragile for the past few weeks and had kept her saree, blouse and petticoat ready for her funeral service with a note to the family. The note said to only contact Sister Karuna of the Brahma Kumaris and not any priest for the final rituals.

 

Sister Phool has four daughters who are all very educated. Her daughters appreciated that the Brahma Kumaris taught her how to live a happy life. They felt that their mother was the happiest person for the last 20 years. Sister Phool’s daughters joined by zoom last Thursday for the morning bhog offering.

 

The funeral was held on 17 February in the morning in Hanworth Crematorium.

Brother Ramshanker Joshi of Wellingborough Flew to Baba

15 February 2021

Brother Ramshanker passed away on Friday 5 February at 2:30pm. He and Vimlaben joined the Brahma Kumaris in 1992 and from the very beginning he made toli for all class students to give on Thursday morning class. Both him and his wife have been very supportive to Baba's Yagya in every way and visited Mount Abu every two years.

 

Ramshankerbhai was born in Porbandar, India on 15 June 1933 to parents Gigabhai and Monghiben Joshi. Growing up wasn’t easy due to financial difficulties and the early loss of his father, but this instilled a strong perseverance and determination which equipped him for the rest of his life.

 

At the age of 21 he married Vimlaben Rajyaguru and quickly followed his elder brothers Liladharbhai, Jivanbhai and Ratilalbhai to Tanga, Tanzania in 1955. There he worked in an Indian Farsan Shop called Prabhati Rooms and Vimlaben soon joined him in 1956.

 

Their eldest daughter Smita was born in 1961, followed by Kaushik in 1965 and Nimesh in 1972. On 30 November 1974 the family moved to Wellingborough, UK. Initially, he worked in a rubber factory and then moved to work for Weetabix until his retirement in 1998. Alongside this he also spent weekends and some evenings working in a Mithai shop in Wellingborough. Over this period he enjoyed watching his family grow, including the marriages of Smita and Kaushik and the arrival of numerous grandchildren.

 

The family takes solace in that he passed peacefully at home, reciting Shiv Baba’s name three times.

 

Ramshankerbhai leaves behind a loving family including; His wife; Vimlaben Ramshanker Joshi, his children; Smita, Suresh, Kaushik, Rachael and Nimesh, his grandchildren; Anjali, Rishi, Roshni, Saneil, Nathan, Arianne and Jay, and great grandchildren; Esha, Amman and Amelia.

News of Passing Away of Sister Gulumser of Turkey

31 January 2021

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

Sister Gulumser Inal came to Baba in 2005. Although she had been undergoing treatment for leukaemia for several years, she never allowed her physical condition to impede her spiritual study. 

 

Full of exuberance and with an indomitable spirit, she was fearless in sharing Baba's treasures with all and made inroads into new areas of service. Working with the local government and bringing many people to Baba's Centre, she often arranged municipality transportation for BKs and the general community to attend public programmes.

 

She had deep love for Baba's Murli and her notebook and pen were always on hand to capture jewels of knowledge. Her dedication to Baba and discipline as a Godly student, never making excuses, made her an example of what is possible when one is truly determined.

 

She lived alone and left the body peacefully at her home on the night of 14th November. Her grown up son and daughter, both married, have also received Baba's knowledge.

Champaben Shantilal Shah of GCH, London, Flew to Baba

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

Champaben Shah, Baba’s very old child from Baba Bhavan days, left the physical body peacefully on Saturday 2 January 2021, at the age of 83 years.

 

Champaben, was born in Mombasa, Kenya and moved to the UK in 1974 with her family. Widowed at an early age of 42, she came in touch with the Brahma Kumaris where she met with Dadi Janki. Dadi inspired her to learn driving which she did and started attending classes in Baba Bhavan. She made sure that her car was always full, giving rides to others for the morning class at the centre and dropping them back home. 

 

She very quickly became independent, taking care of her two young children, and became a pillar of strength for them

 

Champaben used to give her free time in serving at the centre, mainly in the kitchen. She also had good knowledge of home remedies and used to help the sisters whenever anyone had any physical health issues.

 

She was very loving and caring, had a constantly smiling, loving, kind face and heart. She also ran a Gita Pathshala from her residence in Wembley for a number of years where many used to attend. 

 

Champaben was a very sweet and wonderful person, gentle and helpful to all. She had filled herself with peace and power (shakti) and has now flown away as an angel to spread the vibrations of peace and power to the world.

 

Champaben’s funeral took place on 14 January and we send all our good wishes and love, in Baba's remembrance to such a special soul.

News of Brother Douglas (Dougie) from Edinburgh

31 January 2021

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

BK Douglas (Dougie) Robertson from Edinburgh, left his body peacefully at home on Thursday, 21 January 2021 at about 5.30pm. Aged 66 years he leaves behind his wife Agnes.

 

In December 2020, he was diagnosed with liver cancer which quickly spread to other parts of his body. In mid-January his condition became critical and he was released  from hospital to spend his remaining days at home, with the aid of health carers.  We visited him a few days before he departed; he was weak in body but the mind was clear; he said he wasn’t in pain and took no pain killers. He had been regularly tuning into the morning skype murli class and on the day of passing, was strong and mindful enough to say a few words.

 

By profession Douglas was an accountant. He came into Gyan in Edinburgh in 1981. His participation in BK Centre life and attending murli class developed over the following years.

 

Despite ongoing mental and physical health issues, Douglas was always cheerful and kept his dignity throughout, displaying his very gentle nature. Music was his well-known passion: singing and playing the guitar, and composing his own material. He also had a keen knowledge and understanding in the use of media equipment and was very dependable in providing, setting up and advising on media equipment for the Centre and at speaker events. 

 

Douglas also became involved with and made a considerable contribution to certain voluntary organisations through the nature of his medical condition; his calm demeanour made an impression and his intelligence also, despite the medication he had to take. He always kept Baba in his awareness and did very good service handing out BK fliers and cards to the many he came into contact with. 

 

He will be fondly remembered by everyone associated with the Edinburgh Centre and those who were in his contact.

News of Sister Krutika of Norbury, South London

31 January 2021

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

Sister Krutika Patel was Baba's pukka child for the last five years. She had a lot of love for Baba and Baba's yagya. She believed in helping everyone in whatever way she could. Sister Krutika flew to Baba's lap on 22 January in the evening. She was a very innocent soul with no ill feelings for anyone. She did service for Baba with her whole heart.

 

Sister Krutika was 72 years old and was admitted to the hospital a week ago with covid symptoms. Her husband is still under observation in the hospital at the moment.

News of Brother Ramnikbhai Bakrania of London Passing Away

31 January 2021

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

Ramnikbhai was born in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, on the 25th December 1936 and came to the UK in 1962.  He and his wife Hansaben came to Gyan in April 1979.

 

At that time, Ramnikbhai was self-employed, running a garage. Mandaben and many other brothers and sisters would come to him to maintain and repair their vehicles and he would enjoy their company. Dadi Janki and Jayantiben had also visited. Being jolly in nature, he would joke with everyone.

 

Ramnikbhai and Hansaben would have a lot of activities at their home. Dadi would say that Baba has given this house, nearby to Baba’s centre, so that guests could come and stay.  They were busy with guests continuously and enjoyed looking after them and coming close to them. As Hansaben says: “That was our fortune; we enjoyed our life in Gyan so much.” They also hosted many BK gatherings including Janamastame and would cook delicious food for Baba’s children.

 

Ramnikbhai was Dadi’s favourite student and each day she would call out his name in the class. He loved Dadi so much. He was always supportive of Hansaben and never stopped her in any service she was asked to do for Baba.

 

Ramnikbhai was a joker, always cheerful, never worried about anything, always light. He was very strong and never showed any pain; he had a lot of tolerance. As well as being a car mechanic and all round repairer, he was also an artist, mouth organ player and entertainer.

 

Ramnikbhai passed away on the morning of Wednesday 20th January following a short illness. The final farewell will take place on Thursday 4th February.

 

Baba is looking after such a special soul.

BK Sister Nuncia from Tampa USA has flown to Baba (1944 – 2021)

On Saturday, January 2nd, our dear divine sister and angel, Nuncia Valderama passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Nuncia was 76 years old and passed away from cancer. Five living children survive her, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Originally from Venezuela, Nuncia came on to the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga path in Tampa 27 years ago. She learned to speak English by listening to Baba's Murli. Whether it was doing service through teaching classes in Spanish or making Bhog, Nuncia was always ever-ready and dependable. Every Thursday, she used to bring fruit, flowers, and make bhog for Baba at the center for years.

 

Nuncia was deeply dedicated to her spiritual life, never missing Murli class, or the yearly trip to Madhuban. She always called everyone "angel" and never saw or spoke of anyone's defects. Through her sweet and accepting nature, integrity, lightness, and tolerance, she became angelic.

 

By her many virtues, Nuncia conquered our hearts. Even though we understand the Drama and understand that she has to play her next part, we will dearly miss her.

BK Sister Amola of Orlando, Florida has Flown to Baba

Our beloved Orlando-based sister, BK Amola Shah, passed on into Baba's lap on January 25th, 2021. Born on September 4th, 1951, she received her knowledge at the Orlando center in 2007. She was a well-known, well-liked, and serviceable sister who did lots of international service spreading the word of Baba via Social Media. For several years she provided English translation, sprinkled with Hindi phrases, for the madhubanmurli.org website.

She will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her son, daughters, and grandchildren

 

 

 

News of Manubhai from Upton Park, UK

20 January 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

 

BK Manubhai Patel from Upton Park, East London, left his body peacefully on Wednesday, 13 January 2021 at about 8.30am at his son Prakashbhai’s house. He was aged 91 years.

 

On 4 January 2021, when he complained of chest pain he was admitted to the London Hospital. He was discharged from the hospital after four days when he was feeling better and stayed at his son Prakashbhai’s house, where he settled his accounts with body and flew to baba on 13 January.

 

Manubhai was one of the original jewels who came to Baba in 1975 during Tennyson Road days. Manubhai’s wife, Sushilaben, left her body 10 years ago.  Manubhai and Sushilaben were Baba’s very dedicated children.  In the initial days, he would drive Dadi Janki, Sr Jayanti, Sudesh Didi and other BKs around London for service. 

 

He would drive from Upton Park and come to Global Co-operation House every Sunday until his body no longer co-operated.  He was very co-operative in Baba’s service.  He never liked to go to Baba’s house in an empty car, and ensured that his car was full with Baba’s children, and that too, picking them up and dropping them off at their homes.  He was very generous by nature and remained light all the time and ready to help anyone to the best of his capacity.  He had great interest in cricket.

 

He was born in Tanzania in 1929 and came to the UK in 1971.  He worked for Transport for London until he retired.  He had three children –two sons, Kiritbhai and Prakashbhai and a daughter, Daxaben. All of them live in London with their respective families.

 

After Sushilaben passed away, BK Jayshree ben was taking care of Manubhai like her own father.  Manubhai has said many times that he lived this long because of her care and support.  The BK family also thanks BK Jayshree ben for taking care of Manubhai.
