Urgent Message from Madhuban re Dadi Gulzar Ji's Health

30 November 2015

Our Dear Divine Family at all BK Centres in Bharat and around the Globe,

Please accept special love and remembrances from our beloved Dadis and all the sisters and brothers who have gathered in Abu, from different parts of Bharat (especially Karnataka, Indore and Bhopal) and other parts of the world. Around 22,000 sisters and brothers are in Shantivan, Gyan Sarovar, Pandav Bhawan for BapDada's special meeting.

Dadi Gulzarji arrived at Ahmedabad on 27 November from Delhi. Around that time, North India had experienced sudden snowfall which affected weather in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and also South India. Due to this sudden change in weather, Dadi Gulzarji has developed chest congestion and severe cold. Dadiji is still in Ahmedabad receiving necessary medical treatment from her doctors.

Under these circumstances, drama is asking us to face the situation with love, and extend our good wishes for Dadiji's recovery.  We will be having special meditation at Baba's homes through the day, with the faith that BapDada will enable speedy recovery for our Dadiji.

The evening programme in Diamond Hall on 30th evening is as follows:

6-7pm:         Bhatti

7pm:            Video of Avyakt BapDada's past Murli to be screened

7.30pm:       Respected Dadis will address the gathering

We look forward to experiencing powerful experiences during the Yoga Bhatti. Once Dadi Gulzarji recovers fully, we will request her to bring a special message from BapDada if possible.

It would be beautiful for everyone to spend 30 November in silence and remembrance of beloved BapDada, and send sweet, healing vibrations to Dadi Gulzarji for her good health.

With special greetings from respected Dadi Jankiji, Dadi Ratan Mohiniji and your large family in Shantivan for this subtle meeting.
Your Spiritual Brother,
B.K. Nirwair
Secretary General, Brahma Kumaris

Prayer for the World

15 November 2015

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

The world is aware of multiple attacks that happened first in Lebanon 2 days before, and then in France yesterday and the world is in shock.

Let each one of us who read this message, make the time and take the time to send the healing light and the pure love to all those affected by the news of the terror attacks and multiple Bombings, whether directly or indirectly, in person or via the news through TV or any form of social media.

Times like this, our love (not our anger), our compassion (and not our judgement), our resilience (and not our hopelessness), our strength (and not our helplessness) and our spirit, shines through and showers light on all the wounded ones, all the angered and the ones grieving, and the hopeless ones.

Times like this is when my light matters, my spiritual awareness and presence matters and my on-going good wishes and purest feelings matter.

Only light drives the darkness away.
This is one such time to shine light on all affected.
At least, I can do that much for now.
Let us all do it together. Nothing is more powerful than a collective energy.
Time to meditate.
Time to pray.
Time to shine light to drive darkness away.
Time to contribute.

Announcing ??Launch of ?New Spanish Distance Learning Website (traducción en espanol abajo)

11 October 2015

Spanish-speaking souls in Latin America who do not live near a center can now take the Positive Thinking, Self-Esteem and Foundation Course online at  educacion.lam.brahmakumaris.org.

Known as Distance Education or Distance Learning, this type of education is an effective way to not only serve souls who are not close to any center but also those whose available timings do not fit into the center's schedule of courses.

Technically, the site is based on a special Distance Learning platform called "Moodle" which has features that enable the instructor to have personal contact with the student via the website and emails. There are videos for all topics as well. And there are many ways to assess/test what and how well the student is learning before they move on to the next subject.

Although the site features these three courses at the moment, there is the possibility to add others as they are developed. If you are interested in adding a course to this platform or advertising one of the current courses to Spanish-speaking people in your locality, please first speak to your Country Coordinator.

In Respect of the UN's 25th International Day of Older Persons: Dadi Janki - 100 Years Young and Still Working Full Time

8 October 2015

Still working full time at the age of 100 in a job that is both fulfilling and of immense importance to others is not an image of later life we are used to.
There's a tendency to focus on the very real challenges to society presented by ever growing numbers of seniors now living well into later life.  By 2050, people over 60 will account for one quarter of the urban population.  Additional healthcare, different housing needs, extra social care, loneliness, access to transportation - there are so many pressing issues that being older is now primarily seen as a burden and a problem for the remaining working adults.
That's not how Dadi Janki sees it.  Dadi (which means elder sister in Hindi) turns 100 in January 2016.  Still working full time, she thinks very much in terms of what she can continue to give to society.
Dadi began her new job at the age of 92, becoming the Spiritual Head of an international spiritual education organisation, a job which takes her around the world.
This year alone she has so far clocked up 49,418 business air miles.  In a world of challenges and great change, the wisdom that Dadi aged 100 can offer seems to be much in demand. Her daily routine starts at 4.00 am with a schedule packed full of meetings with both students of the organisation (Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University) as well as leaders from business, government and all walks of life.
This week (October 1st) the UN is holding its 25th International Day of Older Persons and this year the emphasis is on age inclusiveness in the urban environment.  Dadi Janki however, as anyone who knows her has come to expect, doesn't restrict herself to just one urban setting. In the last few months alone she has spent time in London (her home for most of the past 40 years) New York, Kuwait, Morocco, Malaysia, Singapore and numerous cities throughout her native India.
All of this is quite impressive.  So how does she keep so youthful and active with a schedule that many people half her age would find somewhat daunting...?
Top 10 Secrets for staying young at 100 years of age:
1.  Sense of Purpose.  Dadi has a very clear vision for the future of humanity, which she feels she is working towards and will continue to do so.  Retirement is not a word in her vocabulary.  When you have passion for what you are doing, why would you want to stop?  This passion and sense of purpose gives her energy, drive and commitment.
2. Inner Connection.  Dadi feels a strong connection to her own inner being and to a greater power beyond herself.  This gives her a rich inner life and is the source of her own energy.
3. Spiritual Discipline.  Dadi's life has been committed to following a spiritual path which nourishes and sustains her.  This gives her life structure and discipline and keeps her focused.  She always experiences a state of deep inner peace with a quiet and stable mind.  This power of silence means she can stay calm, no matter what is going on around her.
4.  Control Over Thoughts.  Dadi has a well-developed control over her mind (through the daily practice of meditation).  This allows her to focus only on positive thoughts which bring benefit to herself and others.  Despite her many bouts of ill health, she chooses not to pay attention to any aches and pains.  "Thinking about my pain only adds to it" is her answer to doctors' questions about what she is feeling.
5. Selfless Service.  Thinking of others is a secret key to a happy life.  Dadi's life has been one of altruistic service, thinking of the needs of others in balance with her own needs.  This keeps the energy flowing out to others so it can flow back in return.  She is therefore continually supported by the good wishes of those she has first supported herself.
6.  Living with Others.  Throughout her life, Dadi has lived in community with others. There are always people around her, of different backgrounds and walks of life and importantly across the different generations.  This keeps her in touch with what is going on and with the energy of youth.
7.  Early Rising.  Dadi has always woken early each day (4.00 am).  Morning meditation gives her time with herself and her connection with the Divine.  She always keeps this time as her own special time.  This gives her the power and energy to get through the day without experiencing any stress, even though she has a very demanding workload.
8.  Simple Life.  In contrast to the aims of many people today to accumulate and acquire, Dadi has very few possessions. She is therefore able to travel light and keep her world clutter-free, clean and simple. This keeps her from feeling heavy and burdened.
9. Healthy Living.  Dadi's food has always been vegetarian. In addition, she places great value on the nourishment of food that has been cooked with love and good wishes.
10.  Laughter is part of life.  Despite her heavy work schedule, Dadi always finds time to laugh.  Her teachings are deep and thoughtful yet she is able to bring a lightness through her humour.

Greetings for Janamashtami from Br Nirwair Ji

8 September 2015

My dear divine sisters and brothers from Bharat and all Centres around the world,

Please accept multi-million fold happy greetings as we celebrate the most auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janamashtami (5 September 2015 according to the Indian Calendar).
This occasion provides us with glimpses of the Golden-Aged life, especially when trance mediums go in trance and Avyakt BapDada fulfil our desires and curiosities by using these messengers to share experiences of Shri Krishna, the Gopis and Gopes, and Golden Age as was witnessed this morning in Om Shanti Bhawan (the stage was beautifully decorated with the image of Shri Krishna as the backdrop, a swing, fruit trees etc, and Shashiben offered bhog).
May you all continue to dance in your consciousness with your friend: the most beautiful, the most innocent and most wise one, Shri Krishna!
Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations!
With BapDada's love,
B.K. Nirwair

Being With One - Dignity for All:

Making Peace with Non-Violence

4 September 2015

Dear Sisters and Brothers:
"Between Sept 21, the UN International Day of Peace, and October 2, the UN International Day of Nonviolence, the Brahma Kumaris are going to be staging "Flash Meditations" in cities all over the world on the theme of 'Being With One, Dignity for All – Making Peace with Non-Violence.'
Time and space provide us with unlimited opportunity to create, sustain, and transform. All we need to do is show up with our positive thoughts, pure feelings, and good wishes. ‘Being with One, Dignity for All -- Making Peace with Non-Violence' is a call to connect to what is inherent in every soul. Peace is the original religion of the soul, and non-violence is its natural nature. Individually and collectively we can create atmospheres, sustain relationships, and transform energies. Let make our commons into peaceful and non-violent spaces through flash meditations. Being with One Source is the method to radiate spiritual light into the life of all awakening their inner dignity.
Being with One, Dignity for All:
As spiritual beings we all share the same Source of spiritual light and power. Many now recognize that we can gently raise our consciousness, connect with the Source, and serve as instruments of the ONE to bring spiritual powers into the world. It is a subtle exercise in which we can serve to empower and strengthen others. In the process we also cultivate resilience to face our own daily challenges.
Join others in 12 days of Flash Meditations. You can choose how many days you would like to participate -- It can be a minimum of 1 day or the maximum of 12 days. The suggested timings are 10:30 am, 12 noon, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm. The locations will be determined by the local organizing group. Each day we will focus on a specific spiritual power, beginning with peace and ending with non-violence.
September 21: Peace
September 22: Love
September 23: Compassion
September 24: Enthusiasm/Optimism
September 25: Courage
September 26: Letting go
September 27: Forgiveness
September 28: Tolerance
September 29: Resilience
September 30 Cooperation
October 1: Dignity
October 2: Non-violence
A brief spiritual meaning will be given to each power so that everyone can focus on the same power on the same day for the Flash Meditations around the world. The meanings will be included on the post card.
• Create a planning team to guide the process for 12 days (September 21 – October 2)
• Each center should choose how long you want each of these flash meditations to be. The duration could be a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes.
• Pick 12 public locations in your city --- parks, train stations, malls etc. where people will naturally be gathering and decide what times of day you want to do your flash meditations on the theme of "Being With One, Dignity for All – Making Peace with Non-Violence."
• Contact your students and friends to participate in as many as they can. Each one who participates agrees to show up 10 minutes before the appointed time, mingling in the area. They agree to dress completely in white.
• Contact community organizations and groups with an interest in meditation and request their partnership in the Flash Meditations. For example, in New York we are partnering with World Dream Day Organization.
• At the exact time, everyone converges on the spot you've picked and sits in meditation in complete silence (or have a commentary played through a boom-box on the power of the day).
• At the end of (10 or 30) minutes, everyone gets up and quietly leaves the location.
• Each meditator is given a gift of a post card with details of the ‘Being with One, Dignity for All – Making Peace with Non-Violence' Flash Meditations, the 12 powers, and connection to UN International Days of Peace and Non Violence.
o You may want to bring "floor chairs" if it's longer than 10 minutes.
o Every group should have a visible "tent sign" about 4 feet high which says "Being With One, Dignity For All – Making Peace With Non Violence" Flash Meditations. (Designed by Judi Rich)
o A special design of "leave behind" cards/flyers that introduce the BK's, invite people to come to one of the centers listed on the card to learn meditation, also giving steps on how to meditate. You may already have such a card or flyer, but Judi Rich will design a sample.
o A post card on 12 powers to be given out as a gift, showing connection to UN International Days of Peace and Non Violence. (Designed by Judi Rich)
o 12 meditations, one on each power will be provided for you to use at the Flash meditations. (commentaries by Bebe Butler)
A Facebook page titled Flash Meditations has been created for you to have daily postings. We invite you to drive people to ‘Like' the Flash Meditations page in order to enhance their experience and participation:
Someone on the team (maybe more than one) takes photos and posts to Facebook & other social media
You might want to send a write-up with photos or a short video to local media.
In love and remembrance of the ONE

Message from Dadi Ratan Mohini for Rakshabandhan

3 September 2015

To all the spiritual children of avyakt bapdada, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, please accept warm greetings of the heart along with godly love and sweet remembrance from Madhuban
We received the rakhees you sent via letters and emails on the occassion of raksha bandhan. We wish you all a happy Raksha Bandhan too.
Our real protection is in our intellect's yoga being constantly with Baba. The thread of remembrance should never break. In Baba's remembrance, we should constantly walk the path of his teachings and maryadas and help others do the same. This is following shrimat in the right way.
We have make our thoughts elevated, our words sweet and our actions divine while having good wishes, good feelings and good thoughts towards everyone. This is wearing the armour of protection which will protect us as well as others.  For this, on the auspicious occassion of Raksha Bandhan, each one of us have to get prepared for the final time by making effort to keep our own charts and move towards completion.
Love filled remembrance for one and all

Message from BK Nirwair for Rakshabandhan and Dadiji's Day

25 August 2015

To our Brahmin family, especially the instrument Senior Teachers, and ?all sisters and brothers in class,

Please accept hearty Godly love-remembrances and lots and lots of congratulations for the upcoming special festival of Raksha Bandhan.

?This bond of protection, symbolic of the thought of purity that Baba has inspired us to take, is beneficial for us at present, but also filled with virtues and many attainments for the future too.? It is called the thread of protection, however the pure feelings they awaken within us are so elevated as they have no limitation. On behalf of the Madhuban family, I extend congratulations for this Festival with the wish that all our sisters and brothers continue to fly with enthusiasm!

?Whenever the day of Raksha Bandhan comes close, we are also refreshed by remembering our most beloved Dadi Prakashmaniji's smile, her steady, unwavering love, and selfless pure feelings for all. Sharing those experiences of Dadiji creates a very loving atmosphere.

This time, BK couples who have been in gyan for more than 5 years have been especially invited for a Bhatti from 21-26 August, and to honour Dadiji's day, so 15,000 sisters and brothers (couples and mothers) have gathered in Shantivan!?
Those who have ever taken drishti from Dadiji, or heard her share elevated version?
?s, or had personal interactions can never forget Dadiji. Madhuban Niwasis especially remember Dadiji with deep love, while they continue to carry out their duties accurately as guided and taught by Dadiji at every step.

This year, in which way shall we pay tribute to Dadiji?

The heart feels overwhelmed as we emerge memories of Dadiji's virtues, selfless love, her respect for everyone, whether they were children, adults or the elderly and much more. On the 8th anniversary of Dadiji's ascension, we can truly express our loving regard by sincerely following the directions and guidance we've received from Dadiji over the decades.

With these pure wishes and Baba's love,

B.K. Nirwair

It was interesting to watch that the UN doubled their initial target from 1,00,000 to 2,00,000 during the week itself, and the BK contribution for the revised target during the week amounted to approximately 42%.
Kindly find the detailed news here. We thank the global family for all the support and look forward to their active participation in the next event - World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims on 15th November 2015.
We trust you will enjoy reading the report, especially watching the art work of children from Kazakhstan!
With Divine Regards,
BK Divya

Invitation to the Enchanted Murli Initiative in English, Hindi & Spanish

6 May 2015

Dear Divine Brothers and Sisters
Please accept love-filled remembrance. As part of our ongoing sustenance program for BKs we are rolling out a new initiative called The Enchanted Murli. This initiative will go on for 6 weeks daily. It begins Monday, May 11 and ends Sunday, June 21, 2015, the International Day of Yoga. Because Amritology and the webinars with our seniors were truly sustaining and unifying, we decided to facilitate a collective study of each day's Murli to bring us all together so we can derive maximum benefit from what Baba gives us everyday.
With this in mind, we write to warmly invite you to join us for The Enchanted Murli, a collective bhatti that delves into the magical properties of Baba's Murli and the wonders it performs on the soul in its journey to self-transformation. Please refer to The Magical Flute Story to learn why and how we picked the title, The Enchanted Murli.
We will use the spiritual trajectory of:
* smriti (remembrance)
* samarthi (power)
* mano-vritti (attitude)
* drishti
to transform our kriti (actions).
Please refer to A Spiritual Magician's Guide to Self-transformation for an explanation of these terms. This initiative will look at how we can become spiritual magicians and transform our remembrance through the art and science of the magical Murli. Every day for six weeks the facilitators will provide a new set of points, excerpted from the days' Murli. Please refer to the daily framework document for details. If you would like to receive these points daily (English and Hindi) in your email inbox, then register now. If you already receive Diamond Dadi points, then no need to register again. We will also have weekly webinars conducted by our seniors.
BapDada on April 5, 2015 (original date of Murli November 21, 1979) said, "Now, at the end, all Brahmins must give just a finger of cooperation with a united attitude. Only when there is unified thought will the unlimited world be transformed." With this in mind we invite the whole global family to pay special attention to the evening meditation from 7:00pm to 7:30pm. Let us create a beautiful wave of pure remembrance and attitude spanning the whole world starting from Japan and ending in Hawaii, every day for six weeks.
Join us now for The Enchanted Murli initiative and learn to look at the Murli with a quiet heart and an open intellect. Dance to the rhythm of remembrance and truth and make these six weeks a time for deep personal transformation.
With Many Blessings and Remembrance of Baba,
Sister Mohini, Didi Nirmala, Sister Jayanti and BK Sustenance Team

Queridos Divinos Hermanos y Hermanas,

Report on Our Nepal Earthquake Relief Efforts as of 2nd May

6 May 2015

Respected Dadi Janki ji, Dadi Gulzar ji, Dadi Ratan Mohini ji, Nirwair Bhai ji, Ramesh Bhai ji, Karuna Bhai ji, Munni Bhen ji, Mruthyunjaya Bhai ji,

Greetings from Mumbai.

I am writing to you to brief about the 'Relief Work" done so far by Brahma Kumaris Disaster Management Services along with Global Hospital & Research Center.

Since 26th April 2015, we have started our relief work by sending teams of Ham Radio Operators for communication, Medics & Paramedics staff for medical services as well as Truck load of relief material consisting of ready to eat food packets, water, blankets etc. For ease of donating, we have opened a special Relief Fund Bank Account at Mount Abu by GHRC.

Apart from these, as per information given by B.K. Ramsingh ji of Kathmandu Center, around 5000 BK Relief Volunteers are serving people of Nepal round the clock by providing them tents, water, food, blankets, mattress etc. from the day Earthquake hit Nepal.

On 28th April , Jet Airways agreed to take Brahma Kumaris Relief Material by air from Mumbai to Kathmandu Free. We have sent a consignment of 1400 (700+700) woolen blankets by Jet Airways. Apart from Jet, Air India & Indigo Airlines have also come forward to take our relief material free of charge. We are in process of procuring good for the same.

After much deliberations with Indian Railways, they have agreed to carry approximately 4 tons of BK relief material Free by a direct train from Mumbai/Delhi to Raxaul (India Nepal border) on Monday 04 & Tuesday 05 May 2015. Our volunteers in Nepal are specifically asking for Waterproof tents ONLY as its raining there and still lakhs of people are on roads. So we have today procured around 1500 tents which would be packed and sent by train on Monday.

Dadi ji, we are receiving very good response from BK's as well as Non-BK's from all over India. Everyone is coming forward to help in this cause.

Apart from tents, we have received 1000 kgs of Biscuits from Hyderabad as well as 700 kgs of Khakhra from a factory in Jodhpur. There are a lot of people who are coming forward to give "Thepla", 'Sukhdi" etc...however due to customs procedures, we are preferring Only dry and durable food items. Will keep you posted regularly.

Kindly keep guiding us and inspiring us. Omshanti.

Updates on Nepal Earthquake from Sr Raj

28 April 2015

To our powerful and most respected Dadis, seniors of Madhuban and Brahmin family,
Please accept loving remembrances from Rajben, Kiranben and the sisters and brothers of Kathmandu, and Nepal in general.
We are safe in Baba's main centre at Kathmandu. Out of the three main homes in Kathmandu, the oldest one: Vishwa Shanti Bhawan (where the sisters stay and the Baba's Bhandara is situated) has sustained a few cracks during the earthquake, which is why we have shifted into the newer building next to it: Sukdham. There have been smaller quakes and aftershocks experienced since Saturday, and all places are continually receiving warnings. Even while typing this email, there was a large shake, and we instantly heard shouts from people outside, and so we moved to a safer place… Till today, people are camped outside; all the main public areas are filled with people either under tents, or some canopy or just out in the open.
On 25 April, Rajben was on stage at a Lion's Club public programme in Academy Auditorium Hall when the earthquake struck. Rajdidi lost balance during those few minutes and sustained little chest pain, and a cough that continues, however everything else is fine with the power of good wishes from the Brahmin family.
Our teachers and brothers at various Centres are fine in their respective places. They spend their day on the ground floor or external portion of Baba's homes in yoga and doing service.
Some of the students' home have sustained cracks or the walls have been damaged, but apart from that they are all okay.
The electricity lines are still cut (as of 28th); in the capital of Kathmandu, apart from a bit of mobile network, phone lines are down. Offices and banks etc are still closed.
We are receiving Baba's power, and the support of your yoga power and good wishes. Please convey our loving remembrances to everyone.
Om Shanti,
BK Raj and Nepal Niwasis

Invitation to Participate: UN Global Road Safety Week 2015

27 April 2015

Dear Divine Sisters and Brothers,

Greetings of eternal happiness from the Road Safety team at Mumbai.

The Road Safety initiative of Brahma Kumaris is knocking at our door once again with an opportunity for synchronized global activities. The UN Road Safety Collaboration has declared 4th to 10th May 2015 as the Global Road Safety Week (GRSW). This year, the theme for the week is ‘Children and Road Safety'. The UN has tagged this campaign as #SaveKidsLives and their official website for this is www.savekidslives2015.org

We would like to propose a list of activities that BK centres could undertake during the week. All the required resources for the proposed activities can be downloaded from here. Centres could select activities from this list that are most feasible and effective in their context.

1. E-Mail Campaign: Short attractive mailers will be designed on specific themes of children and road safety in the light of spiritual knowledge and practice. These could be forwarded to BK and Non-BK contacts and also to HR teams of corporate houses, requesting them to forward the same to their personnel in observance of this global week. We can propose to forward one email a day, for the duration of one week.

2. Road Safety Pledge Drive: We could inspire citizens to sign the road safety pledge drive and also sign the child declaration for road safety. This could also be organised at institutions or at suitable public places. The online links are: BK Road Safety Pledge and UN Child Declaration.

3. Short Poems: We have developed short audio tracks wherein children share road safety messages through rhymes. These can be downloaded here and can be shared via various social media platforms like whatsapp, facebook, twitter.

4. Use of mass media and social media networks: Talks, interviews, press articles and promoting social media links of the project will also play an important role in promoting the spiritual solutions to road safety.

5. Public Programme: Road Safety is a relevant theme to a wide audience in general too. A public function in observance of the GRSW could be organized, involving participation from various stakeholder groups viz. Staff of public transport companies, traffic police, other traffic authorities, road development authorities, automobile companies, insurance companies, trauma care personnel, traffic management institutes etc.

6. Thank You cards: Throughout this week, use of "Thank You" cards for drivers of transport vehicles could be stepped up, and we can inspire children to lead the way! Find an e-copy here.

7. Talks on Radio: Interviews or talks on radio could be organized on road safety and the contribution of spirituality. Since most drivers and travellers frequently listen to the radio, this could be one of the most effective services via mass media.

8. Talks for drivers, youth and any other institutional / social groups: Interactive programmes on road safety can be held for any age-group and specifically for drivers too. Some topics and links to resources are provided at the end of this letter.

Before the onset of the GRSW, some useful preparatory activities will be:

i. Engaging BKs in the pledge drive

ii. Popularising websites and social media amongst BKs

iii. Establishing connections with like-minded NGOs locally

Additionally BKcenters especially with younger children can also contribute by adding their local flavour of creativity in following ways.

1. Video of children reading the UN Child Declaration: This declaration is made available by the UN in following languages – English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian. Participation of BK centers with these local languages will bring out the global flavour.

2. Personalized Road safety message: Any creative means of expression by children i.e. Poem, song, dance, message in any written, audio or video format preferably using local language and by local kids will also add to the global flavour.

A global response by the Brahma Kumaris to the Global Road Safety Week may also attract media attention to the new concept of spirituality's contribution to road safety.

For the talks, radio shows and public programmes, inputs on some topics like Safety through Spirituality, Traffic Control of the Mind, Healing Habits and Who Rules the Road are available at the following links:

We look forward to your response and suggestions. We look forward to complete news and post-event information, supported by photographs and videos of the regional events.

Thank You.

In Spiritual Service,

B.K. Kavita.

Earthquake News from Kathmandu, Nepal

25 April 2015

Love-filled greetings to our respected Dadis, Madhuban Niwasis and the BK family,
All of you must have seen the news of the devastating earthquake that struck mainly three big towns of Kathmandu and nearby districts on 25 April 2015. The phone lines are down; mobiles have been working on and off and so we haven't been able to get in touch with all our service places. However we are hearing getting news that Baba's Centres are okay, and the Brahmin family is all right. We continually are receiving predictions of small and big aftershocks.
With BapDada's blessings and good wishes from all our Seniors and Brahmin family, we are fine and will stay in contact.
With million-fold thanks,
On Spiritual Service,
Your sister,
BK Raj, Kathmandu

Message from Nirwairbhai Ji on 22nd April

23 April 2015

My dear divine sisters and brothers in Bharat and across the world,
Please accept hearty Godly love and remembrances from Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad, Room 723!
It's taken nearly two months for investigations and various medications to help reverse the attack of a hidden disease, which had in fact remained undetected for six months. Seeing the positive results, my surgeons and physicians feel very encouraged and are of the opinion that perhaps the surgical procedure to take care of spine may be avoided. They have not yet taken a final decision, and are continuing with further investigations. We hope that within one week the picture will be 100% clear, though treatment will take some more time.
There is just one aspect of concern: I have lost 8kg weight as a result of one-month's inactivity and lack of appetite. The antibiotics have affected my taste buds and have discouraged good intake, but surely this will improve in time.
Million-fold thanks for Baba's blessings, blessings of our Dadis, the continuous bhattis, and all your good wishes!
On Godly Service,
B.K. Nirwair

17th April Update on Nirwair Bhaiji's Health

17 April 2015

Friday, 17 April 2015
To our Brahmin family in Bharat and foreign lands,
You would have received the update on Nirwairbhai's health sent on 15 April. He was shifted to Ahmedabad on 15th afternoon. As the doctor in Mumbai had deferred surgery for certain reasons, Nirwairbhai wished to look at other options.
The skilled orthopedic surgeon in Ahmedabad, Dr Bharat Dave (a long-term friend of the BKs who has treated our Dadis and seniors on several occasions), has seen the reports and said that he is willing to carry out the surgery on the spine with due precaution, under local anesthesia.
On the 16th, as per routine procedure, various tests took place to check fitness of the chariot. All tests show that health is improving, and therefore the surgery will take place within the next 2-3 days. We will inform you as soon as it's finalized.
We are happy to share that Nirwairbhai is doing well, and is in good spirits. Senior BKs have been visiting him, and on the 16th Dadi Jankiji came to the Hospital to meet him. They had a beautiful spiritual chit-chat. Dadiji provided great encouragement by citing different examples of how BapDada's power and the good wishes of the family have helped souls to overcome health challenges.
Though Nirwairbhai is in rest, he continues to keep updated on Yagya service activities. He is very grateful to the divine family for everyone's good wishes that come in the form of emails, letters, cards and subtle thoughts in yoga. These are reaching him and comforting him.
Dr Banarsibhai and other seniors are continually present to support and care for him.
With special thanks and good wishes,
B.K. Dr Partap
B.K. Karuna
NB: We understand that many BKs would like to visit Nirwairbhai, however doctors have recommended that he rests as much as possible to ensure smooth and fast recovery. It is our humble request that all of you cooperate in sending your good wishes in subtle form, and we will then inform you about visiting hours once we have the doctors' permission.

Nirwair Bhaiji's Health Update

16 April 2015

Dear Divine Family

As you all know that our sweet brother Nirwair ji has been admitted to Mumbai's BSES Hospital since last two weeks for treating his bacterial infection and back problem. His food intake is slowly getting normal and he has also started taking physiotherapy to ease his movements.

As advised by his team of doctors in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, he was flown to Ahmedabad on 15th April morning at 11 am. He will now continue his treatment under eminent Ortho Surgeon Dr. Bharat Dave at Ahmedabad's Sterling Hospital. All your good wishes and get well soon emails are reaching him and he reciprocates with lots of love and blessings. Hopefully we would see Nirwair bhaiji walking out of the hospital very soon.

9 April 2015

To the Brahmin family in Bharat and foreign lands,
Please accept loving greetings from Madhuban.
We would like to share with you an update on Nirwairbhai's health as many have been concerned and enquiring.
The details as shared by Dr Partapbhai are as follows:
Nirwairbhai was shifted to Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, on 28 March for expert opinion from Dr Rajiv Soman on the Mycobacteriam Chelonae Infection that has contracted. Dr Soman took special care, looked after him very well, and streamlined the Antibiotic therapy. Nirwairbhai was discharged and shifted to our BK hospital, BSES-MG, in Andheri.
On Saturday, 4 April evening he had severe pain and a repeat MRI revealed a worsening of the infection in the spine. He was shifted to Lilavati Hospital on 7 April for Surgery under the care of Dr Shekhar Bhojraj.
As part of the preoperative assessment, a detailed examination was carried out and many specialists were involved. This was done in view of his past cardiac history, and also since the last many days his sodium level has been continuously low. The Surgery was planned for Saturday,11 April, however on 8 April afternoon Nirwairbhai had discomfort in the chest, and ECG showed some changes like angina. After some medication and Oxygen Therapy, the ECG returned to normal. He was cheerful again and had good rest later on.
In view of his cardiac history, fungal infection and low sodium level, Dr Bhojraj has decided to defer the Surgery for some time. He will be treated with Physiotherapy, Medication and Rehab programme. He has therefore been brought back to BSES-MG hospital under the care of Dr Narayan Khandelwal, Dr P K Jain and Dr Ashok Mehta.
Nirwairbhai is comfortable and will be here for some weeks. He sends his greetings and good wishes to the world-wide divine family.
In Baba's yaad and service,
B.K. Dr Partap

At Last: The Parenting Guide LVE Parents Asked For!

26 March 2015

For almost 20 years, parents who love LVE have been asking for a book for them. "Nurturing with Love and Wisdom, Disciplining with Peace and Respect: A mindful guide to parenting" answers their request.

The qualities of love, peace, respect and wisdom are embedded in this book, in guidelines on encouragement, listening, peace time, Us Time, building positive behavior, developing responsibility and discipline while dealing with practical realities such as homework and how to get the kids to handle squabbles respectfully and independently.

Suggestions and activities are shared to help parents help children, from toddlers to teens, use values to handle their challenges as well as to deal with bullying and prevent drug use and sexual abuse.

This book is unusual not only for the variety of important topics addressed, but for its mindful approach in building healthy emotional and social skills while strengthening loving family relationships.

An enjoyable read that parents will return to as a resource again and again, Diane Tillman brings guiding principles to life with stories about children, parents and educators.

Several reviews:

"Anyone who reads this parenting book will thank God for it. I only wish that it had been around when our children were all in the house. It covers everything I could ever want as a caring parent."
~ Kurt Krueger, Middle School Teacher

"This is the first book I've read that puts together so many positive ways for parents to interact with their children to teach them how to be good and loving people. I really like Diane's straightforward approach. She gives suggestions parents can use immediately."
~ Caroline Druiff, School Counselor, School Psychologist

This is an excellent, informative and useful book for parents and professionals who work with parents. The writing is accessible and the format is very user friendly. The wisdom and useful examples provide tools and skills that reflect the peace, respect, nurturing and love promised by the title. One of the best parenting books I've read, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; this book is very relevant to the challenging cultural issues children and their parents face in today's world.
~ Linda Slauson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

"I find this book for parents to be a very practical and authentic guide that invites parents to help nurture and support their children as they grow from infancy into adulthood. What makes this book stand out is its realism, coherence, clarity and depth based on research and Diane's vast experience of working with parents during her distinguished career. As I reviewed the contents, I was particularly touched by the invitational style that invited the reader to reflect on their own childhood and parenting perspectives, and how to simply be an even better parent. Some of the issues such as how to deal with bullying, drugs, social media and abuse are profound in their practicalities - yet, equally, so too, are the important elements of 'Taking Care of You' and the recurrent theme of 'Us Time' - that loving and trusting relationship between parent and child that underpins and strengthens the personal living of values and sense of family and individuality that are important to us all.
~ Peter Williams, President, Association for Living Values Education International.

Stepping Into 100 Years - A Celebration With Dadi Janki

2 Febuary 2015

Dadi Janki, Sister Jayanti and Sister Hansa entered down the middle aisle from the back of the auditorium, greeting everyone as she came to the stage.  The auditorium was overflowing with 700 + BKs, who had gathered on this chilly winter night, with hearts warm and open and in deep appreciation and delight at this chance to celebrate with Dadi, and all the love she has given throughout the years, here in London.
MC'd by BK Minesh and BK Jagruti and billed as the Event of Century – an evening to celebrate the birthday of this most precious jewel ever to grace our presence, Dadi Janki and the one who keeps making the impossible become possible,
A great variety of BK talent then shared their great love for Dadi with many acts, both light and profound…
BK Davina opened  with a poem noting how ‘Dadi Janki points one eloquent finger up to the Father…and how Dadi and the early ones have left us the legacy of trust and everything is built on their solid foundation of faith.  Davina also spoke of how Dadi's dream is manifest in the bricks and mortar and we walk along the corridors of her vision – the vision she holds for all of us, of seeing our highest selves and she pulls us towards this vision, sometimes by the ear!.. The pictures that Dadi paints make us all feel we know the ones we didn't meet…Dadi has accepted Baba's blessing of immortality…as she dances the dance of becoming equal to the Father…and leads us in the happiness as she dances….
Sisters from Southall then danced a dance of great happiness. Followed by the first of five amusing skits, performed by London brothers, led by BK Minal and BK Trushar and all wonderfully bespoke for a BK audience!  The first one, titled Dadi Tracker, advertised a new phone app to ensure that you'll never be late for class and so never get Dadi's wagging finger!  As well as other great features for every self respecting BK!
Two sisters (spiritual and lokik), Kethiswary and Umaparameswary, sang from the heart a Tamil song, expressing that simplicity is the way that Baba wants us to follow.
A second skit brought more humour with takes on the different poses of BKs before exiting yoga/class and brought much laughter from the audience. This was followed by the third: ‘Webcast or Live?', illustrating the simple dilemma to either come into the gathering as a pukka BK, or to stay at home and snuggle in for the evening and watch the webcast!
‘I'd like to teach the world to sing…in perfect harmony' sang out from the singing group, before the fourth skit, a commercial, advertising a most useful BK item, the ‘magic bhog cloth away' –  to cover up unwanted mess (or company), when Dadi visits…'a wonderful bit of kit to save many golden aged births…so don't hesitate and order online.'
An inspiring dance was performed by BK Pearl and sisters, to Dadi's words, spoken in English with a background soundtrack created by UK music producer Sunit Panchal.
This captured everyone's heart: ‘We hold the same vision of a better world…such a world could and will exist….now make it happen…it is what is in our hearts that creates a lovely home….we hold a vision of a better world and speak for all people.'
The final skits again entertained and made everyone laugh, with a take on a less than elegant Rakhi and, finally, a visit to the Blessings Return Counter – for those who wish to trade in, understand and verify that they were genuine blessings in the first place. Everyone was cautioned to ‘only accept blessings from reputable seniors!'
The MCs thanked all the artists for making the evening memorable and BK Jagruti spoke to Dadi: ‘You are 99 but young and sweet, like sweet 16'.  Everyone clapped Dadi up to the stage, as she arrived dancing with Sister Jayanti and Sudesh Didi to ABBA's ‘Dancing Queen'.
Sister Jayanti shared deep thanks to the One above, the One who created Dadi and extended a big thank you to everyone present for joining the celebration, as well as ‘a big, big thank you to Dadi'.
Sudesh Didi noted how much can we express the deep inner feelings of gratitude and love  and how Dadi had spoken about holding the world in her hands, and now what is in her hand is in her heart and we see the whole world holding her in their heart.  Thank you Dadi for making us unshakeable, stable and powerful. Baba glorifies you and Baba has given us such a gift like you, a real diamond.
Sister Maureen and Sister Jaymini also came up and shared words of deep love and gratitude to Dadi. Many beautiful bouquets of flowers were presented to Dadi, on behalf of GCH, GRC, Europe, the five continents and Ketanbhai presented flowers on behalf of the three complexes of Madhuban. Dadi Janki then spoke.
Dadi Janki
One finger points to the self:  Who am I? Who is mine and what must I do?  All of you performed many wonderful dramas.  Don't get stuck or dangle anywhere and don't stick to anyone – all of these things are dangerous.  Be carefree, free and always stay happy.  Keep sharing drishti with each other with love and enjoy the treasure and nourishment of happiness.  The nourishment will make you strong, whatever the circumstances. It is all OK.  Transform any situation from a mountain into cotton wool, so it just floats away.  Don't make a little thing big, rather, minimise everything and make it small.
This is the time to dance, not give teachings.  See what Baba is like!  My heart says mera Baba, mithe Baba, pyaare Baba, shukriya Baba.  Seeing this gathering, I am giving thanks to Baba.  Baba has made us all belong to Him and taught us to smile. Thank you Baba for bringing you all into this gathering.
I would like to share a gift with you all today.  You have given me many flowers, so let there be no thorns in your life. The thorn hurts. Let there be no defects. Only roses have such thorns.  A lotus is beautiful and detached from the stagnant water in which it lives – but it doesn't have any fragrance.  See each one's virtues.  Ask yourself: what transformation have I had?   I tell all my brothers and sisters to take a gift to bring about transformation in the self.  What transformation?  Not to see anyone's defect – not to even hear or speak of it.
In the early days, when Baba was in Bombay, a sister brought a model of the three monkeys: hear no evil, see no evil and talk no evil.  Baba liked it and wanted to give it as a gift but it was expensive, 11 rupees.  I went to the shop and they gave them to me for 3 rupees and I took a dozen. Baba said even this was expensive!   So then I went to the village where they were made and bought them for 1 rupee each.  We had them made with three little children instead of monkeys.  Baba added a fourth: think no evil.  This is the gift I want to give you all.  Don't worry or get anxious about anything, then you will keep smiling.  This is Baba's gift and it will work as a lift.  Time is up and it's time to go Home.  Look at the image of the ladder.  We come down the ladder and yet next to the ladder is the lift – the lift to go Home.  In the museum in Madhuban they have this as a very big image.
When the third eye is open, we can be the master of the three worlds.  Then we can see the three aspects of time and the knowledge of the cycle spins in the intellect.  We are sitting below the Tree in meditation, connecting with the Seed and from the Seed becoming the first creation.
I am asked about my religion and I would say that the original eternal religion is of peace and truth and to be sweet.  The hand of blessings is over each one.  So have a happy heart and cool head.  Don't let it get heated and your nature will be easy. This is the gift. Just sit in the lift and you can go right up with no effort.  OK?
Sister Hansa and Sister Jayanti expressed their thanks and love.  Sister Jayanti shared how it was Sister Hansa who never lost sight of Dadi being able to travel and come to London at some point, although no one else could have ever imagined Dadi could make the journey.
Many international teachers then joined the scene on stage for cake cutting. Toli and a very special blessing, in the form of an angel holding a scroll with a ‘blessing' rolled up inside, were then shared with all.

Loving Sentiments for 18th January from BK Nirwair, Madhuban

16 January 2015

Dear divine sisters and brothers across Bharat and the globe,

Please accept hearty greetings of peace and Baba's love.

We have been observing inner quiet from the beginning of January. Most of the sisters and brothers have been very focused on setting the past into the past, and rejuvenating the self spiritually for which collective efforts in meditation and individual attention on karma yoga (yoga in action) have proved to be very beneficial for one and all. It seems like 2015 will be very auspicious for all of us as the clarity of thought about making spiritual endeavours is crystal-clear after listening to the past Avyakt Murlis since October 2014.

Br Raju (Murli Department, Madhuban), on advice of Dadi Jankiji, has brought out a publication containing some of the Avyakt Murlis to be studied and imbibed through the Year. Dadi Jankiji, after returning from Ahemdabad on 13th in better health, was very eager to share those Elevated Versions in other languages and so this has come to you already in English from Jasuben of London.

Our prime focus for this month of January has been Sakar Baba's image of tapasya as an ‘Easy Rajyogi', which would enable us to lead natural lives of being ever-immersed in God's love. The more we have interest in observing the image of togetherness with the One, the more we develop deep feelings of nearness and similarity/ equality with Brahma Baba. As we heard from Baba's versions time to time, He wishes for us to become natural yogis and not hatha yogis or ‘hard yogis'! Just the mantra of two words would serve the purpose: Remain focused and determined while pursuing one's goal. There is no need to falter at any step when we have the Supreme Guide and His Guidance with us. Rather, we should remain ever-elevated and intoxicated in super-sensuous joy and accomplish our goal to become like Sakar Brahma Baba.

This communication is also to convey the good news that our Dadi Jankiji returned to Shantivan few days back in much better health, after receiving treatment from Dr Sudhir Shah, Senior Neuro-Physician, Dr Sudanshu Patwari, Senior Gastro-Enterologist and Dr Shiraz Munshi, Pain Management Specialist. We trust the present medication will aide Dadiji in leading a very meaningful life, as in the past, to serve humanity as she so greatly desires. In our chit-chats, Dadiji had been requested to record her memoirs of 78 years year-wise (if possible!) so that we have an additional record of Yagya History. She is quite enthusiastic about dictating the same, and has already started sharing stories in her classes!

With Godly love, remembrances and blessings from respected Dadi Jankiji, Dadi Gulzarji, Dadi Ratan Mohiniji and the divine family members of Madhuban,

B.K. Nirwair

Giving the Return of the Avyakt Sustenance: A Message from Dadi Janki, plus: A Tapaswi Life Booklet for 2015, The Year of Tapasya

16 January 2015

To BapDada's Dearest Divine family across the globe,

Greetings of love and peace for the powerful Avyakt month of January and the Year of Tapasya.

Now, in 2015, we are celebrating the newness of the New Year with January as the special Avyakt month.

This year, I would like us all to celebrate not just the month of January, but the whole of 2015 as the Year of Tapasya.  By taking power and blessings from this year we can imbibe the qualifications according to our aim.

Our beloved Brahma Baba attained his stage of perfection in the month of January and became a resident of the subtle region. For 46 years, Brahma Baba has come from the subtle region to the corporeal world to make us complete and perfect.  Brahma Baba's desire is to make us the same as himself, and he decorates us with so many teachings to give us the avyakt experience.

Our Beloved Avyakt BapDada has given us avyakt sustenance for so long, and now is the time to give the return by following in the footsteps of Father Brahma.  Definitely have the aim to become the same as Brahma Baba.  For this, let each one have the determined thought to remain introverted and free from waste.

Let every Brahmin child keep a new aim to do intense meditation to experience the different stages of tapasya.  This small booklet has been printed with this in mind to support your practice of tapasya.  Every fortnight, practise and experience a new stage, by doing this collectively the vibrations of so many pure souls will help to transform the tamoguni atmosphere in the world. As we practise in the gathering the atmosphere at every service place will become ayvakt and powerful, through which the revelation of the one Father, the Sun of Knowledge will definitely take place.

My pure wishes are that each and every one of Baba's children becomes an instrument to reveal BapDada through their face and behaviour.  Become an image that grants visions

and enable the drums of victory to beat.  I am sure that each one of you will keep this aim as you study this book carefully and become the embodiment of the points.

With all good wishes for my divine family

In Godly service

B.K. Janki

Note: We have only just received the Hindi manuscript to be able to translate the first four months for us to collectively work on the homework given to us by BapDada. The rest will follow soon. (We have already begun homework for month of January as these points are the at the end of each day's murli and have therefore, not included the points for the month of January with this.)

Deadline Extended for submitting Stories for Dadi's 100th Year Celebration

15 January 2015

Dear Divine Brothers and Sisters,

To celebrate and take inspiration from Dadi Janki's 100th year, we are inviting yogis from all four corners of the globe to sift through the files of their minds and hearts and find a story that celebrates the diamond like way of Dadi Janki. This could be a moment that touched you, shaped you, or unleashed you. It could be a scene you experienced yourself or a scene you observed.

Some brothers and sisters have already begun to generously share their stories with us; stories of magical, inspiring, and heart warming encounters with Dadi. Some are only of moments, but moments that clearly meant so much to the brother or sister who had that experience. The stories will be threaded together like a necklace and names of contributors are not going to be mentioned.

The aim is to select some stories and create spiritual effort for the Brahmin family. With these stories we will celebrate the wondrous brilliance of an exquisite diamond: Dadi Janki. We will take a quality from each story and see how she lived it and take inspiration on how to practice it in our own lives.

In order for the story to be considered for the project, we're requesting that each story be no more than 200 words. Think of this like a verbal painting or photo or portrait of a memory you hold in the sacred file of the heart. We are extending the deadline to January 30th, 2015. Submit your story (limit 200 words) by sending an email to: sustenance@brahmakumaris.org or click HERE and fill out the form.

We hope that the small sample of stories, which can be downloaded from HERE, will help to inspire others to also share their own moments they have experienced with Dadi, with the rest of the family, and in their own way, let Dadi know how much those moments meant.

This web page will give you an idea on why we are requesting these stories and how we will use them.

With Many Blessings and in Remembrance,

Dadi Janki's 100th Year Celebration Team

News from France Re: Recent Incidents in Paris

10 January 2015

Loving greetings.

For the last 48 hours the world is looking toward Paris and the situation unfolding there regarding the terrorist attacks.

Baba has told us many times that things will happen suddenly and that we will see such scenes with our own eyes. Today the French people and the whole world are witnessing the power and the perversity of Kaliyug.

On the positive side, people have come together in solidarity, asserting their value for life. All became "Je suis Charlie" (OM Charlie).

The French family is continuing to serve with the power of our divine vibrations. Thank you all for joining us in this unlimited service.

Om shanti

In Baba's yaad,
Francois and the French Family

Yoga Is Official! United Nations Adopts International Yoga Day

9 January 2015

The United Nations declared June 21st as International Yoga Day, just three months after India's newly-elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi used some of his valuable minutes during his address to the U.N. General Assembly to introduce it. With an unprecedented 177 countries signed on, including the United States, China, France, the United Kingdom and Russia, it might be an indication that the winds are changing. The resolution adopted by the General Assembly garnered a record number of co-sponsors.

In my recent meeting with Minister Sripad Naik of the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy), I saw for myself how incredibly optimistic he and his team are about their work and the role of AYUSH for a wider community. I left our meeting so encouraged to know that India is leading the way and remaining courageous to bring forth, perhaps the most missed agenda item in world policies, that of spirituality.

There are many forms of yoga today and in America alone, there are 155 yogic practices and over 60 million practitioners. India has historically been known for its mysticism, yoga and meditation. During the recent launch of HuffPost India, at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, Arianna Huffington, the chair, president, and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, said to a group of leaders that India is in the unique position to offer the Eastern traditions of meditation and yogic methods to de-stress folks in the West. In this fast moving time, with India moving so fast, both in the East and West, the question here in India, is "Are Indians ready to return to its mystical ways of being as a people and a country, rather than chasing after the Maya of the West?"

Through practicing Raja Yoga, which directs the intellect to connect to the Divine so that the energies of "ALGAE," an acronym I use that represents, Anger, Greed, Lust, Attachment, and Ego, reduces and we become fully awakened in thoughts and actions. The gift of the present day is that we have so many forms of support to choose from to take better care of ourselves. Ultimately, it's about our own consciousness and what serves it best.

I wonder and remain optimistic that International Yoga Day is not only shifting the body, but it becomes an official day where everyone can choose to shift their minds towards a more empowered state. Could this be a means of declaring world peace? One thing is for sure, Prime Minister Modi and his Ministry of AYUSH are leading the world to awaken. To all leaders of the world, are you ready to chant your "OM" and find your own inner peace when you choose to lead?
