Wendy has been a meditator for many years and enjoys recording meditations for children, teens, and adults. She founded Hope Mountain, a social enterprise that provides innovative resources and training for teachers and other care professionals to help them reach into the inner world of disadvantaged children and adults.

Youth Group of Brahma Kumaris Receives London Faith and Belief Community Award 2020

London (UK): The Youth Group of Brahma Kumaris London was recognised for services to and for faith and belief communities in Greater London.
The Brahma Kumaris were given this award for the “Live Morning Meditations” program offered daily to the public during lockdown from the London Faith and Belief Forum. The category was for ‘Community Resourcefulness’ in response to COVID-19 and the BK London Youth team received this award.
News from Jayantiben in London: 21 December

On Saturday at 4 pm, the Prime Minister announced that London and the South-East of England would be coming into what they describe as ‘Tier 4’. This means that there are a lot more restrictions for the time being, and in particular over the Christmas period, so it isn’t even possible for a family from one household to meet with their families from another household.
However, communal worship can still continue, and so our plan is to have Morning Class on Friday, Christmas Day, and share a box of Goodies with each one of Baba’s family. But we will then actually close Baba’s house from 11 am through the day. Since 1991, Christmas has been quite a highlight in Global House, with lunch for the family and a lot of Christmas festivity, but this time it’s going to be a very quiet Christmas, and probably time for each one to do more inner work with Baba.
Morning Class will continue every day and the House will of course be open again from 26 December. Every day has unexpected new information coming through. This sudden change in Christmas plans for the UK has happened because apparently there is a new variant of the COVID-19 virus, which is able to transmit more quickly than any other variant. They say it’s not more deadly, and the vaccines will still work, but let’s see further.
Several European countries, and others as far away as Canada and India have stopped all incoming flights from the UK to try and prevent the entry of this variant virus into their countries. All road, Euro-Tunnel trains and human transportation between the UK and Continental Europe have also stopped, so we are watching the drama, and continuing to hold Baba’s hand.

News from Jayantiben in London: 19 December

We’ve just heard that there is a new variant of the COVID-19 virus that’s spreading in particular in the South-East of England; Christmas was going to be a relaxation of rules for families to come together, but in fact, it’s now become extreme, so we are now in what is described as ‘Tier 4’ for London and several parts of the UK.
We will see how things impact Baba’s family, but certainly, for the moment Places of Worship continue to stay open. Each day brings new dramas...
