News from the BK Family in Ukraine

Dear Global family, Om Shanti, love and remembrance from Ukraine.

Thank you Baba and our seniors for their support, as well as the whole BK family for your good wishes and powerful yoga vibrations.
 
The BK family in Ukraine is mostly fine, although their situations vary from serious to relatively fine. 

Many of you may already know the name of some Ukrainian cities, as they are always on the news. Therefore, we'll tell you our news on cities.
 
The city of Mariupol is currently one of the hottest spots of this war and we still have no news about our BK sisters there. 
 
In Kyiv, the shelling continues, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces are resisting missile attacks, BKs are going to Baba's center for murli class if there is no long curfew, and are sitting in Bhattis both at their home and in Baba's House. Some in the most targeted parts of the capital take secure shelters during the bombing. But all are fine. One sister left Kyiv with her family long ago, but others are still there, not willing to go. Besides, they don't have many options, since almost all roads leading from Kyiv are dangerous to take. 
 
Those from Kharkiv left for more peaceful places, but some are still there and we don't know about them. The city's suffering the worst damage. 
 
Few BKs left Mykolaiv, Odessa and Vinnytsia, but others are still there, not planning to go.
 
5-6 people left the country for Poland and Moldova, the rest of those who've left their places stay in the cities of Uzhgorod and Dnipro, and the Retreat Center. 
 
Some BKs live in places where there are no active hostilities: Ternopil, Dnipro and Uzhgorod. Everything's relatively calm in Donetsk. We have BKs in Lviv and they are OK. One sister in Mykolaiv received a head injury during the shelling. She was at home and couldn't hide in the shelter. She got stitches and is fine now.
 
We regularly meet by Zoom, sharing our news and meditating, conducting online and offline programs for people, supporting them. Also, we continue construction work at Baba's Retreat Center. 
 
We still have everything you need: water, food, and accommodation and living conditions, as well as the internet, means of communication and transportation, thanks to Baba.
 
Baba's knowledge and the power of yoga are special tools for us to support ourselves and others. We constantly feel Baba's canopy of protection over us, surrounded by a special aura within which there is light and calm.
 
Thanks for the help some of you are offering. We constantly feel your caring support and the angelic presence of our big, united family all over the world.

Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Nalini Didi ji Felicitated on Being Conferred with Honorary Doctorate

11 March 2022, Mumbai – It is indeed a proud moment for all at Brahma Kumaris and in particular the BK family of Brahma Kumaris – Mumbai, Ghatkopar Subzone as Respected Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Nalini Didi ji has been conferred with Honorary “Doctor of Letters” (D.Litt) by The University of Central America, for her incessant, self - less services to humanity. It’s been more than 60 years that Respected Didi ji through her preaching of Rajyoga Meditation has brought about positive transformations in many a thousands of individuals.

Acknowledging Respected Didi Ji’s gracious achievement, The HSNC (Hyderabad Sindhi National College) University, Mumbai hosted a Felicitation Ceremony at K.C College Auditorium, Churchgate on 10 March 2022. Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani – Provost of HSNC University, Dr. Kishu Mansukhani – President, HSNC Board and Dr. Hemlata Bagla – Vice Chancellor, HSNC University felicitated Resp. Didi Ji at the event.

The event was graced by Rajyogi Brahma Kumar Nikunj , Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Shaku Didi, Jhanvi Multi Foundation’s Founder – President Dr. Rajkumar Kolhe who was instrumental in recommending Respected Didi Ji for the Doctorate, Brahma Kumari Vishnu Behen along with invited guests and hundreds of BK’s.

Prior to this Felicitation ceremony, Respected Didi ji made a courtesy visit to Raj Bhavan, Mumbai to meet Hon'ble Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari Ji. It was a very warm and cordial meet in which HE was appraised with the services done by Brahma Kumaris Globally. He was presented with a huge portrait painting of Shri Laxmi – Narayan handmade by Didi ji herself. Shri. Koshyari ji also congratulated Didi ji on being conferred with honorary Doctorate degree. Along with members from the Brahma Kumaris, Ex. Cabinet minister of Maharashtra Government, Shri. Prakash Mehta was also present during the meeting.

Both the events of honouring Respected Rajyogini Dr. Nalini Didiji’s achievement were rendered successful in presence of and with good wishes from dignified personalities as well as the BK Family.

Next Global Bhatti - Saturday, 26th March

Dear Divine Family,

This month we commemorate the powerful roles played by Dadi Gulzar and Dadi Janki.

We are also reminded of our own roles, as our world is going through delicate times. Therefore, the theme of the Global Bhatti this month is “Being Unshakeable and Immovable” -  Inspiration from Dadi Gulzar and Dadi Janki.
 
On Saturday 26th March 2022, we will unite in yoga and take powerful inspirations from the teachings of our beloved Dadi Gulzar and Dadi Janki. We will then serve all souls affected by the many conflicts around the world towards the end of the Bhatti.
 
Please find attached a timetable that may be used as a guideline that can be adjusted to suit your center. There will be a meditation commentary by Didi Nirmala available on the Global Bhatti Portal including a small gift from the Global Bhatti Team; bkmeditation.online/Global-Bhatti-2022. 
 
Finally, please be reminded to post your yoga minutes on the “Billion minutes of Peace” initiative also found on the portal. These minutes of your yoga can be added at any time.

Request RE: Group 5 Travel for Madhuban - 24 March to 6th / 7th April

Dear Divine Family,

 

We are happy that Baba's double foreign children have been able to come to their home of Madhuban this season.

 

However, for the last meeting, if you have not booked a return ticket, we request that you leave Madhuban by 6th April, or at the latest, by 7th April. This is because Gyan Sarovar will be hosting a number of Bhattis for the Indian groups starting from 8th April.

Foreign Exchange counter in Gyan Sarovar for those travelling to Madhuban

Dear Divine Family, Greetings in Baba’s yaad,

 

Please note that a Foreign Exchange counter has now been set up in Gyan Sarovar for your use in Madhuban during the season. 

 

It is recommended that you exchange the majority of your foreign currency after arriving in Madhuban, and only exchange enough money necessary for travel to Madhuban at the official banks in the airport (eg State Bank of India) and not at the Currency Exchange Booths, as there are many counterfeit Rs500 and Rs1000 notes in circulation.

 

The following photocopies will be required when exchanging money 1) passport ID page, 2) Indian visa, together with 3) the immigration stamp. You will also need to show the originals.

05 March 2022: Regarding Karuna Bhai ji's Nasal Surgery

Dear All, Greetings from Ahmedabad,

 

This is just to inform you all that our most respected senior brother Karuna ji is about to undergo nasal surgery for a polyp in his right nostril. He had been struggling with symptoms like breathlessness and nasal blockage during the night time for quite a few days and hence he underwent a procedure of nasal endoscopy on 21 Feb 2022 at Ahmedabad's Super Speciality 'Aashwi' ENT Hospital. 

 

After consulting all the senior doctors at Madhuban as well as his cardiac surgeon, it was decided to plan for his nasal surgery today (05 March 2022) at 2 pm IST under Dr Mihir Mehta, who  is a renowned name in Gujarat medical circles. Post surgery, he would be required to stay in Hospital for at least 1 day and, if his parameters are fine, he would be discharged by tomorrow evening. 

 

Requesting everyone in the Divine Family to please send vibrations of yog so he recovers fast and gets back to Madhuban.

In accordance with the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the domains of these sites have now been acquired by the Brahma Kumaris. Thus, anyone visiting these URLs is automatically redirected to an official Brahma Kumaris website.

 

Unfortunately, additional sites have recently gone live which continue to use domains of this nature, for example:

·        If you are considering launching a website containing BK content, we caution you to avoid using the terms 'BK' or 'bk', 'Baba', 'Shivbaba', 'Om Shanti' or any form of "Brahma Kumaris" in your domain name, unless you have received authorization from the RCs or the BK administration. 

·        You are welcome to submit content for potential placement on official BK sites by contacting: content@brahmakumaris.org.
