Dear Friends,
Welcome to your next episode of...
Open your eyes to the Youniverse: Saturday 26 June 2021 at 6:00pm - 7:30pm (AEDT)
Join mathematician and yogini Dr Grace Lopez-Charles in conversation with Gabrielle Martin as they explore Deciphering Truth.
Who deceives you and how easily are you deceived? Daily we are bombarded by a profusion of information courtesy a plethora of social media platforms. In this ocean of diverse topics, theories, and opinions, how do we know which voices are speaking words of truth? There is an exceptionally fine line between truth and falsehood. How do you know when someone is not being sincere?
This conversation will focus on the importance of deciphering truth, through the development of a powerful tool – discernment!
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr Grace Lopez - Charles (BSc PhD) has spent 30 years in the field of Education as a teacher and lecturer in Mathematics with over 3 years-experience in research into teaching and learning of Mathematics. She has also been actively involved in Educator training in Values Education – training educators working with children and young adults in and out of the classroom.
For the past 23 years she has been a student and teacher of Raja Yoga as taught by the Brahma Kumaris.
She lived in Cambridge, UK until 2008, when she was asked to assist in the activities of the Brahma Kumaris in Ghana, West Africa. Grace now divides her time between Ghana and UK.

Introducing The Australian Virtual Centre (AVC, VC) - New Programs for June!
6 June 2021
Dear BK family around the globe,
WE WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE THE AUSTRALIAN VIRTUAL CENTRE (AVC)
We are aware that many BK centres around the world are already holding online events. In the AVC, Australian online events will be seen together and accessed live, as if they were all happening under the same roof. Each of them could well be attended by anyone, anywhere, right around the world.
WHAT CAN I DO IN THE AVC?
The AVC will have the feel of entering a place of calm, where people can:
- watch videos and listen to podcasts,
- spin a virtue wheel to receive a personal daily virtue,
- access live or recorded events,
- visit a personalised meditation room
- organise a conversation with an experienced tutor.
WHERE IS THE AVC?
The AVC will "live within" Baba's existing Australian national website. Its address is brahmakumaris.org.au/virtual-centre
WHO IS IT FOR?
The AVC will concentrate on events that can be accessed by all members of the public, as it is with the non-BK population that we have lost connection with since Covid-19. There will be a variety of events including talks, seminars, courses, workshops, cooking demonstrations and meditation sessions.
The operations team includes both BKs from Australia and overseas. The Coordinator for the AVC is Sister Sona Bahri, from the UAE.
We trust you will find time to visit us and also recommend the AVC services to others who could take benefit.
If you think that you would like to contribute to classes, courses, talks or workshops you can contact us at virtual.centre@au.brahmakumaris.org
Attached video is of our upcoming events for the month of June and July and here is the Youtube link for the promo https://youtu.be/PbaBttN83YU

Here are some words from Dadi Janki (former head of Brahma Kumaris, who passed away a year ago aged 104 years):
"I can only bring true lasting benefit to others when I have a loving attitude towards them, no matter what they are like.
To help bring about the best in everyone, regardless of their mood or disposition, I need to ask, "How can I make a positive contribution here?"
This attitude of giving is one of the great secrets of inner contentment."
We look forward to seeing you around the beautiful log fire in the dining room,

Parzival and the Search for the Holy Grail: A Quest of Self Discovery: A retreat for men
Based on "Parzival" written as a poem in an old German language of late 12 Century, by Wolfram von Eschanbach . .. ,. Percival is an earlier, but unfinished version of the story, written by a French Cleric, Chretien de Troyes. It is one of the great archetypal quest stories, in this case, of the -all -too- human Parzival and his noble quest for the Holy Grail. It is a story of wounding and healing, of being lost and finding one's way again. It can be understood as a guide for life - an allegorical study of the stages of development and of the struggle for transformation. Parzival's journey takes him from innocence and folly, towards competence and self -knowledge. The story shows the importance and value of love. loyalty and courage to finally reach a place of spiritual realization and fulfillment .

“Fulfilling Baba's Vision - Becoming Extraordinary” - A Report from Asia Pacific Regional Brothers' Retreat
5 May 2021
The Asia Pacific Regional Brothers’ Retreat 2021 with the theme of “Fulfilling Baba’s Vision – Becoming Extraordinary” was held from Friday 23 - Sunday 25 April 2021 (Friday evening to Sunday after lunch MYT). This online program was organised with the intention to reach out to the brothers in the Asia Pacific region with the pure intention of helping them with the spiritual sustenance collectively during this pandemic time. The objective of the program was i) Understanding Baba’s vision and fulfilling His expectation by consolidating our brahmin life, ii) The Pandavas role as trail-blazers and charting new frontiers for better future, iii) Empowering the Self to face challenges and crossing the threshold to the point of no return, and iv) The Pandavas best practices and extraordinary achievements as the protectors of Yagya. There are more than 220 participants registered for the retreat from various countries in the Asia Pacific Region. Online translation was provided in six languages.
Senior speakers across the globe were invited for the retreat including Bro Charlie Hogg (Australia), Bro Ken O’ Donnell (Brazil), Bro Marcelo (Columbia) and Sis Usha (Madhuban) who spoke on various topics relevant for the brothers’ spiritual developments. Bro Charlie Hogg (Australia) reiterated that one has to really work on the self to overcome the various barriers in living up to Baba’s expectation. Bro Ken O’ Donnell (Brazil), shared the situation of the world during the current pandemic and that we should work on yoga power to face the various challenges. Sis Usha (Madhuban) explained explicitly the myths, characteristics and the charisma of the five pandavas and how it’s still relevant to the current situation. Bro Marcelo (Columbia) emphasised the role of pandavas and highlighted Brahma Baba and senior brothers as typical examples. Didi (Dr) Nirmala and Meera Didi (Malaysia) read the murlis during the retreat. Didi (Dr) Nirmala shared the specialities of the pandavas in the history of the yagya. An array of senior teachers was also included in panel, interview, dialogue and spiritual chit-chat under various interesting topics. In an effort to engage all the participants, online workshop and creative activity was organised and was very well received.
The general trend of all the speakers is the importance of paying attention to developing spiritual resilience and sustaining individually and collectively in facing the future challenges and fulfilling Baba’s hopes. The retreat ended with a high spirit with sharing of experiences, sharing of virtual blessings and with the feeling that such program should be organised more often in the future. Om shanti

Lets Care for Earth and Replenish the Soul - June Newsletter from Blue Mountains Retreat Center in Australia
4 May 2021
Dear friends,
Om Shanti. Greetings of peace.
May is a beautiful time of the year. The coloured leaves in the Stone Cottage gardens look like a painting. The sky is blue and the sun is warm. The creek is flowing happily, like a song.
Here are some words of wisdom from Dadi Janki, the head of Brahma Kumaris who passed away in 2019 aged 104 years:
When my stamina begins to diminish I remind myself to enjoy whatever I do and pour love into every task. Then my energy will be replenished.
Take care, use every moment in a worthwhile way and send good wishes around the world.
Warmest wishes,
Sally
