Blue Mountains Retreat Centre December Programs
31 October 2020
Dear Friends
Greetings of peace.
We trust you are well and enjoying the beautiful flowers and fragrances of Spring.
The year is drawing to a close. The days are now becoming warmer.
Here is a lovely quote from Dadi Janki, past Administrative Head of Brahma Kumaris who passed away earlier this year, aged 104 years.
"If I am able to step back calmly from situations and simply observe without judgement or criticism, I will begin to "Know" what I must do.
I ask myself: To what extent will this benefit all concerned?"
We hope you can join us for a retreat. We are practising social distancing and sanitising our hands before entering rooms.
Take care.
Warmest wishes for good health and happiness,
Sally and the Blue Mountains team

Online 12-Hour Meditation on UN World Food Day (16 October) by Brahma Kumaris Australia
19 October 2020
An Environment Special Interest Group in Australia has created a very beautiful program in honour of UN World Food Day on Friday 16th October.
The Brahma Kumaris Australia are hosting a 12-hour meditation from 8 am-8 pm on Friday 16th October to help bring more awareness about how food is produced, the many components in our food chain, and to support the great efforts by all of our ‘Food Heroes’ who play a part in making wholesome, nutritious food available to everyone. We support World Food Day and its efforts to recognise and support farmers, transporters, sellers, gardening magazines, food banks, etc., who play important parts in our food chain.
We also acknowledge that when we demand nutritious and healthy food and support best practices in growing and delivering food, like supporting farmers markets, locally grown foods, etc., then good quality food will be produced more and more and lead to a more healthy society. People are invited to join the 12-hour meditation at any time, even for 15 minutes, to send vibrations of gratitude and support to Mother Nature and all of our Food Heroes. http://brahmakumaris.org.au
You are invited to join in at some time during the day between 8 am – 8 pm (Sydney time) at http://tiny.cc/worldfood2020 to lend your support in sending uplifting and appreciative energy to all of those involved in producing food and ensuring people around the world have food to eat.
The program highlights the need to be economical and to minimize wastage, simple living, connection with each other and nature, gratitude, compassion, and care for others. It includes talks and meditations by some BKs and some enlightening talks by others involved in helping to produce our food and support our community with food. You can see one of the stories here

Spiritual Birthdays Celebrated by Brahma Kumaris in Thailand
7 October 2020
Sukumvit, Bangkok( Thailand ): The Brahma Kumaris of Sukumvit in Bangkok celebrated the Spiritual Birthdays of members of their fraternity, in preparation for the coming Golden Age. A Spiritual Birthday marks the day an individual becomes aware of the real identity of the Self and the Supreme Soul and starts its spiritual journey. For the coming 21 months, this process will be continued at this centre.
Part of September and October this year fall in the extra month or ‘Adhik Maas’ or ‘Purushottam Maas’ of the lunar calendar. This month is dedicated to intense spiritual practices. In view of this, and in preparation for the coming Navaratri Festival dedicated to the Divine Feminine, the Bangkok centre took this initiative.
On this occasion, special ‘Bhog’ or Divine Food was prepared and served to all. Amidst Om chanting, members of the BK Divine family practiced emerging their deity form in meditation.

September Newsletter, Wilton Retreat Center (Illawara)
29 September 2020
Greetings one and all !
Peace
What does it 'look like' ?, how does it 'feel'?
Does it ask me for protection, or does it protect me?
We celebrated the United Nations International Day of Peace, September 21
...what about September 20 and 22nd?
Peace is the original state, the original quality, the original 'religion' of the soul.
When we live in the awareness of this true peace, the result is the 'speciality' of contentment.
Contentment within the self, enables us to find harmony with everyone, so I am centered and not afraid of anyone's nature or character. Contented souls connect to others inner nature of peace and contentment, and induce natural love.
Recently we celebrated the anniversary of the Centre for Spiritual Learning, here at Wilton, for 21 years!
We enjoyed a lovely day, and we send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has visited, helped and supported the Centre over those wonderful years.
There are a few retreats coming up, and we are trying to allow some new people to attend, as places are still limited
With kind regards,
from all the 'Wilton Centre Team'

Please feel free to invite your friends and family to this event - and note that they will need to register separately through the booking site: tiny.cc/unpeaceday2020
