Diwali Celebration in Kuwait
24 October 2014
Dear Divine Family,
Happy Diwali and Greetings from all in Kuwait.
Please find herewith some photos from our Diwali celebration with a small select group of Indians and Kuwaitis. Photos don't fully do justice to the beauty and joy experienced by all that night, but it gives you a taste of the evening.
It was a wonder of Baba or Drama or something, that during the day a bad dust storm was developing and we really felt we would need to cancel the event or move it inside (but inside is much smaller and would not give the same effect as outside), yet all the residents of the centre held a powerful thought that we are conquerors of matter. One Arab wrote half way in the day: where is your Baba! After this comment, I got a bit stern with Baba, and told him please keep our honour! And lo and behold, after 5pm the weather began to turn, which is very very unusual as these storms normally stay for more hours!
It was an honour to have the Indian Ambassador and his wife, the Green Ambassador, Bro Saoud, who is also a prominent figure in Kuwait, the second-in-charge in the Iraq Embassy, other senior members of the Indian Embassy, and some Indian and Kuwaiti business people.
Thank you Baba and Drama for a lovely, joyous evening.
