NEW TIME for the Creating Nurturing Spaces for the Self and Others Course for regular BKs of the Americas
19 January 2022
Dear Brothers & Sisters, Om shanti and loving greetings.
Since November of 2019, Sister Diane has been doing a Creating Nurturing Spaces course for BK instrument teachers. This has been done for Baba’s instruments who wished to take it in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The thought now is: Why not offer it to all interested BKs? So we have planned to hold the course over eight Sundays, beginning on January 23, 2022 at 12:00 noon EST for BKs in The Americas. More information can be found below.
An outline of the Creating Nurturing Spaces Course:
In Zoom groups BKs are invited to visualize what they want in themselves, their relationships with each other, and with the wider family. A model is then presented that was initially created for Living Values Education and adapted for BKs, that is, whatever the dharna, positive or negative, when we treat others in such a way that they feel loved, respected, valued, understood and safe, they will move toward their potential, that is, toward more soul consciousness and becoming complete.
Topics and processes include:
Filling out the Dharna Model, mind mapping one of the negatives, such as gossip, looking at what we can do to eliminate gossip and encourage seeing the qualities of souls, how to give genuine appreciation, active listening as a tool to help create safe spaces and build relationships, how “differences” can create splitting and how we can avoid that and create safe sharing and a feeling of belonging. There are also a couple of sessions to explore looking at our own hurt and how to manage that and take Baba’s love to heal.
In other sessions, we explore anger. Masana will explore the dynamics under anger, a few methods to transform our own anger, and will ask the group to create a continuum of the anger of others — be it with the BKs, family, contacts or strangers. Then we will look at how to deal with a variety of situations with souls who are angry with a variety of skills which are related to being loving, caring, respectful, valued and keeping safe. The latter includes the importance of building good relationships, setting limits and a four-step correction process. A foundation for trust, a forgiveness exercise, and looking at taking care of the self in other ways are also included.
Time commitment:
Each of the eight sessions on Zoom are two hours. There is one session a week. The sessions are not recorded in order to safeguard confidentiality and create a safe place for discussion.

All of us have been on a journey of experience – perhaps for many lifetimes. These experiences influence our thoughts, our feelings, our words, the way we interact with the world, and ultimately our self-perception. But there is also another part of us – a pure, original self that continues with us on our journey. As we move along, the influence of our experience can dominate this original self and become an obstacle to living a pure life of love, peace, wisdom and joy Join us as we learn to recognize and accept the influence of our experience but claim the power to let our original highest self become the master.

Creating Nurturing Spaces for the Self and Others - Course for regular BKs of the Americas
6th January 2022
Om shanti and loving greetings.
Many of Baba’s instruments in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East, and Asia took the Creating Nurturing Space for the Self and Others sessions on Zoom with Sister Diane in the latter half of 2020.
It was thought that it would be beneficial to offer it to all BKs. You are welcome to extend the following invitation to the BK family in your area if you wish. Sr Masana, who is on the BK Mental Health Advisory Group, will be facilitating the eight session course beginning in January 2022.
Also, Dr. Sarah is willing to facilitate a Nurturing My Self-Compassion weekend retreat for individual (or groups of) countries, with four or five two-hour sessions. They would need to organize the practical details and technology. NCs or NCT members may contact Sarah to arrange timing and details at sarah.eagger@uk.brahmakumaris.org.
With love,
In Baba's yaad,
Mohini Didi
