Charlie's journey of teaching meditation and leading retreats has taken him to more than 80 countries.  All who meet Charlie experience an authentic vibration of love and humility which is truly unique.

Silicon Valley, Milpitas, USA- Mamma's Remembrance Day

Om Shanti Dear Brothers and Sisters, 

On Sunday, June 25th, 2023, Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley celebrated beloved Mamma's remembrance day in Central Park which has a  serene natural beauty in the heart of Silicon Valley.

We celebrated with an early morning intense meditation in the midst of nature followed by Murli. Sister Kusum shared Mamma's remarkable virtues and unique qualities which embodied the essence of motherhood. Everyone gained a deeper understanding of Mamma's exceptional character and the profound impact she had on the community and took drishti from sweet Mamma. Baba adorned all the children with a rose. There were fun-filled, gyaan-yukt games and activities for both kids and adults. Bhog was offered to BapDada, Mamma. Baba's children experienced the serene joy of having the Brahma Bhojan together in the park.

US Instruments Meetings and Retreat - Peace Village, June 11 - 14

On Sunday, June 11, more than 130 instruments from across the United States gathered in person and on Zoom for our annual instruments retreat. Our theme for this year was “Serving as Ancestors”, with the aim of exploring together how we could step more deeply into our own ancestor awareness as we serve the USA, taking inspiration from Baba’s murlis and our wonderful ancestors and their specialities and example.

Over 3 1/2 days we experienced a wonderful blend of family time, fun, spiritual exploration, and administration. We were served beautifully by Mohini Didi, who was present both in person and virtually for the entire three days. We also received a beautiful bhog message from BapDada encouraging us to make sure the doorway of our hearts is always open and generous to those we serve, in the same way that Baba’s heart is always open to His children.  Brother Ken so beautifully unpacked the theme, giving us several things to think about as we move forward in our roles as instruments for Baba’s task of serving in the US.

The aim of the retreat was for each participant, new and seasoned, to come away feeling a deep sense of belonging to the USA family. We left Peace Village full of inspiration to take steps forward both personally, and in respect to the service happening at our Centers and Classrooms. The seed of deeper unity was planted amongst the family, and with ongoing sustenance, we aim to blossom into more beautiful, unified service opportunities for ourselves and all those in the USA that we sustain.

Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center in San Francisco hosts Mama’s Day Bhatthi on Saturday, June 24th.

The Bhatthi started with reading Mama’s elevated versions and bhog offering which were followed by meditation with the live harp music.  Some stories from Mama’s life were narrated and Mama’s virtues were extracted from each story.  Each one reflected in silence and wrote how they will make an individual effort to inculcate virtues demonstrated by Mama followed by a powerful drishti exercise.  We ended the program with powerful meditation.  Everyone had a subtle experience of sweet remembrance of Shiv Baba, Mama and Baba.
