Sister Jayanti - 18th January 2022 - Revision of Avyakt Murli

23 February 2022

Q: Om Shanti. When Baba became avyakt, Dadi Kumarka sent Sandeshi Dadi into trance. The message that Sandeshi Dadi brought back was simple; Brahma Baba's soul is with me and you children just make effort. Simply make effort. Move forward. Santri Dadi was sharing how that last murli on 18th evening was all about dharna. Baba saying don't criticise anybody, and it's good if somebody criticises you because they point out your weakness. Then it's good that you know your weakness so you can make effort. You know they are your friend - Baba said don't take revenge on those who insult you. Baba was saying think about the self and don't think about others. Right till the end Baba was really trying to give the last piece of advice to the children. Chandrubehn of San Francisco often mentions that everybody would be competing to hold Baba's hand when they went walking and when she held Baba's hand it felt like cotton wool. What  about the effect of tapasya on the bones or on the body, on the body consciousness?

A: Om shanti. Since we last met all of you have participated in the global silence bhatti for 3 days and the aim had been 8 hours of tapasya each day. Maybe some of you managed it. Maybe not every day but maybe one or two of the days 8 hours was possible and you had a digital detox. And so, all of that was a beautiful preparation for 18th January. We're taking up the murli that Baba spoke this time in Madhuban on the video 18th January. But it was actually spoken by Baba on the 18th January 2011. Dadi Kumarka had been avyakt. There was a new scene of drama going on. Dadi Janki was now the person responsible. Everybody again must have sat up in yoga from early morning. Here in London we were very, very much engaged with that global bhatti. And at 0300 in the morning we'd be in Baba's room, and then 0400 we'd be in the auditorium. Each day we had a lovely, lovely gathering. So, that's the context because Baba started by saying that, even before 0400 Baba was seeing that all the children were sitting in remembrance. Baba was seeing the garlands of love that the children were putting on Baba. Baba was thinking about the praise that the children had, the thanks the children were giving. Also maybe the tears of love that were shining in people's eyes. At that time in front of Avyakt BapDada there would have been many, many who had those tears in their eyes. So Baba's seeing that, all the children are really filled with a huge amount of love for Father Brahma. And Baba reminds us that, that love is the love through which we belong to the Father.

As we experience that love, we say my Baba and Baba's able to say my child. And so love is the easy way. The spiritual love that Baba shows us, is the way in which we belong to the Father and the Father belongs to us. This is the love through which we're able to attain all the treasures. God our Father, shares all of his treasures with us just as soon as we say my Baba we claim the right to all those treasures instantly. Baba doesn't keep anything back at all. It is this love that protects us from all other attractions because this love allows us to become deeply soul conscious, and liberates us from the bondage of the physical consciousness that we have been trapped in. The power of this love is amazing! Once you love Baba then there's also the experience of receiving power from Baba - smrti. The day of remembrance, 18th January is also the day of power becaus this is the day when the Father who inspires everything to be done  brings the children onto the stage of world service, and continues to serve through the children. The children become the doers but the one above is the One who’ is inspiring and making it all happen. So truly, from that day onwards Baba is in the subtle region, Shiv Baba with him there, then the Dadi's took centre stage, Didi Man Mohini and Dadi Kumarka took centre stage. But they also then brought in all the other Dadis to be with them.

So, a day in which Baba said he was giving the children the responsibility. And, as children keep this awareness of being the instrument and having that humility, then this deals with the ego of 'I' that we have had for half a cycle. Just imagine thousands of years of ego and Baba gives us just this very short space of time to deal with all of it. Let me be able to take that from Baba and experience it. And then I'll be able to see how through that awareness of being a humble instrument there is success at all times. The fruit of that humility is that success shines on your forehead. Then, Baba also said that, Baba is so pleased seeing the children. And Baba sees that all the children have the same aim and the aim is to become like the Father. And it was very interesting because today, Baba was putting these two aspects that normally we would say are quite separate - Baba was putting two aspects together; Father Brahma in the angelic stage but also Father Brahma here in the physical world in this stage of jeevan mukti. Baba was saying yes this is your aim isn't it, to attain the angelic stage? But it was clear that Baba was also saying to achieve that stage of jeevan mukti now and then the angelic stage will be with you. So the stage of jeevan mukti. Brahma Baba having huge responsibilities for the whole of the yagya, all the children, inspiring them to become yogis, supporting them, helping them, enabling them to move forward, sharing ideas for service and encouraging the children to do all of that and yet no bondages. Baba's spirit is free and easy, absolutely filled with lightness, and so in the body yet a life of liberation. The jeevan mukti stage is the practice today that allows us to come to this stage of the angel. Then Baba seems to have given everybody some homework and was now asking the results of that homework in saying that yes, some of the zones have sent in their results. What Baba noticed was that you are yogis but not constant yogis. You are keeping that aim but you don't constantly keep that aim. And so, Baba then expressed a very, very pure loving desire - when you love someone you want to give them a gift. And so here was Baba asking us for a gift. And Baba being Baba, Baba's not going to ask for a gift for himself. Neither Baba is going to ask for something for themselves. But, it's actually a gift that allows us to take a huge leap forward. Because Baba said, your memorial is that you have become the conquerors of the mind and the conqueror's of the world. And so, this is my pure desire that you give me this as a gift. That you follow through in this homework so that then you can be a constant yogi and become an example of following in the Father's footsteps. And that challenge, just as you're able to be in charge of each and every single one of your sense organs, in this same way, can you take charge and be in control of your mind? Your thoughts? Or is it that sometimes the mind becomes the master and controls you? Or are you able to be the soul, the master in charge of the mind? Make your mind become your cooperative companion so that you don't treat the mind in a bad way but you give love to the mind. Treat it as a cooperative companion which you definitely make sure that you, the soul, are in charge. And in that stage then, you won't complain to Baba and say, Baba I still have waste thoughts. What can I do about it? No. You've given Baba the gift of love. Experience the benefit of the gift and take charge of the mind. Practice your homework. Sometimes you say, I'm going to  sit in yoga for an hour. Are you able to manage that? Or is it that you manage for a little while and then stray thoughts come from here and there and create a disturbance in yoga. Or can you say I'm going to sit in yoga for an hour and be sure that you're able to achieve that? The mind is now your friend. The mind is now going to be obedient to you, and so you take charge of everything. Baba was also talking about how, yes Baba knows that sometimes it's possible for the soul not to have that courage, not to have that power. But Baba made an offer; think of Baba in whichever relationship it is you want and Baba will cooperate with you. Baba will support you and give you that experience. So sometimes Baba is the Father. Sometimes Baba is the child - play with your child. Sometimes Baba can be your friend. And so, experiment with different ways so that then each hour you're able to occupy your mind in a different way. For example, you have two hours in which there's a lot of activity, a lot of karma to be done but can you do that activity as a karma yogi? You're doing the actions, but your heart is connected with Baba. And so Baba's saying that, when you love Baba and your heart is filled with love as it is today,I think everybody would say a very special feeling of love emerged in a very real and tangible way. Baba knew that not only is it that some souls had not met sakar Baba, but I was reflecting that, Baba knew that some souls have not even had the opportunity of meeting Avyakt Baba, and they won't have that opportunity.

Baba was coming and at that time it seemed normal that Baba would come every season, Baba would meet us every two weeks. It was part of our routine. But Baba knew that there was going to come a time in the yagya when Baba would not even be able to give that example and say, well you've seen Avyakt BapDada's love and actions, and how Baba was able to demonstrate everything through the avyakt form. And so Baba didn't say that. I was expecting Baba would say that that's, but Baba didn't say that. Baba said, you have been able to recognise BapDada through your intellect, through your understanding and your awareness. And so that definitely applies now.

Now it's with understanding and that practical awareness of Baba's presence and love. Baba said that's available to all of you at all times. Experience that presence with Baba through your intellect and when Baba said this to everybody in Madhuban - everybody put up their hands - yes, we feel Baba's presence, we recognise Baba through the intellect. But especially today, now at this moment, if I want to keep Baba with me, what am I going to do? Can I run to a video and play that? Well, if you have the possibility it is fine but it may be that you don't have that possibility. So just go back in here and understand who Baba is, and come to that awareness of Baba's presence and you will be able to feel Baba being with you. Baba was also emphasising that the thing that Baba loved was the murli. And, such an amazing understanding that our teacher comes from so far away to teach us every day. And again, I don't think that applies just to sakar Baba's times. I think it applies very much to current times also. I think everybody's now got into that habit of a long period of meditation before murli. I know that here we encourage everybody to come at 0600am and if not at 0600am, okay, a few minutes later. But certainly not just on the dot of 0630am when the murli begins. Prepare the mind so that then there's that stage of awareness of the soul, of Baba's presence and invocation of Baba the teacher, and in that consciousness when you hear the murli, you see the thread of the murli, you experience the beauty and joy of the murli. Baba loved the murli, and the Teacher comes from so far away every day to teach you. You can feel Baba coming from far away to be with us in each and every gathering. Even if it's a little gathering Baba's there with you. If it's a big gathering, of course very powerfully, you can feel Baba's presence. I've also remembered when Brahma Baba was sometimes in Bombay and he hadn't been well, and Baba would still write the murli, send it to Mama and Mama would read it, digest it and share it. Baba loved the murli so much that Baba never ever missed a murli. And so, when I love the murli as much then yes, if I can't remember the point of light, if I can't remember that angelic form in front of me all the time, let me remember something from the murli. If I can remember something from the murli, the magic One who’s related those magical words, that magical music comes to mind, and I'm connected with Baba. And so Baba was using the way in which he remembers Baba. I'm remembering the versions of Baba all of the time. And so the same method for all of us also.

So, very much an 18th January murli in which Baba expresses his love, but also expresses his hopes for the children, and gives the children instructions on how to be able to fully fill BapDada's hopes for us. When there is that bond of love then if the One you love asks you to do something, then there's an inspiration that comes in your heart - this is what I really want to do to please my Baba. So, can I do that? Can I be rid of all waste thoughts? Can I just have nothing but Baba and Baba's music in my mind, in my awareness all the time? And then yes, I'll be safe. I'll be protected. Nothing else will touch me and I'll experience liberation in life here and now, not a promise for the future, but, taking all my rights from Baba and claiming those rights, and experiencing that and becoming that. So, a very powerful and very sweet, very loving murli. This was the summary of this murli that we heard on the 18th January.

Q: Could maybe explain exactly how Baba works through us like we are karanhar, and he's Karavanhar?

A: When I get an inspiration for some service, and I realise that it's Baba whose giving me that inspiration, and when I share it with others and everybody says yes, and there's agreement. Then again it's confirmation that that inspiration came from Baba, and then things begin to happen. You're doing the work that you need to do, contacting people, x, y, z, whatever, whatever, yet you know that there's another energy that's moving through you and making things happen. If you keep remembering this then that energy continues to flow. Right from the beginning there's a beautiful inspiration and I think oh, I'm so good, I'm so creative, my intellect is really good so I put Baba aside, and I say it's my idea. And when I present it to others, there will be blocks because it's my idea. There won't be that receptivity, and there won't be that support and cooperation. Then it'll be hard work, hard work, hard work. I'm just thinking about the Million Minutes Appeal. Somebody had an idea in Australia; a group picked it up in London and ran with it. And at first, we thought it was only going to be for the UK, then in Madhuban when we presented it, at least 28 countries who were there in Madhuban at the time instantly said can we also join in? And, it just began to snowball. No budget, no facilities, no nothing, not a desk! And how did it happen? It really was Karankaravanhar that was making it happen. The doors were opening, sponsors were coming. And we did work. It's not that we just sat back, and said, oh Baba's doing it all. And Aruna you were very much with us in London at the time, so you know how hard we had to work, because once you get something in motion you have to follow it through and make sure that it is of the calibre. You have to give it the attention that it deserves, and so we all chipped in. And seven Peace Messenger Awards from the United Nations from an NGO that had no budget, had no paid staff, and very few professionals at that time. How did it happen? It must have been Karankaravanhar who made it happen. I think we were all so aware it's Baba's work, Baba's doing it. And, we could feel that there was a very different energy that was at work. There were hurdles and we managed to deal with all of them all along. And yes, it was amazing to see how everything evolved. So, that's one classic example of Karankaravanhar. How could you have found sponsors? People didn't know us. How did it all happen? It just did. It happened. It became the largest non fund-raising project of the UN, for The International Year of Peace, so amazing. And then two years later we started Global Cooperation for a Better World. And that became probably the largest research project ever undertaken by an NGO. I think that that record still stands today, probably today reaching 128 countries when we existed only in 60 countries. And, again, amazing! Kings and Queens and Princes and Princesses and politicians, and leper colonies and shoeshine boys, everybody participated in the top right down to the grassroots. It was amazing. Karankaravanhar.

Q: I remember sometimes Dadi would send us at 0500 in the morning to the office because that's where the telex machine was. And, so if she wanted to send a telex we'd have to go to Baker Street. If Baba's doing it, if Baba's getting it done - does it not go into his account?

A: No because like I explained you had to get up and get ready and run to the office at 0500 in the morning. That wasn't Baba doing that. So that was your effort and so you definitely were creating your good fortune and your good karma through all of that. Yes, we had to become the conquerors of sleep. And we had to make sure that we were on the ball and we had our meetings, making sure that we were all on the same page. And there was total clarity amongst all of us. So, that was all our effort and work. But, if Baba hadn't planted the seed and opened the doors and allowed facilities to start flowing we couldn't have made it happen. So Baba did what he needed to do. But we had to do what we needed to do.

Q; Could we talk about the subtle regions for a moment, being avyakt month, and around 18th. What does Baba do all day in the subtle region? His role, his form, could you speak about that?

A: Since Baba became avyakt, the speed of service has actually increased by 1000 fold. 400 something centres when Baba became avyakt and a gathering of a few 1000 people. And today, a million and 4000 centres in India alone. Then we keep getting asked the question - how many centres abroad because more centres keep popping up. Things keep shifting and changing. As a rough guess, probably about 2000 centres abroad and, at least a million Brahmins across the world now. Baba has been touching souls. Baba has been inspiring his instruments. Also Baba has been awakening souls. And so, the first centres started outside Bharat only after Baba became avyakt. The first delegation coming abroad I know that Dadi Prakashmani, Dadi Ratan Mohini and Dada Anand Kishore had gone off to Japan and that had been specifically to attend a conference. They stayed in the east and visited many, many different places. It wasn't really an organised tour in the way that, when the first delegation came abroad. Avyakt Baba himself would say this is the first delegation. That was June 1971, just a couple of years after Baba became avyakt. Prior to that, it was clear that Baba had been preparing the ground, sending someone to London, sending someone to Hong Kong. Brahmins who could then start digging the ground and preparing the soil. When the first delegation came it was amazing to see how much service happened and it was Baba. It was avyakt Baba doing all of that.

If I look at it in a very pragmatic way, think about centres in Japan. There at 0400 and then through the whole day, the whole globe and you finally land up in Hawaii. And we have Brahmins there too. So even just meeting the Brahmins at 0400 Baba has been kept very occupied going around the globe, and fulfilling his promise to meet the Brahmin family at 0400. So just that would take up the whole day. But apart from that, yes when we can invoke Baba I'll give you an example. One particular individual and she used to ask me the question, but how does sakaash work? And I would tell her that, when we remember Baba and we hold a soul in front of Baba just for a moment, and then we go back to Baba, and we just put that soul in front of Baba. And she then had at some point, a very severe accident in which her ankle bone was really broken and it took months and months to heal. But, she said she was amazed, she felt no pain at all through that whole period - no pain. And, a huge amount of support from Baba. And so she says, yes I believe Baba was giving me sakaash and the family was remembering Baba and sending me those good wishes. And it worked! Now, that's just one story. Many different stories about how somebody's on the brink and Baba touches them to do something, and the door opens. Good things begin to happen. Very practical things. So, I see that wherever we love Baba, and at any moment that we need Baba, Baba becomes available, becomes present. One of the things that Baba had said in the message out of the 13 days period - Baba said that, while Baba was sakar there was a certain amount of time that Baba had to give to the body Brahma Baba. And it would be, whether it was for rest, whether it would be for medication, whether it was for exercise, for food for whatever, whatever, whatever, all the personal needs that the body demands. And so Baba had to do all of that. But now becoming avyakt, Baba doesn't have to give any time at all for himself. He's available totally to be there when you need him wherever it is you are - it just depends on the love in your heart and Baba becomes present. The simple thing that everybody I'm sure has experienced to a certain extent or another, some of you were shy, some of you are maybe not so shy, but, you've been given a great opportunity and you have butterflies. You think well, how am I going to do this? This is more than my capacity. I've never done this before. You remember Baba with love. And you remember it's Baba's task. Then the moment comes, you've made your preparation but the moment comes, and it's amazing what starts to flow out. Things that maybe you hadn't even thought about beforehand begin to emerge. And afterwards you say that, must have been Baba, it just wasn't me. And so many things like this. A person writing music. A person doing some artwork. And, again something exquisite magical happens and you say that must have been Baba. So I don't think it's our imagination. I don't think it's just an expression in words. I think it's a very real experience. And, I think Baba can be in many places sending his energy in many different places at the same time. Because we're talking about an angel who knows no boundaries, the Supreme Being who is the Almighty Authority and the two of them working together bringing about transformation.

I'll give you one simple question that I was asked, somebody said to me, and this is somebody new, said we've been gradually, gradually coming down. And yes, I see how values have deteriorated just in my lifetime, (she must have been in her 60's). And, now you're saying it's possible for God to transform us. She believed in rebirth. She's from an Indian origin. So she believed in rebirth anyway and she could see Kaliyug. She understands the term Kaliyug. So there were already things that had prepared her for this question in a sense. So she said, we've come all the way from Satyug to Kaliyug and even in my lifetime I've seen so much negative change happen in terms of values and responsibilities, and how people treat each other. And you're telling me that within just a short space of time we can bring about transformation? And I reminded her of that saying that comes in the Granth because she also understood that. I'll share with you the expression from the Granth - Mano se dir tha kya kartene lagivaar. What that means is that, it doesn't take God long to transform a human being into a deity. That comes in the Sikh scriptures, the Granth. And, it's there. It's a memorial. And a memorial of whom, of what? Of Baba. And so we've been coming down, down, down, down. And in the space of one birth less than one birth for most of us, and God's able to make us into deities. It's God's power at work - Karankaravanhar. I've been talking a lot about service and Karankaravanhar in terms of self transformation. When I came to Baba, young in age, no experience; and gradually not just experience but discovery of my own sanskars. And today, where am I? And where was I then? And the sanskars were not all surfaced at that time, but gradually they began to surface. Could have I done it on my own? So who's helping me? It's Baba. It's BapDada. Both of them together. And so there's a huge amount of work that BapDada accomplished in that short space of time of Sangamyug.

Q: So he's very busy so that's good.

A: Are you thinking he's just sitting in an armchair?

Q: No, no it's just good to feel what he's doing. When we meditate again, some people have this question - what do I need to go to the soul world to experience Shiv Baba? Can I experience Shiv Baba through Brahma Baba in the subtle region? Can we clarify that, whether we can or not? And their relationship?

A: It's different stages of experience and both are vital. You can't say only one is important and not the other. Some say that I like going to the soul world and just being with Shiv Baba. I find that when they don't have that relationship with Brahma Baba as the instrument, they're not as robust. They're not as strong as the ones who do have that relationship with Baba. It's a little bit dry if it's just going to Shiv Baba in Paramdham. And the others, if there isn't that experience of going to Paramdham, connecting with Baba, there isn't that power. It's going to be very difficult for them to just fly away from here and go home because Baba emphasised that just recently - you have to keep practicing this bodiless stage, the incorporeal stage to be able to go home easily at the end. To understand that everything has now come to its conclusion. It's time to go home and I fly. Instead of trying to struggle out of the consciousness of the body. And so, what I'm doing when I go to the subtle region? I'm experiencing BapDada in the subtle dimension, I'm able to take on my own angelic costume of light, and I experience BapDada in all the loving relationships that Baba can offer me through Brahma Baba. This whole aspect of relationships in a sense is a very human experience. It was very beautiful when Baba said a few weeks ago, Baba is the biggest householder of all. So, Baba's family, Baba's household is huge, huge, huge. But, the only time that God experiences being a householder is in Sangamyug, and so the experience of the subtle region, all my relationships with one. The beauty, the joy and the attainments of all those relationships come to me at this time. And yes, it's important to go to Paramdham - the seed form. The seed form is the stage in which truly it's just me and incorporeal God and the fire of yoga, the fire of love, in which the sins of the past are burned away. So one is this strengthening of my connection, my relationship with BapDada. But also then that stage where absolute immersion in that Ocean of Love, Ocean of Purity in which I'm cleansed and all the things of the past are settled. I need to have both experiences. I can't manage with just one. One is actually a stepping stone to the other. And whichever is easiest, begin with that. For some it's easier to just focus on incorporeal God. Fine. For others, it's easier to think about Shiv Baba giving drishti through the eyes of Brahma and being drawn to that connection with God through Brahma Baba. It's interchangeable so you can be in one, it can be the other and come back to one, but both experiences are absolutely vital in my development.

Q: Beautiful. Thank you Jayanti behn. So what is the difference between avyakt and bodiless?

A: The avyakt stage is that stage that I just mentioned. I go to the subtle region and I experience my own subtle costume. Baba said something very lovely the other day - bring that experience back with you here and create the subtle region here. Because the subtle avyakt form can do action, that's engagement in everything. It's also the stage in which you're not attached. The physical form - and you get attached. The avyakt form - you're doing everything and there's no attachment. The bodiless stage is free from the body, completely in that experience of Paramdham. I am the bodiless soul connected with Shiv Baba the being who never has a body of His own, and so it's a different experience. Even if I don't manage to get to Paramdham, the first step towards that experience is - here I am, I come to the awareness of the soul, and I take my consciousness away. I'm here, and I'm seeing, I'm the observer of this physical form, but I'm learning about detachment in that way. The lovely expression that Baba used recently again was; soul and body are actually separate. And the soul can exist on its own without the body. So through my consciousness -  I'm not leaving the body -  I'm still very much breathing and everything is functioning but my consciousness can move out and experience that state of being completely separate. Detached from this body.

Q: That's very nice. I think if we practice it we'll feel it.

A: It's this thing that you know we hear these words and we enjoy it. We get busy with many other things. But, I need to have time to practice the things that Baba's talking about in the murlis. The more I practice it, the more it becomes my experience. So you know when Baba says, aap no gauche to no sharchari? When you grind your own, then you get the real ingredients that are going to give you that intoxication. And so yes, I'm thinking about it, I'm churning it, I'm grinding it. But beyond the grinding, I'm actually practising it.

Q: It's a very lovely experience; just sitting really right close up to the Tower of Peace, the exact tower under the canopy and thinking of Baba. When we experiment it works.

The murli was all about conquering the mind, if you conquer the mind in a way you conquer the world. On the one hand Baba said, tame it with love, and Baba also said, give it an order. So sometimes love doesn't work. Sometimes, you have to be tough, assertive. So what is your experience with this? When to use love? When to use assertiveness?

A: I think that you definitely need both. When I see my mind wandering off somewhere then can I gently bring it back again and say, now this is where I have to be? And if it keeps wandering off then I have to say, no I'm not going to let it go there, it has to be here. And so I'm using love and being assertive, being powerful, controlling. It's control of the self, not an external form of control on any level whatsoever. Sometimes when we use this word control we abuse the word, but it's actually controlling the self, disciplining my own mind. Baba’s said, you've let it be free for too long. So this is why it's not in your control, and now start practicing, exercising, using the powers that Baba gives you, the spiritual powers. Use that. An example, using the power of tolerance: somebody has said something, and it's playing in my mind. It keeps coming back again and again. Can I, at that moment, just say okay my heart is big, Baba's given me so much?  I don't need to think about them. I can just simply let it go and forgive them. It doesn't matter. And then, with that power of tolerance just finish that story, and let the mind then become quiet and be with Baba. So, use all the different powers to keep the mind where it should be. For example, when there hasn't been clarity in discernment and I'm thinking maybe this, maybe that, maybe that, maybe that. At that moment, when it's a question of looking at and evaluating things, can I be with Baba? And take that power from Baba and understand clearly what those choices are, and then make my decision? That I'm not repeating, and going over the same track a thousand times? So that moment I'm using that power of discernment and the power of decision making. If in my discernment I see that there are things that are very uncertain that I don't know about, then I can say okay, I'll find out later and then I'll look at this again. Not to rehash things again and again and again, and procrastinate my decision - it's not very useful. It's a lot of waste of energy. Where I could be moving forward and using my time in a constructive way, using the energy of my mind in a constructive way, I'm losing energy. And I want to connect it with one of the murli's earlier because Baba's given us different methods at different times. One thing that I keep remembering is where Baba has said, where there's waste thoughts, you're losing your energy and you're not able to accumulate and store within yourself. In that state when you're losing, losing, losing you begin to feel empty and this is where there's discontentment, no happiness and no attainment, and then you become disheartened. If I understand what Baba's telling me, and start practicing what Baba wants me to practice, then I will come to this state of contentment. Otherwise I think I've been doing this for 10 or 20 years, plus, plus, plus, and  I feel as if I've got nothing, but it's because I've been receiving, it's not that Baba didn't give me, I've received it but I haven't kept it constant. I've allowed it to be drained. So surely now at this moment in Sangamyug, literally at the end of the kalpa, I have to really fill myself so that I can carry that attainment with me through the cycle.

Q: So beautiful Jayanti behn. Thank you so much. Somebody's asking that Baba has trained you to become soul conscious, can you share your experience of that?

A: It's a constant effort and you know, it's like the garden, you've got a beautiful garden one moment, and you turn your back and get busy with other things and the weeds start growing. The habit of the body and body consciousness is just constant because everything in Kaliyug and everything at the end of the cycle is pulling us into matter. It takes constant attention. The time of traffic control is a blessing. Take it as a blessing. It's a time to renew that awareness so that again at least for some minutes of the next hour I can be in that awareness. I don't think there's another method that can make us soul conscious quickly. But just this - checking at traffic control time. And it's really a blessing to be able to have traffic control. So, even if you're at work or you're in another situation, find a way in which there can be a gentle reminder through your phone. Phone's carry so much information now and can do so many things. I'm sure you can find a setting that gives you a ping or a buzz or something every hour on the hour. Then it's a reminder for you. And that soul conscious stage then can stay with you to a certain extent.

Q: Somebody's asking who actually lit the fire, and Dadi Kumarka lit the fire. Would you like to share that story?

A: Dadi Sandeshi was there with Dadi Prakashmani when Baba left, and so this is why the first question went to her.The next thing that Dadi did was just phone Dadi Gulzar and tell her to come immediately. And so at 0930 she got the call and by next morning 1100 she's there in Abu.The message is everything that happened, the first message: somebody go and organise that the funeral should be on sacred land in Pandav Bhawan. Send everybody a message that if they want to come they can come if they're asking to come. Don't make any arrangements for time and date. Let the family come. So everyday was instructions, instructions. Just have continuous yoga etc, etc. And, everything was unfolding as Baba wanted it to. And the last day, then the question about who should light the fire and Shiv Baba's message that Dadi Prakashmani should light it. It goes against all the traditions and customs in India and generally in Hinduism to do that. But it was such a clear direct message, that that's what happened. Even then the final discussion about who should offer bhorg that evening because there were a number of senior trance messengers, more senior than Dadi Gulzar. But, they all said, no. Dadi Pushpa Shanta said no. Dadi Santri said no. Sheel Indra Dadi said no. Then finally Dadi Kumarka looked at Dadi Gulzar and said, Gulzar, you're not going to let me down? And she said, ji Dadi, I'll do it. And so she was the one who was then selected as the person who offered that first bhorg to Shiv Baba and  the rest is history. So this is the story that Dadi Gulzar herself related to us. And this is how you know because Neelu asked her the question, how is it that you were selected as the transmessenger for offering bhorg? And so she shared the story.

Q: Thank you so much, so nice to hear these stories Jayantibehn

Sister Jayanti – 20th February 2022 am GCH Think Clearly, Speak Slowly and Sweetly

20 February 2022

Om Shanti Good morning.

When we look at the original date of Baba’s Avyakt Murli, we often wonder and ask ourselves the question:  I heard it, but what did I do with it? When we started the revision of the Avyakt Murlis, 10-15 years ago, and we were reading the Murli’s from 69 and then the 70’s, I said to Dadi, ‘Dadi you are all (the Dadis) are practising all the aspects Baba is talking about and I’m just understanding them now’. She just smiled. It was true.  So what we are hearing today, from the start of the 1990 Murlis, is absolutely for us now.  At the time they benefited and yet today what Baba is saying is so relevant for what is needed out there.

It is a very clear mirror, as Baba is explaining the status of our effort at that time.  He is saying that 50% of children are making intense effort and 50% are making sometimes intense effort, and sometimes just effort. When it is just effort Baba gives another percentage.  40% of our time, energy and thoughts is being used in a worthwhile way and 60% isn’t!  That is stunning.  Yes, the Avyakt Murlis are beautiful, sweet and very powerful yet if I take them truly for my personal effort then I can shift from ordinary effort and intense effort sometimes, to intense effort all the time.

Baba has taken up the subject of thoughts and words.  ‘Light the lamp of pure elevated thoughts in your mind’ was the theme of the song we just heard.  More than taking up the detail within the mind, Baba has taken up the impact that words have on the self, on others and the atmosphere.  Whatever are the words that we are using, they are connected with the quality and quantity of thoughts.  There was a mantra in the 1980’s in PandavBhavan, which we would see everywhere displayed: on the cut out design of a  leaf.  Sometimes it would have the words ‘Shiv Baba Yaad hai?  ‘Are you remembering Shiv Baba’ but sometimes ‘speak less, speak softly, speak sweetly’.  ‘Cam bollo, dihe bollo, mite bollo’.  This became a mantra that Baba would remind us of often and now it is even more important today, than 1990.  Because whatever is the atmosphere created by our thoughts and more so by our words, are the vibrations created by this atmosphere that is reaching out to the world.  If we wish Baba’s House to be a Lighthouse and Mighthouse, and wherever it is Baba’s children live or the centre anyone goes to, there is the aim that people are benefitting from our presence.  So what are the vibrations we are radiating out into the world.  The first part of the mantra is: Speak less.  Can I control this.  Am I able to do this?  We often talk about ‘karmateet’ with all accounts cleared.  The first step is the conquest of the physical senses.  With the tongue there are two aspects.  Am I driven by taste?  And the aspect Baba is taking up today – speech.

In order to speak less I have to ask myself two questions.

1)       Is it true?   It was in 2016 that the phrase ‘fake news’ became an expression we started to use.  Today what am I saying?  Is it my perception and how true is my perception or is it my imagination?  Also is it the influence of others? From true there is then percentage reduction.  I remember a senior Didi saying in a meeting: ‘When I hear someone, if they are speaking about impressions of others, I mentally take off a discount’.

2)       Is it useful?  It maybe true but in the name of this, I go trampling over someone’s feelings or dignity and it is not useful

3)       Do I need to say this now?  Maybe true but is it the right moment to be speaking about it according to the individual or the atmosphere.  What is the environment we are in.

Speaking less with these three factors considered, how would this impact our conversations?  Is it useful?  As when we speak about things it underlines what is going on in the mind.  There is a comeback on the mind and it gets imprinted.  Sometimes there is a narrative, which is based on perception, and I think is true.  I repeat it.  It then becomes stronger every time I repeat that narrative.  Maybe it really is not true and yet it is having such an impact.

Sometimes we know that there are narratives that are not true, but it has been repeated so much to the self and others it appears that ‘this is how it is’.  This is why Baba says ‘caution’.  Have a lot of attention on your thoughts, time and energy and the impact you are having.  Also see what the impact of this is going to be long term.  We don’t always think about that.

I was with Dadi Janki at a small group at a conference in California in 1998 and this group was taking up the subject of ‘How do we prepare ourselves for the future’.  We were asked to write on a slip of paper how long we are preparing for……next week, month, year or 5 years. Dadi was listening and then requested pen and paper and I was very curious what she was going to write and she wrote: 5,000 years!  The facilitator saw it but wouldn’t have known what to say!  But it is a fact that the 8 jewels didn’t just prepare for a day or week, or a month, but they knew that Sangamyug is a preparation for the whole Kalpa.  That is why they became the 8 jewels.  Am I preparing myself in all that I do…in my thinking, speaking and action?

So these three questions:  Is it true, is it useful, is it the right time?   Baba is saying ‘speak less’.  If we put this criteria into practise imagine the reduction and quality in speech!  It means we need to keep the mind clear so that words are not just coming out, but there has been thinking behind speech and words are chosen carefully.  Sometimes there is automatic pilot when the thoughts are racing therefore the words race.  And here Baba is saying think before you speak, think it through before speaking.   This saves a huge amount of time and energy.  Then speak softly and slowly.  When my thoughts are racing are they all good thoughts?  When we are meditating and creating pure and elevated thoughts, they are slow.  When we are having waste thoughts, they are fast.  Same applies with speech.  When on automatic pilot there are a lot of words, but I’m not actually thinking.  So think clearly, so we speak slowly and sweetly.  There is a lot of cleaning up to do in order to speak sweetly.    OM SHANTI

Sudesh Didi – 20th February 2022 Sunday Morning Class - Being Lost in Love

20 February 2022

Om shanti Om shanti. Om prem.

Shall I say Om Shanti? What is merged in this Om Shanti? When the soul is lost in Baba’s love, then, automatically, the mind is silent, clean, clear and peaceful; intellect is divine. Celebrating the meeting with the Ocean of Peace and Love, when we are lost in the love of the Supreme Being. When I use the term “lost in love”, the question arises: What is lost? Am I lost in love, or have I found something in love. Merged in love, and all other things which were not right, which were unnecessary, which were influencing and disturbing the mind, questioning the intellect, influencing the sanskaras, they automatically become quiet, because it is Baba’s Love.

“Being lost” means totally concentrated and enjoying the experience of belonging to the Supreme. Baba is the Ocean of Love but souls are asking, “We are thirsty for one drop.” To be Baba's children are so fortunate. We are multimillion-times fortunate, that Baba is showering love every day. We don’t just received drops of love, but we are soaked in love, drowned in God's love. Love has such deep influence and leave such an impression.

The love of human beings is selfish, superficial, demanding, controlling, possessive, doubtful, limited and insecure. There is fear in human love, the fear of losing. With God's love, you come to get lost in it.

What is the difference between the love that human beings offer and the love that Baba showers upon us? It is selflessness. God does not need anything. With human beings, whenever they think of love, they become more and more body conscious. Just imagine, love as only the attraction of the physical body, the temptation of physical things. God takes us beyond. The more we are bodiless, losing “mine” consciousness, body consciousness, the more the soul is absorbing, taking in pure love, Supreme love and perfect love. Going deeper and deeper into it. It's because this is selfless love; this is purifying love. And this purity creates self-respect; automatically makes us feel the Affection and the Companionship of the Supreme Being. Baba becomes a natural Friend and Companion, the Beloved and the Bestower. This is the relationship of experience, without possessiveness or dependency. Baba makes us independent again.

Yet, we know that without Baba’s Love, there is no power. In fact, the basis of yoga or powerful fire of love is pure love. But it needs to be checked through introspection, because it is extroversion that makes us the quality of love changes, the body-conscious quality changes love. It is in the packet of love and the label of love, but gradually, instead of letting go of expectations and desires, instead of giving, wanting comes. The soul then, through the sense organs, becomes more and more attached to that physical being. Baba is bodiless, and Brahma Baba is benevolent. The Company of the Bodiless makes us soul conscious.

What is bodilessness? Soul consciousness. And what is soul consciousness? When the qualities of the soul, the inner power of the soul and the divine sanskaras of the soul begin to shine. And the soul begins to love the self instead of loving the body. Whatever you love, you don't have to make an effort to remember. You want to be in that company; you want to experience the vibrations and the power. We begin to experience; we begin to love ourselves; we begin to love what we are in reality. Purity, peace, love, wisdom, truth, happiness and kindness; this is what we are and what God is.

God is Love, and in love, you give. This is why Baba is the Giver and the Merciful Forgiver. He is not only the Giver but the Forgiver. He does not have any bad feelings for those who defamed Him. He always says that we defamed Him. Why? It is not to glorify Himself, but to enable us to have the right connection. And, this is also God's love. When this true love is experienced for the self, we begin to experience love for others.

It is about values. Even with physical attraction, behind that, there is also some kind of value that the person is impressed by, and begins to like. Liking becomes connection; connection becomes dependency, and then attachment. So, that love is not love anymore; it is polluted love.

God's love is purified love. So, let go of negative body consciousness; open yourselves with the original qualities that you have. What vision does God have for us? A perfect being, a divine being with pure mind, divine intellect and elevated sanskaras. He makes us into the charming and attractive Shri Krishna. Aakarshak, the word means the Attractive One. It is the qualities that attract.

It is God's love that purifies us, decorates us, empowers us, and liberates us from every kind of bondage. What holds our concentration is the Godly qualities and our original qualities of the self. That is getting lost-in-love. This means finding the original self and enjoying the Company, the Companionship with God. Eventually, one asks, “What should I do in return?” For the One who is showering love upon me, what should I give in return?” Do I have anything? Baba does not want anything. But our heart says that I belong to You. Then, we offer ourselves and surrender ourselves.

When we belong to You and You belong to me, then, there is no longing anymore. The longing finishes, all kinds of longing. And that is called “getting lost in love”.

Om shanti.

Sudesh Didi – 13th February 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London: Divine intellect and sanskaras

15 February 2022

Om Shanti Om shanti.

Good morning to the holy swans, happy swans, and lucky swans. In the months of January and February, Baba’s Murlis are emphasising on the power of purity. Today's Murli tells us clearly what the life of a Brahmin is. Blessed life; pure life; divine clean, clear, happy life; purity, clarity and cleanliness. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. So clean and pure; it's not just about physical cleanliness, but a clean mind that is clear and without clutter. There are no waste thoughts. In this body, in this house, the soul, when it is living with pure consciousness, the body and the soul are pure, living a family life. The sense organs of the body are the members of the family, working together and empowering each other, affecting each other, supporting each other, and influencing each other.

It is important to know that the body is not only about keeping it physically clean and pure, but the body means sense organs. The body means the physical organs as well as the sense organs. All these senses, the kings of this kingdom, are also very pure and divine. This is why this body itself is a kingdom when it is a purity environment. To be clean and pure refers to the function of the sense organs. The mind is also totally clean; the attitude and the vision are pure; the vibration is pure; the intellect is divine. The power of understanding, the power of realisation, the power of discrimination between right and wrong, and the power of decision are based on, not only how clean the intellect is, but how much it is becoming divine. Then, one is able to see, to be far-sighted, to be a detached observer, and to have the capacity to put elevated thoughts into action in this practical life. So, the sanskaras become divine.

We will go back to the Soul World, not with the sense organs, but with the sanskaras through which the sense organs have created. The nature is formed; the habits are created; we carry those with us. The memory does not go into the Golden Age, the intellect will not be thinking or churning about knowledge, or picking up virtues, or appreciating the pure divine love of God. The memory of all the sustenance will not go with us. Even in the lokik way, the body is left behind; the relations are left behind; the position and the properties are left behind. However, what will go with us are the sanskaras.

Our sanskara is purity. When our sanskaras become divine and pure, automatically, the new body is worshipped-worthy later on in the cycle. When the body becomes divine, one is called a deity. The statues are remembered, the non-living images are also remembered and worshipped. Otherwise, they are called human beings who are worthy to be respected.

First, we live in a household. Baba says this (the body) is your temple. Keep the mind clean, so this light is lit. Then the sanskara of cleanliness within the soul continues even in the Copper Age. The cleanliness of the temple, carrying out everything with discipline; the discipline of cleaning the body; fasting with renunciation. Different methods are adopted to keep the mind clean and to keep the body clean.

This family life, now, body and soul, should remain in the household, but pure in every aspect, so that, there is far-sightedness. The soul is able to support itself and discriminate what is right and what is wrong; is aware of time; is aware of the capacity and is aware of what is needed. The intellect becomes totally clear.

This clean, pure heart affects others, supports others, and sustains others. It stitches their hearts. Baba says the arrow should strike the heart. It is the arrow of knowledge but, it is also the arrow of good wishes; the arrow of love; the arrow of benevolence.

When the intellect becomes very divine, the soul is benevolent and not critical, not doubtful, and not biased. It is only when the soul is filled with ego that it becomes negative. When it is filled with divinity, it is always positive and benevolent. Benevolence is purity, and that is called truth, the divine intellect and the pure intellect. A clever intellect, that is, a very clever head, can make right thing wrong; but the divine intellect puts right which is wrong, with selflessness. This is why the intellect is able to pick up the good from others and take the good from Baba. And if what we have collected is always good, what would we share? We will share goodness and so, this life, this knowledgeable life, this divine life of a Brahmin is a blessed life. Through this life now, we rule our sense organs; they are under our natural discipline. Not by force, but with joy. Whatever we are doing, we are enjoying it. We are proud of what Baba is teaching us, and we inculcate dharna. Seeing the student who begins to put into practice this teaching and changes their life, the Teacher, with great love, says, “He is inculcating dharna, he is becoming a yogi now. He is developing and is doing what Baba says and is following Shrimat.”

What is Shrimat? It is dharna. Shrimat is a divine life. When the body and mind are in harmony, this is the result of purity: pure vision, pure feeling and pure happiness. This is called one world; one world means one kingdom. The Golden Age is established by One.

Another aspect of purity is that the yoga of my intellect is with God. So, God is my Companion. Just like the body and soul are companions, in the same way, when I, the soul makes Baba the Bridegroom, and I am the bride, the intellect becomes very loyal, trustworthy and totally surrendered. With the relationship of the child, I have an inheritance, and God's love is pouring upon me, blessings are showering upon me. That is a relationship also. Only when I recognise, and the intellect is clear about who do I belong to, will I become obedient as Baba’s worthy child. In the relationship of companion, Baba is my Bridegroom and I am bride; there is loyalty, total faith and surrender.

These are two different kinds of love. Purity, receiving power, or empowering myself in the Company of God, is how the intellect is becoming pure. Buddhi, Shrimat, we take that intellect in the Golden Age, our actions are natural. Baba is not with us, but the power we receive at this time will be with us. There is Baba’s power; God is present with us; Godly power is present. As the Kingdom is being established, I'm the companion of God or the bride of God; surrendered, faithful, loyal. The aim of the Golden Age is a pure kingdom, pure world, pure system; Lakshmi and Narayan, the combined form.

The soul itself will become the embodiment of qualities; Lakshmi, detached; Narayan, authority of spirituality, purity, divinity and royalty. This is what gives him the crown. Without purity, without spirituality, religion is a ritual. Spirituality takes us step by step from cleanliness to stability.

This is why the foundation of the real power within the soul of truth is: I am a pure, peaceful soul. So, purity in every aspect: pure mind, pure intellect, pure behaviour, pure intention and pure consciousness. Baba says this should be our smriti (awareness). So, smriti, the awareness, is of being detached, clean, not giving any negative, not receiving any negative, not dependent, attached, not reacting; not with hatred, not being critical. Baba says, then, you become a sparkling diamond. So, Lakshmi and Narayan and then you are a crown jewel combined form.

The soul itself is Lakshmi at this time, and the soul with a divine intellect is Narayan. The mind is clean and pure. It's becoming the embodiment. It is detached while living in this mud. 80% is mud and water in the body, a big lake. And the soul lives that lotus: detached, clean and pure. So, it is not that only a householder is living as a lotus flower. At this time, wherever we are, in this big lake of mud, the soul is clean and pure. So, purity is dignity; purity is spirituality; purity is royalty; purity is authority. So, the whole of the Avyakt month, Baba is, again and again, giving signals: when there is purity, there is peace and prosperity in life. So, what is Baba’s slogan? Be holy. Be yogi. When the mind is clean and pure, the intellect is divine; the sanskaras are elevated and divine, then, the kingdom is divine. When there is purity, the soul, not only is it seated on Baba’s heart-throne, but purity means light, with easy nature, it is in Baba’s eyes. And Baba says, “Just keep your vision pure, and sit in my eyes. And I sit in your eyes. I am the light of your eyes. You are the light of My Eyes.” Then, you will fly; holy swans, happy swans. Good morning. Om shanti.

Sister Jayanti – 13th February, 2022 – GCH, London Steps to take for the journey home. Steps to take for the journey home.

15 February 2022

The subject I was given for today was the steps that we need to take to prepare for our journey home and since that time seems to be coming rapidly, very close - who knows finally, but it seems to be close,  I have been thinking about that particular subject and it is a subject that we have looked at from different angles many times but this time the sentence from the murli today that struck me and turned things around for me was when Baba said your BK life begins with Baba giving you the gift of the divine intellect.

Again we have heard this many times, but today it answered another question for me and why I say it changed things around is because we would normally say, and it is true, that the first step is to go beyond the physical senses, to be the master, the sovereign.  Yes the bhuddii is connected with Baba and is drawing that power and as a result of that the soul is making effort to be the master of the eyes, the ears, the nose, the mouth – all the senses, and yet today’s murli was explaining to me that having received this gift of the divine intellect why is it that instead of a very simple process of being able to be the master, we sometimes we get stuck and our eyes still deceive us, our ears deceive us.

Baba always mentions the story of the elephant and how this huge elephant can be brought to its knees by an ant that crawls into the ear of the elephant and because of that the elephant is in such distress that it can’t manage anything and comes to its knees and so in Raja Yoga what we see is that sometimes we hear something about ourselves and that little ant, just a few words, but that little ant has crawled into the ear and causes total distress and disturbance.  Whatever was my stability and peace, the basis for my effort, all of that gets shaken.   And so that stage, when the soul becomes the master,  is connected very much with keeping the divine intellect pure and clean.

And so coming to Baba one of the first things that we need to ensure is that I am keeping the bhutti filled with Baba’s knowledge.  Am I making sure that that truth is making my intellect divine?  Baba is giving me the gift which is giving me understanding of myself.   I can have yoga with God but the effort through the day, and again, Raja Yoga is not for once a week or once a day in the morning and then forget it and then get on with your life, but Raja Yoga is to be able to apply spiritual principles in my life on a daily basis and not just daily but through the whole day because any moment when I step out of spirituality then things go pear shaped; they don’t go the way they should.

The inner effort is to keep the intellect very clean so that it is not picking up stray rubbish from here and there.  It is kalyug and the Iron Age and the extreme end part of the Iron Age and so there is a huge amount of negativity and I don’t just mean criticism or negativity in that personal sense but generally speaking the anger, ego, greed and violence that is all around us.   Step outside this house and you don’t know what you will see on the street and so where we are constantly surrounded by negativity, what Baba is doing is filling this vessel He has given us. He has given us the gift of a pure vessel.  Baba is filling it with that truth, that love and purity every single day.

I know that people on a personal level make effort and in bhakti there are many bhagats that make effort for daily practise and if they don’t have that daily practise then that love for God and flame for devotion disappears.  It needs the oil put in every day.

I don’t know many other places where there is a collective gathering.  It was in the subtle regions on internet during the lock down but we still connected not only with God but with each other and that collective community within that community yes, we were all making effort to come to that state of purity that Baba wants us to have but as soon as you go outside this sphere of His influence then there is a huge amount of negativity in terms of all the vices that are going on in the world and so the effort that one needs to make continually is to keep checking and Baba said that when you are interested in change then this is what you do.  You don’t just check at the end of the day but the thought has come and you check it.  Is this the right thought and so is that continuous checking  going on first in terms of the bhuddi and keeping the bhuddii pure and clean.  Keeping this precious gift from God as it should be kept and not allowing any other influences to touch the soul, then I attain mastery over my physical senses.   This is definitely the first step.

The second step, and of course it is connected, is to look out for what is happening in my mind.  The transformation of sanskars. You may be the last go fast souls that are able to do things very quickly but to change the mind it takes literally a blink of an eyelid.  If I am looking at myself internally I know myself and so I know where a particular thought is going to lead me to and if I don’t know myself then I need to spend time with myself checking where does this thought lead me to – where is it going.  It is fascinating to watch because some thoughts will take you right up to God and some with take you rolling down on that dangerous path of descent.

The first step is conquering the senses and in bhakti they say that the inner organs of the soul - mind, intellect sanskars - are the senses of gyan, of knowledge, that are there within. The physical senses through which we do karma, action.  The subtle ones that are inside.

And the second step is to be the master of the mind once again.  Manmanabhav - taking power through God. Through that stability.

The third step of coming to that stage where I can see that yes there is no more sin - that is conquest of sin where there are no more negative thoughts, waste thoughts, ordinary thoughts, but pure, elevated thoughts that wherever I go whatever I do wherever I may be there is good karma happening all the time simply through the quality of my thoughts as that is creating another field of energy around me.

You know the efforts the Dadis made and how just entering a room whether a big room or small room, the impact of those souls was absolute.  Everyone would become still and people’s consciousness would be changed and they would be uplifted. And so the conquest of sin completely.

But before I can get to this stage of being karmateet it is not enough to just conquer sin but to continuously use the virtues that Baba is giving me so that I can serve through that and the good karma that I accumulate then makes it possible to reach the karmateet stage so that at this moment of the drama the mantra that Dadi Kumarka used for herself - and it came in the Murli two days ago - am I receiving good wishes and blessings from everyone?  Dadi Kumarka speaking in response to the question:   What effort are you making now?  And her reply was:  I am making sure that before I go that I have nothing but good wishes from everyone.

Baba was telling us the other day that we have trouble with the virtues and the powers.  It is ok, don’t worry.   All you have to do is to get everyone’s blessings and good wishes and so with that you can accumulate all the pure karma that you need for the rest of the cycle.

These are steps to becoming prepared for that final journey home where the soul is able to fly.   No burden, no bondages, but simply carrying the power of love and good wishes from everyone.

Sudesh Didi – 6th February 2022 Sunday Morning Class - GCH, London I am a pure and peaceful soul

13 February 2022

Om Shanti

What is the foundation of Om shanti. Basis, foundation, the result. Before I say I am shanti, I am peace, shall I make sure peace exists? Where does it exist? Where there is purity, there is peace. Baba says it is when you are reminding yourself of who you are, with the awareness of the self.

So, first is, I am a pure and peaceful soul. What is the reason that peace gets lost, that happiness disappears, that wealth is gone, that health is finished? Where there is purity, the ‘mother’ exists and the ‘children’ exist. Purity is the mother of all virtues.

The praise of God as the Purifier. This is real power. Purity is the power of the soul; strength, spiritual energy, respect, closeness and trust. This is why in all areas, purity is respected. What makes a Mahatamaji a Mahatama? What makes a saint a saint?  A householder who renounces his responsibilities while he is alive, his wife is like a widow, his children are like orphans, and yet, this is Mahatamaji. What greatness is this? There is a weakness of not being able to look after their responsibility, but deep within there is a search of how to enable the self to fulfil the responsibility. Before looking after the extended household which is created later on in life, the household which I am in from the day I came into this life. So, for all the householders living in the household, the message is to live a pure life like a lotus flower.

Those who are kumars and kumaris don't have to live like a lotus. They don't have to be detached. Their lives are clean, light and beautiful. In fact, this is the family path. The one thing that is most, what is called, integrated, connected, interacted with the soul is this organ of the body. The members (organs) of this household (body) are connected with each other. And if one becomes weak, some of the energy is automatically transferred into other organs. For example, you may notice that a person with speech disability, those who cannot speak the tongue, many are excellent tailors, because their eyes are powerful. The energy gets shifted to the eyes. For those who are blind, the energy may be shifted to the throat, and they sing beautifully. So, all energy levels have to be in harmony, and this helps the household to have a healthy life.

So, what is missing is the action, which is supposed to be according to the capacity of the soul, which has to do with the awareness. This is why Baba says that in purity, the most important aspect is cleanliness. Cleanliness is next to Godliness; cleanliness comes with simplicity because it attracts and then also, it makes the soul free from the attraction of others. That which is colourful, fashionable and the latest look attracts the intellect, and the mind reacts if there is uncleanliness. Then inside, we will see poor and rich, high position and low position, first-grade society, second-grade society, then clubs are formed with the standard; standard address and standard design create more and more body consciousness. This happens if simplicity with cleanliness is not there. So, this is why Baba says you have a simple life, clean life, pure life. Life is very easy. I don't have to worry about what I'm going to wear tomorrow or worry that people will say, “You were wearing the same dress.” We can wear the same dress for the whole year, no one will say we are poor because as we wear the same simple dress, internally, the consciousness is pure and clean.

Baba says there are four levels of cleanliness and four levels of purity. Apart from today’s Murli, we also get the selection of Avyakt Signals for imbibing purity and cleanliness. What we are reading today is of 1st February, the first Avyakt Signal about purity.

Purity is beauty; purity is power; purity is respect; purity is the weapon for us. It is not just about keeping the body clean or keeping the dress clean, but about the one who is wearing a dress. And this is why Baba said purity of the mind, purity of the body, cleanliness of the body. Our body is a temple. The value of the temple is according to how clean it is, it attracts. People will then become aware of the kinds of thoughts, behaviour, time and energy which are there, because pure vibrations make the atmosphere and people feel attracted to that, and value it. If cleanliness is lacking, they think the mind is also dirty, because no time to clean here, that is, no time to clean outside, but instead, going into different matters, then the external is not visible. But this is actually a mandir, temple, where the light and the statues are. When the statue and everything are completely clean, without clutter, this way will keep everything free from any obstacles, from any objects or furniture or things in it. And so, the body is a temple; it is a place of worship with respect.

Our thoughts are very important. In fact, not only should the mind be free from waste thoughts, it has to be filled with powerful thoughts, elevated thoughts, uplifting thoughts that can clean out the past and where rubbish is collected. So, pure mind, positive energy, this mind, then, creates thoughts accordingly. You can see that thought, good wishes and vision are connected. Thoughts and feelings are connected; pure thoughts, automatically create good wishes: good wishes for the self, good attitude for the self.

So, the foundation of any action that we perform is the thought, that is, the mind. The seed is powerful, and we are watering the seed with the pure consciousness of qualities; purity is the power; purity is the nourishing energy. So, you always offer to the divine beings, pure, clean, and unused bhog.

People have the same thing before at home, when bhog has to be offered, it has to be clean and new, like that of the surrender quality, that is also a pure heart, no possessiveness, not any selfish motive. So, it is a different level of purity in the mind, pure mind, pure attitude, pure vision and pure ears. Through that, silence is natural. What goes through these ears is what comes out of this mouth. Food is not cooked well, it has too much salt; it is not sweet enough; it is not… So, what is happening is, for whatever we have eaten, we are speaking about it.

Something may be very bitter, so, it is what goes in, in the same way, as we speak about what we are eating, it's also connected with this household. What is holding it is the vision, ears and actions. So, the temple is connected with the light and the statue.

So, Baba says, if there is the quality of divinity, the temple becomes very great, because the vibrations of purity attract others. Whether you are a kumar or a kumaris, you have to ask yourself: am I living like a trustee of the household or a householder in this house. I become body-conscious means I am a householder. Being soul-conscious, I am detached. So, how much time I am taking care of the body, through cleanliness or body-consciousness, they are two different aspects. Looking nice, giving a good impression, then being clean and pure. So, this is why the body is the temple.

The mind creates pure and positive thoughts. The heart is also a member of this household. Dilaram, the Comforter of the heart, sits where the heart is honest. God is pleased with an honest heart. Then, you begin to trust each other with honest communication. When there is honesty, you become a trustee. With honesty, you get cooperation automatically. With an honest heart, you are able to offer what you want to offer have self-respect. There is respect for each other and so the heart is honest.

Today Baba emphasises on doing service with an honest heart. I'm a really honest server of Baba. But what is my intention? What is my desire? What makes me happy, and do I disturb others when I cannot live with a happy heart, and I cannot make others happy? The future world is a world of happiness. So, one needs a pure heart and an honest heart. God is truth, and honesty is the truth and the power. Truth is purity; truth is a weapon to finish all the negativities. So, it is about both the body and the mind. The soul itself has to see in its intellect, if there is any kind of impurity of ego. It is not an external thing, but it is very subtle.

Impurity has an effect on the body, the vice of lust. Its effect is connected with health. That's why the lifespan in the Golden Age is long based on this power of purity. As the level of purity comes down, lifespan decreases. Ego increases as impurity increases. So, it is an impurity is ego; anger is peacelessness; greed is poverty, as we want more, want more and more, poverty increases. Then, there is attachment. This is the world of suffering, sadness, very sad because of this prison, the kingdom of Ravan.

Where there is purity, there is peace and prosperity, health and happiness. Purity, peace, prosperity, health and happiness, then the kingdom is harmonious. Impurity increases in everyone individually. And because the smell of impurity is very subtle, as it goes, then sickness increases. The body and the soul both become weak. So, anger, peacelessness, attachment and sorrow are everywhere. Being attached to everything is part of impurity, because there are vices, there is impurity. Virtues lead to purity.

Baba is making us so prosperous that, there is constant contentment. It is greed in relationship, competition and comparison, that lead to dissatisfaction.

This is why in relationship, purity and honesty are needed, so that, we are able to be honest and content. You are able to let go, and, at the same time, accept others and appreciate their specialities. So, in every aspect, purity is the basis of peace. Then, I am a pure and peaceful soul - the complete mantra of a happy and healthy soul, a powerful soul, the child of the Almighty.

Sr Jayanti - Avyakt Murli Revision Sun 21st Nov 2021 (Orig: 27.11.1989) Am I experimenting?

2 February 2022

Om shanti and welcome to everyone once again. Baba always gave Jayanti bhen the title of flying yogi, flying angel. She was a major participant and contributor in the COP 26 Conference which is not a small event. It's a very international event where many prime ministers, presidents were there. You have done great service.

Sister Jayanti:  Thank you, it's lovely to be back with all of you again.

Whenever there's a festival it's Christmas, it's Diwali, any major event like that we always say lots of love, lots of blessings, lots of good wishes all our pure feelings are with you it's a very beautiful way to express our thoughts of love to those who we do love and all our friends and connections. This time Baba actually took up what it means to have pure feelings and good wishes for everyone and so just to recap on the murli first and then a few thoughts of reflection further in terms of what Baba said. Baba first of all pointed out that God is the benefactor for all but all of you children also are the master bestowers, the benefactors because you have pure feelings and good wishes for everyone in the world. In bhakti also you would have good wishes and pure feelings but of course you didn't know how to take power from God, you weren't connected with God and so you weren't actually able to do that for any extent of time. Only for a very limited period of time people were able to experience the benefit of that and it's only now, when you actually understand what it means to have pure feelings and good wishes that you can actually give souls benefit for the whole of the cycle. For half the cycle that benefit is carried even further along and so the power of your good wishes are such that really you change the humans of the world and give all of them the unlimited experience of taking whatever they need from God, but also you actually transform nature and the elements itself. So just imagine how powerful your good wishes are, and you don't always realize how powerful they are.

These two things absolutely go together, you can have pure feelings for all but you must also have the foundation for that, and that is the pure desire to be able to serve all with this because the two things are absolutely connected. If you're just simply repeating the things Baba has told you, if you're sharing things just in terms of duty, responsibility and I suppose I have to, then that doesn't touch souls. It doesn't transform souls but when you have really that pure desire that they should claim their inheritance from the Father and take everything that is their right to take from Baba, and you have those pure feelings for them, then the combination of that pure desire, your good wishes for them and also your pure feelings for them, is such that they're able to come close to the Father.  Your good wishes are then able to serve a purpose and they work.  Now, science is able to reach across the oceans; vision and sound can go anywhere. Surely the power of silence is even greater because the speed of thought is faster than anything else in the universe. Your pure feelings can reach souls and help them and they'll feel that it's as if some help that's reaching me from somewhere, (and they won't know that it's you and that's fine), but they'll know that it's coming from up above, and they'll be drawn closer to being up above and so recognize the value of the power of your good wishes and pure feelings.

Baba also explained that this is possible only when you make space in your mind and your intellect. What we are doing at the present time, Baba said, is we're occupying ourselves too much, too many thoughts are going on. We get caught up with all sorts of little situations and incidents, and so the line becomes busy. It's engaged and nothing more can happen and to make space, clear out all those things. Let yourself go to a higher state, that state of soul consciousness and remembrance of God. Baba said “ekant priya” the one who loves solitude, and “ekagrata,” concentration (focus), and so these two things. It doesn't mean leaving my duties and running away. I can do that only for a little time anyway but where I am I can develop the power to turn inwards and be in remembrance of One, go into the depths of One and really learn to concentrate. When I love inner solitude, here's a simple method. Can I extend that three minute period of traffic control and make it four minutes, five minutes, maybe even six minutes. That I'm again able to recharge myself with that inner power but also I'm able to concentrate, I'm able to focus and I'm able to develop the power of silence within myself. Then pure feelings and good wishes can reach others. Baba said how on the surface of the ocean there's noise, there's the waves and the sound of the waves, even upheaval in the waves, but if you go into the depths of the ocean there's stillness there. Go into the depths of the ocean of knowledge and experience the stillness that comes from going deep down and all the upheaval will be going on around you outside, but you're developing your power of silence and you're able to focus your mind and intellect in whatever stage it is you have decided to experience. Develop the power of silence and the power of pure feelings and good wishes for all.

A further little recap on the other bits of the murli that stood out for me; Baba talking to the teachers, ‘are you yourself experimenting and experiencing all of these things? then you can help others too.’ A capable teacher means there should be visible results. A capable teacher means thoughts, words and actions are all being done simultaneously. You're serving through the mind, through your words and through your actions. When everything is aligned in that way of service, you're busy all the time but also you're seeing very good results through all of that. Baba had his vision very clearly focused on the kumaris. Within that what struck me was, how can you become worthy and the answer was very simple, just belong to One, that's it. To become worthy just belong to One, total dedication, total connection belonging to One and yes, Baba encouraged the kumaris to think about serving the world rather than serving for their own comforts or serving for a limited family, but think about the world that's waiting to be served. And then the kumaris again, very interesting, Baba speaking about how a kumar is always looking for a companion or company, but you have the company of God. Make God your companion, you have the company of the family and that can support you, and Baba also recognises that it's more challenging for kumars than it is for kumaris.  Kumaris very quickly come into the field of service and so they're very much kept safe within that arena but kumars are out there in the world. Baba is appreciating the struggle that they had, but also giving them a lot of love and strength and power.

Baba’s story about Pandav Bhawan and the story behind this. There was a Pandav Bhawan created, I believe it was in the early 60s in Banares, Varanasi and it didn't actually work out because of the sanskars and so it got disbanded. When Dadi came to London in 1974, souls began to emerge by 1975. There was quite a solid group of souls and many of them were brothers. Sisters began to come later. At first we had a very powerful Pandav army and Dadi said to them to find a place which is calling distance so that if ever there's a need, if a sister calls you from Baba's house, not by telephone. She'll come into the street and say come, you'll be able to see it and hear it and you'll be able to come running across to help whatever the need is. A very interesting comment from Baba about being at calling distance and the first Pandav Bhawan outside Bharat was established there and it did huge service. From there it led to Shanti Bhawan which is where eight or nine brothers lived together for many, many years and that still continues. Many, many brothers who were instruments across the world have had sustenance there. So, Baba's blessings that these kumars have been able to live together and work together in a lovely way.

Baba was talking about the double foreigners and the letters we write. Great to write letters of honesty and everything of your heart. Baba encouraged us to write a letter of two words, two letters actually, not even words just O and K. O for Shiv Baba and K the kingdom and so get yourself right, don't just say to Baba I'm okay! Put yourself right and then write to Baba, ‘I am okay, all is well’. Baba doesn't want to hear long stories of the Ramayana, the Bhagwat has the stories of God's love and activity and then the Ramayana has all the stories of human failings and weaknesses, the struggles and the battles and promises being broken. All sorts of things. Don't get into those stories just keep yourself out of it, don't get busy with those things. Baba gives love to all but just a few reflections on this idea of nothing but pure feelings and good wishes and being able to keep the mind and intellect free.

Do I have good feelings for myself? Or am I complaining and moaning about myself? ‘I shouldn't have done this, I should have done this, why didn't I think about it’, Is this the chatter that's going on in my mind? If that's what's going on in my mind that's what's going to happen in my relationships also, inside-out. And so, to cultivate the feeling of valueing the self, of respect for the self so that then I can value others and value nature. A very important lesson from Baba, just have nothing but pure feelings and begin with yourself. Very easy to have pure feelings for somebody across the other side of the planet because I don't interact with them. I know I have to serve the world and so I'm sending out those good vibes and that's easy but the one who lives next door to me my neighbour, maybe his interests and my interests don't quite match they don't tally and he wants a bit of my space and I think why should he have that space? This is where neighbours actually are probably the ones who quarrel and conflict the most. Not just in terms of individuals and people, but in terms of countries. Think about all the border clashes that happen across the world in some form or another, neighbouring countries and my interests and your interests just aren't coming to a compromise, or an agreement, or consensus. That's what's going on but my own family, sometimes family traumas are the hardest things to sort out and they last for decades not even just years.

And so, to be able to erase all the things that I need to erase from my mind, my judgmental attitude, my critical attitude and be able to forgive. Can I let go and forgive whatever it is I'm still holding in my heart? If it's there I cannot use the power of good wishes and the power of silence. First I have to clean out my feelings for everyone. I can't say I've forgiven three people but there's one person I haven't yet forgiven and it's okay. One drop of poison in water, could you drink it? It's only one drop there's a whole glass full of water, for that one drop poisons it all. So, one relationship that I haven't forgiven and I'm holding that bitterness, sorrow and that attitude of lack of forgiveness in my heart and it's creating turmoil inside. It's creating upheaval, bitterness and pain. So, to have nothing but pure feelings, can I remove all aspects of these negative traits and be able to have a big heart? To forgive and let go?

Secondly, so many thoughts that come from comparison, competition and jealousy and all of these things. And that's because I don't value myself, I'm not introverted, I don't see myself as having the highest potential. Baba is just helping me release that potential and make it emerge. Let me be able to do that. Come back to the realization of who I am and that innermost dignity through soul consciousness and then, I'll be free from all that negativity. I'll have nothing but pure feelings and good wishes for everyone.

Third thing; can I put a full stop? Can I realize that whatever is happening is benevolent, there is benefit in every step that I take because I'm following Shrimat? If I'm not following Shrimat then that's not true but if I am following Shrimat then there's benefit, and so drama is benevolent beneficial. Baba is the Benefactor and is the benevolent One but drama is also benevolent (dra-ma) the mother. The mother is always benevolent. Learn to put a full stop without letting waste thoughts take over my headspace and throw out anything else. Let me put a full stop then I can have pure feelings all the time and I can genuinely have good wishes for everyone, not just my family or my friends, but for each and every one. That is what is going to take the world onto the next phase, the transition and then Satyug can come, when we learn to have nothing, nothing, nothing but good wishes and pure feelings for all. That's when the drama will click and there'll be a new scene beginning, the scene of the golden age. Those are a few reflections on yesterday's murli.

Let me share with you a little of COP and just a brief note about the history. When Brahma Kumaris were given General consultative status for the UN, from thousands of NGOs who have a relationship with the UN with the DPI (the Department of Public Information) we were pulled into another category which is just hundreds. Within the consultative status category we were given General consultative status which is the highest level which says that the Brahma Kumaris have an expertise that the UN can call upon for any of the projects or any of the departments that do the work of creating a better world for all. Baba's work touches women, it touches youth, it touches health, it touches children, it touches the environment. Anything to do for a better world is Baba's task but it's also coinciding with the UN's task and so General consultative status was granted by Governments. Governments explored our activity at the UN for the past 10 years, or however long, and every Government then said yes. India said yes, when it came up for approval a short history was mentioned and then Indian Government said yes and Costa-Rica said yes, America said yes, I think Germany was also on the panel at that time they said yes. The chairperson said Brahma Kumarias have been granted this status and it was quite significant and still is because - I could be wrong because it was a long time ago - that we were given that status at the end of the 90s but certainly at that time we were the first and the only spiritual organization from the east to be given this status. Why I gave it in that sort of detail is that according to that status it meant that we could then apply to be observers at the United Nations climate change conferences: UNF, triple C, the UN framework for climate change and so on. We were the only spiritual organization this time at COP from the east, sorry I have to add that from the east. Lots of Christian organizations and of course environmental organizations but we were the only spiritual organization from the east to be there. That gives you an idea of how different Bapa's work is to whatever else is going on around gurus and organizations that teach meditation and so on and so forth.

Since 2009 we've been sharing this idea of consciousness and climate. When we first started sharing this in Copenhagen 2009, we had an exhibition and stalls. Stalls in which all these pictures were displayed and people were quite shocked they were surprised; how can you link consciousness and climate and so we would tell them the trajectory of (Smritti-Vritti-Drishti-Kritti-Shrishti) which means; my awareness-my attitude-my vision-my behaviour-my actions, and so the world. When we say ‘when I change the world changes’ it's because of this trajectory. How long did that take? It takes 30 seconds to explain from consciousness to climate. Why? Because when my consciousness is spiritual, then I don't harm nature. I don't exploit nature, I don't aggress nature, I'm not violent against nature or animals. Nature and everything. You know, animals, birds, bees, all living creatures and the elements. When there's a higher consciousness then we experience inner happiness and so we are not interested in acquisition of property and possessions and accumulation and new wardrobe every year. All the things that people out there are still into which means that our needs are greatly reduced. Our life becomes much more simple, and so our carbon footprint is much reduced. These are the two main factors that we explain to people: this trajectory of inside, and what happens out there. Inside meaning this inner state of contentment and joy because of our spiritual awareness and lifestyle. This has been the theme of lots of other details.

We've always taken up the subject of renewable energies in a big way. The largest single user of new renewable energies in Bharat is Brahma Kumaris. We have all these solar systems and many retreat places. Madhuban, India One was the first and so we have very good credentials for this. What we're trying to do now is also collect the information of other retreat centres across the world where they have been interested in renewable energies, and put together a case study about how we went doing all this in the world out there. We've been beating the drums about this for quite a while and at one point, early days environmentalists weren't really interested in what we were doing because they'd say spiritual people are up there, they're not interested in what's happening down here, so we're not going to involve them and then something shifted around 2012. And environmentalists began to say if we want to reach the grassroots it has to be through faith-based organizations. They don't use the word religion which is fine. It's good it suits us well, faith-based organizations, and within that they said there's a lot of information but 80% of the world's population belong to one religion or another, one spiritual tradition or another. Only 20% of people are actually absolutely without any connection with faith so to reach 80% of the human world, it was faith-based organizations that had all those networks on the grassroots level and so they started involving us 2014-2015.

You could see that there was such a major shift and nature-based organizations were inviting us onto their panels. Interfaith got a big boost because Christiana Figueres who would be meeting us regularly from time to time, when she was the executive secretary there, asked her chief of staff to meet with her separately after our meeting with her but to meet with him so that then he could get an understanding of what faith-based organizations were doing. In 2014 there were very big ceremonies in New York and Christiana was heading up the UN at that time and so she was really encouraging the involvement of faith-based organizations. At that point Valerian was asked to be the liaison and so she and a man who's now the secretary general of the world council of churches, the two of them organize interfaith activities when we want to do a full platform they organize it or when we want to meet the director or the deputy director again they organized those meetings for us as a group. That's very good and what happened this year was the World Wildlife Fund which is very significant in the work it does and the contacts it has, the outreach that it has, and royalty are their patrons. They have huge budgets, they have offices around the world and every country that has a WWF organization does huge work for the environment. So now this year for the first time they appointed somebody who happened to be from a Hindu background and has known the Brahma Kumaris for decades and has always worked with us on panels. He's been to madhuban but he appointed him as their liaison person for beliefs and ethics and values. This person invited Brahma Kumaris to be on their panel when they had a gathering of faith-based organizations and on that panel also was Karina Gore and if you recognize the name. She's a daughter of Al Gore but she actually was a person who inspired her father not the other way around because she started an organization called The Center for Earth Ethics yonks ago and so that was the inspiration that led to Al Gore making that film The Inconvenient Truth and then a second film, a documentary again following that first one. He was there in the audience, he'd come to hear his daughter, but he was also hearing all of us and this woman, Karina Gore, very simple, very natural, very easy, and very committed and sincere. So her input was great. We were on the WWF stand which was huge, and a lot of people were there. They were broadcasting it live and so I know that others from the Brahmin family who were there were watching live as it was being broadcasted. Again WWF had a media point and there again it was BKs who were there and they'd invited us to be part of a quite a small group that was being interviewed just three of us being interviewed by one of the BBC staff and this little clip maybe 10-15 minutes was also put out to all the news media channels. Another media thing that was a first, was the chief rabbi of the UK actually stated in one of his panels that the Governments ignore the faith-based leaders, and the faith-based leaders were scrambling around trying to find a platform to voice their opinions, and so we got a phone call from a BBC researcher and she tracked me and said this is what the chief rabbi has said, do you agree with this? I said well no, not quite, because yes the UN is a platform for governments actually but we had very, very good coverage in all the different panels. In fact, the figure was that we had over 30 panels that we participated in. It was more than 30 by the end of the event and we lost track finally. Can you imagine a few of us there but 30 different panels that we were part of and it was to do with interfaith, renewable energies, youth, leadership qualities, many different things. We covered quite a range and we had two receptions.

Let me finish the Rabbi story; I said to this lady that we have been given very good platforms. She said would you like to be in an interview with one other person on The Sunday program? In Britain, the Sunday program is a religious news program on Sunday mornings, and it's the most listened to program probably in the UK in terms of religion, The God slot, they call it. It was a lovely interview because they recorded us for 15 minutes on Saturday. Getting to the interview was quite a chore because there was wind and a lot of rain in Glasgow, hitting us as we were walking. It was coming to us,so it was a battle to get there. That was fine and we got there, and the whole building is huge and deserted. Every office has all this hi-fi equipment just there and a handful of people in the building. Because of COVID they still haven't started operating properly and the bishop of Panama who I'd met earlier anyway was in one studio and I couldn't see him because of all the equipment that was in the way. I was in another studio and the interviewer was sitting in Manchester, and so it gave me such an eerie feeling at first to walk into this place and no human beings, just machines, machines, machines everywhere. Maybe it's a sign of the times to come further? That was very good Golo got interviewed by a television crew from Belgium, I think or maybe it was Germany but anyways a very good interview on what you're doing in COP and how you're going to work out. Another very interesting thing was that Carolyn from Berlin, for the past four years has been working with the Institute of Advanced Sustainability Studies. This is a scientific organization set up 11 years ago where they believe there can be different methods of acquiring knowledge; such as science, intuition, dialogue and meditation. The scientific director of the whole thing he's met us many times now and he kept inviting us to do discussion groups on their stand. And so we had lots of discussion groups on their stand, I think about nine. Another very interesting panel was the SDG panel and this was the Sustainable Development Goals. They were looking at gender equality and wanted to find out about feminine leadership and indigenous leadership and the two actually are very, very aligned, because to think about a cooperative approach, a collaborative approach, a consensus approach that's very much what we've seen Dadi Prakashmani do when she became the first leader after Baba. She didn't do it alone. She had Baba but she also brought the Dadis together. After that she created a team in Madhuban. After that she created teams of teachers, lots and lots of collaboration in that sense and so I was able to give them practical examples from the lives of the Dadis. So very, very good sessions. The two most successful things that we organized were two receptions in a Unitarian church, just a few minutes’ walk away from the main area where the governments were meeting the blue zone. The green zone was another area which was the UK government and in that BKs had the opening slot. The UK Government welcome video in which it was the president of COP 26 Alok Sharma, the Prime Minister of Britain, Boris Johnson and the opening slot, a message from BKs so somebody up there made that happen. It couldn't have happened otherwise. I haven't told you about how good the youth were! They did a brilliant job with lots of participation in other interfaith panels, and the Spirit of Humanity was well represented. They were being invited by Valerian to interfaith things. Sonia was the overall organizer. Just amazing things were happening.

(Looking at audiovisual). You can see different panels going on. The Deputy Director of UNF couldn't come, so Zoom now always gets pulled in. The interfaith delegation. Franciscan monks, others and Golo being interviewed. Our reception. The BK UK and international group; the brothers were helping and supporting and chanting with our youth representative in front. Philippa came especially for a couple of days because there'll be a documentary prepared. Rajesh Bhai was incredible running around with his camera and equipment. Really one of the joys of COP is the time we spend together here. Karina is there on the other side. The Bishop of Panama and this is our dear local council, Brent and they invited us to have a photo shoot, and the photographer was asking me to pose, turn your chin here, turn your face here, to sit like this, so he had in mind whatever it is and this is how it came out. So this is an exhibition at the Brent Civic Centre which has a beautiful, very elegant play side. The SDG panel. The second woman is an indigenous youth leader from Orissa, quite an incredible person. The one sitting on the other side is a Phd student from Sudan, and the one in the middle with the microphone, that's her professor and they're both at the East Anglia university. Maureen and Carolyn went to meet them again and they had a gathering for them which was a very good workshop. The lady on the other side met us in 2014 and she keeps meeting us every time, she was at that time a PhD student and now is qualified and she's working with WWF also.

Every year Baba's message is more and more appreciated at the COPs because they want spirituality. One last thing and then I will stop; the activists were out there in full force, rain, cold, it didn't matter. Morning, afternoon, evening, they were out there with their message of reduction in this, do this, do that, do the other but with a smiling face. The police were always charming with them and all of us also, such an amazing atmosphere. One march, three BKs participated, and I just happened to see it. We had to go to the station for our train and then we saw this carnival. It felt and looked and sounded like carnival music and dance but all were asking for climate justice. So let's see in terms of the world. I don't think very much has been achieved, pardon me if I say that, it sounds significant but when will governments listen? So the world is going that way and the Baba's flag is going gradually this way and so spirituality, meditation is more and more being acknowledged and recognized.

Q: Bravo! Sister Jayanti and Bravo to the whole team and Baba pushing buttons to make it all happen.Amazing at these places how just connections work. So we move now from the glamour of COP back to our spiritual studies. If we go back to ekant and what does it mean to go to the end of one (Ek ke Antt mein), that's literally the translation. Please explain.

A: It means to really be able to connect with Baba, and to know Baba. You know how Sakaar Baba always says only a handful of you know me as I truly am.  So a question: what are my expectations of God? And do I realize that Baba has given me everything? I don't need to ask him for anything, everything is available for me and so our unrealistic or bhakti expectations of God mean that I haven't truly understood who God really is, when I'm dependent on a human being for something. Again, how well do I know God? Have I been able to go into the depths of God and make God belong to me so that I'm able to totally surrender to God? Also with no hesitation, no restrictions, no bondages for the mind, no distractions? Really truly to know who God is and how to come closer and closer to him so that then I can be (Baap samaan) like the Father.

Q: Regarding forgiving: one of the reasons why we can't forgive is because we've taken sorrow. It's like the sorrow has gone so deep in the soul. I would think the first premise is to not take the sorrow. Easier said than done, but what is the yukti of not to take the sorrow that goes in and then creating a conflict?

A: There are two things. One is the sorrow that has stayed in me for a long time from childhood, maybe I'm carrying that sorrow still. Open up people's hearts and they'll share with you the trauma that they experienced in childhood and that is still there, it often hasn't been dealt with. And so to be able to take so much love from Baba that the hurt is healed and I'm able to put it into context and say okay ‘karma, drama whatever it was, it happened, so full stop’. I'm not going to let my mind wander there again. Even if in conscious way, my mind isn't wandering there yet there's still a hurt that I carry. And so to take God's love and be able to remove that hurt, finish it and settle it because otherwise if I'm being rude to you today probably it's because I'm carrying a lot of sorrow from the trauma of the past, and at this moment I'm not thinking ‘oh because I've been traumatized this is why I'm speaking the way that I am.’ Very fascinating, this whole subject of trauma and how we've tried to deal with it or we've ignored it. We think we're okay and our behaviour is showing but it's not quite okay, so we have to deal with that first. Then secondly, the trauma or the sorrow that I've taken since coming to Baba and probably those are little things. It's not big things like childhood trauma, no comparison but yet still I've accumulated. This one said this to me at this time, this one said this to me at that time and so this is why I'm upset or I'm not very happy. Again with the power of gyan, to know that there's something within me that triggered that, because that same person is chummy and charming and very happy with another person, but why is it that I took sorrow? So to understand that for my sensitivity to be removed, I need to take from God power. The power of tolerance, the power to merge instead of carrying things with me. As I develop this power of tolerance I can deal with that also and today I need to have such an elevated state of happiness that little things happen and I can laugh it off. We know this experience when things are going well internally, something happens and you're not bothered by it. You'll say it's okay, never mind and you'll move on. When I'm not so strong spiritually I don't have that inner joy, then a little thing goes wrong and it becomes a big deal, a huge subject. So, different levels, different ways but first with God's love the trauma of childhood. Second, the accumulation of hurt; expanding my awareness so that my tolerance capacity grows. Thirdly, really being able to stay so above, so happy and joyful that you're not bothered by all these little things that are going on.

Q: Does that also include the trauma from past lives?

A: That I would say is more the habit of being sad or the habit of being unhappy. I could be wrong, but I don't think that the trauma of one birth carries on through to the next birth. We don't have enough research in the subject to verify it. I think probably the trauma of death, when a soul leaves its home that it's had for 80 years, 30 years, 40 years, however long when a soul leaves that home, that in itself is such a traumatic experience that it erases the memory generally of the past birth. Now it's in a new home, a new baby, a little foetus and it has space to reflect, space to think, so the trauma of just that moment. You know when you move house? How much time does it take you to settle and adjust and at least you're still yourself, and here in this case death has come. Such a dramatic traumatic experience that everything you knew is left behind, people, possessions, property, your home, your body, everything has been left and so that makes you forget. I think that any other trauma would also be forgotten by then. What does carry on is that lingering sense of the habit of sorrow, the sanskar of keeping sorrow so you've seen it happen today in this birth there's nothing that's specifically wrong but the person still isn't actually able to be happy. They need gyan to be able to come out of that sanskar or sorrow.

Q: Going by what you're saying, then the slate becomes clean, so where's the role of sanskar then?

A: The sanskar that I'm carrying is that of sorrow, and we were talking about trauma, and so where the soul has been traumatized, that certainly stays until you deal with it in that birth with Baba's love. As I say, I don't know if trauma is carried from one birth to another, but I do know that the sorrow that has come from the trauma, that sorrow is a sanskar. I don't have enough information on the external level to say that the trauma is also carried, I don't know.

Q: Baba tells us to have a powerful mind. What kind of mind is a powerful mind?

A: A mind that is clean, a mind that's elevated, a mind that's able to have the spiritual perspective in Baba's terminology, that's what powerful mind means. So I'm looking at things from a spiritual perspective. It is powerful to look at things with your third eye and not just your two physical eyes.

Om Shanti

Sister Jayanti - revision of Avyakt Murli of Sunday 19th Sept 2021 (original 23/03/1988)

2 February 2022

A video was shared about the Tortoise and the Hare, (Baba was mentioning in the Murli about slow and steady wins the race), and showed a picture of the dilruba instrument – it literally means that which ravishes or steals the heart.

Jayanti bhen: Beautiful! Thank you for sharing those two things and, yes, absolutely related to Baba's Murli yesterday. I don't know how many times Baba remembered the beloved specially loved children who were playing the song of love in their hearts, and the song of praise of God in their hearts. When we do this, definitely Baba is very happy and very pleased, and gives us the return of His love also. We sing praise of Baba, and Baba sings praise of His children, and those who conquer God's heart are the ones who also conquer the throne of the world. Baba said how if somebody claims the throne, then they claim the whole kingdom, and so Baba mentioned this beautiful expression, Mayajeet Jagatjeet, and so having conquered God's heart throne, we're able to have the power to be able to conquer Maya and also conquer the world.

It seems to be a lovely, lovely, simple way to be able to come to that state where we're able to have victory over all the things that are going on inside, and yet also receive the crown and the throne of the world. All you have to do is keep singing God's praise and keep saying, “Baba, you are mine and I am Yours,” that's all you need to do. Isn't it simple…isn't it easy? And it's such a lovely way to achieve everything that you hadn't even dreamt of.  Who could have dreamt that you could conquer God's heart? Who could have thought that they could be a conqueror of the world? Nobody even thought about what maya is, or how to conquer maya, but a very sweet and beautiful way that Baba expressed about the power of love basically. If Baba's hearing this sweet sound coming, then Baba also enjoys it, but sometimes there are other sounds that also come, and what might those be? Sometimes it's complaints about ourselves, our weaknesses; I’m here telling Baba: Baba I really want to do this but I can't do this, I can't do that. No, not a very pleasurable sound, not a very pleasant sound. Sometimes that's what we're doing. Sometimes ego creeps in, and we're saying: Baba I did this, Baba I did that, Baba I did the other; and so, it's praise of ourselves, whereas in fact, really, it's Baba who's doing it all. Instead of singing my praise, can I sing Baba's praise, because that truly is the reality. How could I have done anything? It was Baba who was doing whatever was needed. So, Baba shifted us away from both the weaknesses, the inferiority, but also the superiority, and these are the two big bugs of maya that come, and sometimes we dance between the two, down and up, and up and down, and Baba's saying, no, you stay steady and stable. Yes, you belong to God and God is doing what you need to do. He is doing what He needs to do, and He's making sure you need to do what you need to do.

A beautiful message from Baba, saying that sometimes there can be people who are very skilled (for example)  in the art of speaking, they're speaking with authority, they're very eloquent, and they're speaking many beautiful things much better than you. And so, if this is what people say about you that you speak well and so on, that's not what Baba really wants. Baba wants you to be able to connect other souls with Him, so that when you speak, what you're saying makes people aware that it isn't you with your own authority that is speaking these things, but it's the versions of that Highest Authority of All. What you're sharing is just being an instrument for sharing what has come from up above. When they say that, yes, now I can feel the presence of the Divine – when they can feel the praise of God coming through, and they're experiencing that – then you have brought them closer to Baba, not just closer to you. So, everything in terms of service; what is it all about? Baba’s saying not just your words but also your vision. What does your vision tell people? Is it filled with such spirituality that they experience themselves being drawn to God? Is your behaviour such, are your actions such, that they can see through your actions, the fact that the One who has explained the deep philosophy of karma, is the One that they are coming close to through what you do?

A few questions to ask myself: are they coming closer to me, or are they coming closer to Baba?  Are they experiencing God's praise, or is it something else that they're experiencing? So, Baba made us aware that lots of people have lots of different powers and skills, but you just have to step out of the way and let God do His work, because it's really time for them to get to know the Almighty Authority. If they don't get to know Him now, when else is it going to be possible for them? If they're not connected with God, how can they ever attain salvation? This is the time when – if revelation is to happen, and we know that it has to happen – then all of us have to be instruments to be able to reveal God through our behaviour and activity, our words and our vision. Whoever it is they're meeting, whoever it is they're seeing, they're able to see God's praise in real life in action, and that will open the curtain of revelation. Baba has often said that you are the instruments to reveal God to the world but today, in this murli, Baba's made it absolutely clear that only when we can do this – when the curtain parts, and we're able to reveal Baba – only then can there be the path of salvation for all souls.

Baba also explained in a very interesting way that this is the time when everybody has to claim whatever it is they choose to claim from God. Some will choose to become deities, some will choose to become devotees – and whatever they choose, it's fine – but in both cases, on both scores, we have to be the ones who are the ones who give. We're the children of the Bestower and so we carry the responsibility of giving, of bestowing, of sharing because if they're to become the deities, they should have experienced some attainment themselves, so that then they can be the ones who give. Whatever role it is they play in the golden age is up to them, but in the first instance, we have to be instruments to give them something so that they attain something – they experience the benefit of coming to Baba. Then, if they're to be the devotees in the future, that's their choice, and that's also fine, but they'll only become worshippers of the deities. If those were to be the deities, and now giving to them; then they will remember them as being the ones who have given. At whatever level, whether they are to become deities, whether they are to become bhagats – but the time for giving is this period now – and so it's so important to be able to give, give and give continually. Baba also mentioned how the kings of the golden and silver ages – but even to a certain extent in the copper age – have been remembered as the ones who sustain, the mother and father. How can you become those kings without giving to everyone, and sustaining them today? In the golden age, silver age…nobody will need sustenance. The story of the cycle continues that whatever I’ve taken now, I'll be able to give and share from the copper age onwards. The mother and father – the sustainers – the emperors and empresses of the golden age, that role of giving actually begins today. So, on any level, Baba reminds us that we really have to be the ones who learn to give.

Baba was also then very happy to see all the beloved children, all the ones who are the lovers of God, come together in Madhuban. It must have been a big gathering of maybe seven or eight hundred people from abroad at that time…I imagine that's the number. Om Shanti Bhawan would have been absolutely full with others from Bharat also, but especially the double foreigners. And Baba's asking us a question: are you ready to share? It is now a bigger family and already night and day have become equal; you've turned the night into the day. Baba would spend the whole night with us, and so Baba’s reminding us, well, it's now time to share, including sharing your time. So, where Baba would give a lot of time to individuals, now Baba was making us aware that He's not going to be able to give so much time to individuals. I remember some scenes where somebody would cry and say, oh, but Baba gave so much time to this one, Baba didn't give me so much time; and on the one side, my heart went out to them, but on the other side, I would remind them that each word from Baba is a blessing, and so Baba was saying, even two words from God are really, truly an amazing blessing. If Baba says, “Keep flying,” it's a blessing, and so keep flying; experience that stage and don't ever, ever compare yourself to another: this one had more time than me…or anything like that; because Baba said that the love isn't being divided – time is being divided. Love isn't being divided – the love is the same for each and every one, and Baba's ready to give love to all. Can the Ocean of Love ever dry out? There's so much love; just keep taking as much love as you wish from God, and if somebody says to you, Baba loves me more than He loves you, you can smile back at them and say, well, I think Baba loves me a lot also. Or you can even say, Baba loves me more, and so that's pure pride and Baba allows that because it's important to just maintain your dignity, your stage, and not think about what else is going on for anyone else at that moment. Let me remember the blessings I have had from Baba, then I'm not distracted by what anyone else is saying, and Baba remembers the story of the one who seems to be going very fast but gets tired. In this case, it was distracted, but literally gets tired and so stops making effort, and the other one who's been slow and steady – they keep moving – and maybe it appeared that they were coming last but they're actually going to go fast and become first. Brahma Baba has that fixed role of being the number one, but God's love is for everyone, and so you can still be part of the first division. A very interesting point, Baba’s saying but the results are not yet out, and so how can you decide I'm last, or I'm here or there? Just have that faith in yourself and do what needs to be done, so that you're able to continually move forward and reach the destination. Baba very, very loving… just reminding us that we need to make sure our steps are based on Shrimat and if our steps are based on Shrimat, then God's love is definitely there. Those who see, will see God's virtues in action and will come closer to God, and so those blessings of love from God and the family are going to be reaching the soul.

Baba truly inspires and encourages us and makes sure that we don't get into other stories. Think about it, if there's something beautiful to relate, you saw beautiful things in just one minute, and so that's all it takes – a minute – but if there's a whole story of misunderstandings, of quarrels, of conflict and complications – it takes a long time – and so Baba was saying, don't get into those stories, Ram Katha. It will take you into the silver age, it is a story of Rama, it is not the story of Shri Krishna, and so experiencing God's love is a story of Shri Krishna; and getting into other stories and complications brings you from the golden age down into the silver age, and we don't want that to happen. Just tell Baba: I'm fine, I'm okay; and just keep singing praise of God and God's love, that's what's going to be the important thing.

1988 was actually the last season that we met Baba individually. As we get to the end of the season in these murlis (which is just a few more murlis to go), then we'll hear God's plan for that next period of time. At that moment it was just that warning: you have to learn to share time with everyone; and then it's not in minutes that you can count God's love, it's your own depth of love that's going to bring God's love to you also. Let the heart play that beautiful song of God's praise and you'll feel how God's love is coming back to you, and making you victorious on every level. A very loving, very beautiful murli to remind us how easy and how natural it is to become the conqueror of everything: the conqueror of Maya, the conqueror of the world; what more could we want?

Q.  Do you want to just talk about hum so-so hum (Baba is saying the riddle of hum so). How do you understand that, so that we can imbibe it better?

A.  It's one of the bhakti expressions that has really stayed very, very strongly. The whole period of bhakti, people chant, “Om” – that's a very powerful one – but the other is “hum so-so hum”, and “hum so” that which I was, “so hum” that which I will be again. So, now I'm a Brahmin about to become an angel, and to become a deity, and can I feel the deity stage now? And Baba's told us many times – and in this Murli also – this experience of not just you feeling that Baba's given you a costume of light, but others also seeing you as that subtle angel. And so, let me go to Paramdham, the soul learning to travel, going home, and then when I come back down, I stop in a subtle dimension, and I take on my costume of light, and all of us have that costume of light waiting for us in the subtle region. Just imagine walking into a closet and there's all of these subtle angelic costumes lined up, and you choose the one which is yours – it's got your name on it – and so you put on that costume of light, and you're able to experience meeting BapDada in that angelic costume of Brahma Baba, and you stay there with love. So, when it's time to come down, you bring that costume of light with you here, and it is as if you're doing all the things you need to do but you feel light, the soul is shining, it's in a state of awareness; this body doesn't feel heavy, gross, matter, but it's now subtle, it's angelic, and you do everything that you need to do, taking on this costume of light. And the more you do it, the more comfortable you will begin to feel in it, and so truly, I, the Brahmin soul, am the angelic being. And next step, of course, the angels are the ones who are giving and serving and the messengers of God, with God, but beyond that then, yes, we go home in between and when we come down, we are those deities, those beings who have been filled with God's virtues, so that the transformation has taken place, and my own highest qualities are being expressed. I'm practicing today – it's the rehearsal time – but there, the rehearsal's over…it's now time for the drama to begin…the curtains have parted and the deities are there on the stage ready. And so how do I look at each one, how do I speak, how do I behave, what is the quality of life that I have, what is the quality of relationships that I have? Baba's making us experiment with all of this today so that those sanskars emerge.

People have this concern about the environment; anyway, the end is coming, so why should we bother with all of these things, whether it's vegan diet or whether it's recycling and taking care of the environment. What I'm doing is developing that sanskar of regard: regard for my own costume, so that I treat this body of mine with respect; regard for all forms of life; and then regard for nature itself; and as I develop this regard, I've created and emerged again that sanskar of respect and regard for everyone and everything. And so, Satyug, it will be there in a natural way; the needle will be on that record, and that song is playing and the song is a song of Satyug, and so that role will begin to emerge, but the preparation, the recording of that record, is today. So, I've just taken up one aspect of regard, but all the qualities of the deities…spend time visualising them. There was this exquisite exchange in which there were lots of beautiful descriptions of Satyuga – what you would feel like and how you would behave there – so experiment with that again and, yes, after the deity stage, I know I'll come back through the cycle; I'll experience a silver age, I'll start looking for God and expressing love for God but, again, I will be the one who's searching for God. Baba said beautifully, Of course, God loves you so much! Would God have searched East and West and North and South looking for you, if He didn't love you, and so where did all of you come from, how did God find you all? And you on your own weren't able to find God, so God had to come and intervene. So, that beautiful experience of God finding us and becoming Brahmins again – giving us a new birth – so that, truly, the world of sorrow gets left behind now – not in the future – we are letting go of Kaliyug now. We are now in Sangamyug; that Brahmin stage and the angelic stage. The next step, we go home, and come down into the golden age, so hum. So now I'm remembering who I was, but I'm also becoming that again, so past, present and future get completely clarified and emerged and expressed.

Q.  Many years ago you had mentioned that in times of chaos, we have to become invisible, so that if somebody is coming to attack us, we will be invisible and they will not be able to see us. Do you remember mentioning that?

A.  I do remember and it's something that's come up in a blessing just last week but somebody in our Hindi class – one of the old matajis – came up to the microphone when that blessing was read, and she said that she wants to share a story that Sharona had shared in Madhuban and she was very eloquent. I've not heard her as eloquent before, and she said that Sharona had related the story of two people travelling in a bus – two sisters – and the bus was stopped by terrorists and they took over; they made everybody come out and they were killing everybody, they were shooting around, and most of the people were wounded – many were killed – and there were a few who were still left, including these two sisters. And by then the police had arrived and they asked them if they would be able to identify the people who did this, and they said, yes, we saw them very clearly. They very quickly brought some suspects and they had them line up, and the sisters were able to identify a couple of them, and the sisters asked the police, “Can we ask them a question,” and the police said, “Yes, of course!” And they asked the terrorists, “How come we were there right in front and you didn't do anything to us?” And the terrorist said, “We didn't see you.” So, real life story; if I'm in my costume of light, you don't see me.

I had a very interesting experience this morning, actually, and again it reminded me of this particular story, but there was light coming in from the window at the back, and the person in front of me – I couldn't see them – and it was a game of light but the light was so strong that that individual seemed to disappear – I couldn't see them – I knew they were there, but I couldn't see them; and so, Baba's light, your light, shining so powerfully they get blinded, they don't see.

Q.  Another story, Jayanti bhen, in your Q&A session with Dadi Gulzar, in which you asked her: what difference does one moment make…one moment of remembrance? You had asked her that Baba says just one moment, and she said that when we've eaten some good food then we remember it, don't we?…the memory of that taste is there…which is why we keep going back to it, and so once we've had this taste of Baba's remembrance, then it's like we want to taste it again and again. Do you want to comment on that?

A.  I think that's absolutely true, and as you ask that question now, there was another thought that came to my mind and that is: one moment of remembrance and I have to make a decision, and if I have that moment of remembrance, that one decision can shape my life for the future, and if in that moment, I don't have God's remembrance and I make my decision on my own, with influences from here and there, that can take me in a very different direction. One moment of remembrance can lift me up there, and lack of remembrance can take me down. Just a moment of remembrance can be extremely powerful.

Q.  In the Murli, Baba said that even though the Father's love is numberwise, it is still number one for all. Any more depth on that?

A.  My experience of God's love is my own, and if I'm clear and clean, I can feel God's love pouring out and I'm absorbing it within myself. If I'm caught up in some inner struggle, or I'm caught up with waste thoughts about others, whatever else, the experience that I'm having even from day to day, is number wise. God's love is for all, and so that is number one for everyone. Baba's good wishes just in this murli, Baba’s saying you can be number one, Baba is encouraging me, Baba’s moving me forward and saying, keep flying. I'm screwing up my face, and my thoughts are all muddled and confused, and Baba’s saying that you were wandering around, you were lost, you were confused and I found you, I came to find you. So, our experience is number wise but this is because of our own inner state, not because God is saying less here, more here.

Q.  In the world, they say it took 200,000 years to reach 1 billion and it's taken 200 years to reach 8 billion, so my question is: these souls that have come down in the last 200 years, what do they want? What will we be giving to them?

A.  They want liberation, they want peace, so even if they are still going through maybe their copper age experience. They are still not finally at their final tamopradhan stage where they are ready to say, all I want is God, nothing more; all I want is peace and truth. They're not there yet, and we do find that there are still so many countries where people are just caught up in their own comforts and their own lives, and it's okay. If we're in contact with some souls like that and, generally speaking, we are, that's okay, just keep the door of communication open with them, so that you're able to stay in touch and they know you're around, and a moment will come when they hit their point of sorrow and they will then say, “Can you explain something? How come you are so peaceful? How come you've constantly been loving, no matter what else has happened?” And so that moment has to come for each one; that they are ready to hear something about God or something about the soul. So, I think that time is coming very, very soon for a lot of people.

Q.  This is a little personal question and please answer it as personally as you can. You are a dilruba child, Sister Jayanti – you have won Baba's heart – but can you tell us what is it like to be totally in love with the Supreme Soul…a soul? What's the feeling for you?

A.  The feeling for me, when I surrendered to Baba, was absolutely lost in love, and today it's a huge amount of love but yet that feeling of being lost in love is there from time to time. It's not there continually because I find myself getting too much involved with emails and meetings and all sorts of things, and I have to learn to let all that carry on down here, and I stay up above. But that feeling of being totally lost in love, and like Dadi had said, because I've had that experience, I'm able to recapture it again and again, and get that feeling and keep moving forward. It's that stage when really nothing else matters, the only thing is that you want to spend your life with Baba – you don't want anything else, you don't want physical comforts – it's not an issue. You know, they say that love in a garret is fine, in an attic is fine – it doesn't matter – so it was that sort of feeling that externally whatever is going on in terms of comforts, that doesn't matter; but also, whatever other people are telling you: you should do this, you shouldn't do this. You know in your heart that you're going to do only what Baba wants you to do, and that's not to say that you're disrespectful with everybody else, because you know that they're trying their best – but you're not impacted by it, you don't feel anything about it – you smile at them, okay, I understand; but your decision is to belong to Baba, and nothing is going to sway you from that.

In terms of today, when I capture that feeling and re-experience it, what it does to me is to say, well, okay, whatever else is going on, I have to stay just in that experience of God's love, and hand over things to Baba, so that Baba gets things sorted out here, and whatever is to be, will be, and I know that I've done my best and that's all I can say to Baba; whatever else needed to happen, well I did what I could. It's a very lovely feeling in which only you and Baba exist. There isn't anything else – no more space in that world – just you and Baba; and yes, Baba wants you to do service, but you do that also only because you know that other souls have the right to come to God and have, like Baba said, You've got the ocean, you've swallowed all of us, we've been given so much, we've swallowed the ocean, and let others have even a little drop of that, and so service of course, yes, let me be available for that, but God's love is the only thing that's important.

Q.  Sister Jayanti, you remind me of those loyal Indian brides that only are there loving their husband and irrespective of the rest.

A.  But that's any bride, not just Indian brides. This is how Baba uses this term “bride” and He is the Bridegroom. And it comes in other traditions also, in the Bible, the brides of God, the brides of, then sometimes they have used the word Christ, but the brides of God, that really is a universal image; the Sufis, their love for God and the surrender to God because of that love.

Q.  When Baba has to create the new creation, He creates the subtle region. So, how does He do that?

A.  Here's Shiv Baba in Paramdham and here's Brahma Baba, Dada Lekhraj, going along his own way and content and happy, and everything's going well in his world. And Shiv Baba has the thought, and that thought allows Him to come, and He knows that things don't start here, things are going to begin with visions, and so it's not a physical reality, it's a state of consciousness. But Shiv Baba allows that creation to happen, and the first one who's part of that creation is this man. And he has a vision of God, he has a vision of the better world, he has a vision of hum so-so hum, Vishnu, and this man is now God's instrument. And now, still from the subtle region, Shiv Baba is touching many souls here, and they have a vision of Brahma Baba, they have a vision of Krishna, they have a vision of Vishnu – all of these things were going on – and the subtle region is at work, and God comes and takes over this human being, and starts to speak, and the whole story begins. But still there's a lot of work that's still happening from the subtle region even as the Om Mandli was created; many were having visions but in particular then, the trans mediums in Karachi; and Dadi Gulzar seeing Avyakt Brahma and understanding that Shiv Baba came, and then explained that this one here is the same one there, this man is to become that angel. So, the whole story of establishment is through visions; and then, there's the part through Gyan, which we've been through, and Baba emphasizing Gyan and yoga as we hear in the sakar Murlis. Now as we hear the Avyakt Murlis, Baba's asking us to be the ones who can give visions to others, but we have to be in that awareness ourselves, and so the more we understand this mechanism of moving into that subtle dimension through our consciousness and our awareness, the faster God's work can happen.

Baba’s reminder in this Murli, that it's time for revelation and so don't slow down that task, reveal Baba, but it won't be revelation through words, it'll be through experience, and it'll be through your activity and your consciousness and awareness. So, the whole task of establishment, especially at the beginning and, yes, the sustenance that we've had for 50 plus years was through Avyakt BapDada coming, so the subtle region was very deeply involved. How come there's this frail woman sitting on the stage alone, and what is that Avyakt subtle power that comes through her and is able to impact not just 25,000 people sitting in front of her, but it's so amazing that people all over the world are tuning in, even if it's two o'clock in the morning for them. They used to do that in New Zealand. Baba would come in the evening – it was 2 am there – I remember being there at one point and so we went to bed and got up early, ready, and at 2am we were sitting there watching Baba on screen…so, what was this magic that was going on? Even that part is over now, but this next part is waiting to begin, and we are the ones who are going to open the curtains on this next part, that we become so subtle that the subtle region is able to work through us, and Baba can be revealed. It's not on a physical level that all this can happen, just as God's tasks so far, how did Baba touch intellects and transform them and make them instruments. Every country has its own amazing story about how Baba touched souls, and souls became instruments, and I've seen it happen in such an amazing way in so many places.

Q.  Someone's asking that, Baba uses subtle regions now, and then in heaven He's in retirement, so how does He conduct himself during Bhakti?

A.  Baba says that from the time that the bhagats start calling out, Baba is very aware of what is going on, and Baba responds to the cry of the bhagats, the call of the bhagats and, yes, it's in drama that they have visions or that they have attainment at a limited level, but it's actually God pressing the buttons, in a sense, and making things happen. God and drama work together absolutely hand in hand, and so yes, God shares something and drama reveals it in a practical way, so they work together, Baba and drama.

Q.  Someone's saying that in the early seventies, when the service in London looked bleak, Sister Jayanti was advised by Dadiji to work on herself and prepare her stage. So how did you do that?

 A.  Dadi said (wrote in a letter) – this is August 1969 – and I started my period of intense meditation, and every two hours, I would ensure that I had 30 minutes of sitting down yoga, and it could be 10 minutes/20 minutes, it could be 15/15, sometimes it was 30 minutes at a stretch, but I would make sure that every two hours there was 30 minutes of yoga, and I was fortunate that my situation allowed me to do that, but that was my tapasya all the way through till May 1971, and so it was about a year and a half. And then in 1971, we got the news that the delegation was going to the US, and they could stop in London, so from that moment on things became busy. And they've stayed very busy, and got busier, but that was one thing, the 30 minutes yoga. The second was, I kept a chart of soul consciousness, and I would recommend anybody who wants to try to really move forward, keep a chart of that. Every hour just note down how many minutes you were soul conscious in the last hour, and sometimes it's a shock; you got so busy that it was nothing, you were not doing anything wrong, not even waste thoughts, but you were just busy, but that's also ordinary consciousness, it's not soul consciousness. And so, the next hour I was more aware, more attentive, and then that level of soul consciousness gradually increases, and so soul consciousness and sitting down yoga were the two things.

Q.  Does everyone have a light body, lokik people as well?

A.  I don't know about lokik but Baba has categorically stated that every Brahmin has a costume of light in the subtle region.

Q.  Can you explain about the first division? Does that mean only the eight jewels?

A.  I personally think that the first division would mean the eight jewels. The 108 would be the next.

Q.  Any tips you can give to developing visualisation so I can see myself in Paramdham?

A.  I don't know if I can give you a tip. I'd say just experiment with it first, you see yourself as a soul. Can I feel it, and through my inner eye of awareness, see it? It's not a physical seeing, it's a seeing through that inner awareness, and when I can see myself as a soul and feel myself as a soul, can I take another step and say, can I be here and see this, and detach myself from this costume? Then let me go to Paramdham, in that world of infinite light, a place where there are no walls, and see myself there. So, try it, and the more you experiment with it, the easier it becomes.

Q.  How do I become trikaldarshi in every action?

A.  If I'm drinking a cup of tea or a cup of water – whatever it is – at that moment, can I just simply practice being aware of the soul and connected with Baba, and refresh the soul while I'm refreshing the body. So, when it's simple things like this, get on with it. But when I'm thinking about somebody I'm going to meet, let me think about the past, let me think about the present, but let me also be aware of the future outcome. And so now, how should I behave with this individual, so that the future is one of benevolence for all. Or, I'm thinking about going somewhere, doing something, so when I'm planning all of these things, let me think, well, what is the history of this situation? Now what can be the best outcome, and so what do I have to do today?

You'll remember all the things that Baba has told you about, and you emerge those ideas and that consciousness, and so you've understood what you've learned from the past; now you're applying it to the present, and so the future outcome is definitely going to be – maybe not what you thought it was going to be – but it's going to be the best possible outcome. So, it applies to situations like that, you know, I'm putting on my jacket and putting on my coat, because I've looked at the weather outside, and so I've seen rain or shine, or heat or cold, and so that's the automatic process of life, and you don't need to spend too much time thinking about where did I buy this coat, is it warm enough; no, you can do that very quickly, it's automatic responses that are there. But when it's significant moments then, yes, you have to be very, very aware and very careful; when it's relationships, again, the care that you give to handling all of this will stand you in good stead.

Thank you so much Sister Jayanti. Always lovely, your words are becoming like Mahavakya…versions like versions of God.

Om Shanti.

Sister Jayanti – 30th January 2022 - GCH What does awareness depend on?

1 February 2022

Baba the Supreme Teacher wants to make the journey as easy as possible for us and so Baba sometimes asks us to remember just one word, sometimes it is two words and sometimes it is 3 words, but it is never more than three words.

And today Baba has taken up just one word and that word is smriti, awareness.

Baba has used several phrases that sum up everything in gyan and a very famous expression from the Gita that is often talked about in Raj Yoga is: Nast-moha Smriti Labda’, I have destroyed all attachments and now the awareness has returned.

Arjuna uses this expression finally at the end of the 18 chapter after having gone through all the conversations and the questions and the doubts with God and uses this expression: now all my attachments have been conquered and now the memory has returned; the awareness has returned.

Baba has explained how awareness is the basis of yoga, gyan, dharna and service and if you keep your focus on the awareness then everything else will be fine. And so then the question is, what does awareness depend on?

There is another expression that Baba used that actually has been the basis for a lot of our work at the United Nations and that expression is how smriti vruti drishti kriti and then srishti how all of these words are linked together. Most of you may have recognised these Hindi words but let me translate these words; it is awareness, attitude, vision, action and the world. And in between “action” and the “world”, we sometimes throw in another word: sanskriti, culture.

And so just taking up that expression you can see how whatever we are doing at the United Nation is connected with this particular expression. And the whole of the Climate Change Conferences that we attended, that has been the subject that we have taken up. Consciousness and Transformation and Climate Change and it works; it is very clear and people can then understand what is going on outside.  And when those people don’t connect with what is going on outside then when you explain that step of a situation of consciousness within then it just takes a few seconds for them to understand it.

So, what Baba has done is to change our consciousness; change our awareness Baba has explained the details of body and soul and God and who I am and the original deity stage and all of these things. But I want to take it a step further back and see how awareness is created.

Awareness is created through whatever thoughts are going on in my mind through the whole day. And so if my thoughts are ordinary, if my thoughts are less than ordinary, waste or anything else then what is my awareness going to be? My awareness is going to be down here.

So Baba gives us a very lovely method to be able to change the quality of our thinking through the whole day and that is through the murli.Listen to the murli every day or read the murli every day and take something from the day’s murli. Dadi used to say take 3 points from the murli every day- just three! Don’t take 5 or 10 points…if you want to then you can…but it is a lot more work. And so just take 3 points from the murli every day and use that as the basis for churning and changing the pattern of thinking.

There are lots of periods throughout the day when the work that you are doing is more with your eyes and hands rather than with your buddhi, with your intellect.  And so while I am doing my work with my hands I am engaging my intellect with Baba’s knowledge and reflecting on Baba’s knowledge and so my heart is with my Beloved. Whereas my buddhi is churning Baba’s knowledge and so I will be appreciating Baba and loving Baba and my heart will be with the Beloved.

When I am listening, absorbing, revising and then reflecting and then I am really extracting the power from that. And that then leads me through to the stage where Baba is in my awareness. The Hindi words all rhyme: manan, chintan, manthan and the simran. And in bhakti they give a lot of value to this word “simran”, what is it that is constantly emerging in your thinking. They take up the rosary and they take up the chant. There are different ways, but I know from people who do bhakti…I have not done any of these things; I must have done it in my past birth, but I didn’t do any bhakti in this birth.

But people who do bhakti in this birth tell me that because the mind works in different channels so you are listening but you are also thinking about many other things possibly. Or you are so focussed that you are only listening and absorbing, whichever, but the mind can work on many channels. And then the power of concentration is to be able to get all the channels to become quiet, so that the one channel that you want to stay connected with Baba in gyan is the one you leave on. All the other channels have been switched off. That is concentration.

And in that stage of concentration there is then simran, the soundless chant is what is going on in your awareness all the time.

But of ,course so often in bhakti your hands are rotating the beads and maybe your eyes are focused on the idol or image in front of you or maybe you just close your eyes, but your mind is somewhere else. You are chanting Rama -Rama and in India they always laugh and say: you say Rama – Rama very quickly and some people think they have to get it done quickly and so they are repeating it quickly and then it sounds like as if they are saying Mara – Mara; it means I am dying – I am dying!

So that is the chanting that is going on in my mind.

My mind can be anywhere, it can be with my children, with my menu or with the work I have to do, whatever. So here, Baba is saying: “let your thoughts go into the depth of gyan”.As you go into the depth and draw that power then that is going to lead to simran just the constant chant of Baba, but not in words but in feelings. And then it is going to lead to smriti, awareness.

The other day Baba spoke a lot about the power of thoughts and the value of thoughts and so my thoughts are my treasures. My thoughts and how I use my time, not just externally but also internally. So my thoughts and my time are the special treasures of sangamyug, which is why they say: Janak was able to have Jivan mukti in a second; liberation in life in a second. He had a thought, a realisation and liberation.  It can be as easy as that, but it can take decades.

Baba was very aware of the last go fast souls and so Baba says yes there is space in the rosary and so make that effort.

The other slogan that all of this reminded me of is “when I change the world changes”. And so this expression: “as is the awareness, so is the attitude, vision, action and all of that, is again the link between my change and firstly my world changing.  And then not just my little world changing but there is a study by Harvard-University, where they found that if one person does one act of kindness they are able to trace it to 125 others being influenced to also have an act of kindness From 1 to 125 is a lot, so the change in one and there is change in many others.

Many of you have shared that experience of how you have been working in an open plan office and you are not smoking…now things are different you can’t smoke in the office anyway…but in the days that you could, so many would say, that seeing me that influence spread and everybody in that office stopped smoking. But that influence is able to reach out in many other ways also. And if everyone here is changing 125 others that is a good deed, it is going to impact London in a big way

So Baba has given us the understanding of how all of these things work. We talk about world- transformation and it is not far away, but it depends on us: “What is the awareness that I am keeping and how long am I able to keep it”. So it is a very powerful murli –it is a very powerful reminder of how easy it is and also how easy it is to also forget.

In the murli Baba has also remembered the first Science and Consciousness symposium that we held in Athens, and Anthony and Rashula from Athens, as well as a team from London were organizing. And in that first symposium, we had 2 Nobel laureates join - one Brian Josephson, a physics laureate, who is still a very good friend, and another who was a medicine laureate. So Baba's vision was focussed on Athens! And amazing things happened. There was a lot of opposition from the Greek Orthodox Church - I remember when we were preparing for the first session, we saw on the TV a broadcast of the strong feelings of opposition, and Rashula was concerned that any of the IPs or VIPs who had seen the TV might not come. And I said "just remember Baba". And everything went very smoothly - the IPs/VIPs had either not seen the program or not been impacted. It was a very beautiful experience. And after that, we had 6 Science and Consciousness symposia - Jagdishbhai was there and other powerful individuals. So Baba's vision is very powerful.

Om Shanti
